On June 27th I had a reservation from 27June until 2July staying at the Ramada Convention Center in Hays Kansas in a King Room (5 Nights total). I booked this reservation and paid for it online via Kayak.com. I checked into the room around 330-400am on 28 June. Upon arriving at the hotel no one was at the Front Desk they did not have a sign nor a bell to ring for a Front Desk Clerk, I called out Hello and had a reply of I'll be out in a minute. When the gentleman came out from the offices with no name tag he asked for my name and looked up my reservation. He said he would be right back because their system isn't correct and he wanted to make sure the room he gave me was clean. He came back to the desk and had to check another room, when he returned from his second trip he issued me one key with no key jacket. I asked him if he needed me to sign anything he said no since I paid online I didn't have to do anything. He indicated on the map how to get to my room and I picked up my luggage and proceeded to my room. As I arrived at my door room number 115 I tried the key 5 times I kept getting a green light but the door would not open. Frustrated I returned to the front desk. There was a women at the desk asking for other hotels, the gentleman pulled out his cellphone used voice search for hotels and handed his phone to the woman. He looked at me and said oh your room is not a king it's a double, (I hadn't even been in the room yet) I said really why not he didn't have an answer and after 24hours of traveling I just wanted to get in the room. I told him no I haven't even been in the room that there was something wrong with the door he said "oh well you have to put your shoulder into it to open it". When I used my shoulder pretty much banging against the door it did open and I was finally in the room. As I placed my things down and started getting ready to just collapse on the bed I noticed an odd smell in the room and decided to turn on the ac. As I was inspecting the TV I noticed some left over food next to it, when I was looking for a place to plug in my iPhone I noticed some food left on the floor as well. As if housekeeping had not really finished cleaning the room or just did a poor job. I also found a bug on one of the pillows. As I used the restroom for the first time I noticed mold in the tub and up the wall at the ceiling, I took photos. Tired after traveling for so long I decided to get a couple hours of sleep and talk to Management in the morning. I slept on top of the covers on top of my sweatshirt on this bed because I was NOT comfortable sleeping under it. The next morning I woke up with a medical issue and had to go to the Emergency Room, while waiting for my ride to take me I approached the front desk and informed them about my rooms condition and the fact that I was given a Double not a King room. The lady at the Front Desk 1030ish on July 28th (again no name tag) said she could move me to room 134 that it was a clean but not ready yet. I said that was fine because I was going to the Emergency Room.
While in the Emergency Room I talked with my husband and sent him the pictures of the condition of the room he in turn called the Ramada Convention Center in Hays and spoke to Jeeroy (though my husband thought he said Loui) who had stated he was a Manager. Mr.Jeeroy told my husband that he would upgrade me to a Suite and that my reservation stated I was ONLY staying 2 nights. I returned to the hotel between 1pm and 2pm. I approached the Front Desk and informed the Gentleman that I would like to speak with Louie (this is what my Husband thought the Gentleman Jeeroy said his name was) I explained to him that my Husband had talked to Louie the Manager about my situation. He informed that his name was Greg and he was the Manager and he had no clue of what I was talking about. I asked if there were any other Managers he said no just me. I proceeded to tell him the problem with the room cleanliness the incorrect room type and the fact that they have my reservation incorrect. After answering the Front Desk phone as well as his personal phone several times, I noticed a Gentleman wearing a green shirt that matched the description of whom my husband had talked to. I asked Greg what his name was and he told me, I informed Greg that my Husband had talked to this man and already worked something out but that my reservation still needed to be fixed. Greg did not Consult with this Gentleman at any point just asked me about who checked me in looked at my Folio said yes it does say you booked a king room and yes it says you are suppose to be here for 5 days. I have had a complaint earlier about Javier (the gentleman that checked me in) so I'm going to have to talk to him about this because for some reason he put you staying for 2 days. I informed him about me not signing anything or he confirming anything he stated that is their policy with internet reservations. He said he could get me into a King Room, I reluctantly agreed. I went to the room and it seemed clean enough, no food visible. Later that day I picked up my Medication from Wal-mart that was prescribed