This is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. Your client hit me while I was parked. You said for over 2 weeks you could not confirm liability until you talked with your insurd.even though it was cut and dry according to police report.I am hiring a lawyer and reporting you to the nj dept. of banking and insurance. I cannot even get reimbursed for my oop expenses just a bunch of lies and every delaying tactic in the book. you should be ashamed of yourselve. do not buy geico insurance.

I have been with Geico on and off for a few years now. I have never had a problem until I had to file a claim when my car was stolen! It has been so stressful!!! I am without a vehicle and they keep recording my statements and asking me stupid ridiculous questions as if I did something to my own car!!! I paid over half of my car in CASH when I purchased it, I have low monthly payments and I don't even owe that much and they are treating me like a criminal when I am the victim. I have never felt so angry and uncomfortable at the same time. The Adjustor who came to my house to take a live recorded statement was asking me if I did something to my own car!!!!! I need my car and these BUTT HOLES are acting as if I did something wrong when they are wasting time and they should be out there looking for my car!!!!!!! Has anybody else had this problem????

I dont even know how to explain but, Geico Auto insurance is a fraud!!!! I havent even been a good 6 months with the company and they are withdrawing more than twice from my checking account without my authorization. So after a few calls and complaints they try to accomidate with a small check for the overdraft fees I had to pay through my bank. What really ticked me off was the simple fact that after waiting a good 2 weeks to get even a cent back from my money in fees, and refunds of charges to my account TWICE.... Geico has nerve to supposily send money to a credit card that isnt even mine knowing that the funds were being pulled from my checking account!!! How is this even possible????????? I need my money bank NOW!!!!! and I will make sure that if I do not get my money back I promise a huge lawsuit will be in place as my word... I am a Geico policy holder which I have been for years. Over about 1 month and 2 weeks ago my vehicle was stolen and involved in an accident. Geico under their investigation left my car at a salvage yard for 30 days. Once they completed their so- called investigation they took it to a body shop one of there collision facilites. Moppert Brothers in Turnerville, NJ has had my car for 2 weeks now and told me on two occasion it will be ready by the weekend. My coverage does cover rental which I have been in a rental for 2 weeks, they just advised me yesterday my left axle is bent and the car won't be ready until Wednesday next week. Every week these people are telling me something different like they are seeing something wrong for the first time. The Geico adjuster who is at the facility weekly, advised them to put a used part on my car like he was paying for it. I am going to get in touch and file a complaint against them with the Bankers and insurance commission for their poor service and the treatment they give their customers. I am also going to get in touch with the attorney generals office. I am tired of them with my car for the longest and giving me the run-arounds.

Sucks..... you still have the wrong vehicle on my claim. This will result in an incorrect car fax report for my other vehicle. Your "managers" don't care about your policy holders, only about how good they look to their bosses! If you cared about your loyal customers, you wouldn't have to have a complaint site to get things done!

Having viewed a number of the grievances listed here and the fact this blog has nothing to do with Geicos' "Corporate Office/Branch" ~ I personally choose to write the CEO, Mr. Nicely, in Chevy Chase, Md a batch of "Certified" letters for resolution of my issues. Often times, the best plan of attack is to go to the top and avoid the frustration of the scoundrels at the bottom ~ they merely fill a desk for a paycheck. I urge those who sign in here to do the same ~ as I've had greater success in the past with this approach. Then, if your effort should prove unsuccessful, would then be time to go to your State Insurance Board and file a complaint, then get an attorney to litigate ~ seems it's all they understand. At least you'll have evidence beyond a reasonable doubt you made every effort to resolve the claim and/or grievance. The CEO of any company would be hard pressed to respond to a deluge of certified letters if everyone would only use this method. Everything else is a waste of time and precious energy... Good Luck

