I Really hate greyhound!!!! there customer service is terrible. every time I ride greyhound there is some bullsh*t, the terminal workers are rude and nasty!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! Everyone should stop ride Greyhound!!!
I purchased a ticket on July 12th online for August 5th from Huntington, WVA, to Saint Louis, MO, and when the bus showed up at 1:45 AM, I was denied entrance due to overbooking. The ticket was good only for that day. I am considering a lawsuit, as they refuse to refund my money.
I took the 8:30 AM bus out of PA/NYC Friday (8/3) with my sister down to Atlantic City. My sister and I were marveling how nice the bus is and comparable to the Hampton Jitney luxury bus. But the comparison ended once our bus driver opened her mouth. I did not notice a name tag on her, but she had cornrows in her hair. Driver terrorized all the passengers. She started by barking that there is No cell phone use without airphones. Then she addressed the two passengers seated in the first row on the right, and said "if u r planning to use ur cell phones, u better go find a seat in the back". We were seated in the second row, and noticed that there was a suitcase on the seat behind the driver, so my sister decided to put her bag on the unused seat behind the driver. The driver demanded to know whose bag that was and demanded its removal. Once the bus was on the road, the bus driver barked for us to keep the noise level. We rode in silence cowering in fear of the drivers wrath. There r numerous other instances on the bus, where the driver was rude to the passengers and even the greeter at the casino. If anyone from Greyhound reads this, I suggest that u send ur people to ride on the bus, so that u can ascertain if ur drivers are providing a professional level of service so that u will have repeat customers. I ended up paying to take another bus line home.
People need to stop using Greyhound. I've heard so many bad reviews and had a terrible time myself. It was uncomfortable and they lost my luggage!! I hope I get something for that. WORTHLESS
The worst service ever, I was charged $40 for a over weight bag, and the guy behind me had a heavier bag and was not charged nothing, I watched this happend three or four times. The Hispanic guy behind the counter charged whites and blacks but not the Mexicans. And then my Bags were lost, I recieved one bag that was open when I got it, and the other bag they can not find. I travle alot by bus and will never use gray hound again. This company went from a good bus line to a Raciest, do not care, try to call them and see if you get a answer. The worst Ever.
I see there are a lot of upset customers of Greyhound...I too will NEVER trust them for transportation. I paid to get my mama home from Florida to Ky and the lost her luggage, or better yet gave it away! Its been 6 months and now they're saying her fiLe been closed cause its 6 months but they the ones that told her it takes 6 months! I'm FURIOUS! And at the end of the day, They Gonna Pay that Good 900 dollars for her lost Belongings, I pay taxes and I will Take them to court!!!! GREYHOUND SUCKS!!! NEVER AGAIN!
Tried, tried, tried to get Greyhound info: Web site is useless.... Phone service is useless.... One phone# listed for Greyhound is for PeterPan Bus! ... trying to inform corporate now! Does Greyhound exist ????????????????
My name is maxine roche. I purchased a ticket on July 1,2012. I paid for the ticket in person for 21 or more days in advance from greyhounds san bernardino ca. It was for a friend in Houting Texas who is homeless. I was told that the person could not pick the ticket up at the Houston greyhound station before they were do to leave. Talking to a greyhound rep. I was told that the person could pick the ticket up at the Houston station. Why are there two different stories. I was very disappointed with the one on one service in your san bernardino store. Your company would be so embarrassed and truely ashamed of the young Hispanic man who was in charged there. His name is Steve. He said I did not need to know his last name when I asked. He said he's the only Steve that works there. Not only was he a disgrace to your company,he didn't even dress decent. He wore no name tag. And the greyhound shirt he did have on was not clean and rinkled. He was rude and very negatively responsive. In all the years that I've dealt with greyhound I have never been a victim of such harsh
I called in about a ticket that wasnt used and was told I could get a refund. called in a few months later to see about the exchange of the ticket and they tell me i need to mail it in to get the exchange. If that was the point it should have been told to us when we called the first time. I got laughed at while I was on the phone and told there was no supervisors on the floor, hung up on, and treated rudely. I think they need to get rid of the people they have and get some that would like to work and treat people with respect that pay for their pay checks.

