GREAT!!!!
i was at Harbor East Baltimore MD. i came to get some things due to me forgeting my makeup bag at home. And i need something really quick for this event i was attending. And Nadia helped me out. she was great found the right color foundation and quick pant pots for me to create a quick glamor look for the night. also the lip color she picked was everthing to die for cuase i can wear it in the day or at night wit the lip pencil she suggested. i spent about close to 150$ but it was well worth it and she was so personable.
Customer Service at Pentagon city
A couple of weeks ago I stopped by the Mac make up counter in Macy's in Pentagon City Mall. The customer service I received was horrible. I was told that if they did my make up for me they would have to for everyone else. Which I understand to a certain extent. But I had special circumstances as to why I needed at least a trial make up consultation. I danced with the President of the United States during the Commander and Chiefs Ignauagral ball and wanted to look my best and I thought MAC would be able help me. Needless to say that didn't happen and I have decided I will never use MAC again.
Awesome experience
I was with two ladies in Daytona beach Macy's and had the best experience ever. The staff explained everything in detail and were extremely friendly. Not just cause I was dressed nice either! Maybe the lady below should dress up more! Thank you Mac.
Monroeville Macys Mac
I went into M.A.C to purchase a lipstick and the man working was so rude to me. He was so pushy and kept trying to make me purchase other items, all I wanted was a lipstick, he made another employee ring me out, I heard him say to the other employee im not ringing her shes only getting one thing I cant hurt my numbers! This is so disrespectful! I will never go in there again.
Horrible customer service at the MAC in Lenox Mall (Macy's)...
I would much prefer giving this MAC (the one inside Macy's at Lenox Mall in ATL, GA) zero stars if I could because they were just THAT horrible. My sister and I walked in and there were about four sales associates (one was applying on makeup for a client-but in actuality she was paying more attention to herself in the mirror-and one was just leaving her shift). Although I was perusing around, I already knew what I wanted. There were two other sales associates and one went to that back exclaiming, "We'll be right with you ladies," meaning that the last one was at the cash register ringing someone up. So... my sister and I patiently waited. Some more customers walked in and the lady who walked to the back came out and asked her colleague at the cash register, "Who did you want me to help?" As I was looking around, my sister noticed that the lady at the cash register shook her head when the lady pointed to help us (literally appalled at how rude she was). So instead of helping us (even though we clearly were there first), she went over to help the other customers. Finally, the lady at the cash register finished ringing up her customer and walked up to ask me (in a not-so-friendly way) if I needed any help (wow really?). At this point the look of disgust on my face (and my sister's) was quite apparent as I told her I already knew what I wanted. When I asked for the strobe cream, she mentioned there were two different types to see if I had a preference. I didn't know what the difference was so I asked her if she could enlighten me on that and she gave me the laziest reply ever (she was quite disinterested in helping me, really). By the time I got to the cash register I was truly contemplating on whether or not I should give her problems because of how truly horrible my experience was there. I honestly believe that she gave me a hard time because of my appearance. I am a full-time college student who doesn't have a lot of free time so I wasn't exactly looking my best (no make-up, messy hair, and comfy/lazy attire)... but how dare she judge my appearance? Did she really think I wasn't going to be a paying customer (or did I look like I couldn't afford the make-up there)? This is the 21st century... get with it people! This isn't the first time I have been treated this way at a MAC counter... I've had some other unpleasant experiences where sales associates have given me strange looks and were unwilling to assist me. I am seriously contemplating about not shopping at MAC counters anymore and contacting HQ in order to tell them that they have such shoddy employees who are judgmental, vain, and rude!
damged my skin
for the first time i tried mac foundatoin, it was face and body in light , i was so happy to try it i came home put it on and fell in love, i put some on the next day and a few hour later my face was fire red, like a chemical burn, i am in pain anf my face burns and itches, its been 3 days and i went to doctors she gave cream, my face is still in pain and i look terrible
Today will be my last M.A.C. product pickup. I will be recycling my last six products. Due to a rude manager, I will no longer purchase from M.A.C.
Just got home from the MAC stand at Newpark Mall in California and was completely ignored, by who I think, was the manager. I stood there like an idiot for 5 minutes while she stapled papers behind the counter and said NOTHING. Guess I am done shopping there and will stick with Urban Decay at Ulta.