at my Emergency Room Visit. June 29th I left my hotel room around 10am, the only issue I noticed with the room is staining on the curtains (looks like blood or bloody snot maybe even possibly ketchup) and the fact that the tub did not drain completely from the shower which leaves standing water. I took my medication and left it out on the desk in my room. I arrived back to the hotel room around 2pm and changed to attend my Best Friends Wedding, when I left my room the Housekeeping was one room away. After the wedding I returned to the room around 9pm and went to take my medication, I could not find one bottle of medication. I called my Mother at 913pm to express my concern shortly after my phone conversation I left my room to ask my friend who had just been Married to help me search in case I missed something, we could not find it ANYWHERE. My friend her husband and myself went to the Front Desk where we were instructed to the Manager Greg's office. He asked what was taken what type of Medication it was I informed him it was an antibiotic he said "usually they take pain killers not antibiotics", he said he would look at the key log and talk to the housekeeper who worked my room that day. I informed him that my room had not even been cleaned that day. He said he had to call the Police and would I file a Police Report I said I would. I asked him if I needed to wait in his office or in the lobby he said I could wait in my room he didn't know how long it would take for the Police to arrive. I returned to my room and searched again hoping to find the medication to no avail. Greg called me to say that the Police said someone would be dispatched and that he would come to the room to check the key log. As I waited for Greg and the Police, Greg never arrived. The Police arrived took the information and issued me a case number. Patrol Officer Brandon Weigel Badge #526 Case#12-10653, the officer advised me to call the Pharmacy and the ER/Dr that I saw about the prescription. Wal-Mart Pharmacy was closed, I called the ER and they said I would have to visit the ER again and be charged AGAIN for an ER visit and maybe the Doctor would issue the prescription again. June 30th I wake up and go to the Continental Breakfast and walk back to my room Housekeeping was 2 rooms away at this time. I call Kayak.Com about the issues and talk to a representative about the situation she acts as a mediator and says that the Manager is not in but the Front Desk Clerk says if I check out today they will compensate me by refunding me the money for the 2 nights I do not stay. I told the Rep at Kayak that that is not acceptable compensation for everything that has happened she advised to call back later when there would be a Manager there. I called Wal-Mart Pharmacy and they can not re-issue the prescription and advise me to also go back to the ER. I packed all my things up and took them with me for the day leaving nothing personal in my room. I leave the room around 11am no housekeeping has come to my room and they are cleaning the rooms next door and 2 doors down. I return to the Hotel around 6pm, my room has not received ANY housekeeping (this is 2 days in a row that I have not received any clean towels/linens etc) I ask to speak with a Manager and he is not on the property. At 7pm I call the Patrol officer to ask him about the conversation with the Manger from the night before as he spoke with the Manager after he left me he was going to speak with the Manager. Patrol Officer Weigel informed me that he would be back by the Hotel but was currently at the Hospital to hear from Mr. Greg. As Greg had stated he would check the key log to the Patrol Officer as well as talk to the Housekeeping Staff who was suppose to service my room that day. I called Kayak.com and talked to Rei at 841pm I wanted to get the information about the woman who helped me earlier. There were no notations in my record about this situation. So Rei was unable to tell me who I had spoken with. I had to re-explain everything to Rei who in turn made notes about the issues I have had with the Hotel and since a Manager is not on the Hotel premises as the clerk told me would need to be available to ask for the compensation I am looking for I advised Rei that there was nothing she could do at the moment. She noted I wanted to be comped a minimum of 1/2 of the total that I paid Kayak.com as well as the medication, and that I call back during business hours when the Manager is on the premises. I am appalled that through all these issues from the room cleanliness to the medication missing to filing a police report to no housekeeping service that not once has Management said they were sorry offered no apology, accepted no responsibility. Obviously their policy of not verifying information even if a reservation is booked via a third party at check in needs to be revised. They have no house rules agreement that needs to be signed and Front Desk Staff should be re-trained and friendlier as well as their system upgraded if they do not know when a room is clean or not and have to check it before someone checks into the room.
