I have a manager who adjusts her timesheets. she add hours on days she's not there. what would you guys do? I don't want to cause drama or have tension in the store if she knew who told on her.
Wow, some people just love drama. Anyway, I've been going to Payless ShoeSource since the early 70's. Not so much lately, but when I went to the Payless Store in Auburn Wa. yesterday, I had a VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. The sales associate greeted me as soon as I walked in the door, even though she had customers at her register. From hearing the conversation, it seemed that the customers had been in there before & seemed quite happy with Cassandra (sales associate). As a matter of fact they said they'd be back & it seemed that they knew Cassandra very well. After they left, Cassandra approached me & asked me if I needed help. I told her I needed some nice pumps with low heels. She proceeded to show me quite a few shoes with low heels & even showed me some heels with memory foam for comfort. After she gave me several options to choose from she gave me some little foot hose to put on my feet so I could try on the shoes. She then went back to her other duties & did not hover over me. I ended up buying 2 pair of shoes instead of one. She was very nice & I really appreciated her help. Even if someone has a bad experience once or twice doesn't mean the whole company is bad. Sometimes people have bad days. I'm not going to stop going to Payless ShoeSource just because I have a bad experience once or twice, AND I'm not going to call someone a PEE-ON or any other demeaning name. I think there are too many people who are so insecure with themselves that they feel they have to put other people down in order to feel good about themselves. There are way too many NEGATIVE people in the world today. People thrive on the negatives because it's easier to complain & moan about the SMALL STUFF instead of looking at the good things in life. There are more important things in life to worry about. JUST SAYIN! MAY GOD BLESS, & Merry Christmas! From a Very Satisfied customer. JJ
What state do you work in miss know it all? ohhhh wow get to meet with the district manager. so what ... you have a degree, It's not my fault you are stuck in a robot job doing smiles day after day asking the customers the same questions...What are you looking for? oh by the way we have these super cute shoes let me show you. on and on the stupid lines don't stop. what a load of crap. Working at payless is horrible cramming shoes down customers throats, pushing product when they don't want it. hounding them for personal info .. They say they don't sell . right. numbers don't forget the numbers for heaven sake you don't get gold silver or bronze. you might end up being a customer and not a sales associate. Payless is nothing but a greedy company.
What D. Davis said was childish, and most likely said out of frustration. However, that doesn't mean it's right for you to talk down to those of us who work at Payless. I work at Payless, have an associates degree and am working towards my bachelors. To do this, I need a job and there are few places that pay more than Payless that will hire students with little time and a family to look after, too. Also, Payless is a fun job. I get to meet with the district manager often and this sort of networking is going to benefit me greatly when applying for jobs other places. Payless is a good company to work for, despite those customers who refuse to be mature about judging the sales associates.
She pees on customers cars, And as soon as you leave the store she calls you all B____es. She evens wipes her nose on the shoes. D. is the best around. If you all can't pick up after your selfs get the hell out of payless we don't need you fools shopping. go shop at the goodwill, that's were you all belong. you payless shoppers are pigs.
I wonder if any district managers read this or any vp's for the company? We have employees mouthing off how she can't stand customers and manages encouraging the employee to act like a complete idiot. In my opinion the intelligence level is below a pile of crap. I think D.Davis should go to a doctor for her hallucinations and dreams. I can't believe that person wants to go to the bathroom on a customers car. Wonder what she does in the store? I think D. Davis might be in the challenaged area mentally.
If you can type out a statement online how you feel about customers that come into the store you work at, I feel sorry for them you seem like a mouthy employee. What state do you work in? I don't need to shop at the store you work at I would fear for my child's safety. If you can blow up over little things you have no business working with the public. Who said life was fair? Andto want to do things to customers cars? why? all I can say is wow and I won't be shopping payless shoes knowing you could be there. I think payless would be poud of your attitude knowing how you feel about the customers they would love to sell shoes to. NOT! shame on you. You seem to have no morals or vaules. You need a life lesson on being a human with respect. Do take time to reply what state you work in. I'm sure you are ashamed to tell us.
we where not trained at the door by you in how to put the shoes back right. take time out of your world and stop by earth for a visit and show us how to be perfect customers so you dont blow a gasket or fuze. not shopping payless with twits like you!
go relieve yourself on your own car and tell your manager she is a complete idiot too, we customers laugh at you, working a pea ons job! with hardley any pay you deserve everything you get! ha ha
Wish I could give no stars, I am not one of those customers .. After that comment I WONT EVER GO BACK TO A PAYLESS. I WAS COMING ON HERE TO SAY SOMETHING NICE. ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW NO MORE PAYLESS.
