I brought our last van and had a coupon for an oil change and tire rotation and courtesy fluid check. They forgot to tighten the lug nuts on one of my tires and the tire was wabbling. Being a female I had no clue what was wrong. I called and let them know it was wabbling and they said to bring it in the next day. That evening it was vibrating so bad. I pulled over and someone pulled up to help me. The lug nuts on one tire were almost completely off and I about lost a tire because they did not tighten them. The nuts were not stripped either and I had four children in my car. I went yesterday to have a check engine code and they told me it was a camshaft position sensor. I had to pay 254 dollars and about two hours after driving away it started the same exact symptoms.( Hesitating and jerking and jumping rpms) I had the crankshaft sensor replaced by someone else a week prior. They must have made an estimated guess to make some money and sent me on my way without properly fixing my vehicle. Needless to say I will be there first thing in the morning. Before they open I will be in the parking lot waiting.

I live in Norman Oklahoma, and I took my 1989 Chevy Celebrity to them, and I got PERFECT service. The men are friendly, and they told me that my car is in excellent condition !! I was told by another place here in Norman not to take my car on the road...well, they lied to me. Midas Muffler IS THE GREATEST !! Period. The End. I have spoken.

minneapolis midas is very bad they dont know what they are doing dont go their please you will have problems

I recently went to get my car inspected in order to renew my registration and my car failed due to a problem with my muffler. The man at the inspection station showed me that my muffler had been welded in a way that it shouldn't have been and it has ruined my muffler, which is now leaking exhaust into my car causing it to fail inspection (not to mention the potential health risk!). I couldn't remember having had ANY work at all done to my muffler EVER until a friend reminded me that she had borrowed my car in December of 2006 and had taken it to Midas on DW Highway in Nashua because the muffler had fallen off. She checked her credit card records which confirmed that on December 19, 2006, Midas in Nashua had charged 337 dollars for the work done on the muffler. This morning, I went to the same Midas store and the manager (George) pulled his records, which matched ours. When I explained to him my concerns (that the work had clearly been done improperly and that perhaps I had been overcharged) he became belligerent. He was speaking so loudly and angrily that whatever points he was trying to make were lost. When I told him I would be back with my uncle to discuss it further, he went into the shop and I could hear him VERY LOUDLY complaining to the other workers about me. I left not only with my initial concerns about shoddy workmanship not having been addressed, but feeling shocked and shaken by the lack of professionalism and what amounts to a verbal assault! I would appreciate speaking with someone about my concerns, I look forward to finding a resolution.

the most horrible company in the world. how do they stay in business. I see where the California sting was right on the money. Won't help when you need it but happy to take your money. the franchiseee says it's Corp. policy, probably is.

If there was an option for ZERO stars I would select it, they don't deserve to even have ONE star. I took my car for an oil change at the Midas on Alma School Rd and Guadalupe in Mesa Arizona. I dropped off my car for an oil change, the guy told me to return in about 30 minutes. I took about 45 min before I went to get my car. However as I was driving down the road I saw my car at a gas station. I went over to the Midas and asked the guy at the front desk if my car was driven to the gas station and the guy said he did not know, he also did not know where my car was at. As the guy that drove it to the gas station came in I asked him why he drove it to the gas station, he said his boss told him to. I went back inside and asked the same guy I had talked to if I could speak to the manager, he said he was the manager. I asked him why the other guy had take the car to the gas station. He said the car was taken on a test drive but he didn't know the guy was going to go to the gas station. I asked him for a corporate number or his boss's number and he said he was the owner and there was no corporate. He didn't charge me for the oil change and gave me a coupon for a free oil change. I left the coupon there and left. There's gotta be someone that takes ownership of such unprofessional behavior and lack of respect for customers. I will never go to a Midas, and I will do my best to share this negative experience in every social site I can. I will call the corporate office and also file a complaint on the BBB. Never again!

my Daughter had her volkswagon looked at by the midas in Prospect Park, PA. they charged $75,00 to tell me what I told them the problem was. then charged Her $950 to replace a secondary cooling fan, ( a plastic fan about 12" in dia. ) they stated the fan cost $500 and the labor was 3&1/2 hrs. they stated that was cheap compared to a volkswagon dealer. not using my brain, I let them do the work. later that day I called a volkswagon dealer just to check their price, What a shock !! volkswagon advised me that Midas ripped us off, the entire job shouls have been $460. thats from a dealer. watch out !!!!! midas double charges fot parts and for the labor. go to a dealer, the job is done right, and they do not double charge. Midas should be shut down for decieving customers. OH ! when I went back to complain the manager gave my Daughter a $100 refund, he also stated that is how Midas makes the profit, they double charge customers and tell them that they are cheaper than the dealers, they are criminals !!!!!! Midas just lost the business of 6 vehicles and has many family & friends I can warn!!!!!!