July 19, 2012 I have been trying to contact the local Grand Rapids, Michigan, Greyhound terminal all day! The phone either rings and rings or has a constant busy signal. When I finally got through to Greyhound Customer Service after a twenty minute hold, the Customer service rep informed me that the Grand Rapids office is supposed to be open from 7:30 A.M to 6:30 P.M. and the personnel were probably too busy to answer the phone. After a half-hour of busy signals that's a pretty good indication that the phone is off the hook! The service rep said that I had to be more patient with their hard working terminal agents! I don't know what their definition of patience is but I've reached the end of mine.

my journey began in tx and ended in az . there were people sitting on the floor in a bus already packed to full 55 people. the bus drivers were kind .but your people at the stations were rude and hateful .if you did not keep up with your own luggage it would be lost for sure that is why i stayed with mine and in az the lady loading the bus slapped my hand off my luggage,i was not given a tag, and i was told to go get one while my bus pass already taken , so i kept my bag in fear of losing it and the door was locked and i was unable to board the bus.the costumer service man in az { miquel } was rude from the very start .i do not no your companies policies but neither do your employees. why ??? they all work for the same company right is there no reason for you not to have the same policies at every station you own or run? i can not believe this is how any one runs a company and if i were rich iwould sue the #$@%^&*( out of you. MY score is 000000000 you suck .
If anyone else is sick of this shit and wants to do something about it please contact me via email @ desi407@yahoo.com Thank you
I paid for a ticket for my friend from Phoenix Arizona to Visalia ca.. first the bus was over booked so he didn't even have a seat for the ride, which i thought by purchasing a ticket guarenteed you a seat and the ride to your destination. Well needless to say he was kicked off the bus in indio, ca because the bus was too full and so were all the other buses that stopped at the station. After being stranded there for 12 hours, he had to call his friend to pick him up because greyhound couldnt provide him the ride that I paid for... he lost his job because they failed to get him to his destination. So i called to demand a refund and they told me only a partial refund would be available since he made the trip from phoenix to indio.. Bullshit company I will never purchase another ticket or service from greyhound again July 2, 2012

On July 5th 2012, I was supposed to be on the 10:55pm Greyhound bus from Bally's Atlantic City to New York. My group of three was second in line. When the bus arrived, anywhere between 10:50pm and 10:55pm, the driver step off of the bus without opening the luggage compartment and took the first ticket. Two of the people in my party gave the driver their tickets along with my own as I stepped to the side to load all of our luggage, when he finally opened it, while they obtained our seats. A man, who had an alcoholic beverage in his hand approached the driver and said "yo, open this s#!t man" the driver responded "get on the line" the male passengers group consisted of two adult women, three children and himself. One of the women in the party said "he was in line" as the man got closer to the driver saying "open it, yo." The driver said "that is not my job, nobody is here, you have to wait and what is that in your hand? you are not getting on my bus" one of the women said "throw that s#!t out" to the man in her party and began to explain to the driver that he had just got that drink and would get rid of it. They all gave the driver their tickets and the women along with the children boarded the bus as the man stepped to the side telling the driver to open the compartment now. The driver took about two more tickets then opened the compartment. I began to load two suitcases and two beach bags into the lower compartment and then went to board the bus reminding the driver that one of my party had given him my ticket already, he acknowledged the fact and motioned me onto the bus. I located my party and took my seat. Shortly after, I heard something hit the ground very hard on the outside of the coach and I looked out of the window to see the the driver had thrown one of my beach bags onto the ground and then had grabbed the other and done the same thing. As he reached for another bag, I popped up out of my seat, brushed passed the person I was sitting next to, got off of the bus and angrily asked the driver "why are you throwing other peoples' belongings in this rough manner when you are not aware of what is in them?" The driver then extended his left hand and shoved my right shoulder and said "excuse me!" I then extended both of my hands and pushed him in his chest saying "don't put your #%$^&!