Why would payless sell shoes with mold on them? I went back with the boots I found mold under the buckle. Shame on you payless
Boo hoo to all of you whiny dime a dozen self absorbed customers who have no idea whatsoever about retail. Lesson one, people that work in stores are every bit as human as you are. If we seem rude its because you are most likely trying to mess with our policies which in turn messes with our job security. If you havent dealt with the generic jerks that make up the general public you have no basis for complaint. Lesson two, if were out of something theres no personal conspiracy and we dont even care enough about you as a stranger to bother to make a conspiracy even if we wanted to. If its not physically in the store the answer is simple. Someone who is not you bought it before you, the end, get over yourself. And payless is not australia, there is no out back. All of our extra stock is right in front of your faces on the top shelf, you should be able to see it from your high horse. Lesson 3, I dont go to your work place and throw everything on the floor or put it back six inches from where it was upside down and backwards, but if you give me the address i would be happy to oblige you. This goes for your unwatched, loud, annoying, undisciplined, rude, amusingly ignored children as well. We deal with more rudeness on an hourly basis than you see in a week unless you take peoples sh*t for a living, perhaps in the septic industry. Lesson 4, if we cant give you what you want for any reason its not because youre a specific race, age, sexual preference, yada yada. Unless you have some obviously over the top redneck who flat out calls you a slur, or a african individual who calls you whitey among others, ett, etc. Back off, that was a long time ago and i didnt own your family. Lesson 5, if youre going to shoplift, at least be good at it. And when you get caught dont embarass yourself further by denying it especially in front of a camera. And no were not going to override a price when we know you changed the tag yourself, its easy to confirm. If you guys were to come to my store, with this brave internet bullsh*t attitude id probably relieve my bladder into your gas tank if it were dark enough outside. Lesson 6, evolve past the mental state of the typical customer and actually think about this instead of just reacting like every other automaton wasting our air the next time you go make a fool of yourselves in a public place. We dont care and we sit in the back with our managers laughing at your ignorance after you leave.
I have always had a great expierence with Payless. I have bought shoes for myself and my 2 children there. Today was a different story. My kids are both in need of snow boots so we went to Payless. As we walked in, we were not greeted and nobody asked us if we needed help but yet one of the employess was standing near the door and saw us come in. I needed my daughters foot measured so my daughter went to find someone to measure her foot. Nobody was around to help. We walked around the store trying to find a foot measure but could not find a kids one. We were trying on shoes for my daughter and finally an employee came out from the back and walked right by us. We we there for at least 15 minutes and still no one asked us if we needed help or if we needed anything. By the way, there was only one other family in the store. We decided to go back to Target where we were treated great and the prices were much better! Needless to say, we will never go back to this Payless location ever again! I will make sure that all my friends, family and neighbors will not be going to this location ever again!
I love getting help when I go there nice ladies at my store. great service ladies will be back. If I find my shoes hurt my feet they are willing to help me find a pair and I also find they know what I need for my shoes
The washing vancouver area store needs to be clean up bad store. bad girl
I work for payless and it's the BEST JOB ever, My manager has alot to do. I am proud to help her. I have fellow workers who don't like being here it's just money to them. I work ful time and love it. Thank you DM for role playing and helping me understand love you guys. The down side is all of you rude customers who think making messes is ok. and we don't set the prices corp does, don't yell at me I will smile and direct you to call corp. And please quit shoplifting. you make us mad. over all I love you payless.