I am a larger women, I just feel M.A.C. stores need yo have at least one wider chair for larger women. When I go get my make-up done, I have to stand , for I feel insecure sitting on those chairz. I feel you would target another kind of client tell. Thank you
Just the worst customer service anywhere! So sad to see a company I grew up with turn into a greedy corporation who have forgotten what made them unique back in the day! I hear the silent whispers of,keep ur money if u dont like it! So I will!!
A loyal customer for 16yrs,travelled the globe working in music and fashion, and never had to deal with such bad customer service ever! And to the MAC rep in another comment above saying that there make up artists who shud not be expected to be good in customer service skills,Well that seems to be the problem right there! Is that what MAC finishing school teaches u?? Bcos in any busy Ive done, the customer is the most important part of my sucess! Withouut there constant support, profit seldom comes! I went to 125th street to purchase a tone of make up,since I hadnt been in a while,I thought I wud splurge, but that notion got washed away within the 1st 20 mins! I came in and a guy made up like Boy George(nice make up)was the 1st person I saw,he was doing nothing(and wanted to continue to do nothing)so I asked for help, explained what I wanted,he walked over to the item pointed at it,then walked away! lol He then pulled the old give me a min whilst I pretend to be busy move. A lady came over and ask if I needed help,I said yes,she then pulled what I asked for(it seems you have to know urself)and applied a lil to my hand whilst engaging in rather not at work conversation with the guy who was too busy to serve me,it was like I wasnt there! As the clock ticked its nearly time for me to leave, she got bored of my questions and her role was done as MAC rep for the day and off she went! Once again the guy busyed himself with non paying customers, just there to browse(the 1s they talk about being time wasters)and I made my way to the desk! What an idiot I was, thinking there might be 1 pro in the building, nope, back to square 1! Now I was subjected to sighs for every question and finger pointing to what I maybe looking for! I grew bored and went to SEPHORA who took great pride in showing me all the new stuff available and even gave me samples, which MAC used to do but like there people skills, alas no more! I dont know if snyone from MAC cares what we think, but you better cos we the consumer keep you guys alive! Without us all those big money promos you do wud not be possible! You need to get back to Old MAC days cos you guys are seriously failing in a time where there so many competitors launching affordable make up with great people skills!! So sad!!! Ive grown up with MAC,but I think weve grown apart!!!
shannon- mgr in las vegas nv. is an idiot!!!! Terrible service!!!!!!!!!!!1
mac are to expencive
I am so upset in the way I have been treated by MAC representatives. I began using MAC cosmetics in 1993, when I was working at Nordstrom. Recently I went into a Macy's store for the 6 item recycle for a free lipstick offer that I've been doing for over a decade. When I submitted my 6 recycled MAC packages the MAC representative told me that one of the items was a "counterfeit" product. In the past 19 years, I have only purchased my MAC cosmetics at Nordstrom or Macy's stores. So, if it were a counterfeit product, it was originally purchased from a Macy's store. The saleswoman, stated "out loud" that I was trying to deceive them in front of many customers. She called for another saleswoman to come over to verify the packaging. She also stated "out loud" that I was trying to exchange a counterfeit package (remember there are 6 packages to exchange for 1 lipstick). After leaving, I immediately called the MAC headquarters to report the incident. They took my information and told me I would need to send the product package back to them in an envelope they would mail to me. For my embarrassment, they offered to send me a new product of the one in question. Which I was grateful for. They asked for my address, and I gave them my home address. A few days later, I received the envelope to send the product package to them, which I did immediately. About 3 weeks later, I received a note from FEDEX on my door stating that I needed to sign for the delivery - in person. I work over an hour away from my home and I am never home during delivery hours. I called the MAC headquarters to have them change the delivery to either my work address (which it should have been sent to originally if the first person had asked if I'm home during day times) or no signature required. At this time I also inquired about the authenticity of the package I submitted and in my notes it stated that the product was in fact authentic! The MAC customer service told me I had to call FEDEX to change the delivery. I called FEDEX, who told me MAC had to make the change. I called back MAC and the customer service person argued with me, that I had to make the change even though I kept telling her that I'd spoken to FEDEX and they require the sender to make the changes. Each call I've made to MAC and to FEDEX, I was placed on hold 5 - 20 minutes before even talking to a person. I have literally wasted about 2 hours time at this point over a $32 product delivery that I have never received. I am beyond irritated with MAC at this point. The last conversation I had with FEDEX, I told them to return the product to MAC!!! What a waste of time
