MIDAS SUCKS!...I DONT RECCOMEND ANYBODY TAKE YOUR CAR THERE...THEY ARE DISHONEST, VERY LAZY IN WORK AND DONT LIKE TO OWN UP TO PROBLEMS!

I noticed my 2004 Chrysler Sebring was not heating properly. So, I thought it just needed some anitfreeze. Well, that was not it. I noticed antifreeze leaking from the bottom of my car. Thinking it might be a hose or something, I took it to Midas in my neighborhood. They said,"it was leaking from a hole from where the water pump is located." They had no knowledge of why coolant was leaking from this hole. I researched on my computer about this, and the hole is to allow coolant to leak out when the water pump is going bad. It's called the weeping hole! You would think they would know this. Anyway, Midas has had my car for three (3) days for a job that only takes 7 and 1/2 hours. A Chrysler dealer told me it was a 7 and 1/2 hour job. Midas is not equipped to do this kind of repair in a timely manner. The manager from Midas said, "he did not have the tools or the manpower to do this job. I told him,"he showed have told me that in the first place and I would have taken it to a dealership for the work. Hopefully, when the work is done, I hope the car will run right, I have been reading so many horror stories about Midas and I can see why. Are the mechanics at Midas even certified, or are they just wanna be mechanics that Midas hires. One bad experience is enough for me. I'll never step foot in another Midas again, not even for an oil change. People work too hard for their money, to have work done improperly or to make things worse before they came in. Take your car somewhere else, or if you can, pay more money and take it to a dealership. And get second opinions too.

I work for Midas. I'm DONE with this company. My superiors are into screwing our customers over. They don't care about your well-being or your car, they just want your money and want as much of it as they can get their hands onto. It makes me sick. And they dont treat the techs much better either, well, with the exception of one tech who happens to be the "decision maker" for all the superiors. If he doesn't like you, you're fired. I've never worked for such a poorly ran company with unfair labor practices and an unsafe/hazardous work environment. Midas should be shut down for good.

I had excellent service in Novi, Michigan. I had a piece of metal in my tire and he had it fixed by his work crew in no time. I told him I was driving 600 miles the next day and he said I would have no problem with the repair. He said I didn't need a new tire and that I could drive a long time with the repair. He said he would say that same thing to his own mother. I appreciated the HONESTY!

In 2008, my mother was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Because my mother lived in nother state, I had to do extensive (700+ miles... one) driving many times. I brought my car into Midas where I worked for a routine check so I would not break down on the interstate. $1000.00ands of dollars later, I have come to the realization that I was taken. This manager, Joel, lied, connived, and robbed me without a gun. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME ON MIDAS!!! Knowing the sensitive situation, as well as the anxiety I felt at the time, only helped this man to take me. I am thoroughly disgusted with this establishment. Word of mouth is the best advertisement. Midas, then, say adios to your reputation. It is simply horrible! Again, SHAME ON YOU!!! BBB will be contacted as well.

MIDAS 522 READING RD. CINCINNATI,OHIO 45206 Took my car in for broken alternator belt, had them change the oil, tire rotation, check exhuast gaskets. Gave them over a day, go to pick it up and it is like benny hill tech shows me under the car yep sir the exhaust gasket is blown but we did change your oil. Starts lowering car so I can take it and says your car is missing it's alternator belt. Simply could not believe it, even after handing the manager the belt when I first went in..unreal..ohhhh and they never bothered to rotate the tires even after advertising oil change/tire rotation.

I took my 2009 toyota camary for an oil change in june at the Midas on 1 Coes Square Worcester, MA 01603 (508) 752-2888, a few weeks later the car stalled and the oil light turned on. My car had to be towed to the toyota dealership and they told me that the oil filter was missing. I then brought this to the attention of Midas. The manager told me that they would refund me the money it cost to have my car towed and for the work Toyota did on it. Its been over 6 months and all I have gotten from them is the run-around and the owner of that Midas keeps avoiding my calls. I have yet to recieve a return call on the status of my refund, all he has ever said is that "corporate" deals with refunds so I have to wait for them. Either way he has dealt with my issue very unproffesionally!

