If I could have selected "NO" star, I would have. The management should be ashamed. If it wasn't for the proximity to the San Antonio River Walk, they would be out of business. First, I would like to know at the point of making a reservation that the hotel allows dogs (BIG DOGS) to stay. I do not want to sleep in a bed after a dog has slept in it. I also have allergies to pet dander. The rooms (I had two rooms) not vacuumed, the linen not clean, the lobby area filthy. No workers visibly cleaning in common areas and the floors were gritty. In 1996, Hotel "6" was the last hotel that I stayed in that was this bad....La Quinta is off my list of hotels for life. This experience had a very negetive effect on our family reunion.
Hopefully you will NEVER make the bad choice to stay in La Quinta ANYWHERE in Orlando, FL but if you do and if you have problems, forget reaching anyone for resolution! Calling LQ Guest Services is a JOKE. Contact the Regional Manager direct. His name is Brad Seehafer and his office phone is (407) 679-2005 and his cellular is (407) 857-9215. Good luck! He is the biggest loser!
I stayed at the La Quinta in Boerne Texas back in Feb. of this year, i was there to visit my mother who also works at this location. First of all my mother booked the room for me and was to be given the employee rate of 45.00 a night, however i was charged the regular rate. Secondly the manager there Does Not check the rooms to make sure that they are sell ready. I found broken glass in the bathroom floor under the sink(i have a 4 year old)so this is not my idea of paying for a room that cost me 90.00 a night. On my way out that day i spoke with the manager myself told her about the broken glass and she said she would take care of it. When i returned back to the room the glass was still in the bathroom floor and at this point i went to the front desk where the manager was and ended up in a confrintation about the broken glass that she did not clean up. I got one night refunded to me. All in all i would recomend that no one stay there because the rooms arent cleaned to be sell ready. I found other things wrong in the room on stay as well just not as important as the broken glass. This really bothered me since i work at a hotel as well and would never sell a room like that to any one
Years ago I stayed at a LaQuinta Inn and it was a -0 ... just awful. But coming from Florida to Michigan I decided to give it one more chance and went to the La Quinta Inn and Suites Indianapolis South on Victory Drive. What a difference. This was truly a 5 star hotel. The rooms (we had two) were the cleanest I have ever stayed at. The King size beds and bedding would make Martha Stewart jealous. The hospitality, staff, food, free full breakfast and facilities were all top notch. Both Alex and Irma who were at the desk at check in / out could not have been more wonderful. I definitely would recommend this particular La Quinta to anyone even the POTUS whom I did not vote for nor will I ever, but his OFFICE demands the best and this is the best.
Tulare La Quinta: The manager, Helder, is quite a nice accommodating man, (and a spiffy dresser!) He is conscientious in resolving any issue that may happen at his Hotel, I believe he PERSONALLY attends to these matters, and I really like that feeling that HE really does care! He and I have talked about the breakfast, and would rather not even have it as being available, and I have told him so. I will still stay there, but not again in the LaQuinta Downtown Sacramento on Jibboom St., as the Manager there speaks out of two sides of his mouth and does not have any follow-through when you leave his office! His name is Farid Sherzai. I will direct the reader to my next comment on this forum about his remedy for very poor internet connections! I am sufficiently convinced that LaQuinta DOES offer WiFI, but they dont say how it is not able to handle but only a few computers on at a time...this is critical when travelling to have internet access, but it has to be able to handle many computers at a time! Thank you for this opportunity!