Every Ramada should be shut down by board of health! Denver's Ramada on Zuni looks like it is squatters paradise, junkies, whores, open drug dealing. STAY AWAY FROM ANY RAMADA BUT ESPECIALLY DENVER!!!
Suffice to say that in Multan Pakistan I was/am not expecting a 5 star hotel. I would like however to be able to get an espresso or a ground coffee bean coffee.... Not NesCaffe. It's not just here, but all over Pakistan. I guess I need to go back to Islamabad for real bean coffee. Sorry folks that nescafé garbage is for folks who add milk and sugar.
We stayed at the Ramada Inn, in Chocago, Ohare. We were told they offered a 24 hour shuttle to and from airport. When we called the hotel for pick-up from ohare at 1:00 am. we were told to wait at door 2 of shuttle pickup. 45 minutes later I called to ask if there was a problem with the shuttle and was told that none were available and the company they share with also had none available. I asked about a taxi and was told they couldn't help with that information. We found a taxi. The next day we left at 9:00 am and returned a 8:00 pm. Our room had not been touched, garbage had not been removed, nothing. While checking out at 4:00 am. I listend to the desk clerk argue with a gentleman who was looking for shuttle to the airport., because they did not have one available. After returning home, I contacted hotwire to tell them of the trouble. They called the hotel and were told that they offered shuttle service and that we had a "Do not disturb sign", on our door. Since both of these statements were blatantly wrong, I asked for the number that hotwire had for the hotel, (to make sure it matched the one I had, and the supervisors name that they spoke with. I then called myself and talked with Gina, whom hung up on me. When I called back, I was put on hold as soon as I stated my name. When she did come back on line I asked for the number of their headquarters and was given a number that belonged to a Phone Management Company. Needless to say I will never, nor will anyone I know ever, book another stay at a Ramada!
My mother, grandson, and I stayed in the Ramada Inn 1601 N. Universal Ave. Kansas City, Missouri. When we arrived it looked like an abandoned property. Weeds growing right next to the building. The lawns were not mowed. The exterior of the building was stucco siding and was falling off of one side of the building. One of the front windows were broke out and was boarded up. There were walking trails that went around the building and beside the little lake but of course, the weeds were so tall you couldn't walk back there. I booked this motel room with Expedia.com and according to their rules you aren't allowed to know the name of the motel until you pay for the booking and then afterwards you aren't allowed refunds, exchanges, or transferes. The room that I paid for was not a deal. The beds were full sized beds and hard. There were 2 chairs in the room that were dirty and stained up. I was very disappointed to say the least. You could tell that at one time this used to be a wonderful motel. The front desk people were asked how long this paticular motel was owned by the new owners and we were told one year. With this amount of time it should have had a lot more repairs done or should not have been opened yet. And by the way, the picture posted on their website is deceptive. It shows the way the motel used to look some years ago. They should use the money they paid for advertisement for upgrades and repairs in the motel. Shame on Ramada Inn........
I would not give "rama inn/ lamplighter rv" on 6th st in washougal,wa any kind of rating!!!!! It has to be THE WORST exprience we have EVER had!!! we paid for a two night stay, and during our stay we had an unfortunate death in the family as we checked out at 9:00 AM we had asked the STAND IN CLERK to have the mgr to reimburse us for the 1 day. after more than a week we were NOT compensated... I called the mgr and was asked to call back in 1/2 hour, did so and got some one else who asked me to call back in an hour I called back and told the person to call me back, wich he NEVER DID!!!!!! one hell of a way to ruin(run) a business we will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!!!!! ON TOP OF ALL THIS CRAP the shower had pubic hair in it,toilet rack was broken/missing,towel rack missing, all and all fealthy we were there OVER a year ago and thought they might have fixed it (WRONG)DO NOT STAY THERE!!!
