How many managers does each store have . WE purchased a Husquarva riding lawn mower about one month ago and It broke the second time my husband tried to use it . It has less than 8 hours cutting time on it . I called the store in Victoria Tx and told them to come pick it up that I did not buy something that I could not use . The lawn tractor cost 2200.00 They assured me they would be out today 3-24 to pick it up but after called 3 times and speaking to 3 managers and another employee I was told I never got on the pick up list now they say tomorrow by 10 . I am wondering if that will be am or pm . I told the young lady tonight if they were here in the morning by 10 I am calling cooperate and chewing the CEO a new one and I mean it . I live on a fixed income and can not afford to lose 2200.00. I doubt very seriouly I will return to Lowes for anything else .
I can not beleive this one on Sunday my mom and dad went into the Lowes store in Warrington Pa to get paint. This bully in the Paint dept started yelling at my 80 yr old mom. My mom started to cry and was very upset and he did nothing the guys name is Gary and i heard alot of people complaning about him the guy is a big mounth and I can not beleive he is still working for lowes i also found out he has been there for years. how could lowes have a big bully, nasty and ugly person working there I have no respect for any mananger that allows this to happen. They need to get rid of this guy before they have a law suite on their hands.
We purchased a home in Estero, Florida and have made numerous purchases at the Lowes on Corkscrew Rd. We went there this morning to buy an outdoor blind for the lanai. We waited 10 minutes for a salesperson to come and help us place the order. No one came. My husband then hit the "Help" button, still no one came. We have now been there for 15 minutes. I go to the Customer Service desk and ask for assistance. The girl at the desk said she would page a manager to come back to help us. After another 10 minutes, no one came. I have never encountered such poor customer service, and believe me I do a lot of shopping. I again went to the customer service desk and by now the girl could see I was very irritated. She asked someone there with her if they could find someone to help me. No one came. I finally told them at the desk that I would take my business elsewhere, thanked the one girl who did try to help and walked out. The service was pathetic. After reading all the negative reviews I truly wonder if customer service is really as important to Lowes as they claim. I won't hold my breath.
Lowes Corp will not help any customer or employee that has a issue with its store or managers. They will take all they can from their employees. I think the managers are brain washed into not caring about anything other than "LOWES", because I know from 1st hand experience how they treat their employees, and unless they let you into their little klick(s). If you're not in, forget it you dont stand an chance in hell of exceeding with that company. The favoriteism is just ungodly. Glad I got the chance to "get out" when I did, making more $$$ than I ever would've working for that so called company, and happier than I have been in a long time. So if you happen to work for this company "I'm Sorry", maybe you can find a way out SOOOON!!!!!!
I purchased a washer and dryer on Wed. morning and arranged to have it delivered on Mon. morning. 2:30pm Mon. I call to see when it would be delivered and was told they didn't have the dryer that we purchased. A sales associate called and informed me that they did have a dryer but it had scratches and dents on it and asked if I wanted it. Since we had been using a friends' dryer and they wanted it back I said yes BUT I'd better get some of my money back because it was not pristine. I was offered a 10% discount which I accepted but I have to go to Lawton, Ok. (the store I bought them from) and pick it up. I live an hour away. I am not impressed with Lowe's and will probably not purchase ANYTHING from there again.
lowes in south charleston west virginia are a bunch of liars! We bought custom window coverings for two rooms and paid for the install. We were told that when the material came to our door to call for the install. We went to Lowes when the material arrived and told them it was in. This was last week Tuesday.Now over a week later on Friday they call to ask if I want to schedule the install. They said they didn't schedule it when we were at the store over a week prior (even though they lied to me and said it was scheduled)because they assumed I would call back. I guess they don't like people coming into the store. Just call instead. Guess where we are NOT going to get our carpeting and deck materials as well as anything else for our home we just purchased.