Just picked up my 2000 Focus this morning from Midas i thought the prices on parts were a little high until I went to NAPA auto parts website and realized just how bad they tried to rip me off on parts alone. $22 for ONE (1) spark plug WTF is this thing plated in gold?? I check the NAPA price it's $6.99, plug wires Midas charged me $65.oo same part on NAPA site $21.99 luckily i had the option of paying half my bill up front and leaving a check for the other half which I have immediatly cancled! Never again MIDAS! you can suck my balls

I went to MIDAS on Port Washington Rd Milwaukee, WI and had my brakes replaced, along the drums and roters. A week later my drum in the rear locks up and I returned it there. They then replaced what they said was a bad one. Now yesterday my front brakes locked up and had to pay $157 dollars to have it towed and they now tell me I am going to have to pay over $280 for a new master brake cylinder. I called the Dealership and they told me that they have never seen a vehicle with less than 100,000 miles need this done. Can someone explain how I have this many problems and the MIDAS is saying it isn't their fault yet there was no problem with the car before the brakes were done because only a week prior I had it at Firestone and they said I was good to go!

The people at Midas are nothing but complete crooks. I went to a Midas shop on S. Brawgaw St in Anchorage, AK on 11-19-10 to get my starter and battery replaced for my 97'nissan pathfinder. They gave me an extremely high estimate of $600+. I asked how much the starter was and they said $400. I asked how much the labor would be if I brought in my own starter, they said $203 would be my total and this would include a new battery. After I went and got my starter, they added $172 more to the total and said they had to make it up for the starter they didn't sell me. Now this is complete bs.

I took my Honda Accord to Midas for an oil change and transmission fluid change. I got the discount and thought it was a good deal compared to other places, however, two months later I check the oil and my dipstick is dry. Bone dry. I have no oil leaks. I took it to a mechanic to check for that. So what happened to all that oil? Midas forgot to refill the oil after they drained it. We called, not for a refund, but to let them know that they forgot so they would not forget again on someone else and we were treated as though we were unintelligent fools. Jimmy decided to cuss us and tell us that a car cannot go two months without oil yet mine did. However I do not drive it a lot. He would not admit something was wrong or even try to civilly discuss it with us. Customer service and public relations is not this company's priority. I live in Longview, TX and would rather pay the extra 20 bucks than be treated so harshly. I did check my transmission fluid after that. Thank God they did it.

I went to Midas, in Philadelphia, PA on Chelten Avenue. I would like to say that even though my stay there was longer than intented. Your receptionist Jackie at the front desk, showed great customer service. I must say that you should hire more people like her. She made my stay wonderful, I did not even have time to complain about the long wait. She is very detailed oriented and she took the time to explain to me about my bill and as she went over the problems that my vehicle was having she explained to me what would best benefit me for my vehicle. Especially, since I was taking my vehicle on a road trip.

IF U R OUT THERE AND THINKING ABOUT A PLACE TO TAKE YOUR CAR TO GET IT FIXED DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT GO TO MIDAS....MY FAMILY JUST PAID OUT A LARGE CHUNK OF MONEY(AND I DO MEAN ALOT THAT WE REALLY DIDNT HAVE)...AND THEN THE PROBLEM WAS STILL NOT FIXED....MIDAS MESSED UP OR DID NOT ACCURATELY FIX THE ENGINE(YEAH THE CAR'S HEARTBEAT...NO BIG DEAL RIGHT(NO GOOD FOR BUSINESS) AND NOW THYRE TELLING US WE HAVE TO SPEND EVEN MORE FOR A WHOLE NEW ENGINE(I DONT THINK SO...NOW IM NOT A ROCKET SCIENTIST BUT I DO HAVE COMMON SENSE AND THAT MAKES NOOOOOOO SENSE!)....IM NOT PUTTING IT ON EVERY MIDAS DEALER OUT THERE BUT WHEN U LOOK ON THIS CORPORATE(NOT ANY OLE LOCAL PAGE)...BUT CORPORATE PAGE AND U SEE ALLLLLLLL THESE COMPLAINTS IT MAKES YOU WONDER......WE CANT ALLLLLLL BE WRONG OR MAKING UP THESE PROBLEMS!!...TIME TO FIND A NEW FIXER UPPER.....MIDAS, UR MESSIN UP BETTER GET IT TOGETHER!