I had brake pads replaced a a Toledo Midas Shop. The advertisement on the front of the store said pads 50% off lifetime warrenty. I paid the bill and after a day I thought to check out the 50% offer. I called another midas shop and wanted the same work and found it to be $100.00 less. I called MIDAS CORPORATE and they said that each midas shop can charge what they deem necessary. I thought that all Midas shops would be equally priced or closely priced, and that I would not have to call all MIDAS SHOPS in the area to get the best price. Why is this.LOst all confidence in Midas AFTER YEARS OF LOYALTY.

Took my vehicle for repair. My car kept feeling weird when I would step on the gas peddle. We kind of new it was the transmission. We still gave Midas the benefit of the doubt. They said it had to do something with the ABS. So After $2000 and several trips to Midas they finally told us that it's the transmission. Now we don't have the money to replace the transmission. We've already reported them to Auto business burea and will also send a letter to their corp. We like to get a partial refund or for them to fix it with us paying the whole repair.

I went to midas because my air condtioning was leaking and they had a coupon saying they will check for the leak for free and when i got there he told me he had to many cars ahead of me which was ok but he told me he will locate another location and see if they can me and i said ok the man at the other location said he can take me so i went when i got there he told me he couldnt see me because they dont do free work well thats not what the coupons say so i called the first location to ask why wouldso hsend me there if he know the man asked him did i have a coupon he startes yelling and jus had horrible customer service so bascially they have false advertisements i wont my car fixed point blank

Midas is all around rip off place! They lie about your vehicle so they can make a fast money. I took my car in because my front driver side wheel was making noise to get them to inspect it. Guy name Julian at Midas Mufflers Newhall Ca ( Don't ever take you car there) came and told me to leave my car so I did. When I came back after an hour, the guy tells me that I have bearing problems, brake problems and so on. I knew I had some issues with my rear brakes in which I wanted to change, but this guy told me it was the front brakes and that if the bearing goes, my tires will fly off the freeway. He gave me $1,7000 pricing to fix it. So I told the guy, I will think about it and come back. That day, I took it the my Mercedes Benz Mechanic Paul who runs the Ben Tech in Santa Clarita and he inspected the car and he told me Midas didn't know what they were talking about and the bearing on my car was fine and my rear brakes was the one needed replaced not the front. I just cant believe freaking Midas, try to give them business and all they do is take advantage of people! Midas corporate office should truly investigate how Midas run their business! I will NEVER EVER GO TO MIDAS FOR ANY FREAKING THING IF THEY WERE THE LAST FREAKING BRAKE PLACE IN THIS WORLD! I WOULD RATHER TRASH MY CAR THEN TAKE IT THEM!!!!! ASSHOLES

Midas is horrible! I would not recommend anyone use them. I took my vehicle to the Midas in Dayton, Ohio and in Englewood, Ohio. I received poor customer service and poor vehicle service. When I complained about it the manager had the audacity to get smart with me about my vehicle issues. The tech was suppose to top off my fluids, he lied and said he checked them and he never did. My engine was running almost bone dry on coolant. I have had poor services for the brakes. They also put pads on my car and now the vehicle squeaks really loud and is irritating and embarassing like chalk on a chalkboard. Never again will I give a dime to Midas and I urge all others to find a better vehicle repair shop as well!

I have performed landscaping & snow plowing services for midas for the past 3 years now. It takes them over 3 Months to send our payment after they have recieved the invoice. Now i havent had an issue with them up untill now. Yes waiting 3 months to get paid for the service i provided them with is a little rediculous but as of 4 months ago which was Feb. 2011 they cancelled my services & started using there own plow trucks they had purchased. It is now May 10 & despite all my calls I have yet to recieve payment from services provided in Dec. Jan. & Feb.! If you are at all a contractor and reading this, do not provide Midas Corp with your services! I will say in the Midas Businesses Defense, there are personal owned Midas Centers who I still service to this day and they are exellent clients & on time with payments. Its a shame corporate doesnt follow in their foot steps. Bill White SLCSI

I took my honda to the midas in Dearborn heights because my exhaust system from the catalytic converter back fell off. they "rebuilt" the exhaust system and ever since then it has been extremely loud and obnoxious while driving. I took it back to them and they said its not the exhaust at all its something in my power terrain. since then ive been to precision tune auto care and belltire and theyve both said its definitely that exhaust system, its wayyy to noisy and it rattles! Its not even a f****** year old! every time i go back to midas they say its not my problem. bulls*** its not. I just want it fixed! I paid almost $500 for something that should have cost me $320. those quotes were from belltire and precision tune auto care. go there instead. midas is terrible!! Corporate won't hear the end of it from me!