^ hands on me!" He stumble backwards with the bus catching him and said "get your s#!t, and your people, and get the $^%* off of my bus." I said "you should not have put your hands on me, I am not going anywhere until I speak to your supervisor." When I turned to get back on the bus #6565 another Greyhound employee by the name of Robert Ball stated "he didn't push you!" I said, "yes he did Robert Ball, and it was very inappropriate." I walked around him and boarded the bus once more taking the seat I paid for, awaiting a supervisor's arrival. A man who was next in line said "I saw him push her." The driver, who was not wearing a name tag, said "I'm calling the cops" and in agreement, I said "that's an excellent idea because I want to press charges." Someone relayed my statement to the driver and he went to get Bally's security. When the security officer arrived I stepped off of the bus and let him know that I wanted to speak to Atlantic City Police to file the charges. The security officer then called for them. While waiting for the ACPD to arrive another Greyhound bus, with passengers already on it, heading to New York from Bally's Atlantic City pulled into the bus terminal and the passengers who were on the line for bus #6565, including the man who said he witnessed the driver pushing me, began to move towards the other bus to board. Then passengers who had already boarded bus #6565, including the man with the two women and three children, got off of the bus asking the driver for their tickets back so that they were able to board the arriving bus. He complied with their wishes and did so. When the other bus was pulling off to head to New York, The ACPD had arrived. They took my statement and the driver's statement. One of the officers said you are both saying that the same thing, when in fact, I said what actually happened and the driver told the police the story about the man and his family being aggressive when he had gotten off of the bus to load it and that I got off of the bus and pushed him, leaving out the part about him shoving me first. I told the police officer that I had nothing to do with that party and that the driver had been upset by that party but he had let them on his bus and then given them their tickets back to board the other bus. I let the officers know that I wanted to press charges for him touching me. The officer repeated you are both saying the other person pushed first. I said "there were lots of witnesses and you let one willing to speak, leave on the other bus." The officers partner came up to me and said "give me your info and you can come back to the police department located right in front of Tropicana and sign the complaint after it has been filed but you are both saying the same thing." I said "the both of you are neglecting the fact that their are witnesses." That officer said "are they going to come to court? Are they going to come to court?" I said "they are strangers, why would they?" He said, "exactly!" I said, "well the people who were travelling with me saw." He said "well then, just come back to the police department so that you can sign the complaint and you will receive a summons in the mail." It was not convincing at all. The officers had switched and the first officer came back to me while the other went back to the driver. The first officer began to tell me that the bus driver was not going to let me on the bus and their was nothing he could do about it and that the driver was also saying that my ticket was forfeited. I was outraged, asking the officer numerous times if this was serious and why I would have to pay for a series of events that had been sparked by the driver's negative actions. He just looked at me and reiterated that he had no control but I should give the company bad reviews. Like that would compensate for the nasty experience that I had to endure. I laughed at him and asked should I take the two suitcases that I had placed in the lower compartment earlier back off or should the driver, when the driver began to approach me and attempt to give me back my ticket, which I did not acknowledge, when one of the people in my party had accepted it. The officer said you can get it and I did. The driver closed the compartment, boarded the bus and began to pull off. The two people that I was accompanied by and myself walked to the Atlantic City Bus Terminal to pick up a complaint form from the Greyhound port and find out what time the next bus arrived. The representative gave me the form and told us that the next bus would be leaving from that terminal at 12:40am. We realized that, that would be 20 minutes later than a Greyhound bus was expected to arrive at the Bally's Atlantic City Terminal, the terminal we had just left, so we walked back there. When we got back there we noticed that every lane had a camera pointing in the direction of the buses that enter and exited its specific lane. I am going back to Atlantic City to follow up on this matter to see to it that the Greyhound bus driver of coach #6565 on July 5th 2012 at 10:55pm never gets the opportunity to put his hands on another passenger.
I commute with greyhound quick link bus every weekday between Barrie and Toronto. In the past Monday afternoon, the 3:45pm bus northbound along Avene Road did not stop at Eglinton Av West/Avenue Road intersection to pick me up even when the Bus driver saw me wave my hands with my monthly pass and he also waved his one hand (means to say NO). I recognized the exact same driver who stranded me a couple of times in the past months. In the fist times I thought he had not know the stop to pick up regular passgaers. But when the event happened on Monday, I thought he intentionally did . So I have to file complaints on the driver in the Customer Service.