Manager Farid Sherzai told me he would find out the problem with the lack of internet access capability at hid Downtown Sacramento Hotel.I no longer tolerate standard answers as resolution to problems where I spend my money! He emailed me once with a standardized answer, then no response to the issue of my complaint: If you need internet access when you travel to keep in touch with your family and friends: DO NOT GO TO LA QUINTA ANYWHERE FOR THAT REASOn! They are merely a run-of-the-mill hotel system across the USA. Yes they ADVERTISE they have WiFi, but dont say how poorly it can only take a few computers at a time!!! I say this because I EVEN REPLACED MY AIRPORT CARD ON MY APPLE COMPUTER BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE! Well.like they advertise they have food for breakfast, they do not say how down right BAD their food is! The food is not worth it! So, I don't know what Corporate will say about my post, but their internet access capability is absolutely poor, and I have HAD THIS PROBLEM AT ALL OF THE LAQUINTAS I HAVE STAYED!!! It is soooo cheap to provide decent internet access AND I ALREADY TRUSTED THEIR OPINION THAT MAYBE IT WAS MY COMPUTER: That was a lie! Go somewhere else, unless the intent of corporate is to make things better with me! Thank You, and Mr. Farid Sherzai you must be held accountable for what comes out of your mouth and the absence of caring truthfullness behind it! Vertical Man
two dogs in adjoing room kept me awake for three nights. HOTELS WHO TAKE PETS ARE NOW OFF MY LIST!! Not to mention that pets carry ticks, fleas and parasites. You want to sleep in a hotel where the dogs and cats share my room...GO FOR IT! NOT ME!!
Was just on hold for nearly 10 minutes attempting to have my Returns number validated. Listen to how wonderful the new lobbies are....too bad I won't be seeing them this trip.
La quinta in N Myrtle Beach SC address 1601B hwy 17. Was awful, bags of garbage beside dumpster weeks old.....room was awful, mold around toilet and tub, stains on floor, ceiling falling down, toilet paper holder rusted and awful, toilet seat was falling off. The bed had cig burns and this was a non smoking hotel. overall place nasty, floors sticky and the worst stay ever. Your add says 100% guarantee satified or full refund.. I paid $87.44 my name and address: Theresa Rutherford 1507 Cranston Rd Garner, NC 27529 phone 919-208-3883. I have photos and receipts...will be waiting for that refund.
dont give them your credit card info because they will charge and charge your account. we stayed two nights we checked on our bank account and seen we was not charged the correct amount we called and then they took the charge off and two dayslater they charged our account twice. and you we called again and the manager told us a lie, we could not go home because i money was not credited to our account like he said it would. DO NOT STAY AT THE ST. AUGUSTINE FLA LA QUINTA INN AND SUITES THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY
Seems most people posting comments were not happy with their stay. We just stayed at a La Quinta Inn just North of Austin,Tx at Cedar Park. I found my stay to be very nice. The place was very clean and we had a very pleasant stay. The staff was very polite. I thought the place must be fairly new but was surprised to learn it had been open a couple of years. My room was nice, clean, great mattress on the bed. That's how I wound up here. I'm trying to see if I could find out what type of mattresses they use. I've been having lower back pains every morning and it takes me awhile to get moving good sometimes. I attributed it to just getting older but I noticed each morning we were at La Quinta, after sleeping on their mattress, I had hardly any pain at all. I wouldn't hesitate making reservations there. Enjoyed my stay. Very satisfied.
My last stay at La Quinta Inn will definitely be my LAST. I have stayed in them for years and have a member number. However I am tearing that up! When my daughter was having her third child my wife and I picked up our grandson, who lives with his Dad in another city, so he could be near Mom and his new half-sister. We chose to stay at the La Quinta in in Angleton, Texas. I would rate the receptionist friendly and helpful, the room fairly good for the price. However, the pool area was nasty. Especially the small pool. And you can guess where my 6 year old grandson wanted to go! We kept him out of the small pool and had to stay with him in the large pool because he cannot yet swim. I had to personally take the dip net and clean debris out of the large pool before I would let him get in. The continental breakfast was a joke. I have had better breakfasts at cheaper Inns. When I filled out my review, I received what appears to be a standard complaint letter reply(see below). Obviously my complaints fell on deaf ears! We truly appreciate your feedback; it is our goal to provide you with a positive, memorable experience each and every time you stay with us. We apologize that your experience was not what you expected from La Quinta. Your continued satisfaction and trust in La Quinta are our top priorities. We hope you will be staying with us again soon. Sincerely, Mike Patel General Manager La Quinta Angleton Sorry Mike, It ain't gonna happen!