I was at Lowes here in Seattle Rainier So. store 02/28/2012 at the check out with my daughter and family when the assitant store manager came out of the office,called the lady into the office, then he came out called an off duty Seattle police officer and the officer posted himself across from the check out from us looking directally at us! now I find out that the store manager ask the officer to watch us! how can we steal any thing that we are paying for??? my daughter paid over $1500 dollars at Lowes just to be DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BY A MANAGER with a RACIST ATTITUDE!! This could have gotten out of hand by having an off duty armed Policeman involved in a RACIST FEELING!! Please becareful when you are shooping at Lowes in Seattle, Washington if you are a Black person!!! I will never SHOP AT A LOWES HARDWARE STORE!! Iam very UPSET AND DISTRUBED ABOUT THIS situation! this 2012 and we are still being discriminated against! I am a Vietnam Veteran and this how I am still treated in America!!" WAKE UP AMERICA"!! I return from a 7 month deployment from the Newest Carrier, also I fought in Iraq and Afghanstan, but upon returning to my last duty station before I retire of 20 faithful service to this Country, I applied for Seasonal Position for the Lowes on Military Highway in Norfolk, Virginia. I went thru 2 interviews in which the Human Resource Manager who must work like 2 days a week and must be a fake Assistant Manager who said we will call you on Friday or Monday latest about the job. I waited for a couple of days then upon calling up, I couldn't get the Human Resource manager because she never answers her phone, and when I call back they called me baby and said oh which store manager did you want to talk to then hang up. For Stock Holders I would not invest in this store who treats their Veterans as Poor Trash, and the skills from the employees at this location need to be trained on phone manners. This company is poorly manage and eventually I hope it catches up with them for them to fail, because they treat people like trash. Stock Holders take out your money or demand that the CEO start training people right, and rember its customers that keep Stock Holders happy with cash in there wallets. This company needs a good Airspeed Event done on as well a very helpful customer service ttaining to be successful, are they will soon be like Radio Shack. Have alot of stock but no one to buy from them.
I went into the store in Kansas city on sterling to purchase several items. I needed some help lifting a water heater onto a cart. A man came by and I asked for assistance he responded he did not work in that area but would get someone. I waited at least 10 minutes and no one arrived. I then found their call for help button and it rang and rang and no one ever showed up. I then went by customer service to let them know and the young lady working said Well ma'am maybe they are just really busy. At that I left the store and I will not go back. I promise you that.
We are very disappointed in the most recent service we have received from Lowe's in West Des Moines Iowa, 50Th St location. We have been given the run around with our most recent purchase and due to their inability to deliver. Originally we set up delivery date of Saturday the 25Th, then we received a call the day before and were informed that they only deliver in our area on Monday's, so then I was told they would deliver it this coming Monday the 27Th. My wife took the day off to be able to meet them as well as change an appointment for our daughter as they could not give us a more detailed time then from 12-5. By 4pm today my wife was concerned as we had heard nothing from them yet. I then called and finally after twenty minutes was contacted back and informed that my freezer was going to be delivered on March 5TH. This is not except-able as we have already been jerked around and I very frustrated with the loss on money and time we have had to go through, not to mention being denied the 10% military discount. At the time we checked out we showed our Military ID and were told we received it after getting home and reviewing my receipt they only took .30 cents off, not quite 10% considering I spent $800. My wife called in and was told to bad she left the store and would not receive it. I am highly disappointing with our most recent experience. Everyone in charge does not seem to be capable, nor do they have good customer service. We have always been Lowe's shoppers, but may start to look else ware for better customer care. I will give credit to their customer service line though, the women my wife spoke to seemed to want to make things right as quick as possible.
