I am also a Geico customer (a very unhappy one)with 3 cars insured by them. I also had a problem with the adjuster today Candice Davis, Cincinnati, OH where she ended up hanging the phone on me as soon as I asked for her manager's number. So I called the corporate office, and had a voice mail message to her district manager. She may call and she may not, but If I did not get a phone call within a timely manner, I will contact them again, and I will go to my attorney to file a legal complaint for bad business practices. I will not allow anyone to step over my foot when I am not at fault. I suggest that unless unhappy customer contacts their HQ office, and talk to someone incharge, things will continue getting worse, and you will be spending your hard earned money to a company that will barely attend you, let alone serve your needs. Am switching to State Farm, they know how to show appreciation of our business. Good luck to everyone.
I was rear ended in an accident on 12/5/11 while at a stop light by a policyholder of GEICO. Because of the impact I hit the car in front of me and they hit the truck in front of them and my car died in the middel of the street. The officer said the girl's statement for the accident report was that she was looking at her heating gauges and thought the light turned green and traffic started, so she pushed the gas and went forward. The impact was very traumatic and I was taken away in an ambulance with a neck injury. I received a call on 12/8/11 from the GEICO adjuster Adam Zadok that GEICO was taking 100% liability for the accident. At that moment I felt so relieved I didn't have to worry about my car on top of the pain I was feeling and it was going to be fixed . THEN...I got a call a few days later from Chris, he came out to look at my vehicle and said he took pictures and said that GEICO was not accepting liability to anything in the front of my car or the engine being dead because it can not be certain that it was directly related to the accident!!!! That was the most rediculous thing I ever heard! They stated that their policy holder had minimal damage on their vehicle and they could not see my car being dead because of that impact. It is sickening that GEICO will do all they can to avoid to pay for damages caused by their policy holders!! And will attempt to do all they can to make the victims look like they are liable for the accidents. I am going to file a claim against GEICO and the individual who hit me for the repairs for my car, out of pocket expenses, pain and suffering, etc. I shouldnt have to get an attorney invovled and take more time out of my day to file a claim for justice when GEICO is in the wrong. I am so disgusted with this companies tactics and can't believe that corporate lets their employees treat people like this. I think CORPORATE should take a look at these comments and see what they have let be done to the company Leo & Lillian Goodwin started and was built on "ingenuity, perseverance, innovation, resilience and hard, HONEST WORK! I am reporting you to the NH Dept. of Banking and Insurance. DO YOUR JOB CORPORATE AND LOOK INTO THIS! I DESERVE A CALL FROM CORPORATE TO GET THIS REMEDIED!!
Crash on 12/13, I was not at fault (I have geico). Other insurance company (All State) accepted liability on the 14th (and called Geico to tell them that day)... I just found out because I called in to see what the hold up was "oh, the hold up is we forgot about you, thanks for the $6,000 in premiums you shelled out over 5 years. Sorry for the INCONVENIENCE of NO CAR for an extra 5 days." You lost a loyal customer Geico.
Many of the GEICO's commercials were quite witty and well thought out. Their latest with three white guys acting like office idiots and a black woman looking well above what is going on, is typical now days of these advertisers making white men look like they are stupid and blacks or women look like they are much smarter.I wouldn't even consider buying their crap or any other advertiser's that run these type of ads. Let them sell to the people they are trying to make appear so much more intelligent.