We also took our 2003 mazda to get an oil change. They changed the oil and when we got it home we noticed oil leaking. I was,nt sure that they did anything to it so i purchased the items and fixed it my self. It was the drain plug and the oil pan. We then we back to get the oil changed several months later giving them the benifit of the doubt. We should't have because the same thing happened. When we took it back he said he wanted to put some black die in the engine. they stated they would take a look at it then they wanted to hook it up to something and charge me more money. they must have done something . they were very rude when talking to them and said they did nothing wrong when we know they stripped the plug I would nevergo back to midas They suck!!!!!

I took my yukon to the local midas as I broke my emergency brake cable. so after 4 visits and $538 later I still am not able to use the parking brake. Oh they put new e-brake shoes on and new cables but tell me there is no way to adjust the cable for tightness. I am currenlty disabled and was once an automotive tech so I know this is bullS%^&. So yesterday after teh 4th attempt I leave with my truck adn I have white smoke pouring out for the brake hub. I am told it is ok and there is nothing they can do. It is just the oil burnign off (BULLS&^%). most likely the overtightened the e-brake shoe and it burnt off. I am going to file a small claim court charge against them and see if I can get my money back Very appalling & deplorable.

I recently took my 2008 Fusion (30,000 miles) to Midas to get an oil change and windsheild wipers replaced. Upon returning and picking up my car 3 hours later, I drove off the lot and the car died 3 blocks away. I called and spoke to the manager there who insisted they did nothing wrong, and wanted me to have it towed back to the shop. I declined b/c I have Ford Roadside and they towed me to the Ford Dealership near me. Ford Stated that when Midas checked the Air filter they knocked dirt into the sensor. Everytime I started the car the sensor went off and was shutting my car down. I receieved the report from Ford stating that Midas was not careful in inspecting the car and were at fault. I then had my Ins. agent call Midas to ask them to pay for the $120.00 bill I received from Ford, the Manager was rude to my agent and said it was my fault b/c they told me it was dirty and I declined to have it replaced. LIE!!!!!!! I was never told about anything that needed replaced and infact had to tell them to replace my wipers b/c they were getting bad. He said that if I would have towed it to them they would have looked at it again but b/c I didn't its not their fault. After this, I have recently heard 2 other people in my office have the same thing happen to them at a Midas! I know that $120.00 Isn't much but when all I wanted was an oil change it ended up costing me $180.00!!!!!

I see there is another person who went to the Butler location.Their service is horrible they have a bunch of morons there who cannot perform the easiest tasks on a vehicle.Good God these bunch of dumb asses can't even perform an oil change and check tire pressures.I also had them try to rip me off with an expensive repair much like Melissa had mentioned. They are a bunch of thieves, they won't do simple maintenence as required, but will instead try to charge outrageous prices for things you don't need.

