My experience is difficult to rate, simply because the cleak, Tracey was so helpful and the manager of the day was so utterly unconcerned. We shopped at the Pittsburgh, South Hills Village location,on Sunday, April 10, purchasing 2 ladies Lauren suits. Our total purchases for the day were nearly $1000.00 for the 2 suits, which were not on sale. One of the suits was so horribly wrinkled I asked if it could be steamed. Ha!!! Tracey immediately called management for assistance on this and was given a big run around. The steamers are in the basement, they're on timers, they're locked up etc, etc, etc!! This by management personnel!! They should be at the top of the ladder for offering customer service! I would gladly offer to come teach this person a lot about customer service. Having been the top sales person in my division several years running and winner of countless customer service awards for one of your competitors, I have much to offer. This person needs to be made aware of the "Lost Customer" analogy.

On March 9th I purchased a Movado watch from the jewelry department and the extended service total $869.14 I was explained how the club account worked 12 months no interest and I can pay it off before the twelve months. April 12, 2011 I went to customer service to pay my bill and wanting to pay $200.00 on my club account and $150.00 on my store account but, I discover I could not pay the club account off prior to the twelve months. I spoke with a service manager and she called the customer care line for clarification and I got on the phone and spoke with Mr. Howard and he told me that due to my high balance on my account $900 plus that I had to pay that. First of all I keep my bill around one thousand due to the fact that I can pay it off at any time I choose to so I found that comment very insulting. Secondly I do not appreciate being told I can pay my club account off sooner than the twelve months and I can’t I feel like this was a breach of contract and this is not the way I like to do business. I have decided to close all accounts with Macy’s I will be closing I will pay off my visa on the April 18, 2011 when my bill is due and next month I will pay off my club account and my store account and move my business elsewhere. I would like to be taken off your mailing list so you can save your postage and mail because it will only be going to the trash. Thank you your ex-loyal customer.

I received about 10 missed calls this week by a number I didn't recognize. No message was ever left. I got a call again today and talked to someone from Macy's explaining that I didn't pay for $6 ornament on time last December and that I now had over $47 in charges that was due. I was asked why I didnt pay my bill. I explained that I have paid all my past bills in full and knew nothing about this. I shared that I haven't received anything in the mail and this is the first call where somene has called me to talk with me. I was told my bill is online and I owe the money. I again explained what happened and was told that a supervisor would be told about this to see if any fees could be waived. The call center was staffed by all Indian people who I had a hard time understanding. I was told that I needed to call back in 10-14 days to see what decision was made. I asked speak with a supervisor and was never allowed to. I called back 6x and reached a woman who spoke English very well and told me to call back in 3 days. The customer service here is appaulling. A $6 ornament bought in Dec has led to over $47 in fees and Inwas never sent anything about this. once this resolved I will be closing my account.

I am so irritated with Macy's I thought it was important to give customers with outstanding service. Because of the mail service my husband check wasn't received until a day late. I asked customer service if my husband ever had been late before and they said no that he has always paid on time. We asked if they would waiver the late fee and they said that they could only credit half, I then asked so you would lose a good customer who has had a card for several year plus, I have had one for many years also over $12.00 and who spends thousands of dollar every year and he said sorry but the system won't let us. I work for a big department store and we take care of our customers and if they get a late charge they can have one taken off once a year because things happen. I will not purchase or my husband any merchandise ever again from Macy's and I will make sure and let my friends and family and tell them not to purchase there either. We will both close are accounts Macy's doesn't know how to take care of there customers and looking at the reviews I can see others feel the same way. Maybe you should update your system to take better care of your customer so you don't lose out on the thousands of dollars you are losing especially over $12.00. At least I know the company I work for goes all out and gives outstanding customer service.

