PITIFUL! the service is poor and the reps are dumb as hell! they dont keep accurate records and they cant even open attachments on emails...I have been working to settle a claim since last year and still cant get past the idiots asking me for the same info over and over! WOW Very Very unprofessional and poor communication as well as poorly trained to do their jobs right!
Good Morning, I am sending this review because Geico gave me a raw deal. I got into an accident in August 2009. My business was in a down hill. I was on my way that evening to go sign up a client. The road was very slipprey and it was very gloomy. I hit a tree. I lost that client and that was the end of everything. I was very impressed at first because they gave me a rental car and took care of the car payment. When it came to my lost wages and pain and suffering I got the turn around until I stopped pursuing it. I am just bring this to your attention because people have to realize that fair is fair and you do not take advantage of people because you are in high places or position where you could break someon. Some of us might not be able to express our self but, the professional has to look at everything and sometimes put them selves on other peoples shoes and not try not to let people be in a state were they do not even feel like living. My world was going down and Geico did a good job in making me feel that I was very stupid.

Today Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford was shot and as we all know no one knows what disabilites she will be left with if she survives. 6 other people, including a 9 yr. old little girl and a Federal judge were among those killed. In all 19 people were shot. What does this have to do with Geico? Geico thinks it's funny to have as one of it's spokeman Mr. Robert Lee Ermey, who stood so proudly at the Toys For Tot's drive and advocated the over throw of our goverment!! I e-mailed Geico about this outrage but their position is that Mr. Robert Lee Ermey is speaking his own opinion!! So stop complaing about Geico and start dropping them! I did and every month I get an actual LOVE letter complete with Hearts begging me to return to them. NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. Go on-line and look up the insurance company's available in your state I'll bet you'll not only find a new company but you'll also get more then 3 times the amount of insurance for the same price if not less!! Every company has clauses in their contracts with their employee's about their behavior on and off the air and when appearing in public. In other words they represent the company 24 hours a day. It appears that Mr. Ermey and Geico both want to over throw our government!! BOYCOTT GEICO!!
Your commercial with the lady that calls him "Stanley" is sick! It turns my stomech every time I see it.
I really want to call all of these phone numbers people are leaving here. THIS IS NOT A GEICO WEBSITE!!!
I wish people could find out how bad your car insurance company will treat you before you pay for premiums for years, so you could find a better company with a better track record. Item 1. Integrity Don't think that the adjuster is concerned about integrity, he is not...he is only concerned with what he can deny payment for. Similar to the health care industry where they try the hardest to find reasons to deny covering your health care claim. Incident: Front end damage to my vehicle ... and possibly a cracked coolant reservoir from the impact. The mechanic stated it could crack from time and going over railroad tracks. They could at least admit that it could have cracked. They had the nerve to state since there was no structural damage in the area as though that force of impact doesn't cause whiplash unless you are hit directly by the other vehicle. As though an egg in a jar could not crack unless the jar cracked. I told them is their no one in the company that has the integrity to at least discuss the possibility. After read the above examples I know I am wassting my time with GEICO. I have been with them since 1976.
I need a call from the corporate office. I have a claim that has been going on for two months and when I asked for the check to be sent to my address, the initial person helping me sent it to the body shop and forged my signature and cashed the check. Geico is now saying that they can't do anything. This is unacceptable!!! Why would you have me go through this large ordeal and have me sign an affidavit of forgery and then tell me sorry, we can't help you! If I have to send this out to the media I will. I work for the bank and I know you can submit a claim for the forged check. Why you won't do it? I don't know. My number is 623.628.5085. Please, call!! I will not rest until I am helped from the company I trusted.
Geico will lie, deceive, employ delay tactics, pass your calls around the world and back and then finally when you threaten legal action because you can't take anymore, they threaten you they will call the Police and have you charged with harassment if you call back. How the bloody hell is a Policy Holder supposed to get their claim settled if they are 'not allowed' to contact their Insurer or are scared of being arrested? Surely the Police have better things to do than chase after people Geico don't want contacting them legally??? Geico are nothing but wolves in a lizard costume. Do NOT get Insurance with Geico. They don't care about their customers, they only care about their own pay checks and making a profit at the expense of other people's misery.