I had original planned to take my problem to someone higher in the chain of command but customer service was unable to provide me with the name anyone higher than she supervisor. After being with GEICO for forty (40) years today they call me to let me know that because my 24 year old daughter, who does not live with me, does not own a car and whose license has be suspened becaused of DUI I must fax them a copy of her car insurance or they are going to DROP me. I asked why my daughter's DUI problem had anything to do with me. I'm told its because she is listed as an approved driver under my policy. I tell them no, she had she own policy with GEICO and that GEICO had paid a claim in Deceber under her policy when she totaled her car. The say no, she has been on my policy the whole time, I say no, I was with her when she situp her policy we requested at that time she be removed from my policy. I say well take her off now, they say they can't. When I called a few months ago when my husband passed away to have him removed, I was told that I was the only driver on the policy. Forty years with a company and this is how I'm treated. I've been talked down to, called a lied, treated with total disrespect. Way to go GEICO. At least now I know why upper management doesn't put their phone numbers on GEICO'S website. Since GEICO can't help me I will have to utillize other options. AT THIS POINT I DONT NO WHO HIT MY CAR SO I SPEAK TO A COP AND TELLS ME TO LOOK AROUND MY COMPLEX AND FIND OUT WHICH CAR MATCHES THE PAINT TRANSFER AND HEIGHT TO HIT MY CAR.I DO WHAT I WAS TOLD BY THE COP AND BOOM IT WAS HER CAR WHICH IS A TOYOTA 4RUNNER. I LEAVE A NOTE TELLIN HER THAT SHE HIT MY CAR AND THAT I WOULD CALL THE COPS. LONG STORY SHORT GEICO ONLY CALLED ME TWICE THEY TOOK A MONTH AND A HALF "INVESTIGATING" THE PROPERTY DAMAGE. AT THE END THEY CLOSED MY CASE EVEN THOUGH I HAD PICTURES OF BOTH CARS AND THE DAMAGES. AND TO THIS DATE THEY DO NOT KNOW WHO WAS DRIVING LACY RATCLIFF CAR THAT NIGHT.AND SHE LIED AND SAID THAT HER VEHICLE DID NOT HIT MY CAR. Hello, There should be a 0 star, cause one star is too much o evaluate the service I've received from Geico. Your Mascot should be a snake, it would best suit your sneaky style of doing business. I have had Geico for more than 5 years and never made a claim against them. In Dec a woman ran in the back of my car, she also had Geico. They assured me everything would be on her claim and would not affect my policy. My 1 year policy ended 05/1 and when I called to renew they told me they could not give me a quote at this time, or offer me a policy. When I ask the man why, all he could say was because of the claims I made, naturally I got upset and reminded him that it wasn't my fault and I was told by his agent that it wouldn't affect my policy. I decided to shop elsewhere since I can no longer use their services, I was shocked when the agent from the other insurance provider told me she won't be ble to write my policy as I have a claim with 36 months, I explained the no-fault accident and she said , well Geico have it on your driving record that you made a caim. I've never heard such crap in my life. Now if that is not sneaky, I don't know what is. It's ok for Geico to take your money every month for years, and if they have to pay for anything weather it's your fault or not, they want to cancel your policy ? I wish the florida lawmakers do something about this. This is just ridiculous.

My car insurance was canceled because of a credit card mix up. The payments were automatically coming off of my debit card but the Bank that issued my card canceled my card and issued another which messed up some of my accounts. Geico was one of the accounts and tonight when I tried fixing the issue I was told that because my account was canceled 5 days before I would be charge another down payment fee. This is an outrage I can barely pay for my Insurance and now you want me to pay another down payment I don't have it. I could even see splitting up my payment but the demons on the other end of the phone would not work with me. I've been with Geico for five years and prior to that I was on my parents insurance for a couple of years and geico been very good to me and my family, whenever I had fender binders or small accidents they me and my passengers now I just was involved in accident in my brand new car and my insurance was canceled and I wasn't aware of that but their trying to see rather their going to cover it or not and just for them taking consideration to that makes me give them a five star!

A Geico policy holder failed to yeild the right of way, and pulled into the oncoming traffic as I was coming by. My small truck struck her small Honda car. The woman driving said she didnt look my way before crossing the road until she heard my brakes. She stated at the scene of the accident that she was watching the traffic on the left side of the road to make a left hand turn. Meanwhile, she pulls out in front of me and I stike her car on the front drivers side headlight and front wheel. I call 911 from the scene of the accident and she complains we can take care of this ourselves. When the paramedics, police and fire dept are sent out she complains that I'm hysterical and should be grateful I didnt kill her. The police ask her what happened and she explains that she didnt see me and pulled out into the two lane highway blocking the right lane completely and a portion of the second lane. She then goes on to state she was completely at fault and that I tried to stop when I struck her car. The brake marks on the road prove I never left my lane. She then tells police officer Cabellero that she heard my brakes and waited for me to hit her!!!! What he says, why did you do that. She says what else could I do, I was already out there. Well,the police then tell me the woman was at fault!! And she recieved a ticket for failure to yeild the right of way... Next day Geico adjuster Karen Garrett contacts me and states they are not responsible I should contact my own insurance carrier to get my truck out of impound.. I told her no!! Their insured was at fault and recieved a ticket. She said if the officer wasnt on the scene he cant make that determination... They are trained to look for these things and you say they dont know how to do their jobs!!! She then questions me and asks if I was on a cell phone.. No I say and my phone records will prove it. Are you on drugs... No I say and my blood will prove it. Did you see her out there, I saw her as she moved into the road in front of me.. I say, adjuster response.. Why didnt you stop... Are you kidding.. My brake marks are all over the road and I stayed in my lane... Then she asks how long are the brake marks... IDK I say go measure them, I was busy talking to paramedics and police at the scene.. She says well you should go get your car. I told her No again because the police are scared the air bags will go off... Needless to say... They have not informed me of the status of my claim... GIECO YOU SUCK!!!! And so do your drivers who dont pay attention to the oncoming traffic... WTH!!! Pay for truck so I can move on...