I have use La quinta Hotels for some years all around the country with no problems until 6/26/12. I found out that the La Quinta Hotel at 1605B HWY 17 in North Myrtle Beach is not yours but you allow them to use your name. When I inquired for a return of my money it took some time but he knew it is a Pig Pen and gave my money back. How could you do that to your name and repertation. That place is a Pig Pen, I was so hurt. I am a member of La Quinta and going on line from home miles away you don't know. I saw the ratings of 2. However I allowed my secretary to book it for me and please take your good name from that hotel. If you don't belive me take a trip and see for yourself. When booking a hotel you try to get the best rates and can get the shaft. I call La Quinta HQ and they gave me the La Quinta hotel on 48th st Mytrle beach. It cost a little more but this is a La Quinta Hotel. Thank you for reading this.
We stayed at your hotel a few weeks ago and it was wonderful. We stayed at the same hotel on international drive the weekend of june 8th through the 10th and it was the worst I ever seen a LA QUINTA HOTEL. The telelavision didnt have all the channels the lamps over the beds didn't work ,we had to call for a iron, the room was never cleaned, we had to ask for towels, the soda machines(all) was empty, the ice machine didn't work on our floor. I know all your hotels are not the same, but I hope that another customer doesn't have to go through a weekend like I did at LA QUINTA ON INTERNATIONAL DRIVE IN ORLANDO FLORIDA. My email address is manuelharris1971@gmail.com
I stayed in the La Quinta in Fort Stockton TX and it was a Nightmare, There was a smashed Fly with guts and all smashed onto the wall in the bathroom. (even after the room was cleaned)I can go on about how the coffee maker was not working at all and that only 1 lamp had a working lightbulb....but thats nothing next to what happend next. Me and my Girlfriend where in the Hotel room it was around 12:15 at night. She was in bed watching TV, I was at the table playing cards. All of a sudden asome people started to open are Hotel room door and try to come into are room. I rushed to the door and said "excuse me?" It turned out to be a family, a mom and a dad with some kids, The office had given the key to our room to another family...and we got walked in on. That is just utterly unexceptable!!! Me and my Girlfriend had spent around 3 hrs at the local I hop ......,what if the people came to are room when we where gone and stolen all are stuff? things that can't be replaced.. The office said thay would call me in the next few days and refund the money to my card. ....They still havent called back or anything... now im getting really mad and am about to call head office.. Thank you for the worst night of my life!!
My stay at the La Quinta in Amarillo, Texas on June 10, 2011, was less than impressive. I have stayed at many La Quinta (and this one on June 1, 2011) and have been completely satisfied, but this trip was unimpressive and I feel that a partial refund is in order. The front desk personnel(blond night staff) were less than helpful with all the following problems; Starting at check in: they would not honor the bill board price, the room assigned to me was not cleaned or made up, the room I was finally given was not finished, kleenex dispenser was not properly surcured, no coffee or coffee amenities (creamer, sugar)were not with the provided coffee maker. I think a refund between the billboard advertisted amount and the amount that I was charged is due me. I have been a head housekeeper in major hotel, that one would not pass my standards.
