I really like Macy's except, if you have a complaint they give you the run around where you cannot speak to a supervisor in the collections department. Long story, over an hour on the phone just trying to let a supervisor know of an issue with her staff, but can't because collections will not take the call or the customer service will not transfer you. Most stores would like a supervisor to know if they have an employee doing a poor job or that would cost them a customer. Not sure I understand why Macy's would be different. Maybe too big, Maybe dont' care. The fact that that make it where you cannot complain has had even a more negative impact than the bad employee issue. It has a really negative impact on me shopping at one of my favorite stores.

My daughter visited macys in Lexington Ky today 3 June 2011 she was met with rudeness and treated indignately by the sales associates in the shoe department, Claude and Tatiyanna. When she asked for a manager to make a complaint Racheal who claimed to be a manager came over and basically blew her off. She then called me because we have been long time Macys customers and she has her wedding registry there; and I went over I asked for the phone number to corporate because I understand that trouble rolls down hill. So I thought if the magager wouldn't or couldn't help them maybe someone above them could help, I was approached by Summer (another supervisor) whom basically thought the entire situation was funny. If this is how macys trains their associates and managers maybe we should all shop other places.

VERY VERY BAD MANAGEMENT STAFF!!!!!! CORPORATE LOOK INTO GETTING A NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM INCLUDING A NEW STORE MANAGER. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL RUDE BUNCH OF PEOPLE YOU HAVE RUNNING THE STORE, ESPECIALLY THE ONE IN SAVANNAH. KEEP THE ASSOCIATES EXCEPT THE LADY IN MODERATE MS. TYRA A VERY RUDE EMPLOYEE. SHE IS VERY LOUD AND DISRESPECTFUL. SHE'S IN NOT LADY LIKE AT ALL.

MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE!!!! LOOK INTO GETTING A NEW MORE FRIENDLIER STAFF. SAVANNAH MACY'S HAVE BAD MANAGEMENT TEAM. STORE MANGAGER NOT PROFESSIONAL. I WOULD CONSIDER SHOPPING ONCE NEW MANAGEMENT ARRIVE UNTIL THEN NEVER AGAIN WILL I SHOP.

I really hope this note gets to Macy's headquarters. Macy's is not a good place to shop. The store manager Patty Davis is rude and she is not at all a people person. She doesn't smile or greet or even say hello, but she expects that from her employees. WHy should they do it, if the manager don't? She is suppose to lead by example. Ms. Davis don't even greet her employees. She is not professional at all. This store is the most unprofessional place I have ever shopped. I had a very good welcome greeting by a young lady in the IA dept. I believe her name was Cynthia. She was very professional and she made me want to shop there again. If it wasn"t for some of the nice employees working there I would never shop there again. Ms. Cynthia really made me feel like she cared. I just don't like the management staff. Ms Fay Dimick is also another obnoxious manager who is truly rude. I was speaking to one of the associates one day and she just talked over me without even greeting me or the associate or saying excuse me or anything. Now how rude was that? She needs to go to a learn how to greet management class or something or they just need to get rid of her and Patty Davis. If Ms. Dimick and Ms. Davis would leave I would probably shop there more. They make me feel really unappreciative when I come there to shop. It's like they don't care if I do or if I don't. I don"t like to feel like that. Please corporate look into new management staffing but keep the employess they are awesome.

I hate Macy's in Savannah The store Manager and Ms. Faye Dimick are both rude and nasty to all the customers. Do not shop there. They treat there employees like prisoners with all the stupid rules they have with sales goals, credit and item per transaction. You can't make anyone buy anything. All they stress is credit, credit, credit. Who wants a credit card in these hard times. Come on let's be for real. Management there really sucks no professionalism at that store at all.

I have had a Macy's charge card for over 25 years and have used it fairly frequently. Recently I had the misfortune of having to interact with customer service. The obvious call center from India had a gentleman who did not bother to listen to my question or my inquiry, but instead talked over me until I was so frustrated I told him to stop talking in a voice loud enough to be heard over his own. I asked to speak to a manager and he promptly hung up on me. This is a perfect example of how customer service is presently operated in companies throughout the United States. There is no consequence for these individuals for hanging up on customers whom they don't want to bother with or who may report their incredibly poor job skills to a manager. Corporate does nothing, managers don't want to be inconvenienced, and workers don't care how they treat people or have an ounce of pride in the work that they do. I am closing my account and will never shop at Macy's again; furthermore, I will discourage all my family, friends, and acquaintances to do the same.

