My family and I recently reserved a room at the La Quinta Inn at 48th Street in N Myrtle Beach, SC, for a few days of fun! That was the biggest mistake ever imagined. Before I share the misery of our summer vacation let me tell you why my husband booked with LQ... he was swept away by the continued television commercials insisting the hotels are clean and renovated. This is what executive leadership at La Quinta wants you to believe. The truth is, THE COMMERCIALS ARE MISLEADING, NOTHING BUT LIES!!! That hotel at N. Myrtle Beach, SC is filthy. Here is a description of our room. Permanent stains on the carpet, my daughter’s socks were filled with stains from walking on the floor, I have a medical condition that demands medication remain cooled, no refrigerator available in the room, little to no room for clothes as the drawers are old and small as is the closet, stains in the grout throughout the bathroom, stains in the fiberglass surround of the bath tub (I had to buy cleaner to justify allowing my family to shower), there is a constant leak coming from the faucet at the sink, no dish to rest one’s soap so yes, where do you place the soap, our door did not close properly my husband had to put his body weight against it to guarantee it closed securely, the pillows are so cheap they cannot support your head. This is sad that I have to share all of this, as I would prefer to tell the consumer how wonderful a stay we experienced. But this is hotel chain is awful. To even allow rooms to be booked at this site is criminal. Carpets in the hallways, stained, pounds of dog poop throughout the facility (outdoors) and no one, even dog owners pick up the mess!!! The food: where do I start? La Quinta, when it comes to food, presentation, along with taste, is key! What takes place in the morning is a joke. There is no such thing as a nice presentation. Trash, liquid spills, crumbs, all throughout the serving area. The food served lacks the basic… a pleasing taste. The staff: I called the front desk on our first night to ask for another room because I was using all towels as I was constantly cleaning up water dripping from the sink faucet. I spoke with a rude, young man at the front desk, “…what do I do with all of this water, do I use the hand towel that fell in the toilet to clean up all of this water, I can’t use anymore towels or we will not be able to dry off after showering?” He said, “well yes, you probably should use that towel that fell in the toilet. I can have more towels delivered to your room.” I reminded him that his behavior doesn’t comfort a dissatisfied guest. He told me we could checkout if we wanted to. Fresh towels were NEVER dropped off. Let me get back to those towels, they are cheap, thin strips of paper with fur. As cheap of a ‘towel’ a corporation can purchase is what La Quinta has to offer their guests! This company knows nothing about Corporate Social Responsibilities. The bottom line for La Quinta is profit, profit, and profit. La Quinta if you adopted the CSR mindset and way of operating your enterprise, your bottom line would manifest into numbers that are only present in your dreams! Your Myrtle Beach, SC hotel is not fit for some of the dogs that slept there. To offer this type of mess to guest tells me you care nothing about the what you suggest in your television ads: comfort, pleasing views within the facility, renovated buildings and rooms, a staff with care and concern for all guests. Your hotel lacks ‘value added’ elements that create repeat business. The rating is zero start, not a one star! I WILL NEVER ADVOCATE BOOKING A ROOM AT ANY OF YOUR HOTELS. MY FAMILY AND I WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER PENNY ON ANYTHING LA QUINTA OWNED AND OPERATED!
I stayed there one night and they charged two night stay. nobody has returned my call. my room was not worth 200. The room was not bad and the serive there was okay but to return calls and get my money back is ridiclous
I stayed at Hesperia hotel on saturday and as I got to the room the room smelled so bad and went to tell the lady her name was Susan the front desk manger she came and checked the room and she gave us a discount and also gave us a air fresher and the asscused me and my nephew of smoking weed my newhew and daughter are young and I don't smoke and made me so mad and I was never charge 76 dollars please have some one call me 949 9730210 thank you and also the general manger was so rude and did nothing
My wife and I stayed at Mansfield Laquinta. A/C didn't work in the room I stayed in with guys from youth group and wife's a/c leaked water and smelled like mold. They finally moved my wife the next day after repeated request. When they moved her the next one leaked also. This was 3rd floor. We ask to speak to manager for two days and were put off. We don't usually complain but hopefully will save someone some heart ache.
Worst hotel ever. The first room we had was really dirty. Hand prints on the wall, carpet was so dirty we had to wear shoes, the tub had peeling paint and mildew in it and would not drain, there were spots on white sheets and the toilet didnt flush well. We went down to the pool and the tile around the outside pool was black with mildew and the inside pool had a baby in it with a saggy diaper. No thank you. My dad went up to the front desk to complain and they were very nice and tryed to help us out with giving us another room. All i can say is at least the bathroom was clean. The couch was ripped and the floor was still horribly stained. Only one remote worked for the TV and the walls looked like it had kids running around with chocolate touching them. I will never stay at another la quinta. Oh ya someones dog peed all over the steps on the way down to the first floor. Glad there was an elevator.
