Life threatening
Be careful of staying in the Bozeman, MT KOA, as your life is at risk. Twice in last 10 days, large Cottonwood Tree limbs have broken off their trunks and fallen on a 5th wheeler and a motorhome. Both of these limbs crushed the rv's--if owners were inside where limbs penetrated, they would have been severly injured, or killed. Ownership of KOA refuse to have trees cut down or trimmed. Unbelievable!
Outside pool
Would like to know why the Niagara Falls Koa pool is not open. You go camping in hot and sweaty days and they are open yes the inside pool is open but that doesn't help in this heat. This is ridiculous
Avoid Fort summit in Orlando
Don't stay at this campground. It offers free shuttle service but it leaves at 9:15am and picks you up at 5:00 pm at the park. I can see if its a slow season but leaving the park at 5 and missing out on the leftover 3 hours at a park is dumb. You'd miss out on the fireworks..! The pool is NOT heated as advertised plus it closes at 8pm. I noticed no one cleaning the bathrooms. It's not totally dirty but I'd advise staying at a different Orlando koa.
Robbery!!!!
We made reservations in Cedar City Utah with NO mention that if we canceled we would be charged $60.55 for one night. Because of failing health, we are unable to make the trip. Imagine our surprise when we will not be credited this amount plus you know KOA will rent that site June 12 and will then, therefore, collect double rent for one night. This is just wrong!!!!!
KOA Erie
In the past I have had some bad experiences with KOA I have to say we stayed at Erie KOA recently. Found the premises extremely clean. Staff very pleasant. Beth was most helpful. I would stay at thei KOA again in a heartbeat
Cancellation Charges?
I cancelled a reservation I had in Indiana in May. When I received my confimation email, they had a $10 cancellation fee charged to my credit card. I can understand a fee when you cancel at the last minute, but not when you are cancelling a month in advance. I will not stay at any KOA if that is how they do business.
Toomsuba KOA
You would think KOA has some kind of Franchise agreement to where theese locations need to be kept up to some kind of standards. dont waste your time staying here, poor internet service, the roads are mud and i promise you if you dont get stuck in your vechicle you will be going to the car wash overall a poor experience and stuck here for a month.

I stayed at the KOA in Port Orange, Fl based on the photos of the park on the computer but upon arrival, it was obvious that they were trying to place as many campers as possible in their campground. Very little room between sites. You basically are in a field and if you want to stay at a campground like a fairground, then you should book at this KOA. This park does not even come near the KOA reputation and I would never recommend anyone to stay at this park. I had to give it a one but it really is less than 1. Very hard to get into your site and to leave. Linda Hallenbeck
camper dissatisfaction
KOA Okeechobee Florida, DO NOT STAY IN RENTAL UNITS, was to stay in rental park model from jan.1st to march 31 2013, cost $5,000. unit was old and not well maintained, no housekeeping for 18 days as promised, no space between units to move around, left after 18 days, charged 125.00 per day, cost me $2500. not worth it, so far sent 3 letters and email to corporate to advise them, no reply to my concerns. would never use them or recommend them again, we drove from Toronto Canada, not worth the trip.
Fort Summit KOA Davenport, Fl
Very limited owner presence. Office closes by 8PM and sometimes as early as 6PM. POOR internet and satellite service. Grounds are not kept up. Tree limbs are very low and hang dangerously close to tops of trailers, rvs, etc. No leaf sweeping or grass cutting. Garbage bins have a tendency to overflow. Smell is horrible. No management or security presence during evening hours. We had an extended stay It appears no one seems to care.
KOA Cheyenne, WY
We checked into this campground after office hours. The wind was blowing at 55 miles per hour with high wind warnings posted on the overhead Interstate alerts not to travel due too blow overs by high profile vehicles. The temp was 40 degrees with out the wind chill calculation. We could not stand out in the wind so got into our truck. This is a large campground with very few campers occupy sites.Very difficult to read site numbers in the dark, my husband got out to get a flashlight. The person in charge camp out to our vehicle was verbaly abuse & threatning. Told us if we did not register right now he would call the police in the morning, that it is the State Law you must register before moving to a site. We have been campground hosts for 6 years as volunteers for the Forest Service, BLM & private operators covering all of the western states & Wyoming. We are also WY residents. We had planned to stay at this campground until March 28th.My husband has an appointment at the Cheyenne VA, he is a Vet. We have stayed at other KOA's. We will never recommend this one!! Jan
Best park ever is naples KOA
We have have been camping at many parks including KOA RV parks, over the last 40 years, but none have been as friendly as the KOA in Naples Florida. Both staff and campers are friendly and helpful. Beautiful pool. Shuffle board has been resurfaced and easy to play on. New services are going in all the time.
please read
I thank God for the people that KOA has been blessed with. Your Ceo is the definition of amazing. I hope and pray that all of KOA'S franchise owners continue to engage in the universal principals Jim Rogers has helped share with the world. It is important that you all know that you literally change lives if not save them. Please Mr Rogers continue to pass your legacy through us all in chicago and the world by your noble actions. You brought me, a 22 year old young man to tears my friend once I seen what you done on undercover boss. You helped add more love to my spirit. Thank you KOA! Thankyou
Do they actually care?
I was going to write a review of terrible experiences at 2 KOA's in Daytona Beach area but reading problems here, it doesn't seem corporate office cares. Will leave reviews online about these campgrounds so others don't have problems and will never stay at a KOA agin. Stay away for KOA in Port Orange, FL and KOA Daytona Beach, FL.
This is my third year at Lion Country Safari KOA, we have a new manager, who must be quite inexperienced , she doubled the price of breakfast, she cancelled all activities, she cancelled the next breakfast which is supposed to be welcoming the campers back, due to lack of participation, there are so many complaints I don't even know where to start. We all came for a good time and lots of sun and fun. The sun is doing its job,she is not doing hers. I am so disappointed her answer was we get a campsite and a pool . I am trying to get along with this lady but she is making it very difficult. I am going to see about moving to another park in Okachobee it is also a koa but this is so sad that a great park could lose so many campers because of management. please send someone to find out why so many people aren't coming back
Cancellation Policy
I can't believe that KOA has a 48 hour cancellation policy for travelers who can have change of plans at a moments notice. We will avoid KOAs as much as we can due to that policy. Even a motel/hotel has better cancellation policies. You should be ashamed.
Stayed 4 nights in Shepherdsville, KY and it was definitely a 10/10. Stayed 2 nights in Granger, IN and it was definitely a 10/10. Stayed in Picacho AZ for 1 night. The park is beautifully landscaped and not at all what we expected from the write ups we read. Lesson learned there. Do not fill out surveys. Someone will contact you back with a very rudely toned email.
I have contacted the Corporate Office and the KOA at Saugartiese, New York campground about the sleepless night we had there this summer. A large group of people renting cabins right next to us was allowed to party with loud music and talk most of the night even after I and several other people continued to report the disturbance. The party started again at 8:00 the next morning. I have heard nothing back from the corporater office or the KOA at Saugartiese, NY. We have used KOA for years and will not renew our membership this year until this matter is resolved. I expect a full refund.
The KOA camp ground in CLEWISTON, Florida. Told me and my family the site was on lake Okeechobee . Not only was it four Miles away form the lake but, It is in the middle of a hot Stinky Cow Pasture. The told us it was next to the water in walking distance with a nice dock. This place should not be on KOA"s Sites. Talking about a joke.