I'm getting pretty upset about MACs continually changing their product line. Why do they drop the products that their most loyal customers like? Worst of all - they replace it with poor quality homogenous color options that don't do what MAC is known for - perfect, flawless matches that create warmth. MAC was known for beautifil flawless matches with warm color nuances that made women radiant and natural looking all at once. Now you get "cakey", drying out makeup that's noticeable because it's always a little too light or dark to be a true match. What a shame! All to introduce some neon crap that no one else but a cheap show girl would wear? I don't want to look like Nikki Menage or Christina Aguillera I want the beautiful elegant flawless MAC look that matches and warms my skin color. Presently you offer 3 options - light, dark or ridiculous showgirl make up. Your marketing strategy is flawed. Stay loyal to the products that won your customers over (especially foundation / face powder color since that does not change) and they will stay loyal to you. After all these years I am preparing to go with another cosmetic company that promises to match me perfectly - using a mac product that used to be available (laughable). You're practically sending your competitors your customers. How does that make sense?? And stop chasing trends - mineralized make up etc. Be the leader - consistently offering superior products will always win out. Who's in charge at your company? How do you not know that?
I spent over 65 dollars for 4 items from Mac, it arrived within 4 days so I was very pleased with the shipping. It was my first time ever using Mac and I was very excited to receive my order. However, upon using the products my excitement level quickly dropped! The brow liner chipped and broke off as I was applying for the first time. I had to twist it up more 3 times and that was just applying to one eyebrow, the color was much darker than it looked on-line or even on the end of the cap. It didn't go on evenly, very chalky almost like charcoal it looked terrible. The eyeliner, did not break off but being a roll up kind I expected it to glide on much smoother than a pencil. I felt like I needed to light the end of it with a lighter like we did in high school with the old pencil kind! Very dry and not smooth looking at all!! On to the two shades of eyeshadow that I purchased. Although they looked the same as what I wanted in the package, when applied was very faint and had to apply several times to get close to the color I wanted and for 15 dollars a piece.....tiny little package! At this rate I will be out very quickly. All of the products seemed very dry, brittle and hard to apply. I expected Mac to be of very high quality but was extremely disappointed! If you are purchasing Mac for any reason other than the name.......dont bother! Go to your local drugstore, Target or Walmart and buy some Revlon! Its cheaper and much much better than Mac!
I love MAC and all thier products...but everytime I ask for samples the worker there never gives them to me! Sometimes when im undecided about something workers (at sephora, chanel, bobbi brown, etc.) give me samples so i can try them out! but not MAC...it made me so mad!
I can see why the problems. There stupid - Sad - They do not even know how to spell: See below - awful. This women will hire another stupid person... it will continue to get worse. I went to Mac a week ago to go pick up some make and I honestly waited their for some one to help me but no one came Andes I decided to walk around the mall for a little and come back when they are not bussy. By the way I was the Mac counter in the Macy's in the inland center mall in San.bernardino ca. So I came back like 15 minutes later and I stand their for 5 minutes then finally this girl came and ask me if I needed help and she stared to help but honestly it wasn't so much help I was asking her if they had any foundation for oily skin and she tells me no witch it's weird because a month ago i had went and they had told me their is one for oily skin. Then I ask her if she could match me again in skin color and I kinda go and tell her that I don't want a super orange color that I want a more fit color to my face and she makes me pick like hello you are the professional her put it on my face and have me choice witch one I like Better then from what she picked omg I got home and I tried it on an omg I look like a ghost honestly I am like pitch white. Not cool. So know since I lost my receipt and every thing I have to stay with a color she suggested was my color and buy a new one. Like really. Man it's kinda sad you know.
I was visiting Rancho Mirage, California and wanted assistance with choosing the correct make-up for me. I was directed to The River at Rancho Mirage and had an appointment with Roni McIntyre who was most professional and knew exactly what I needed. He applied the correct make-up and assisted me in applying the choices. He clearly knows what he's doing and is so personable with his knowledge. I intend to order from him in the future; in fact, have already reordered since my visit. What an artist!!!! He's wonderful.