I have worked at Payless for a while and before that I was a customer at Payless for years. I come online to read customer complaints to see what I can do to make my job easier and more enjoyable for myself and for customers. I have realized that some of these people are ridiculous and have likely never worked in a retail setting. Handing money back folded isn't the best way to give back change, but it's nothing that needs to be taken above the associate. If a manager, district manager, or corporate office is contacted, the associate will likely get written up. If the associate gets three write-ups in a year, they lose their job. If the associate gets written up for things such as not unfolding money, they won't have a job for very long. People make mistakes and just because someone works retail that does not mean that their purpose in life is to swindle you out of your money. Some other complaints I found unreasonable and their explanations: 1. Customers getting duplicate charges on their bank statements - I called corporate about this once. If more than one receipt prints, then it is fault of Payless. If this is not the case, it's an issue with the bank. There's nothing we as associates can do about it except be polite and offer to call corporate and let someone in the appropriate position to better explain it to you. 2. Customers requesting phone numbers and not being given them - we can't give out our personal phone numbers or our managers' personal phone numbers. You can call the store or you can call corporate and ask that a message reach whoever you are trying to contact. 3. Associates talking on the phone while ringing a customer up. - We often only have one person working at a time. if the phone rings, we have to answer it. We can politely put the other person on hold, but if we don't need to then we save time by not doing so. 4. Associates working while they are sick - this isn't really the fault of the manager. They can't cover our shifts because of break violation laws and payroll. Often when I'm sick I'm there to cover a lunch and then go home. 5. Not being able to use a coupon on a prior purchase. - This IS abusing the system. The employee that said this was actually being rather polite because you were actually abusing him by requesting that he let you use a coupon on a prior purchase. We are not allowed to do this and we could get written up for doing so. Be grateful. 6. Signs not being in English. - Actually not all Americans speak English. Corporate does hand down the signs and corporate designates what signs should go where based on demographics. Don't leave a mess for the associates. Simply ask about the promotion that the sign describes. Later, if it is still eating away at you, call corporate and tell them that you were dissatisfied. 7. Associates asking your children not to swear. - if done politely, this is perfectly okay. We need to think about other customers and their comfort, too. Sometimes people interpret how information is relayed to them if they disagree with the information itself... did the associate really yell? Or did they just say something you didn't want to hear? 8. Young people working instead of older people. - It's a minimum-wage retail job, what do you expect? I think Payless has a decent selection of quality shoes for good prices and I also think it's a good company to work for.
It's so stupid I know why idiots love payless they can wear the shoes and take them back to any store and if they look not worn back on the shelf. gross I want a clean pair of shoes to try on not shoes that have had hundreds of feet problems in them. and what up with the service young ladies (cough) acting like idiots. guess the manager wasn't there that day.
I can complain all I want when I walk into a payless and the two young ladies working in the store are talking about their drunk lifes and the guys who have been in their pants, I dont think I call this kind of behavior child friendly, I hope who ever comes to this site to complain will see this from my point of view as a parent. I don't think my childern need to hear all of this crap. and do you think they thought to cover up their breast before coming to a public place where they jump on you to measure your child's feet. I don't need some young women's breast bouncing out of a low cut top. I won't be going back to that payless in the portland area. I call it nasty. I called the store the following day to talk to the manager and her response was I will look into it.. I don't think she did a damn thing... This is not the payless I use to love. what I see is young people who don't care that you are there to shop ...There more into shoving stuff and shoes on you I don't need shoe care if I've told the sales person no. Also wanting all of my personal information PAYLESS DOES SELL THE INFO FOLKS. I was told they didnt but guess what they make money off selling all of your personal information you give them. and as far as the prices I can go to any high end store and pay the same for a pair of shoes, payless has gone over the top in trying to sell their cheap shoes for higher prices. Famous footwear and jc penny has great bargins if you look at the clearance. I am calling the corp office to report the sex talk that went on in the next aisle from ear shot of my childern, I did ask the young women to stop their talk I have childern who can hear you... all I got was giggles and them running into the back room.. I call this poor service. What happened to having older respectable people working? This store was in the portland area.
I would call human resources and report it. or tell the dm she isnt allowed to do that. she will be fired for that.