I wish I would have listened to other people who have complained about the Midas in Pikesville, Maryland. The customer service was very poor and the manager of the store was not very professional. I will never have another vehicle of mine serviced there again. Their prices are not any better than other places who have better personnel working for them.

This past Saturday, I was on Highway 205 when the driver's side windshield wiper (newly installed at the car's dealership) fell apart with parts flying every where. It was raining really hard and couldn't see, plus I am not familiar with that area. Took the first exit off the highway to find help for it was close to 5:00 p.m. Traveled down past a giant mall to 82nd Avenue and pulled into the Midas store at 11520 SE 82nd Avenue. The manager (Mike) came over and I showed him what was left of the wiper. Mike went into the store and came back with some parts and fixed the wiper in the rain and wouldn't let me pay him. I don't live close to that Midas, but if I did I would definitely have them take care of my car. Thanks Mike, your kindness/mechanical skills are awesome.

This company must have been sold. The reason i'd taken many cars to Midas over the, years is exactly why I'll never go back. They used to be famous for the Hall of Fame letters of thanks, and recommendations they kept tacked to there front desk, for all to see. Its no secret why they don't have that anymore! I got belts changed out. And yes they do charge a whopping markup now on labor and parts, but hey thats the auto repair/maintenance business nowadays. So long story short. I drive an Echo, which has a flimsy glove box that pulls down. The latch was broken when I paid and got in to drive off. It wouldn't shut, thats why I noticed it. So I told the What Passes as a Manager, and he looked at it and looked at me and said 'well the latch is broke', well duh. I told him is wasn't like that when I brought in, and he kept telling me we had no reason to be in there. I told him the standard, 'i wouldn't be back', which meant nothing to this guy, by the way total change to the type of manager they used to have at both the locations I went to in the past. He just shrugged!!! Like suit yourself. LOL Like, oh well you when some you lose some. But he turned me off from the get go, with the used car sales pitch. So not surprised. So what happened, the 'tech', thought the hood latch was in there or that it was the latch. At least MAN UP, right?! But this the type of employees, from Manager on down that they hire now. I did wonder why they have different employees in there from 6 months ago, my last visit. That manager was totally more professional. My guess is this company was bought in recent years and is being mismanaged from the corp office. They can't keep good people, obviously. BIG RED FLAG, FOLKS! Well I guess i got off easy, with my lesson.

I am deeply disappointed. The Midas in Denton, TX closed. This shop was great with quality of work and customer service. Now, I had to go to Midas in Lewisville, TX. I took my truck and had the brakes replaced - $500, plus. Two days later, I was driving down I35 and the rear tire locked up for no reason. Had to have it towed to a dealership shop. They said that one bolt, holding the caliper to the rotor was missing and the other was very loose. It was their determination that the tech at Midas hand-tightened the bolts only and forgot to torque them tight. I spent over $200 at the dealership. I took the receipt to the Midas responsible and the manager, with no drama, took my information and made a copy of the receipt. Two weeks later, I was reimbursed. I am pleased on this place making it right, monetary wise. However, the manager was not apologetic and was unmoved by this incident - as if this has happened before... he seemed unbothered by this terrible quality of work. I have always been an advocate for Midas but sadly I will never take any vehicle of mine to a Midas shop again. Goodbye.

Never take your car to Midas. I will not specify here but will be sending a letter to the corporate office and the BBB in Montgomery County. Horrible is all I can say, in violation of a number of ethics and customer service policies, I actually trusted them because I used them back in the Midwest and had great service. Defective pricing, Proceeded with work without Authorization, kept wobbling on whether needed to be actually done or not, terrible, even worse than the service you get at Jiffy Lube, who left the oil plug out of my 1969 GTO (mint), and shut-down the engine. They replace the engine, but I will never use Midas again. I am not sure I can file a small claims suit against them, but I am checking with legal.

I went to the Midas on Glendale in Toledo ohio, where Todd is the Manager, and the service was awesome. I will continue to get my services done at Midas, I called Todd and asked if he could squeeze in at 5:00 on March 24, 2011 and he did. I was so appreciative of him doing that, when I got there the customer service and the treatment of the customers was handled in a very professional manner. When I left I was very satisfied and my car runs as though I just brought it. Thanks Todd and the Toledo Crew on Glendale for your awesome customer service and I will be back. They were great and I wasn't there all day. Satisfied Customer, I will be back. Have a great day.