You would think if you pay for a service, you can expect to receive what you pay for. Now let me advise anyone who has anything but a perfect legal record to run from Geico. I have not one medical claim, not asking for money, I just want my car fixed. I was at fault in the incident, never argued that. I hit something in the road, damages were done, I hit a barricade. Filed the claim, no problem. Courteous, friendly, professional. Adjuster comes out to take pictures. Pleasant, professional. Then comes Geico's security investigation guy. I have never been so livid. What he said would take 15 minutes turned into an hour of calling me a liar. Even questioning a loved one's funeral and a court date. Once the tape recorder went off, he pulls my criminal record out of his briefcase, informs me that I have enough strikes against me, and flat out tells me that it is my word versus their (among other unsettling comments). Note that I have not been convicted of anything larger than not being able to report to a probation officer (and she backed me in court due to my efforts) in over 10 years. To top it off, the next day I watch as my probation officer calls him back after he had called her and left a message. He just wanted to make sure I was doing everything I should be doing and making sure I didn't have any warrants... When did that become Geico's tactic, To try to go that far and have a customer locked up rather than fix the vehicle they are paying on? To make matters worse, I sent in a complaint and have no response. Meanwhile, this investigator has been stalking me with his cards with "Call Me!" written on them. Don't believe me? alaaronl@yahoo.com I will send anyone pictures of the card and of how you can expect to be treated by Geico.
I read alot of these complaints. I have to say most of them don't sound like Geico's probelm. I have found Geico to always be helpful and fast within reason. Things take time, my parked car was hit 3 years ago by a drunk driver. Geico was very helpful and even attempted to recover my deductable. It took 6 months but they even did that. Before complaining about Geico take a look at the other options. I've had far worse problems with State Farm. Is Geico amazing, no not really. Are they amazing compared to the other provides, most certainly. Fred
I have found many of your advertising efforts quite humorous and effective, but must comment on the disgusting cruelty of your recent sushi commercial. It incorperates both animal cruelty and child abuse, nice job. In a time when we need more compassion, this is in such bad taste, I would never consider using a company that believes in this sort of advertising, and I turn the channel when I see it. I hope you consider removing this commericial from the air and web.
i am sending a poor review. i called in a claim for when hurricane Irene came though and a tree landed on my 2005 ford. my adjuster called me totaled the car. he was great in helping me to the limit that he could. what is poor is the totle loss department, different agents told me that all i have to do is send a title and then i will get the left over settlement check. now they call me and want more paperwork. i have been without a car since October 15th 2011. still getting the run around. everybody else got paid but me and it is pissing me off to the max. i am so fed up with them, i was thinking of getting a lawyer if this is not handled soon.
THIS IS A WARNING! NEVER DEAL WITH GEICO INS CO EVER!!!!! I HAVE A CLAIM FROM SEPT 23 AND I HAVE MED PAY ON MY POLICY FOR 10000. I TURNED MY MEDICALS BILLS IN SINCE SEPT 29 AS WELL AS THE ENTIRE MEDICAL RECORD AND THE BILLS ONLY TOTAL 2000 N THE NASTY UNPROFESIONAL ADJUSTERS MR JOHNATHON BROWN N TEAMMATES R STILL TELLIN ME DEY CNT MKE PAYMENT CUZ NW DEY ND THE CODES FOR DATE OF SERVICE I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING N HISTORY ITS JUS 2 NT PAY ME!!
same story hit from behind with injurys other driver guilty yet gieco denies claim having to sue now dont take the chance with gieco they suck!
I was rear ended in Feb, it is now the end of October. Whenever I call I get voice mail. They sent a letter that if they didn't hear from me they were closing my case... I wrote back a number of times, called a hundred times, and am still playing phone tag. Geico sent me a letter stating that they do not pay medical expenses, mine have already gone to collections and damaged my credit. Geico claims they will make a one time settlement offer when they are ready... What a joke of a company... I strongly recommend that if you have Geico, switch, and fast! Poor service, and even poorer coverage!
Geico set my expectations on the time tableand resolved my claim quite efficiently. I will never use All State or State Farm whom I had in the past as they raised my rate s with no claims consistantly which is why I switched to Gieco.
On 9/2/11 I added a car and driver to my Geico policy by phone. The customer service representative assured me that both car and driver would be added. On 9/11/11 the car and driver was in an accident that was not the driver's fault. On 9/30/11 after having failed to contact me like she promised the week before the claims adjuster called and told me that Geico was denying my claim because they could find any record of my adding an additional driver. This is impossible to believe as all phone calls to Geico are recorded. Geico is failing to honor the verbal contract that the customer service representative entered into. Now on 10/5/11 I received a phone call from the rental car company saying that Geico is also denying that I have rental insurance on my policy. This is also not accurate. Geico seems to be in the business of taking money without providing the coverage they promise. If this is not resolved to my satisfaction I will no longer be a Geico customer. Geico will not be out any money for this claim as it was the other driver's fault but they will lose thousands by losing me as a customer by failing to live up to their oral contract.