We stayed at Ramada Vallejo on May the 11 and 12 for Womens Conference. The room Ramada gave us hade mud in the bathtub and was very sticky. I called the front desk they say they were going to fix the problem but we where in a rush so we left. When we came back at 12, the tub was still the same and there was roches also. We didn't stayed there for the night. We sleep at the other room witch was a little beter then ours. We havent got our money back yet but we did pay full amount for a dirty room wich we didnt sleep on.
We stayed At Ramada Inn in Clinton, Oklahoma. We thought Ramada Inn's were a nice place to stay. How wrong we were. The Clinton, Ok. Ramada Inn room was dirty, the lock on the door was broken, the towels looked like they had not been washed. The two clerks at the desk talked in their native India language and not accommodating. The two could speak English but chose to ignore the courtesy of speaking in English. We will never again stay at a Ramada Inn. Shame on headquarters of Romada Inns for allowing this to happen. Do you ever inspect your facilities???
One star is to good of a rating for this hotel it should be a -10 stars After reading these ratings, evidently Ramada does not care about its reputation to let any run down hotel use its name, I also stayed at a bug infested, nasty, trashy and run down Ramada Inn in Elk City Oklahoma and I will never ever stay another one again
I just recently stayed at the Ramada Inn, Moline Illinois for a baseball tournament, I pulled up to the hotel in which you could tell it was run down, I booked a double queen room to only get a double full, the carpets were damp with a mildew smell in most of the hallways, the room keys didn't work I constantly had to go to guest services just to get a key to open the room, the bathroom lock was broken I could literally stick my entire finger in the lock of the door, the closet doors didn't hang right, the dresser was missing knobs, the floor wasn't even vacuumed there was woman's hair pins and confetti located all over the floor, and to top things off another woman's shoe was found under the bed. there was a continental breakfast i went down at 8:30 there was NO food the breakfast was until 10am, I went to the service desk to let her know it took them 55 minutes to bring in more food, to top it off we were hanging by the pool when an employee was roaming around making sure things were in order, she had explained that the musty smell was due to the fact that when it rains the entire ceiling leaks... a HORRIBLE experience!!! if I could give this hotel a -10 thats what i would rate it
Stayed at the Ramada in Columbus Ohio, for one evening prior to a Volleyball Game. We checked in and then discovered that the hotel was undergoing some remodeling. Not a big deal, it was mainly the hallways. It wasn't pretty, but I can accept that. Went out and returned in the evening. Then discover that the toilet wont flush. Since it was late we decided to live with that too. Put the kids snacks in the frig and went to bed. At 3:00 in the am, we were awaken to screaming, called the front desk. Evening manager came and walked the hall said he wasn't sure where it was coming from. At this time we discoved that the Confrence conference room, which was right across from my room was full of people. When I spoke to the manager, finally two full days later, he said NO, that room was locked and closed at 11:00. Well, that was not so!!! He can ask the evening manager who stood there and watched people coming in and out. That was what had kept us up was the slamming of the door as people went in and out of that room. The purpose of the hotel stay was to get a good night sleep instead of driving during the early am. Well, instead we were kept awake by the noise. In the am we then found that the refrigerator was not working. So the milk that we had purchased was totally spoiled. Told all this to the front desk and they took $20.00 off the bill. to . I told her that was not exceptable but she was not authorized to do anything more. Wait all day Sunday and Monday for a call. Manager called Tuesday and said there was nothing more they can do. I guess it's not important to satisfy their customers at this hotel. Also could not eat the breakfast in the am, the area was so dirty!! DONT STAY THERE!!! Terrible Service and terrible management.