I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH LOWES EVER AGAIN!! Two months ago I bought a sink from Lowes in Mt. Dora, FL. My boyfriend used his Credit card to pay for it as I realized I had no checks in my checkbook. When it was time to install the sink, the sink was defective. I returned the sink to Lowes in Tampa, where I live. I was given a store cash credit card for the sink; which I accepted because I was going to buy another sink. Sink number two, did not fit and I tried to return it. The return manager refused to give me back my money. Instead they would only give me a Lowes card with a 241 dollar credit BECAUSE I HAD BOUGHT THE LAST SINK WITH THEIR CARD!!. I told the manager that I had no intentions of buying anything from LOWES EVER AGAIN!! I FEEL LIKE THIS COMPANY HAS SCREWED ME OUT OF 241 DOLLARS SINCE THEY WON'T GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY!! MY NEXT STEP: CORPORATE OFFICES. I HATE THIS F#$$% STORE!!
YUKON,OKLAHOMA location: We live over 2 hours west of this location, it is the nearest one to western oklahoma. We have made many purchases at this location and have had nothing but wonderful customer service. UNTIL this past monday, a store manager, Gayron Allen needs to take further CUSTOMER SERVICE training and I wish the show: UNDERCOVER BOSS would show up at his location with Lowes CEO. Need I say more? I am writing a letter of my experience to the CORPORATE OFFICE and I hope it is acknowledged. And something is done in follow up with "this" one of many store managers. And to add insult to injury, when I called to inquire about the location of the Corporate office, I was given a phone number to call: 888 44-LOWES. Their number has changed. That number now belongs to a company called: Assist 123. NOT LOWES! And they were rude, obviously tired of getting the LOWES calls! I don't recommend Assist 123 either at this point! What a week it has been for customer service! LOWES needs to make sure they have their info updated with their employees. Doesn't that fall under the MANAGER category? Me thinks it does!!! It seems the Corporate office is more interested in putting ALL their employees on hourly pay and cutting the commission benefit as an employee to do as any business in these economic times....and I don't fault them for that...what I do fault them for is that if MORE attention is paid to CUSTOMER SERVICE, they would not loose the amount of money I am SURE they have and maybe that bottom line would look better as a company as a whole?! Just another: "Me thinks it would!" comment..............
I had to give a letter to the lowes manager and then they had to give it to corporate to say yes to because I was doing an eagle scout project so I was going to ask for some donations but since the manager is busy i had to give the letter to one of the employies trusting that the letter was going to get to the manager and corporate in a couple of weeks about six weeks is what I was tod that it would take it's been maore then six weeks and I never heard any response i even put my phone number and emil adress so that they could contact me.I'm very disopointed in what happen i thought i could trust a letter to get to the manager.
Lowes Stores Just like all other retail stores do not install slide in ranges because you run into different issues if customers have installed ceramic floors it raises top to high to level. If floor is un level or the countertop is un level then extra steps need to be made to ensure top if flat top will not crack to do uneven pressure. Sorry you were not informed of this at time of purchase. Some older model slide in models can be hard wired and new models are set to standard that if built before 1996 are 3 prong cords after are 4 prong cords due to building codes. Having a detail will prevent any issues and make sure you will not any problems and models ordered will work. Most companies charge a price of 110.00 to install and detail fee of 35.00 & any extra cost to up date or cuts to make it fit. hope this will help you from over knowledged under paid employee.