We stayed at the La Quinta Inn in San Antonio, Texas. Drove all the way from ILL., and was not in the mood for what I walked into. Was not a good experience, could not check in till 3:00. They had 8 rooms ready by about 2:00, so we did get a room earlier, went to go to bed, pulled back the covers, only to find out the bed was never changed, and the bathtub was dirty, and the housekeeper had an attitude, kept saying not dirty, all the time talking in spanish, said I clean like this, and I said the water is gray, it was dirty, there was a mark on one side that somebody had slept in it, and the pillow cases did not smell clean, called down and complained, took a while, so I finally came back up, and they were in the room changing sheets, and the 2 housekeepers were making comments in spanish, which I understood, and the 1 housekeeper, had a very bad attitude about the whole situation, after that the supervisor showed up, when I called down, should have been up right away, and I explained everything to her, she was okay, but I will never use La Quinta, again. I would not even let them clean the room the 2nd day. Also the rates say starting at 59.00, when we were charged 89.00, when we had our aarp card with us and I showed it to her, which there was no discounts, because they were already, because we were with a wedding party. Bad bad, bad, I worked in housekeeping, and I knew what I was dealing with, how many more people did not know being they had no experience what to look for, I thought those rooms were cleaned to fast to begin with.

I am stationed at Ft Hood waitng for housing for my wife and 2 small girls. My Mom found us this hotel thru Bring Fido since we do have 2 dogs. I can't complain about the rooms except my bathroom door was not screwed in very well. The rooms are clean and the hotel staff was very nice until they charged me for an additional night at the wrong price then harassed me and my family every opportunity they got. Their mistake not mine. Decided to take my 2 and 3 year old girls to the pool which was also clean and well kept. While sitting at the pool area the local prostitutes decided to try to play bang bang for money with me and every other guy there. I was furious as these ho's could see there were small children with familes. I contacted management and was told nothing they could do. Would not hire a security guard or make an effort to patrol the pool area to kick these ho's out. They told me next time I see these prostitues to call the police. I don't even want my girls to go in the pool. God knows what kinds of fluids are in there.
I just had the worst customer service experience over the phone with your Front Desk Manager Mike Mishra. I was penalized for having given wrong information from a trainee employee. All the info she gave me was incorrect. When I seak help form a Front Desk Manager, he was so rude and never offer any simpathy. Instead he acussed me of giving the employee the wrong information. so desapointing. I've always enjoyed staying at your Hotel, however the customer service experience I rcvd today at the North Myrtle Beach property just made me not want to book with you anymore. Please look into it.
My family and I stayed at the LaQuinta Inn and Suites Galveston 8710 Seawall West from July 5-7,2010. I am physically diabled. Our room did not have a comdortable chair in the room other than one ridge dining room type chair. The lock leading to the balcony did not lock. I called the front desk each day to ask for help with these two problems without any constructive results.
This was the first time (and last time) I've stayed at a La Quinta. I stayed at the one located in Bishop, Ca. WAY over priced. 5 star pricing for motel 6 quality. Small room, even smaller bathroom, out dated TV, out dated decor, dirty sheets, no power outlets, loud AC, no elevator, dirty common areas and the morning receptionist (Hispanic female) was rude. I can't imagine anybody being impressed with this place, in fact, i would bet the positive feed back is being written by staff or management. Never again will I stay in a La Quinta hotel! YUCK...
Looks like we were not the only ones that LaQuinta in St. Augustine ripped off by over charging our card!! The first time it was Over $500.80 over charged. I called while there my card center, and made the manager fax a correction and it was removed. HOWEVER, Three days later I checked the account again, and LaQuint re charged another $125.40 to my account. The first charge had already cleared!!!! And no one can seem to correct the error or answer how it got there and why! What is really sad is we live pay check to pay check, and were there for a brother's funeral, and get screwed by LaQuinta! There was buggers on the bathroom wall, and the bath mat was dirty! and we could not get our rooms until after 4:30 because the cleaning staff was not done cleaning the rooms YET! One night stay for a funeral turned into a ripped off, sad and screwed person!!!