We took our car to Midas in response to a promotional coupon for a change of Oil up to 5 quarts and including a Tire Rotation- Well let's assume that I am not an intimidated old lady or a young lady,, cause I am not- In fact I am a man- and what people need to realize is that companies such as Midas-Tire Kingdom, Speedy Muffler and other sorts of these one stop Muffler shops that specialize in Brakes and Muffler systems all have one thing in common- That is to not let you out their site without creating a $1,200.00 to $1,700.00 dollar bill for future work- They first use the excuse of a Free tire rotation to remove your wheels so that they can then critique your tire and brake system into a tally of somewhere in the sums around the above prices. What most people are unaware of it that their brakes usually never need replaced in the entirety that these places present. In fact in most cases the only thing that need replaced is the brake pads - which cost for the pads on average $25.00 -- The rest of these itemized costs are abuse charges so that they can keep their doors open. What is even sadder is that this abuse is done with a vengeance.. These shops actually scare or intimidate people into having this work done- Usually some corporate schmuck needs gas for their boat so they smash fees onto their customers by telling them that they need work done that the customer doesn't need to have done. And if you check around the country the cost are always in the price range of the 12 hundred to the 17 hundred mark- don't worry about the hospital stress bill cause you were bullied into this tradition that these places share. It works well for them cause if you get other estimates they all will tell you the same thing.. Your rotors are bad , or you need new struts --- Liars -- and in some cases I have even seen where shops have called the cops on their customers all because the customer didn't have the funds to fix their car at the time of service inspection- so the dynamic duel of the cops and the shops hovered down on the poor person and made their life suck more then in did before they walked through the doors, of the muffler shop- Today I will tell you that the Midas where we took our car they did not complete the inspections of tire rotation cause we asked them not too.. the reason is when your tires are rotated then your car has the greater chance of having front end alignment problems do to tires that have been rotated by the shop - whose lack of integrity and concerns are governed by personal greed.. In our case, we asked that since they Midas was going to rotate the tires we asked them to just take off the two front tires instead of all of the tires and to check for a rock inside our wheel - First they tried to charge us for this and told us that such an inspection was different then what they did and this was called a brake inspection- and I argued that so is the process leading up and following the tire rotation - This was a brake inspection - and that I had proof from the last inspection that was completed there only a few months prior to this visit. So the guy whose name was Hoviar but wore the shirt with the name Don for a name tag- Well Haviar was rude and condescending- he was cocky - and when our car was in their shop we didn't hear back from them within the time period of an hour which is when we had been told would be the amount of time that the work would take to be completed. So we called and wouldn't you know it.. that the morons called a different number then the one that we provided at the time of service.. so here it is my phone number is great big writing on our service contract and no one could bother to call us- instead they called our old number - so we needlessly waited for an additional 1/2 hour all because the Moron Haviar with the bad attitude was going out of his way to be uneasy on us , another example was when we returned to the Midas shop to pick our car up this day when they called the wrong number- well we got to the Midas shop we walked cause we only have one car and when we arrived there Haviar was on the phone in the garage and instead of coming up to the front to help us he left us standing there for 20 minutes until I finally got tired and went to the garage to which we saw him looking at us at the counter, but Haviar decided that we were not to be treated like respectable customers and he pulled all the stops with regards to showing us no respect - This was not the first time I had a car worked on- and this will not be the last, but with certainty I will say this will be the last time Midas works on any of my cars or any of my family's cars

On Wednesday, 10/6/10, I brought my Cobalt into the location listed above, as I noticed noisy braking. An older mechanic rode the car with me and informed me the squeaking was due to moisture. However, he did tell me I was in need of new struts. Once back at the store, I waited a good half-an-hour while the manager, Al attempted unsuccessfully to give me a price. The following Saturday, I returned to the same location at about 6:10 for an oil change. The same mechanic informed me that the shop was closed, which contradicted the sign posted. I asked why the hours had been changed, and he responded "I WANT to go home!" and asked if I wished to schedule an appointment, I didn't. Finally, yesterday 10/11/2010, I returned to receive the oil change. The manager Al was at the desk when I approached. The same elderly mechanic was at the door from the garage. UNBELIEVABLY, the mechanic began to tell me how I "resembled a girl that came in after close on Saturday for an oil change." He went on about how the girl, me, "demanded" service, which is completely false, and how rude she was. To my complete surprise, the manager joined in, telling me the story about how this girl came in four times and is never satisfied. Then, he asked the mechanic, "You don't like that girl very much, do you?" He replied, "NO." I was astounded that not only a worker, but a manager, would continue to talk about me to my face, knowingly or not. Regardless or whether or not they knew it was me I found it completely unprofessional and rude. I immediately left the store and had my mother (I'm 17) call in, she was infuriated. While the manager completely denied the entire situation, she managed to get him to agree to give me a free oil change. Once I arrived, I received no apology and the manager pretended as if it never happened. The only positive thing I can say about this experience is that a young mechanic, I believe Dustin, was the only kind and courteous one. If this behavior is considered "acceptable" for a manager and his workers to torment a 17 year-old college student, I am completely opposed to the Midas company.

I had my Rack and pinion replaced a couple of weeks ago at Midas. What a mistake that was.Thay gave me an est. for $700 I called a couple of places and got one for $580 with a front end allilment so Midas said thay will match that offer. So when i got my car back the front end wasen't allined and my car ran like crap.I got a little upset at them for lieing to me but i got over it untill i brought my car into Merlins to have the lower ball joints replaced.Thay told me that the boots came off of the RPS and there was a vacume line hanging there not connected to one end.Thay also left a bolt off of one of the hoses so it was flooping around. When I told them of what thay done he looked at me like i was bothering him.Thay fixed it but not even a sorry from him.My car still dosent run right and i wasted a whole day because of someone elses mistake.