We chose to stay at a Ramada Inn because of their reputation and our past good experiences with them. On March 18 we stayed at a Ramada Inn in Florence, SC and during the night our van was entered by breaking the side window. Items of personal value were stolen. The assistant manager gave my husband a broom and dustpan to clean up the broken glass (really kind, don't you think?) I was asked to fill out an incident report, why? Nothing ever came of it. Later we found out another vehicle had been entered, at a nearby motel, and a laptop stolen. While I'm glad the thieves didn't get any personal information from us, I wonder what Ramada and the local police are doing to prevent this type of thing from happening over and over. (That person got a full refund of his charge for the night, a pitiful compensation, in my opinion!) To date, I haven't received ANY communication from the management of the motel we stayed at. Ramada Inn Corporate told me if the management doesn't respond in a satisfactory way by March 30th, they would take over, now they're balking at that. While I understand the motels are locally owned and the individual owners have control over the day-to-day operations, Ramada is allowing them the use of their name and they should be interested in protecting their reputation. The Sheriff's department said it's a bad area, happens all the time in that area. They say they don't even patrol there unless they have two officers in the squad car. I keep hearing what a "valued customer" I am but I sure don't feel like it!
I am sure that these comments/complaints are not read...but I need to rant some more until I am HEARD! My complaint is with the Akron City Center Ramada Plaza Hotel in Akron, OH. The hotel was recently franchised with Ramada from a private owner and was previously franchised by the Radison. My husband and I have been going to this hotel every year for Valentine's Day for almost 17 years. We usually do the package where dinner is included with wine and jacuzzi room, w/ breakfast usually included but for some reason it was not this year....but was still the same price. We usually stay 2 nights. When checking in the lady was extremely rude! Once we got into our room...the room was disgustingly filthy and the jacuzzi needed to be scrubbed out before we could even use it. We were never called during the week to set up dinner reservations and after arriving they took 2 hours to set up a time...we came into the restaurant at the exact resv time with NO ONE to be found! It took them 2 hours to get us our dinner! Then we were told by the barmaid that they were not serving breakfast in the morning and we could do room service....after calling the front desk, room service, and the restaurant for over an hour with no response...the roads were HORRIBLE and we didn't want to have to go out to get food....we ended up doing so. The next morning we went to get breakfast down in the restaurant and there was only one server it took 3 hours for breakfast! When we checked out the lady was such a bitch and was snotty with me when I asked for a receipt!!! I have never been treated so poorly in my life at that hotel...I am VERY disappointed with the staff and service there. I will NOT ever stay there again!
WE BOOKED AT YOUR ESTABLISHMENT IN FT. LAUDERDALE IN ADVANCE OF A CRUISE, WHEN CHECKING IN AFTER 1230 PM THE FIRST STAY, OUR ROOM WASNT READY. WHEN ASKING WHY, ALL WE GOT WERE EXCUSES..WHEN WE RETURNED TO THE SAME PLACE AFTER THE CRUISE, A GROUP OF 11 PEOPLE WERE MADE TO WAIT UNTIL AFTER 200PM AGAIN. WHEN WE ASKED FOR OUR ROOMS I WAS TOLD THAT "HOUSE KEEPING NOT DONE" WE WERE NOT EVEN OFFERED ANYTHING AS COMPENSATION. THE SO CALLED CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST WAS TERRIBLE! IF IT COLD EVEN BE CALLED BREAKFAST. THE ONLY THINGS OFFER AS THE "CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST" WAS GRITS, COLD COFFEE AND 2 DIFFERENT KINDS OF BREAD. IF WE WANTED A BETTER BREAKFAST WE HAD TO PAY $5.00 MORE PER PERSON. THE SHUTTLE THAT WAS OFFERED WAS ALMOST A DEATH RIDE,AS THE DRIVER DIDNT CARE THAT WE WERE ALL SCARED. IT WAS THE WORST HOTEL/MOTEL STAY THAT WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. WE BOOKED THROUGH HOTELS.COM AND COULDNT EVEN GET A COPY FOR A RECEIPT FOR OUR STAY. I WILL NEVER USE A RAMADA IN EVER AGAIN, WILL NEVER RECOMMED THAT ANY FAMILY OR FRIENDS THAT ARE TRAVELING TO USE YOUR CHAIN OF INNS. WE ALL DECIDED THAT UPON OUR RETURN VISIT FROM OUR CRUISE WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SERVICED FIRST OR TOLD WEN OUR ROOMS WERE DONE, AS WE WERE ALL EXHUSTED FROM OUR CRUISE.
