My family and I stayed at 850 Halm in San Antonio by the airport. It was the absolute worse hotel stay I have ever had in my life!!! Upon arrival we found out that we were not getting the type of room that we reserved, then the refrigerator in that room was not working, the bathroom sink was stopped up and to top it off my 3 year old and I were eaten up by bed bugs which resulted in me having a swollen eye. The staff seemed very unconcerned and very unhelpful. I had to spend the rest of my vacation with a swollen eye and itching from all of the bites. I have never been so upset in my life and I will never stay there ever again.
Credit Card Theft
We stayed at the West Medical La Quinta in Lubbock TX on March 10. 2 days later I discovered my credit card # had been stolen. That is the ONLY place I had used my card in over a month. Coincidence? I think not! Also the commode ran water every 30 sec. all night and there was NO hot water for a shower the next morning. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
bad breakfast items
CORPORATE PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR GUESTS! Your budgeted breakfast items are terrible! If this is the best you can offer you need to just give it up. Pastry from the vending machines are a terrible choice and microwave sausage and gravy is worse especially when staff cannot do it correctly. I would love to be your undercover guest to make sure quality comes back to LaQuinta. Time for me to stay somewhere else.
Stay
Through out the years whenever we have traveled we have stayed at different La Quinta's; Your accomodations have always been to our complete satisfaction,but most of all at Conyers's Ga. Your staff has always been very accomodating regardless of what time of the day or night you may be in need of something;Cleanliness is great, which has a lot to say about a place; we are very pleased and we would score it a 5 *
Cancellation Policy
I made a reservation for family driving across South Dakota. The weather worsen and we were not able to reach Rapid City La Quinta. I tried to cancel in less than forty five minutes after making the reservation. No refund. Charged 140.00 for room that I did not use. Thanks La Quinta, great customer service. THey only had 3 rooms left when I called and cancelled. Word of mouth is a great advertisement. Everyone that travels that I come in contact with, will know about the great customer service.
Don't stop - Drive by!
It is 18 degrees outside in Wichita, KS and I have no heat in my room at LaQuinta on West Kellogg, when I arrived at 10:45 PM after coming directly from the airport. Contacting the front desk was of no value - no one came to my room to fix the problem ??!?! Finally - finally someone showed up and stood in the doorway and asked me what he should do??! - He never attempted to fix the problem nor did he apologize, or offer a resolution. If I did not have to get up early and attend a funeral - I would leave. I am too exhausted to have to deal with this problem. If you're looking for courteous staff, they are not here. The two people at the front desk did not even greet me when I walked in. The performance of the 3 visible staff on this shift are substandard; it is undoubtedly a reflection of upper management at this hotel.
things to improve
I have stayed at la quinta over the last 5 years many times;primarily because I know they are dog friendly. Now my husband and I are considering NOT traveling with our 4 legged friends...primarily because of two things. 1) the shower curtains smell like dirty wash clothes, soooo bad it makes the entire room stink! A simple washing (with bleach) could circumvent this stench. 2) Stop peeling the hard boiled eggs; its completely gross to of had someone unknown person's finger nails digging into our egg that we are about to ingest. So small are these things but, it is the foxes that spoil the vine...
My husband, my dog and I recently stayed at the La Quinta Fort Worth Southwest and had a remarkable experience. The building and the room were clean and tidy, but it was the staff that were exceptional. Unknowingly, I left my purse in the room when we checked out, and when we were about 2 hours away the desk clerk, Lisa Wood called and explained that the cleaner had found my purse. We made arrangements to have FedEx pick it up, but Lisa called twice to keep us abreast of the situation. Two days after we left Texas and returned home to California, my purse was delivered to my door step just as I left it in Fort Worth. Such honesty is worth more than the finest amenities of a 5 star hotel!
Complete disappointment
LaQuinta inn an suites in jacksonville fla @baymeadows and 95 was a complete waste of my money and I will never NEVER stay in your hotel again!! And I will spread the news to my friends!
Be ware of LaQuintain midland tx. The tub was absolutely the filthiest ever. Had a black ring don't go there very dirty
I'm in the process of filing a corporate complaint against La Quinta in Long Island City, NY. They triple charged me for coworkers who checked in for an hour, the hotel was so gross with blood and fecal matter on the floor that they checked out!
We r currently staying @ La Quinta on Walnut Hill Ln n Dallas, Tx. The room is fair. They r courteous @ front desk, but the lock on the back of the building is broken & u cannot hardly go outside to walk ur dogs without some type of a problem! People work on their cars n the parking lot, other dogs r not kept on a leash when outside here, found a lizard n our room on the 4th floor of all places. Get the picture. Will never stay @ a La Quinta again!
I amde a reservation for a non-smoking 2 bed room, which was accepted online. The day of my arrival I received a voice mail on my cell phone sitting that there were no 2 bed rooms for that price. I could upgrade to a suite for $25 more and have 2 beds with non smoking. To me that is a typical "Bait and Switch". I cancelled the reservation and emailed a complaint. I received a response with an apology and was told that they do not guarantee non smoking it is only a request. And that I should always call to confirm a reservation. I went to the website to check. I did not see anywhere easily read on the pages I used to make the reservation that it was not guaranteed to accommodate non smoking. And I take issue with being told to CALL. That NEGATES the whole convenience of online reservations!~ You need to state in plane sight that for non smoking you have to call the location. This was a HUGE inconvenience for me.
This is the third stay at this one in Weatherford tx. They gave us a nice room, but the cat urine smell that they couldnt get out of the room from past thoughtless people. They put us in another room which was the same layout but very nice. No smell and they apologized for the smell. They have tried everything. Everytime we go through ft worth, we always stay here. the people are nice and the rooms are 99% nice also. It would be even nicer if that damn construction on the roads were finally finished. Please pass on our compliments to the staff. It was on 18and 19 of October 2012.
Phoenix 2510 W. Greenway. Worst expierince ever. Came to room saw that someone tried to break in the room. Notified the front desk and was told to wait til the next day to get it fixed. Meanwhile here on job related buisness with a Az Peace Officer related job.For sure being watched while put in one of the ghettos of Phoenix. Return I think Not.Wouldnt recommend this place to the homeless.

This place has bed bugs. Strong smell of mold . Food gave me the runs.Staff is very rude. When manager approached in ELy NV she was cursing and extremely rude. I would never go back to this chain of Hotels.
We stayed at Laquinta inn of Oskosh on Rath rd. on Oct. 6 2012. My room was prepaid on my debit card. We left on the 7th and returned home. On the 9th i noticed an extra 59.80 charge on my card from La quinta. I called and a young lady named Jesse said it was for training. Training? Well the fact is it caused me a 35.00 overdraft. I would appreciate an explanation and i feel a refund would be in order.
Gainesville and Thallahassee locations(stayed at both within a few days) no hot water, Gainesville manager listened credited us a few dollars(which I did find very nice and did not expect) the other Thallahassee had an oh well attitude.
DON'T STAY AT THE HOTEL IN PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL. on Costal Palms. We have always stayed at La Quinta's but never have a stayed at a hotel with such rude and disrespectful staff. At breakfast one staff member proceeded to mouth of to us "that she would put us in our place and treat us like she does her children" after a simple astonished look one of us gave her when she made a blunt comment. The front desk staff was just as rude! They would give us an un-necessary attitude and roll their eyes when we asked for something as simple as a towel. They were the worst display of hospitality I've ever experienced.