Macy's is a horrible place to work. Especially the one in Savannah Ga. The Manager by the name of Patty Davis is not professional at all. She doesn't speak to the employeess or greet them at all but want the employees to greet every customer. Why would you want the employees to greet every customer if your not a people person or a managerial type of person. Ms. Davis should not be a store manager she is rude and obnoxious. He right hand Person is Ms. Faye Dimmick who is also rude and very nasty to customers. The whole savannah store needs new management. Maybe the customer would enjoy shopping there better. Ms. Faye is rude and she has a very nasty tone to all of her employees. Corporate need to to get rid of them both Ms. faye and Ms. Patty the store would be a better place with out them both. Patty take the initiative to speak kindly to your employees. Greet them, say good morning how are you? or something to that nature. Don't just stand there an look at them and say oh who is in Men's or in housewares or were ever. Have a better attitude an maybe you willsee some results. Or just leave and go somplace else if you can't be kind.

Your customer service is pretty good- a lot of friendly employees through out the store until I went to pay. the cashier didn't say a word to me except for my total, never smiled, never looked at me, completely disrespectful. Is this how you treat your customers? Yet, I think it's very brave of you to have homosexual ads. A lot of people think homosexuality is a disease but it's not. You are simply attracted to someone of the same sex, how is being in a love a disease that is corrupting the world? Throughout my years at college, I've taking courses like psychology, sociology, Gender Roles (sociology class focused in gender), anthropology, biology, and ethics and all agree that's there's scientific evidence that homosexually (or at least part of it) is biological. That is, it's in our DNA, out of our control, we don't just wake up one morning and decide to be homosexual. I think it's sick that some people think homosexuality is some terrible disease and that homosexuals are disgusting creatures. There was a male student at my school who committed suicide because he was gay! The negative imaging and messages of how "it's not ok to be gay" in our society drove him to believe he would never be accept and suicide was the only way to bring peace.

May 22, 2011 The person who maintains macys.com should be fired. I could not use the web site to order and also use promo code WEEKEND for 25% off. Oh, wait. That was part of Macy's plan The web site person got a big fat raise. And guess what. The phone number that flashed on the screen 800-289-6229 was closed for the night. How convenient for the greed board members at MACYS. That's okay. Nordstroms here I come. Macy's HAS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE. They don't even deserve one star and they have no customer service number for me to call so I CAN SPEAK TO A LIVE PERSON. THANKS FOR NOTHING. NO MORE THANKS FOR SHARING PROGRAM FOR ME. AND I PARTICIPATED LIKE A FOOL AND I DID NOT EVEN HAVE A JOB. STICK THAT WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE

macys would rather break the law trying to collect from you even after you go five yrs thru bank ruptcy and think they are over the law and stilln want their money what part of bankrupcy do they not understand

We wanted to purchase a modulare sectional from Macy's and were shocked when the salesperson told us the delivery charge. An additional $20.00 per piece after a minimum $85.00 which added up to $165.00 for delivery alone. The sectional was expensive to start with plus delivery. The local furniture stores all charge between $49.00 to $89.00 with no limit on the amount of pieces and sometimes offer free delivery on special sales. Macy's delivery policy is outrageous and should be changed and stop gouging their customers!!!

Let me start out by saying I have never made a late payment so now I received a call from someone saying they never received my May payment so I looked in the checkbook and sure enough no payment so I start looking around at home to no avail and I can only say I never received a statement for May. So I call and try to explain to a very rude "supervisor" that I didn't get the statement and she says "What is your address, we don't have any returned mail" I have been a customer for years and have always paid my bill on time so could you as a courtesy to me remove the 25.00 fee? NO was all she said. I will be paying the low balance in full and closing my account so I hope it was worth loosing a good customer over $25.00. Macy's is not the only place to shop!!!