Hello: I am reporting allegations of fraud by Geico to my State's Attorney General Consumer Complaint Division as well as to Idaho Department of Insurance. I have made telephone contact with both offices today. If the following email makes sense to you and believe you too are paying for coverage that doesn't exist (fraud) then give me a call. My number is listed below. If you perhaps have also purchased Under insured Motorist Insurance (UIM) from Geico, and live in what they within Geico's Under insured Motorist Claims Department are calling a "difference" state, well this might be of interest to you. Please contact me with interest at trevor.hitchin@gmail.com I carry (and have already purchased) a $100,000 / $300,000 under insured motorist policy, these are my "limits / ceilings". Geico will not activate the payment of a Under insured Motorist Insurance Policy unless and until the "other" party's insurance liability limits have been exhausted. In my case, I was hit by a 16 yr old in Idaho (clear liability, she was sited, I had serious and debilitating neck, spine, back injuries and so did my passenger). As a result of my injuries, I had substantial loss of income, medical expenses and a years worth of pain and suffering - today was as bad as the day of the accident (18 months and counting). Are you with me so far? So today I learn that my claim for UIM damages (medical, loss of income, pain and suffering) will first need to start with the other party's insurance co (who have already made me an unacceptable out of court settlement offer) and if they decide to pay their insured party's policy limits ($50k) against my claim for substantially more, then my Geico UIM policy 'kicks' in so to speak. All this is SOP and I am learning more everyday about how it works. This is the tricky part..... Well, remember I said I had purchased $100,000 of UIM insurance? Well, get this, the UIM adjuster from Geico is telling me that because of the State I live in (Idaho), I would only be eligible for my policy limit LESS the other person's coverage limit. In this case my $100,000 of UIM coverage just got shrunk to $50,000 ???!!!! You might say well, "that's the insurance business, and they can do that". Well, the way I see it, how can a company like Geico sell me coverage in my home state and know there is no way to pay the amount of coverage being purchased in ANY situation. Think about it, do the math. Again we are talking about UNDER insured motorist insurance, this is quite different from NON insured motorist. Are you still with me? So I, and many others think we are carrying $100,000 of UIM insurance when, by Geico's own definitions (of reducing the policy by the other person's limits) could NEVER get to the coverage limits you were paying for. Does this make sense to you? If they carried $0 value of liability coverage, they would have NO insurance and UIM would be irrelevant - it is for under not "non" - sorry for the double negative. It is an open loop, an impossible outcome for a policy you are paying for, one which was never designed to ever be paid out in full. The game is rigged - illegally structured. If you wanted $100,000 of UIM insurance coverage, you could not get it. It would be like pre-buying a six pack of beer from a shop in case you needed to recover damages greater than 3 cans of beer (the other person's limits), only to be told that since you got three cans from the other shop (the person who is liable), and would as a result only be offering half of your coverage - or in this case 3 cans. If the person who hit me carried a $100,000 limit, in this scenario I would be paying for a policy (my Geico UIM policy) that essentially would be reduced to $0 ($100,000 - $100,000). It is absurd. I know the underwriters for Geico are charging you (me) for the $100,000 in coverage. Think about it. Under insured means exactly that, the liable person carried less insurance than needed to make your claim for damages whole. If the other person must have a positive value for a liability policy (there is no such thing as a policy with a negative payout)and Geico is telling me they are going to subtract that amount from my coverage (when the whole idea of under insured is to cover the difference), well, again, think about it..... I COULD NEVER GET TO MY $100,000 UIL that my policy states I have paid for and carried. It is fraud. If 1 - X = Y and X & Y are both positive numbers, then Y will always be less than 1. If I have $100,000 of UIM insurance coverage but it will be reduced by the other parties limits, than I will always have something less than $100,000 of stated coverage (per Geico). I hope you are able to follow me. I COULD NEVER HAVE $100,000 of UIM insurance - it would always be less than $100,000 and possibly worthless if the person who hit you had $100,000 or more of liability coverage. If that is not fraudulent and deceptive practices, I do not know what is. Please contact me if you wish to know more. Keeping 'em honest in Idaho. Geico are in the business of making money, not losing money. They do not care about their customers, They care about the almighty dollar. My premium suddenly doubled becase I am now no longer a preferred customer. I am now a Standar customer and therefore I have to pay double because of a seat belt ticket. Once they start paying for claims, they will find a way to ditch you. Beware of this lion