Stayed at the Ramada Inn, Eau Claire, WI on a very cold night. First room, no drain plug in tub and was told by front desk, the matenance guy was gone for the day. Second room, no heat, third room was "OK" but someone could have taken a few moments to fix the draperies. First thing you see when you go in, hotel lobby was beautiful but the rooms are in dire need of "attention". Wasn't offered any compensation so will NEVER stay at a Ramada again. And am spreading the word to friends and family too. Have stayed at hotels many, many times and have never had to move to another room. Room was $82/night. Definitly not worth it.
ramada sarasota jan 2011. switched rooms three times after check in. requested adjacent rooms on reservation, given rooms in opposite buildings. switched next to loud guest, moved to a room that was not satisfactory and placed in room without fridge, stove top, or microwave which one of the two had. during moves or during the day a backpack with a camera, and passport was stolen. poor service behind the desk for such an inconvenient stay, will never stay at a ramada again. complained to corporate office and given a case # while my family talked to the police.
STAYED AT A RAMADA HISTORICD IN SAINT AUGUSTINE FLORIDA. THE BED FELL IN AND IT WAS FULL OF ROACHES. WE WERE GOING TO STAY 2 NIGHTS HOWEVER DUE TO THE BUGS AND BED WE LEFT EARLY. WHEN WE COMPLAINED TO THE FRONT DESK THE GIRL TOLD US THAT THE NEW OWNER WOULDNT PUT ANY MONEY INTO THE MOTEL AND SHE KNEW OUR FEELING ABOUT THE ROOM. I SHOULD HAVE DEMANDED MY MONEY BACK BUT WAS SO MAD I JUST WANTED TO GET OUT OF THE BUG INFESTED HOLE.
My husband and I made a reservation for our daughters to go to the Ramada Pigeon Forge to enjoy their birthday and New Years Eve. When my daughters got to the Ramada where the reservation was made, they were told there was not reservation for them although the charge for the room is on our credit card already. The woman at the front desk was very rude and unhelpful when we called to find out why the reservation was not showing and our daughters were 6 hours from home with no place to stay. The front desk woman put Jim (he would not give his last name but said he was the manager) on and not only was he disrespectful but he was not going to help us with the reservation and frankly he did not care if there was a problem or not. I can honestly say that no one in this family will ever frequent this motel or chain again. I have never experienced such poor customer service or disrespect.
I arrived at your Ramada Inn in Houston, Texas near the Bush Continental Airport on JSK drive on the 10th of June around 10:00pm. There were absolutely no parking places in the parking lot. People had even parked on the grass and there was no parking left there. There was the space left next to a disabled parking spot. It had a lot of space for the people in the actual spot to get in and out of even after I parked there. My friend went in to ask the desk people if it would be okay to park there since there were no other spaces; or where we were supposed to park? The lady and man at the desk said to park right there it would be okay. Well the next morning I had a $500 parking ticket. The manager assured me several times he was getting the hotel's lawyer to contact the police and get the charges dropped. I wouldn't have parked there if I hadn't been told I could. My 30 days to pay the ticket is up on Monday, July 9. I called the police and was told no one had contacted them, and the manager is not returning my call today; so I guess I am getting the run around. First the fact that there is not enough parking for paying customers is awful. They allow people to leave their cars there if they stay before they have a flight out, which would be fine if they had anough room. Secondly they should accept responsiblity for their mistakes--telling me to park knowing I might get a ticket. And biggest they shouldn't lie to their customers. Will I ever stay here again? No Will I tell people to go there? No