Several years back I was shopping for a new refridgerator. I chose Lowes in Rincon, Ga. as I did not have the time to drive 40 miles into Savannah. Being me, I was looking at a price range of $700.00. But then I saw a Whirlpool Gold side by side, bottom freezer, ice and water in door and ice maker in upper left corner of the unit itself. Almost $2000.00!!!! It was (I guess) too early for Appliance associates to be at work. The store opened at 7am and it was 8am. The associate who assisted me informed me it was not his dept. but would assist as well as he could. I asked several questions, checked out the floor model and decided I wanted it. I hope this associate was able to receive the big spiff Lowes offers to their appliance associates. (TOO MUCH) I was a former employee of Lowes and since my departure I have spent over 75G on merchandice during a major remodel and add on project to my home. Back to the Whirlpool Gold fridge, The ice maker has been a thorn in my side since day one!! I called for a service call, he stated that all I had to do was "PUNCH" the icemaker ever so often to break up the cubes which were freezing together!! Second service call, well the plastic flap is bad (????), and replaced it. Third service call, the replaced flap was installed wrong and came loose. Fourth service call, plastic flap bad!! (replaced). Fifth service call, started working properly, said he could not fix it if it was working correctly!!!! Contacted the Lowes manager, avised me to contact Wirlpool. Which I did. Was told to have servicemen contact their wirlpool rep.!! Sixth service call, plastic flap is bad!! (replaced again) Was told their was no reason to contact whirlpool rep. after the third service call I requested that the icemaker just be replaced, was told to contact whirlpool!!! In simple terms it was stated that this was a VENDOR issue not WHIRLPOOL!!!! Well it has been working correctly for a few months until today. After working all week I come home on Friday eve. to NO ICE and a frozen comglomerent of ice in the tray!!! Not only has Lowes been removed from my "HOME IMPROVMENT WHSE." Whirlpool also will not gain from my hard earned $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Wish I had made the drive to Savannah!! Sears or HH Gregg, thats where to go for appliances and unsurpassed continued service!!! Good-bye Lowes and Depot, the local lumber and improvment center has far better prices and customer service. I am giving Lowes customer service a #1 poor because they don't have a rating lower. I bought appliances from Lowes about 1.5 years ago. During the purchase I was told that they would deliver them with the kitchen cabinets I bought. I paid and a week before delivery I was call to confirm my order. The night before the delivery Lowes called and reminded me that out delivery was the next day. They showed up and did not have my stove or dishwasher. They were back ordered even though the said they had them. It took six weeks to solve the problem. Now I need a new glass top and again called Lowes and was told the top would be delivered in two weeks. It never came. I called and was told it would be delivered in one week. I was shocked and call customer service. They informed me that the top was not being shipped until a few days after the time they said it would. I find that Lowes can be truthful and the more people you speak to the more lies they tell. I'm done. I suggest people use Home Depot or someone else. Lowes is doing its best to kill customer service one person at a time.
I have been shopping at Lowe's for many many years and have spent quite a sum of money there. I WILL NOT be shopping there anymore!! We bought a Whirlpool Refrigerator on January 20,2012. When it was delivered, it was missing 2 of the bins for the door, (there was one bin in there that did not belong to this refrigerator). I went to Lowes and told them my problem. Two weeks later I called and asked where my bins were. The man from the appliance dept. told me that all of the people in the appliance dept was aware that I was waiting for these and as soon as they came in, they would call. A week and a half later I went to Lowes and asked about my bins and inform them that the refrigerator was now leaking from the back into the freezer. The man in the appliance dept had no idea what I was talking about. He said he would have to call everyone who works in the appliance dept (at home) to see who know about this. He found one who said that ,indeed, yes, I was waiting for the bins. He told him to go and take bins from another refrigerator and give them to me. They were brought to me and I told him that , again, they were the wrong bins and would not fit. He seemed a little disgusted that I would not take them home and try them. Told me to come back on Friday and he would order them for me. He said, as far as the leak, I would have to call a service repair man to come and fix it. I told him to just give me a new refrigerator with bins and no leaks., He said No. We called whirlpool and they said that the refrigerator was manufactured in 2010 and is out of warranty!!!! We have been going round and round with them for 2 days now with no success. This is the worst treatment I have ever gotten from an appliance store. They have def lost all my business and the business of my friends.