Ali Kirk-GM LQ Montgomery Eastern Bypass 1280 East Blvd, Montgomery Alabama, 36117 Reservation placed under the name Kyle McKenzie. First of all, we were initially placed into room 245, which had a malfunctioning air conditioner. The gentleman at the desk was gracious, and quickly took care of our needs. I witnessed him turn away a new guest to ensure that his in house guests were taken care of first, which we appreciate on all accounts. The gentlemen working at about nine last night was wonderful and should be praised for how well he handled himself and the way he represented your brand. My family and I stayed here last week as well, arrived the 26, departed the 27th (rm 166). You advertise free wi-fi, but I nor my husband were able to connect to the internet our first stay or this current stay 2-3rd. Both stays, we had another family in our party, and they had a router in their room both times. When we called to simply ask about the Internet (first stay 26-27 of May) we were simply told that someone would call the Internet provider, which is ridiculous when all that was needed was a router restart. My husband is an auto industrial engineer, and IT specialist and when he pinged your ip address, there wasn't any. We didn't call to complain about that because we know the router was in a guest room and we felt it was inappropriate to wake another guest up to solve our Internet connectivity issues. I feel like you should either move the routers to a location where your staff can maintain them, or stop advertising free wi-fi. I was certain that our rooms were nonsmoking, but in our first room 245, the telephone was covered in ash. Our second room, 244, the floors were so dirty that wiping up my sons spit up off the floor turned the wash cloth black. When we took a shower, just our wet feet touching the bath mat turned it black. I dropped it off at the front desk, and Jaclyn didn't even apologize for the appalling conditions. She offered no more than a blank stare. I left the towels with her, and I though I sincerely doubt that you'll have an opportunity to see it for yourself, I encourage you to take a wet towel and just run it over the floors in any given room. I'd also like to address the issue of the conditions of the room in general. 244 has wallpaper peeling and bubbling off the walls. Room 245 has only one functioning lamp, the time on the tv in every room we were in was incorrect. There was hair very clearly on the bathroom wall in 244, but being pressed for time we showered anyways. Aside from room conditions, we were unable to get any rest due to the boisteous men walking up and down the hall, hollering at people in the parking lot, who were playing their music entirely too loud, with speakers rattling. There's also the issue of the pot smoke we smelled up and down the halls all night. It started seeping into our room and it made both me and my husband Ill. When we tried to call the desk, shortly after ten pm, there was no answer. We called several times. When we finally walked down to the lobby, we were harrassed by men in the parking lot, gathered in crowds, and the lobby doors were locked, with a sign that said "no rooms". Personally, I would be embarrassed to manage this property.
I am writing this review on the last night of our three day weekend. We rented four rooms for all of our kids and ourselves. The night that we checked in one of my daughters came out of her room right away and said there was bed begs in the room. She said there was a bed bug bag on one mattress and the other one had quite a bit iof eveidence of bed bugs in it. We immeadiantly check the other three rooms and they were ok. We went back to the front desk to tell them and thaey said thank you for telling us and gave us another room. My husband and I took that one because it was on another floor and we wanted the kids to be together. We checked it also and it was fine. Our shower head would not switch off to fill the tub so we used the shower to fill the tub....slow and messy. Meanwhile that other bed bug room was rented out to someother unsuspecting family. The next day, two of the three rooms of the kids were not cleaned. The garbage was overflowing, beds not made and a pair of Victoria Secret pajama pants went missing. We did report to the front desk however they could not get ahold of house keeping that evening. On that same day in our room on the third floor the housekeeper did an amazing job. Everything was so nice and fresh. We had left a $7.00 tip but I had accidently put the wrong name on the note so it was not taken. That is honesty! I called to get the name of the person because I wanted to make sure that this paticular person received the money. That was this morning as we left for the day. I included the tip for today because I wanted to make sure that same person recieved the money. Whe we got back to our room this evening I was shocked. Nothing was done. It looked like nothing was touched. The garbage was full, beds were not made, fresh towels were not replaced, wet ones were still on the floor, and no vaccuming was done. When I called the front desk they asked if I had left a do not disturb sign on the door which I did not. They called the head housekeeper and she said they do not touch anything that is left on the beds or counters. There was nothing of ours on the beds. I have never been in a hotel where there was NO SERVICE.....NEVER!! My other daughter (in a different room) discovered another piece of clothing was missing. I was excited to stay at a La Quinta Inn and Suites however it will not happen again.
Horrible experience in your Anderson SC property. The room looked like a war zone. The ceiling had leaks and peeling a substance the bathroom wall had a hole...towels were dirty and the sheets were torn and had blood on them...the carpet was so bad that I was afraid to take off my shoes. The room walls were paper thin and we could hear the great dane in the next room and the cigarette smoke that came through to our room was disgusting to say the least...as well as hearing their toilet flush and run all night...I don't know what you are doing as a corporation, but perhaps going undercover to experience this your self might help this chain of motels survive. Till then we are done with LaQuinta's!!
