Never again

I went to the pollo in west Melbourne and every time I have gone there are managers and employes right out side smoking. I along with my family are allergic to smoke and iv gone to management to complain but nothing has been done. This is unbelievably rude to those who decide to eat there. Any time I have see an employe step out side they smoke. I will never go to any polo ever again. Horrible service, horrible management, food wasn't worth leaving the house for.

Youve got to love eating plastic

I normally LOVE eating here, food is excellent. But today I went and the employes were too musy laughing anf playing around to realize what they were doing. I get back to work and started to eat food and to my surprise, I start to eat PLASTIC. I went to the one on Hillsborough by Habana. I wouldnt be so upset if they would actually answer their phone. I wil NEVER eat here again.

Quantity and pricing

I love pollo tropical, and I eat every day at the restaurant located in pinecrest, but lately they have been racing the prices up, and the amount of food gets smaller and smaller, today I was there and WAS AMAZED because I paid almost $7.00 for the boneless chicken meal, and they measured the rice with an ice cream scoop.... I do not think I am going to continue visiting this restaurant anymore.

Worst Service Ever

Store 10013 Maritza and Irvin are some of the most disrespectful and rude customer service service industry employees I have ever had to deal with corporate should really step up their over sight on their stores

A job fair was advertised in the job news and there is over twenty people waiting here since 9:30 AM . No one has come out to talk to us or even let us know anything. I think this is so unprofessional and rude. We are all just sitting here and waiting. And the person working here have us a false disconnected number to the main office.

We were disappointed again! We gave the Pollo Tropical in Mayaguez Western Plaza PR several chances because we initially had a good experience and the prices were good. Unfortunately the last five times were horrible. The bathrooms are DISGUSTING the dining area is dirty and messy the employees are lazy and rude. The food was dry today and the last straw was watching an employee play with her hair then go back to working with the food. Yuck! Never again!

You might want to check your store not only because of your poor customer service/ uneatable burned food but also just in case a health inspector shows up and shuts it down for good!!!!

Store # 10016- 2390 S. University Drive Davie, FL Cashier/ server had her long hair in 2 pig tails brought to the front of her body. While she was serving her hair was brushing on the plates and in food. When I told her about it she insisted that she was careful about her hair. My friend who was with me also complained about her hair in the food. I also spoke to the manager about the hair. While I was talking to the manager the server interrupted and said she would tie her hair back. The whole time that my friend and I was at restaurant her hair remained down and in front of her.

Hi, i've been working for pollo for about 2 years now and i'm a cashier and I came to realize that corporate dosen't give a shit about there employes or there costumers. They took away our dental plan, changed the recipes, and on top of that slave drivers. I usually do drive-thru and all my costumers simply adore me. Mainly because 50% of the time IM TAKING ORDERS, CASHING AND SOMETIMES EVEN HAVE TO MAKE THERE FOOD WHILE TRYING TO MAINTAIN A PASSING DRIVE THRU TIME. I'm payed the same wage as most the employes yet im doing 3 jobs? Oh and that also includes geting ice and frying. I just dont understand how they could let things like this happen. I'd like to quite however I believe I shouldn't give a 2 week notice and it shouldn't effect me what so ever do to horrible working conditions. I work for my money but im not a slave. Please look into this problem thank you.

PATRICIA ONTANEDA...WASNT TOO UNDERSTANDIN'.I PURCHASED A ,#TROPICHOP & IS WAS MORE LIKE ,#TROPIFREGAO.I WANTED MY $ BACK BUT SHE GAVE AGAIN ANOTHER ,#TROPIFREGAO.I GOT A PIC OF THAT BURNT STICKY RICE(YELLOW) HIDDEN UNDER THE VEGGIES,CHICKEN & BLACK BEANS.THE KITCHEN STAFF LOOK LIKE A WHOLE BUNCH OF 14 YRS. OLD WHO DIDNT CARE.THIS XPERIENCE MESSED UP MY 30 MINS. I did a survey last year and was told it was still available. When I went online to do so, it asked me for the ID #, I noticed that lately, the ID section is not on the receipt, it is cut right above. Is this so no one can survey this particular restaurant? I was looking forward to my free meal. Whats going on?

Location in plantation south fla on state rd 7. Dirty, slowwww, not nice crew. I went Tuesday August 21st 2012 around 330pm . It was busy a drive thru customer came in upset for having to wait over 10 mins for her food. Not taken care of. There is no pride in work ethics.

The Pollo tropical 27 ave 188st miami gardens is horrible they are rewarming the shredded pork from the day before, this is a health risk. They will see the health department soon!

First I must say that we eat quite often as our out choice but this is the third time that we ordered sweet plantains and they are so dark close to burnt. Why is that? Do you add sugar before frying? I observed the following incident in one of your stores: Store # 12 located at:__ft laudale around 1 p.m. on 8/6/2012 when the pop to cook your beans spill and all that dirty food was picked up in buckets to sell and serve your customers. It was disgusting to me to observe how that food that was dirty was being serve to these poor people that didn’t know what just happened in that kitchen. This happens …about noon time , instead of preparing a new beans, the management decided to pick up the stepped on and dirty beans from that I’m an anonymous witness: floor and serve it your customers……don’t care ….any …I am one of the workers …..so sad to see that

Typically one focuses on quality of food when considering an eatery; but with PT it is the consistent poor Customer Service that is their demise. My guess is that each transaction is timed, and Corporate looks at the "time in" and "time out" as their benchmark for success. Sadly that is their downfall. Yes they are fast but at the expense of accuracy and quality of interaction. Corporate doesn't understand that, it appears. I often complete the on-line survey at www.rateus.pollotropical.com however have recently discovered site managers are not changing the ribbon on their terminals so the customer cannot see the ID code on the receipt which is required to complete the online survey. Site managers know they have a problem with Customer Service and the way they can keep it from Corporate is by thwarting customers' attempts at completing the online survey. I have mentioned this 4x to the manager in Miramar and each time the response is disinterest. Customers need to show their displeasure with their wallet and stop going to PT; when Corporate sees their sales declining they may acknowledge the problem. Until then their heads are buried in the playa.