I purchase vinyl siding for my home that was to be installed by Lowes. Because it was an insurance claim I asked could the siding be purchased and installed for the same dollar amount as the check that the insurance company gave us. I was told yes. I then purchased gutters and down spouts to be installed after the house had been wrapped in vinyl siding. I was given a siding installation start date of the Tuesday after the Super Bowl. As part of our agreement I would be responsible for removing the aluminum siding already on our home to keep the cost affordable for me. I was led to believe that if I took the siding down on Monday the new siding would be started on Tuesday. When our Lowes rep called he was informed that the work would now start nine days later than previously planned. After we removed the aluminum siding we discovered that we have open gables in out attic, and since work was delayed 9 days and snow was scheduled to arrive in the next day or two I called our Lowes rep. He informed us that there was nothing they could do. After a passionate discussion Lowes said they would send someone to cover the gables. Also because there are open gables there would be an additional charge of approx. $200. After the contractor came out and covered the open gables my wife received a call 3 days later and was informed that we now owed an additional $830, instead of the $200 quoted. After we were able to reconcile on the additional cost it is now been 10 days and work has yet to start. We have been given 3 start dates and still nothing. My wife is worried that if we complain the contractor will a less then quality job. Our Gahanna, Ohio inspectors have stopped by twice now. We keep explaining that Lowes keeps rescheduling. We are at wits end! I just received a call from the contractor saying they plan to start tomorrow ( it’s forecast to rain all day tomorrow).
Problems, problems, problems! If you want to know why you are not getting amazing service at your WEST MARIETTA GA location on Dallas hwy, here are a few things to think about... The store manager Bruce will write employees up for petty things, then something that might qualify for a write up you automatically get a final notice. Then you as an employee are sopossed to come to work on your scheduled days and be perfect by walking on egg shells. Then when your store manager and assistant see you ONE day and your not in the best of moods, you then get " " talked to about how your down all the time and how your on a final notice and need to straighten up. From this point on your final notice will be mentioned all the time in front of other employees customers and even your family. It's funny how the store manager can over look relationships going on between managers and co workers and refuse good employees of achieving goals of moving up in the company. This isn't just one employee this is a few within the store, they are being put down and over looked when there is no reason why they shouldn't move up... But there is more to it, you apply for a position that you are completely qualified to do however the store manager who worked for Home Depot for numerous years, and he has a former home depot buddy that he would rather give that position. So even though you've been at lowes worked your hardest and have customers coming back to see you, well your just not good enough to move up. Or... You've been doing your job and doing it right for a few years however your store manager just doesn't get the vibe that your doing all you can and well there's your write up! Once you get that final your gone, good luck... Side note: This is interesting most company's will pay a spiff to employees so they bend over backwards to help sell you appliances, it's that willing to pay more for amazing service kinda thing. Well that's out the door they are going to try to get the best deals now from the manufacturer to pass on to the customer and take away and ensintives to help sell the product, which for some people was the reason for over looking true things going on within the store. Since you were making a little extra money you can put up with a little more crap..... So hers your moment to think.... You have good employees walking on egg shells and bad employees not giving a hoot (where are there write ups and final notices?) mixed in under one big favoritism game inside a little community called lowes of west Marietta rulled by Bruce who had previous YEARS at your competitor Home Depot. I can only speak for this lowes as this one is the one I go to. There are great people at this store, that will bend over backward to help you! I'm not wanting you to stop going I just want you to see where the people are that are helping you out. I know if I had to go to work and tip toe on egg shells i'd be miserable, so when you get great service call corporate let them know so when these people get fired for petty crap maybe corporate will get involved and help these employees out. But that's a big maybe... All from a concerned customer who would like to see this store on a better track. It has lots of potential in a great community!
As a long and loyal Lowes customer I have to say I will be taken my business to The Home Depot store. The reason for this change is because on 3/15/2012 I found an item on line with the price of $105.63 but when I got to the store they said it was a mistake with the online price and there was nothing that could be done about it. My understanding is that if you print or mark something with a price you have to honor that price. After receiving the run around no one gave me a direct answer or even the price that I found online the manager was rude and of no assistance(the store locations is 671 Van Drive Jackson TN 38305). I called the 1-800-445-6937 number and they said nothing could be done it was a price error, this is not fair to any customer that finds an item online or even in the store and cannot get it at the price that was set I do not care whose fault it was it should have been handled and not just brushed aside. The Corporate office said if it was a price error then that is exactly what it was an error and nothing would be done about it. So to the rude management and corporate office I say so long you do not value me and my family as customers or people!