WHEN MY SON AND I STAYED AT YOUR INN NEAR THE CLEVELAND, OH AIRPORT EARLIER THIS YEAR THE FIRST THING WE NOTICED WAS THE ENTRANCE TO YOUR INN WAS THE ONLY WAY TO GET IN OR OUT. THE FACILITY HAD A HIGH FENCE ALL THE WAY AROUND. AT THAT POINT BECAUSE IT WAS LATE WE DECIDED TO GO AHEAD WITH OUR RESERVATION. AROUND MIDNIGHT MY SON WHO IS NOT A GOOD SLEEPER GOT UP AND LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW AND NOTICED THERE WERE A WHITE AND BLACK MAN ATTEMPTING TO GET INTO OUR CAR PARKED JUST OUTSIDE OUR ROOM ON THE FIRST FLOOR AT THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING. SOMETHING GOT THEIR ATTENTION AND I SPECULATE IT WAS A POLICE CAR COMING TO YOUR INN. THEY IMMEDIATELY RAN AS FAST AS THEY COULD INTO THE FRONT ENTRANCE OF AN RTA TERMINAL ABOUT ONE BLOCK AWAY. WHEN I WENT TO THE FRONT DESK TO REPORT THIS MATTER THERE WERE ALREADY 3 GUESTS, A POLICE OFFICER AND YOUR NIGHT AUDITOR DISCUSSING THEIR PROBLEM. I ASSUME THEY HAD THE SAME PROBLEM OF SOMEONE BREAKING INTO THEIR CAR. WHEN I REALIZED THEIR ISSUE WOULD TAKE A LONG TIME I RETURNED TO MY ROOM. AS FAR AS I KNOW THE THEIFES DID NOT COME BACK. BOTTOM LINE I WILL NEVER STAY IN YOUR INNS UNLESS IT IS MY ONLY OPTION.
My husband and I had the misfortune of spending a night at the LaQuinta Inn of Tuscaloosa, AL. The tub in the bathroom was so dirty we couldn't possibly feel clean after a shower. Someone had shared their bathroom concerns by writing a graphically profane note on the interior of the bathroom door. The previous tenants were sure the housekeeping staff would not see it because it was quite obvious no cleaning took place in that bathroom. I am trying to send digital pictures to the corporate office but I can't seem to locate a contact link. That figures!!!
We stayed in the laquinta on 7-20-2012 in Huntsvile Tx and it was terrible our first room the air didnt work like how it should it was hot in our room and in the bathroom on the side of the toilet is was dirty the mirror on the wall was dirty and it was lil small bugs flying around in our room.Second room they move us to like around 12:45am at night the air didnt work at all and crickets was in the room hoppin around and the.Thrid room they moved us to had two small full size beds in it and we paid for a king size bed and the room was still hot so the next morning my fiance went down to the lobby and tired to get a discount for all we went through and they gave us back 20 bucks and the lady alexison was very rude very rude with customer service very rude never again.

Checked in at the La Quinta Capitol in Austin on July 15. 2012. I knew I was in trouble when there was approximately 40 drunks hollering, screaming, and harassing female guests as them attempted to check in to the hotel. This was at 7:00 PM. The desk staff was rude and when the matter was brought to their attention said " do you expect me to ask 40 people to behave just to please you." The hotel was dirty and the house keeping staff nonresponsive despite being left a generous tip. A roach that died in the floor was still there when I checked out---at least I assume he was dead because he didn't move for 3 days. The hotel was noisy and it was impossible to get a decent nights rest the entire 5 nights I hve beeb here. I am typing this at 3 AM after again being awakened by noisy drunks. The desk clerk just smirked at me when I asked him to do something about the noise...his reply was " I can't help you---I'm just a peon here." My company has always used this hotel for our corporate business but we will take our future business lsewhere.
So I was not looking forward to staying at LQ in Fort Stockton, TX after reading some horrible reviews but had no choice, as all other hotels were booked. We were just passing through so one night did not seem like a big deal. Wrong. I found blood splatter on the wall and some on a door in the bathroom. Blood splatter! I felt like I was in an episode of CSI. It was so disgusting! We had management come up and look because maybe, just maybe, something bad had happened and perhaps they should look into it. What did she do? Offer for us to change rooms? Comp us for the room? No, she took a f@#$ing magic eraser and wiped it off saying "there hasn't been any violence that I know of since I have been here" come to find out that she's only worked there for 2 months. Stay somewhere else. Not to mention the bathtub looked dirty and the faucet wasn't fully connected to the wall, and the toilet was unsure if it wanted to work or not. This hotel should be shut down for health concerns. What's funny is that that hotel has been getting horrible reviews for years.
On July 7th, my husband and I stayed at the LaQuinta Inn in Anderson, So. Carolina. We had driven many hours and were tired and dismayed to discover our room was run down and dirty. The carpet looked as if it had not been vacuumed. The bathtub grout was missing and peeling. The doors and woodwork were dirty and the entire place looked as if it needed a good cleaning and redecorating. We usually choose LaQuinta or Drury Inns because we travel with our toy poodle. From now on we will ask to see a room before committing to staying at LaQuinta. Don't these franchisee locations get inspected for overall compliance with LaQuinta standards?
We were offered two separate rooms. Both rooms were dirty with previous users trash and leftover used soap. SICK. WE WERE CHARGED $130 plus. We got our money and left quickly...280 West Applewsy Coeur D'Alene, Idaho 208-765-5500. I believe it was a set up for us to leave. I saw someone running d
