Holiday shopping
I am writing in regards to my Holiday Shopping at the Eastern Shore center location in Spanish Fort, Alabama. As soon as my daughter and I walked into the store, we were not greeted at all by the Associates . Who just looked at us and immediately greeted the Non-African Americans that walked in the store. I had to ask for assistance and I had to asked if a register was available. to make a purchase while the two associates just stooded there unresponsive. I was offended then and I still am offended by the associates and the management to two none African American in the store. I will not take my daughter back to that location to witness that type of treatment ever again.
I visited the stone crest location in Lithonia Ga on Dec 20th. I purchased two items. Today I open my bag to put on a pair of pants and the sensor was left on them. I live in auburn Alabama where the closest New York and company is 45 minutes away. I also was with a friend that tried to use a coupon mailed to her from the company while we were there that was $25 off $75 purchase. She was buying new arrivals which were NOT on sale and the manager refused to honor even though the coupon didn't have exclusions. I am throughly disappointed in this company. In an economy like this to turn away business and then to have employees with such incompetence is appalling.
Great Store
I just want to comment on the great service I always receive at the Ridgedale Location in Minnetonka, MN. The girls are always helpful full of smiles and the manager is a real treat. I visited the MOA location and was not received the same way. Just a little something extra was missing. Thanks ladies for you great kindness!
Rude Store Associate
In regards to the Belden Village Mall Store, Canton OH: This store associate was beyond rude. I inquired as to whether I could use City Cash along with a coupon and she responds by saying, "we 're not GIVING merchandise away!" Then after being rude, she asks for a donation to St. Jude's. When I declined she makes the comment..."after all the money you saved you can't donate?" I hope NY& Co takes a good look at this example of poor customer service. Will not be shopping there again.
Amazing Worker
I recently went into the Ny and Co at the Blvd Mall in Amherst NY and the manager there, Carly, was AMAZING!!! She was so helpful and so nice. I will be going to that store a lot more because of her!
ny&co. is fair and competitive
I am shocked by most of these complaints, mainly BC I'm sure in most instances the mgr. Was following a legitimate policy. Sometimes there aren't ways around things on the register (like giving you a discount w/o a coupon).I don't work for nyco but as a mgr I can tell you that everyday I have a guest wanting me to do a favor "just this one" or accusing my co. Of theft. You shouldn't expect a full refund if you've held onto merchant. For over three mos.! I have never had a problem w/ nyco service, but I will say the quality of clothes has deteriorated. Bought 2 shirts last week one is missing a button and the other has hole, after one washing.
Annoyed
Please respect your customers and when they say no to your credit card after 6 times the answer remains the same. This can ruin your shopping experience this holiday season . Beware!!!!!!
I have a complaint regarding your Ridge Mall store in Chicago. This morning, 10/20, when I received the NY & Co. email, i tried to print the coupon, but for some reason it would not launch so I could print it. I tried five times to print this coupon but I could not. So, I went to the email I received on Friday and printed this coupon. Unfortunately, for me I did not notice that it expired yesterday. When I arrived at the store and picked out my items, went to the register and was told by the Manager that I could not use the expired coupon. I explained to her what happened with trying to print the coupon today, but she continue to tell me that I could not use it. I am a regular customer of NY & Co. and have been faithful to your store. I felt unappreciated and became very frustrated with Manager. I spoke with another employee of the store and I thought she was going to assist me with a positive response, but she did not. She gave me a script that let me know your Managers are not customer focus and do not provide quality customer service in this location. I asked a young lady in the store if she could pull up the coupon on her cell phone, because I do not have the capability, and she did, but they told her if she let me use the coupon then she could not use it twice. In the end, I let her purchase my item, because I could not get the items I originally wanted, because of the expired coupon, and I gave her the cash. I explained to the Manager that this was a one time situation because I have always been able to print the coupons and I did not know what happened this time. I stood there asking several times if they could just make this one exception, but they told me they could not. Because of this situation, I will never shop at this location again. I have been a faithful customer and deserved an one time exception.
Just want to say what everyone else seems to say, poor customer service in the Staten Island, Hylan Blvd store never shopping there again!!
I am a regular customer at your Store No. 490 and have a complaint to make against one of your department workers, Cashier No. 327024, who has been employed for a couple of months in that particular Corpus Christi location. On Sunday, I purchased about $75 worth of merchandise to be able to take advantage of the NY&Co. $30 off $75 or more coupon. During the transaction the sales clerk, Ms. Jacquelyn Sanford, was hostile to me in that she rolled her eyes, made facial expressions and raised her voice at me. In the past years, I have never experienced any rudeness from any of your department workers and that is one important reason why I continue to shop at your stores. Aside from being rather rude, she made an error by double charging me for an item. All I ask is that you please reprimand her by advising her that customers always come first as far as courtesy goes, regardless of the outcome. I want to be able to continue to shop at your stores in the future and I want to be able to continue to enjoy the atmosphere and workers as I have in the past. Thank You for your professional courtesy and cooperation in this regard. Nadine A. Cantu (361) 232-9830
The rating above is in regards to my previous e-mail forwarded to you with regard to your Store No. 490/Cashier No. 327024, Jacquelyn Sanford. Thank You.
