Beware of Sears
Sears is proving to be incapable of servicing customers. "In-stock" oven & microwave purchased 11/18/13 at online outlet was supposed to be delivered no later than 11/26/13. Received "out for shipping" notice on 11/20/13. Here we are 12/2/2013 and nobody at Sears seems to have an answer. Every department refers me to another department and I don't have a clue where my oven is. I am fearful they may be out of business before I can get my money back.

came home Nov. 22 to a house that was cooling down. looked at thermostat and it was blank. called sears service and was told that with thanksgiving so close they didn't have a tech available and they would reimburse me to buy electric space heaters and would call in 24 to 48 hours to schedule service. called and sent out tech late Monday. determined that the intergraded module system that was installed with my split system heat pump was not communicating with thermostat. service tells me that the 5 year warranty I bought does not cover this so I called Honeywell corp. to see where I could purchase a new system and was told that this is a contractor only item that the installer would have to replace it. called sears and explained this to them. and was told that they did not have a tech available still. it has been over a week and I still am heating with space heaters.
Corporate Customer Support
After purchasing a king size mattress set and having issues with the product (for over 5 weeks). I've been bounced between the store and customer service (telephone)... without any resolve. The manager of the store said I had to contact customer service - customer service said I had to speak with the manager of the department. For over a month I am now faced with time limitations for the transaction and no service. I mistakenly was in a shouting match with corporate customer service where the customer service agent hung up on me. leaving to try and figure out what is my next recourse... I'm so disappointed and disillusioned with Sears and their service.
Thanksgiving opening
I am in full support of the NH store franchise owner's decision to not open on Thanksgiving! I'm sure the corporate heads themselves will not be in a store working but will be home enjoying the holiday with their families. If legal action is taken against the NH franchise owner, or any other franchise owner or employee of Sears I will cut up my card and never shop in a Sears store again and will encourage others to do the same. Shame on Sears!

Sad to see Sears and Kmart opening on Thanksgiving. Apparently the corporate offices feels money and greed is more important than family and our country's traditions. I have decided not to shop at Kmart or Sears. Not just for the holidays. I know it is small and insignificant, but it is all I can do. It is one of the last days a family can be together. Unless you are the medical or safety field, there is no need for this other than greed. It is how the fabric of our country slowly deteriorates. People are blinded by the sales and don't see the bigger picture. Oh well, just one person's opinion. I choose family.
I commend Holly Cassiano of a New Hampshire Sears franchise, for not opening her doors for sales on Thanksgiving Day! Corporate Sears should be ashamed of itself for its sacrilege on this National holiday, an American Custom. I will personally boycott Sears if corporate executives try to bully her!
Poor Holiday Advertising
As a former employee of Kmart Hdqts. when Kmart was in its prime, I am shocked you would think these ads would bring shoppers into your stores. I have never seen such poor, overplayed, advertising. Where is the catchy holiday message that says "come into our store" instead of repetitive "body movements"? Try again!!
Holiday Openings
It is a sad time in America when greed is more important that family. I enjoy the thrill and fun associated with Black Friday sales; however society has gone too far this time. Opening on Thanksgiving day is unforgivable. What's next Sears & K-Mart? Will you be open on Christmas Day as well? Employees need to have time off with families - at least on these two very important days. Shame on corporate! You've just lost a family of customers - we may just be one family but collectively we number in the hundreds. Can you afford to lose "families"? You may want to rethink this decision.

Sears discriminates against people that were in the military and bikers. They don't like dealing with them and if they do, they try and take them to the cheapest appliances, we were looking for a 5 or 6 burner stove, and pretty much said we couldn't afford them...hhhmmm you can not judge people of what they can afford by the way they look... i WANTED TO LEAVE A ZERO RATING but I guess its making me do at least 1
I Regret Ever Doing Business with this Company
I have never regretted the purchase of an appliance as I do with the Kenmore Elite washing machine that I bought in 2011. This machine flooded my home and the customer service I am getting from Sears/Kenmore is bad beyond belief. I would never do business with you again.
Customer Service...BEYOND HORRIBLE!
I had an appointment sheduled for 10.20.13 from 10. until two. The technician lied and said he was at my home at 1:59pm....I was on the phone with customer service at that time! The technician was to return to my home as I was advised would happen at 3:05pm; he should be at your door now!! Guess what...he has not gotten here....72 hours later!! I contacted corporate office after speaking with the escalation team at 5:20am on 11.25, he was calling me back by 9am, corporate office sounded good but after not having gotten a return call, I have now been informed that she forwarded my request to another division. I will never ever in my life use Sear for anything!!
Poor Warranty Service
Kenmore Elite dishwasher: Sears would only send the free parts under the warranty after I paid $75 for one of their technicians to come to my house to tell me the plastic piece that broke off really broke off.
Worst Customer Service Ever
I had a diswasher installed on 10/28 - came home was not centered, kick plate is already fallen off, insulation is sticking out - have called 8 times STILL CAN'T GET HELP!!!! Installers don't show up as promised and each time I call, there are no notes in the computer and we start all over again - If no response tonight, we are taking it our ourselves and back to the store

Years ago, you could always count on Kenmore appliances. NOT ANYMORE! We bought a refrigerator less than six months and it is already falling apart! AND, the Christmas commercial is insulting to both sexes! Very inappropriate for ANYONE, esp. children. How could you air this? You need to fire your marketing department,, I will NOT be shopping at Sears or Kmart!!

Sears employees are helpful but the younger employees seem too be hesitant in understanding how badly water heater replacements are needed in the home ASAP!!!!! But the mission was accomplished by a manager and resolved immediately, hopefully!!! Thank You Again For all The help Sears employees young and elderly.

Need to talk to ASAP over a very bad situation at Kmart in palatka fl 32177 manager name Eric Jarcin is discriminated against us on nov22 day release of xbox1 he skipped over my friend and gave ticket to next person in line we ended up with no xbox1after waiting8hours I believe now he skipped over my friend who was second in line for discrimination this can not be brushed under rug he should lose his job this can not be tolerated thankyou. poor San Antonio customer service for home impovement.
Absolutely horrible repair service. My new top of the line Kenmore Elite dishwasher under warranty and unable to get Sears repair service to repair or replace. They can't even tell us when a part will be available. It's already been over a week and no one seems to know when a part can be obtained. Thanksgiving is approaching, much cooking and guests will be here. We need our dishwasher really bad. I will never again buy an appliance from Sears.
I have been without hot water since Oct 30. The valve on my water heater (that I bought less than a year ago) has been replaced 3 times and still does not work (a Honeywell Smart valve). My experience with the customer service has been horrendous. No one has the knowledge, power or authority to make any fruitful decisions to rectify the situation including the manager at the San Luis Obispo CA store. I have in the past bought many Kenmore products without any problems but it seems the company now has really made some bad decisions in products and customer service. Sears has now lost a customer and am advising others of my experience.