For a nationwide store that has worldwide recognition, I would be ashamed to have so many 'one star=poor' ratings on my website. Time that management took note and I wonder if they even read their customers' comments. I had a similiar experience to another customer in that I was charged $2.00 interest and was told it was 'past due'. My last statement was in February this year (for January buying) and I paid it in full, which included the $2.00 I am now being charged. On my latest bill, period ending 3/26/11 I get a statement for $2.00 which clearly shows up as interest. I called the corporate office (after first getting a guy in India called Gary! He would only say he was in northern India and would not give me the town or city) and spoke to a nice gentleman who was patient with me and explained why I was being charged the $2.00. He said that it showed up as a 'fee charge' on my January statement but is now an INTEREST charge on my 'period ending March 26th' statement! Despite him explaining the 'why', I still did not really get it (but told him I did just to get the matter settled) and said I would put a check in the mail. He then offered to void the payment which was nice of him. However, I am posting this because, if you multiple my case by hundreds, possibly thousands, of customers, then that adds up to a lot of chunk change. My bill was paid in full but suddenly a 'fee' becomes 'interest' on a later bill even though I did not buy anything after my last purchase which I paid for in FULL. It is the principle here that matters, not the $2.00, and I know a lot of customers will be charged more than the $2.00 as interest, than I was. Macy's reputation has been sullied for me through this experience, and especially since I now realize that they outsource. I do not believe in this practise as it takes jobs away from Americans, but hey - that's a different story!

PLEASE MACY'S WHEN I LOG INTO MY ACCOUNT ONLINE CAN I JUST SEE HOW MUCH I OWE, HOW MUCH IS MY CREDIT LIMIT.CAN YOU IMAGINE I HAVE TO CALL SOMEBODY IN THIS DAY AND AGE TO FIND OUT WHAT IS MY CREDIT LIMIT? YOU LOG INTO YOUR ACCOUNT AND IT IS JUST A WHOLE LOT OF JUNK ON THE PAGE YOU HAVE TO FIGURE WHERE DO I GO TO FIND OUT HOW MUCH IS MY BILL, THAT SHOULD BE HITTING YOU AS SOON AS YOU LOG ON.

Having been a Macy's customer for over 30 years I am very dissatisfied with their customer service in recent months. I bought an expensive watch there and they gave me a gift card instead of money back for it when I brought it back. They mailed me the gift card and it was only for $76.00. The watch was $150.00! After being on the phone with their customer service that is outsourced to India for hours each time I still have not recieved my full refund! They are literally stealing money from people! I will never shope their again and neither will any of my friends or family!

Just found out my $13 is past due for 2 months. Now I have to pay over $61 for a stupid additional 15% discount on $15 of purchase. I called the customer service and explained to them that I have not received any statements for past 2 months, and they told me to check with my postal office. I paid the balance in full and close the account. If you do a google, you will see how many people are the victims of the same credit card past due fraud. DO NOT, NEVER consider their credit card.

bridal dept is the worst the bride was on her honeymoon and macys returned her gifts back to the quest

My boss purchased $25 gift cards for all of the female employees for Christmas. I went to Macy's on March 28th, 2011 in Castleton Square, Indpls, In. to use my gift card. The salesperson was very polite and told me there was a problem with my card and they would investigate it and call me back later. The next day, someone called me and told me that this particular gift card and had never been activated and unless I could get my boss to find the receipt for it that they would not honor it. I would never embarrass myself or my boss by asking her to find a 4 month old receipt for all the gift cards she purchased at Christmastime because the clerk who sold her the cards failed to activate my card. I am out my Christmas gift and I will never shop at Macy's ever again!

I had been a card member with L.S.Ayres since the late 80's. Then they were sold to Lazarus and I continued and then they were sold to Macy's. After years of consistent payments on my charge card; I recieved a bill where my interest charge had been raised to almost 28 percent. When I questioned why; I was informed I had two choices; either continue holding the card and pay the almost 28 percent interest or close the account and be locked into my previous interest. This was real simple, apparently Macy's was not interested in having me as a customer anymore! Kohl's is closer to home and alot cheaper and very happy to have me as a cardholder. Macy's....you leave alot to be desired in the customer service department. My credit score is in the 700's.....do you really think I am desperate or ignorant enough to hold a credit card with 28 percent interest?