I agree with Rima, comments. The store in Almeda Mall Houston is the WORST! KATHY the manager is RUDE and need to go to a class to learn PEOPLE SKILLS! They never greet you when you walk in the store. Never ask you if you need help it's disgusting when your patronizing a store and get treated the way those Characters in that store treats you! Went to the Galleria Houston store the same day which was yesterday September 10th and the service was REMARKABLE compared to the TRASH you have working in your ALMEDA store! Someone need to make changes with management in that store ASAP!
The experience with the store wasn't negative, they ordered a skirt for me that they didn't have in the store. I wore it once and the zipper broke. I called the customer service number and they told me to ship it back with the shipping cost and that they would sent me a new one and reimburse shipping. There is not a store near where I live anymore as the coastland mall store closed. I did as asked and never received my shipping refund. This was in June. In July I called and they told me that I needed to fax the receipt. I faxed the receipt and two weeks later I called when I still had not received my refund and was told that I faxed it to the wrong number (that someone had originally given me) and I had to fax it again. I faxed it again and called at the end of July and they said that they sent it over to the corporate office for the shipping refund of 16.80 as I was told I had to send it UPS. I called the corporate office several times and the customer service line several times and have been assured that someone will follow up and I will receive my refund and I still don't have it. I will not give up until I receive my refund. I will be emailing corporate and will continue to let everyone know of my negative experiences and will never shop at these stores or online again. This is the most absurd experience I have ever had with a company. Te customer service in the main office and corporate is seriously lacking, not to mention that the skirts zippers break ALL the time. I just threw another one away because it wasn't even worth the bother. I used to spend all my money at their stores, but not anymore. What a shame that they can't get it together to take care of a loyal customer.
This was actually an online purchase and I am hoping you can route my inquiry to the appropriate department. (I find it frustrating that I am unable to locate an email for general customer service or online support). Here is what I want to know Do I qualify for the $25 sign up for email's? I just created my account today and when I saw it at the bottom it said I didn't qualify because I have an existing account. Also my roommate attempted to sign up for the emails but received a warning to contact tech support. Is she unable to because we have the same mailing address? Who should I email regarding this questions.
I just had a horrible experience with an online order and I'm not sure I'll ever shop with New York and Co. again. I was lied to and ripped off. Horrid customer service to boot! I'd give them 0 stars if I could!!!
I have a coupon that expires today. I decided that since I have not had a chance to get to the store to use it I would get online this morning and shop from home. The website was down this morning, so no big deal, it happens. I went to work and during my lunch I jumped onto the website and selected a few items. I was getting ready to check out when the website went down again. So I rush home from work and again I select my items and I am getting ready to check out and the website goes down and I cannot get into it. It is now 11:20 pm and my coupon will expire at midnight. This is such a buzz kill, this happens to me several times a year with their website.
The company was went into private equity ... the product is crap. The upper Management are sharks.. they treat the employees like garbage and always a problem with getting paid properly. Craig Scott is the CEO making 3 million a year .. what a waste of money.
I just came home from the New York and Company at the Almeda Mall in Houston and it's the worst customer service experience I've EVER come across. I work in retail and know how things work in a store like this, but this was beyond ridiculous. I was in by 4:30 and was not greeted. After some time I finally asked an associate for the pant I was looking for and she said "right back there and those at the front" so I went to those vaguely mentioned areas. No one helped me after that. I barely found a pant and I was trying to do the buy get one 75% off. I probably roamed the store for a good hour and no one said anything. Didn't find a gray pant, because no one helped me. When ever I would ask a question, the associates never explained anything. Just gave me yes or no answers. When I finally thought I was finished, I took a pant and shirt to check out and it turns out the shirt was not included in the sale so I said I would find another one fast the the girl rudely says "you have two minutes". I would have been out the door in half an hour if I just had decent help. The ONLY reason I stayed was because I really needed black pants for an interview. I plan on returning the shirt tomorrow at a different location, but just noticed the "NET PRICE" part on the receipt. I will go as far as I need to get a full refund, whether that's the district manager or further. WORST ASSOCIATES EVER.
Their return policy is theft. I returned some items a couple days past the receipt date and was told that because my receipt was expired they could only refund me the current selling price of the items (and it had to be store credit) rather than what I actually paid. I said I believed it was theft. I had the receipt, the clothes practically untouched (had tried on once at home) with the tags on them and in the bag they gave me upon purchase. She said that she couldn't help me because my receipt was expired. I told the girl that I needed to talk to someone who could help me. She said that she was the manager. I said "well then let me talk to your general manager." She then said that she could just this one time over ride it. I understand only giving someone back the current selling price when there is NOT A RECEIPT TO PROVE THE PAID PRICE, but this was ridiculous. I knew going in that I would have to accept store credit only since I was late, but to steal from me in addition to that is ridiculous! I tried to get back to the store earlier, but my son has been sick and I was in and out of Dr. offices with him all month while working full time and having to make up all the time I missed to take him to Dr. appointments. I really couldn't get there sooner. I wasn't trying to take advantage of the store, but feel they were trying to take advantage of me. A horrible policy and another lost customer. I will shop there only one time more, and that is only to use my in store credit from the return. I don't expect them to last long.
Contrary to most of these comments I have to let you all know that here in Miami we have the best of them!. I have been a NY&CO customer for a very long time. Love their coupons and sales!!. I have never had an issue nor exchange of words with anybody in any of the different stores I have visited including the ones at Ft. Lauderdale. My coupons are always accepted as long as they are good in validity. I'm glad to say I'm a happy customer