I have been a GEICO customer for auto's trucks, home owners and motorcycles since 1975. I have never had a major claim with them and the one now is actually covered under my under-insured motorist. The company at fault paid all of there clients coverage under there policy. Before i could accept this part of the settlement, Geico had to agree not to sue the other company and allow me to accept it with the understanding my own under-insured motorist would cover the rest. Before seeing any of my records, GEICO (Joe Jackson) offered me 5000.00 to settle the claim. Since my medical bills were already about 10,000.00 more than the other company already paid, I felt it was an insult. I offered Joe Jackson the insurance file from the other company detailing all my bills but he wanted to get them on his own. Once he did he said the total was about 10,000.00 less then the other company said they were. I than spoke to John Edmonds his supervisor and he requested the file from the other company so I went to the trouble to burn it and send it to them. I asked them to add both files and tell me if they were the same, but they would not tell me. They since raised there offer to 8000.00 and said it was fair but said in a letter dated 5/19/2011, if I get a permanency rating on my knee from my doctor who did the surgery and send the bills for the further treatment I was getting, they would consider that as well in there offer. One 5/19/2011 I called Joe Jackson and John Edmonds and they told me the offer is 8000.00 and they do not care about a permanency rating or any further treatment because that is all they will offer me. They said the impact was minimal and I had preexisting issues with my back and knee. I told them from the start I had a preexisting back condition but it has not bothered me for years until this accident and that I did not have a preexisting condition on my left knee. I have not seen a doctor for my back in years nor have I had to take pain medication or pain management for my back until now. It is not my fault I was rear ended by two cars in California while on vacation. I have told them and my doctor that basically my knee is better but it only bothers me when it leans to the left which will be permanent, but my back is continuous lower back pain that goes down my left side 24/7. I tried to call Geico Corporate and could only speak to a Debra Decker who said she would have someone look into this. That person was Joe Abbatello who I was told was a regional manager. He said he would talk to Mr Jackson and Mr Edmonds and tel them they have to look at the rating and further treatment I receive and considerate it, but even said, it may not change there offer of 8000.00 even though my bills are higher. I since found that Mr Abbatello works in the same office as Joe Jackson and John Edmonds. Most would assume that being in the same office, they are friends, buddies etc and so do I, meaning so far all he has told me is what I want to hear. I told Mr Abbitello that I sent Mr Jackson an e mail stating our conversation about Mr Jackson first telling me he would consider the permanency rating and further treatment but now he will not. And if he puts what he said in writing about lying to me in the letter dated 5/19/2011 I would than consider the offer because I could at least post there letters showing there lies. I have since left Mr Abbitello two voice messages without a reply, and today 5/27/2011 I did receive a letter from Joe Jackson mentioning our conversation but omitting anything about the first letter and now not considering a permanency rating or further treatment, only the offer for 8000.00 and a complete release. I have been referring people to Geico for years and still have two cars and my home insured with them. I can see this as being a big mistake. All these years I thought GEICO was a good company and they had good pricing so I stayed with them. I now see you get what you pay for with GEICO, NOTHING! If you have GEICO now, you may want to consider looking for another company in the event you have to file a claim. if YOU CANNOT DEPEND ON YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY AFTER BEING WITH THEM FOR 37 YEARS, ITS TIME TO LOOK ELSEWHERE, WHICH I SOON INTEND TO DO. Also when you call a company and all you cannot get in touch with any of the presidents, vice presidents, CEO's etc to talk about a problem, it sends up a RED FLAG. Last August my daughter was backing out of her parking space when some crazed woman decided to try and make it around her! Needless to say she didnt and their bumpers hit! Not a dent or scratch on my daughters car but Geico payed out a claim on the wacky womans car for $ 1600.00. They never once called to get our story or even take pictures of her car?? Even police report states minor damage meaning paint transfer that buffed right off! Now my daughters premium doubled cause they dropped the ball! Contacting Consumer Affairs the BBB and Corporate headquarters! Thanks Geico......................