I shop at the Macys at Southpoint in Durham nc. I am very disappointed in this Macys. Lack of diversity in the cosmetics and the salespeople are some what professional but not really. The mangement is very snotty...I will shop at the other Macys

My kid (teenager) works for Macy's in back east.Today is 3/25/11; the deadline to do your taxes is when? I'm told when you work for Macy’s you get your w-2, paystubs, etc are online now. When my daughter and I both look it up, they are asking for a payment of $10 bucks! I don’t think so, not when you’re paying my daughter 80 bucks a week. Why should she have to take $10 to pay for something that should of been mailed. I asked me daughter to three-way me with HR on the line to ask about her w-2, she does. HR says oh..call this ph#1-877. My daughter did alone, followed up with me and said those people told her that Macy's is suppose to mail the w-2 out. I called HR early this morning, no answer. I spoke with someone from the Admin dept, she had a attitude like I was asking her to give up her first born! She said she would call me back in 5 mins. Needless to say, I wasn’t hopeful, so I called the IRS. They are sending the employer a "get off your BEEP and get this employee a w-2 now". By the way, my daughter tells me her friend didn’t get one either, I'm wondering is this Macy way of profiting off young students so they don’t have to mail out the w-2's?

Horrible customer service. They screwed up on an order and then sent me a gift card as my refund. I wanted my money back since it was Macys fault. They said they would refund my credit card and now it has been two months and still nothing. I have checked with my bank and nothing is pending. They are holding my money hostage and everytime I call the customer service line, they person I speak to is completely not understandable and does not understand me. They repeat the exact same lines the entire time without actually helping me, reading the notes on the account to understand what has transpired or able to get me any help whatsoever. It has been a nightmare to beg for my money back over a mistake Macys made. Never, ever again will I do business with them

I ordered furniture from Macys back in January two days after I ordered it they were giving a promotion for $300 off and 24 month interest free financing. I called to see if they would allow this promotion for me which they said was fine. A month later they had no record of me calling to get these promotions. I had to fight with the supervisor for an hour. They gave me the 24 month financing but still not $300 credit. I called again for the 3rd time. The lady told me if was being processed and to check back in three weeks. She also gave me a $50 gift card because they messed up so many times. I just got my statement and still have no credit. I called now four times. The guy wayne I dealt with said they would call me back. I still have not heard back from them. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER THING FROM THIS DAMN STORE! MACYS IS OVERRATED! I am also filing a complaint with the better business bureau.

(Just for openers, I see that it is not possible to award zero stars!) I have just received an American Express card from Macy's, totally and completely unsolicited, and unwanted. Their cover letter with the card suggests that I should feel honored to have this card. I complained to Macy's customer service dept., but quickly realized I was speaking to a teflon person in the Far East. Then called the customer service department at Corporate, but the end result was the same, i.e. they cannot explain their policy of forcing these cards on the consumers. But of course, it is very lucrative for them: the poor dummies, who accept the cards and charge on them, are subject to a 25% interest rate on past due balances, as well as huge late fee charges, and that is precisely how the banks make their money. Consumers unite, we have got to get better regulations.

I'm very upset that one of the Federated chain's stores, Dillards in Texas is sponsoring a fashion show and breakfast supporting an anti choice group there. Until I learn that these events are no longer happening I will not be using my Macy's charge card. I would like the corporate office to address this concern. And I'm telling all my friends to also boycott Macy's.

I Have purchased about 10K worth of furniture from Macy's, which was all delivered to my home. Now a replacemnet mattress was supposed to be delivered to me today and it ended up at my old billing address. My whole weekend was rearranged for this delivery that never happened. None of my furniture was EVER delivered to that old address so why would they deliver replacement furniture there? Bad business....

I just got my statement today with a balance of $2.92 for interest. I paid my bill in full before the due date and they still tacked on interest until the statement date. I called but all I got was some girl who seemed to be reading from a script. I told her I was not paying it. How can I owe interest from the payment date to the statement date. It is not the money involved but the principle - if this is how they are going to bill then I will not be a customer any more. Their loss not mine.

I would give you a zero if I could! I've called as of today 9 times since January, inquiring about my mail tender which was supposed to be issued to me back in december! Not only do you guys not mail them out,you don't have the decency to return my calls, nor does your coorporate office handle customer issues. I just called and got transferred to some store which transferred me to the same customer serivce dept i called earlier without resolution. You have horrible employees who are rude when returning gifts...and you don't refund money as you should! what you have done is stolen from me. SEND ME MY MAIL TENDER!!!!!!!!!!!!