i have been waiting for more than three months to be paid on a claim. my car was totalled by a gieco customer. i have had to borrow a car from a family member to get to work. i have no money to buy a car for myself. i keep being told victoria phillips of geico that they don't have all the information from another party involved. i think they don't pay their claims. i am going to contact the insurance commissioner in new jersey and make a formal complaint against geico. we all think if the other driver has insurance we can drive with confidence but not if the other driver is insured by geico. barbara davis moorestown, nj
Geico is the worst insurance company I have dealt with. I recently cancelled my policy with Geico because my checking account was overdrawn $356. I renewed my policy for 6 months and I spoke to an agent on the phone to stop the automated payment. She informed me that if she does that she would have to charge an extra payment for a security deposit. That didn't make any sense ,so I said that was not going to work for me. I asked the agent could I change my payment date to a later date and she said that was fine. 21 days later I tried to pay my phone bill online and my payment was rejected. My checking account was overdrawn because Geico sent the payment through 10 days early . My checking account had a total of six $35 overdraft fees which totaled $210. I called and spoke to Patrick Reeves ,and he was not helpfull at all. He continued to say that I didn't talk to a live agent and I went through the automated system. It was my word against his! Mr. Reeves said he did not see in his system where I called at all. Geico is very tacky and I am not satisfied . I will not recommend this company to any of my family and friends. Take heed to these warnings!
I am a Manager in the business office for Our Lady of Lourdes in New Jersey. We have been trying to get a claim paid for 6 months. When we call, we only get voice mail now, as they do not want to speak to us. They do not return our calls. We treated the patient in a timely, efficient manner and should be paid for our services in a timely manner. We have been more than patient while records were reviewed from the doctor and the hospital. Unable to reach anyone at GEICO. Asked for a VP and was told they don't know who it is. What do I need to do to get my claim paid? Please have someone contact me at 856-824-3071. Thank You, Connie Bock, Manager
We have been with Geico for about five years. Last winter Maryland got hit with bad snow storms. My wife and I were driving very carefully and slowly when a young girl who had slid off the road ran into the highway in front of us. I hit my brakes gently but caught a patch of ice and I slid into a guard rail. Geico considers this my fault and is trying to use this as an excuse for raising our rates. Furthermore, they don’t send us our bill and then say they did, so we we’re late paying they can used that as well for either not renewing or raising the rates.
Geico, is full of ...t!!!! The ignoraant women who work as your adjusters are the fatest laziest pieces of no good species i have ever talked to!!!! bY the way no insurance company has the intentions of actually trying to benefit the general public. they are all fat pigs that try to satisfy their cravings all day!
geico, you screwed me on my truck. I have made a web page, geicosux.com all the details are there
Yes Im having problems with my account. Over the phone while setting up my account I gave my account number for a auto payment. I wanted to call back with the rest of my checking info but the person who I was on\the phone with INSISTED for me to stay on the phone and that he could get the correct info to setup an auto payment to be withdrawn from my checking. A week later I see I'm over drafted in my saving $50 dollars. Somehow GEICO is taking money from my savings not my checking.. I do not feel I should pay these fee's seeing how the person on the phone insisted he could get the right info taking responsibility.. please call me 520-360-5216
was rearend by an Geico insured person, after over $5000.00 in doctor bills they offered $500.00... but will not put it in writing,,, said the damage was min so all they was willing to pay was $500.00 .... Reporting to Texas insurance board......
I paid for a policy, was told it was in effect immediately, then I was denied road service, which I had already paid for. They said my policy was not effective until the next day. In other words, had I been involved in an accident, I would not have been covered, despite the information I had received over the phone. Do not believe what anyone says at Geico!