ATTENTION: Sue AlleN, Senior Vice President of Credit Operations I find it ironic that after being a Macy's customer for so many years as well as at one point being a macy's employee, not once did I receive a survey or any sort of benefit from Macy's but because I complained on April 16th about your so called 'credit guidelines" all of the sudden Macy's cares what I think. I am sure you are well aware of the conversation I had with customer service reps and supervisors on April 16th so I will save myself another headache but I will say it's extremely unprofessional when I simply ask what my credit limit is and in reply I'm asked well how much do you want to spend today and I'll tell you. I think it is absolutely unacceptable to tell your customers they no longer have a credit limit and are now subjected to Macy's new credit guidelines WITHOUT NOTIFICATION. These guidelines that went into effect sometime in March were never announced to your customers as I was told by your customer service reps and supervisors. They also informed me Macys was not planning on notifying anyone and refused to send me a letter stating these changes to my credit card. Is it legal to change my credit card terms and guidelines without notifying me? Again I NEVER received a letter stating my credit card will no longer have a credit limit and that I would have to be subjected to this new 'guideline' that worked on a purchase by purchase basis. So although your customers were given a certain credit limit at the time they opened their credit card account, they now go to make a purchase and are declined and humiliated infront of strangers because they didn't know they had to call customer service to tell them how much they planned on spending for the day and no longer had a credit limit but a guideline that Macy's picks and chooses. What are these credit guidelines based on? Are you running my credit everytime I want to make a purchase, how is this determined? How is this Legal without notifying your customers? I want you to know that I've discussed this with many of your customers, family and friends and none think this is right. Many have told me they will no longer shop with Macys. Some suggested a class action lawsuit which I'm currently considering pursuing. I should also let you know that I plan on notifying the BBB and any other such agencies. Awaiting answers..... Gina (this letter was emailed to macys)

I work in Macy's(Cedar Park Tx).,and I like very much Macy's.. But why our Manager asked me that I have to make $$ high" goals?every day?, and there's Not enough customers?and in one Department we are like 5 empoyees?how can they pretend make high!goals?if there's NOT enough customers?business sometimes it's slow!!.. I like my job I have good personality I have good manners..EXPERIENCE.. What is a customer… Someone that buys something. Why does someone buy something? They need it. They want it. Or they simply like to spend money. Why would they buy it from you? Because you have HELPED them.., give, give, and then give again. If you want to create a repeat customers you have to become known as someone that is generous.. NO CUSTOMER? I can't make my hgh goals. Thank you!

I have had an account with Macys for some years now. I had a very small balance to be paid when I ordered some other items. The order was rejected. When I was switched to the security department they said that I did not have the right information, names where in the account that I did not put there and they would not talked to me anymore and hung up. The next day I called the credit department and they said - THAT I WAS NOT IN THE SYSTEM AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ME ANYWHERE - BY ACCOUNT NUMBER OR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. So my question is since I never existed in their system where is my money going when I paid the bill!!!!! Also, how do they send me monthly bills if I do not exist in their system.

I would like this message forwarded immediately to the Executive Officer over Macy's. I have called wriiten letters and get the reply of: "you are not the account holder, you don't know the password and we (Macy's) can NOT! release this information". The ISSUE; There is an account for 12+ Thousand dollars debt on my credit report - the full account number....only a few numbers avail. How can I be charged to pay something I don't have access to? Knowing the account was opened with my name as a rider by my ex-wife.....both Macy's and I know that, then prove to me of the usage ie....what was purchased, when and how much. Given the information or a phone call will help for starters. this is a pre-note of further actions. Sincerely 706-793-1641

What's with all the "Everyday Values"? It used be only a few select items, now it seems that half the merchandise in the store is an EDV and you cannot use any coupons on them. STOP ALREADY with adding more EDV's!!!!!!!!!!

The most terrible experience EVER is shopping my one time on Macy's website!!! I never got my order and the won't refund me along with rude customer service!!! I can't get an answer or my money!!!!!!

You have a lady by the name of Mary who works in the Macy's Men Department in South Florida at The Coral Square Mall who was awesome and she has GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