DEAR SIR/MAAM 10/04/2011 I'VE BEEN WITH GEICO FOR OVER 16 YEARS I’VE BEEN IN ONE ACCIDENT WHICH GEICO SENT ME A LETTER AND TOLD ME I WAS NOT AT FAULT.RECENTLY I'VE HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY ENGINE, SO LIKE NORMAL PEOPLE WITH FAIRLY NEW CARS I BROUGHT IT TO A DEALER, MILLENNIUM HONDA BECAUSE THE CAR WAS UNDER WARRANTY, SO AS THEY PROCEEDED TO FIND THE PROBLEM,THEY WOUND UP TAKING THE ENGINE APART AND FOUND A BENT CONNECTING ROD, TOLD ME IT WAS DUE TO WATER GETTING INTO THE ENGINE AND TOLD ME I HAD TO CALL MY INSURANCE WHICH I DID CLAIM # 009-001-872-0101065 IT TOOK 8 DAYS FOR AN ADJUSTER TO GET THERE MR. GARY LIMANDRI I GOT HIS NUMBER AN GAVE HIM A CALL TO TOUCH BASE WITH HIM. I WANTED TO TELL HIM THAT ALL I WAS LOOKING FOR WAS TO GET MY CAR FIXED NO ENGINE ETC.ETC.. RIGHT OFF THE BAT HE TOLD ME HE COULDN'T ASSESS IT PROPERLY BECAUSE IT WAS ALREADY APART, AND THAT IT COULD HAVE BEEN ALTERED, INCINUATING THAT MYSELF OR MILLENNIUM HONDAS SERVICE DEPT WERE TRYING TO COMMIT FRAUD, AGINST GEICO INSURANCE CO. WITH THAT SAID, I SUGGEST THIS CLAIM BE MONITORED VERY CLOSELY. YOURS SINCERELY LOUIS J.ALBANO
Geico will certainly not lose any sleep over what Im about to say, however I have not only lost sleep but have lost time money as a result of the way my claim was handled. I was hit in the left rear end while visiting a elderely aunt in Phildelphia. When I called the claim in that night I was told by the claims person on the phone to take my 2008 yaris to a local shop of my choosing. I live in maryland and did not know of any shops so I took it to a local machanic shop. A Geico claims adjuster came out and assessed the damage for over 7 thousand dollars. I left the car in Philly to be repaired. After 2 weeks I drove back to philly to pick my car up. In less then 2 days I discovered that I had major leaks. Geico told me to take my car to a local shop in maryland which I did. That shop discovered that the shop in Philly had only did 1/2 the work but charged Geico for parts that were not replaced and labor that was never completed. My car sustained water damaged amongnst other things. I informed Geioc that they had been defrauded and that my car was never repaired. Geico informed me that they paid the money and they were NOT going to do anything else. if I wanted to sue the shop I could but they had washed their hands and I was on my own. The claims adjuster kep giving me the run around everytime I would call her inquiring about my situation. I spoke to her supervisior (Nancy Truglil) and she basically yelled at me on the phone, telling me that I chose the shop so it was my problem. WTH! Is their no empathy for your customers who are already going thru a difficult time? Thanks for nothing! Cathy in Maryland.
I was hit on 9/27/2011 in a parking lot by a Geico policy holder in Winter Garden Florida. There were three people in the vehicle, the car who hit me had damages on the back fender where she hit me and there were three people in the vehicle, the driver, another lady and a teenager. Immeditaely after I was hit..the passenger jump out of the vehicle and stated that I did not have any damaged. Evidently I did as the driver door is severly bent it and the damages are 1350. The policy holder attempted to coerce me to not file a police report because she didnt have money for insurance. The policy holder was ticketed for the accident as she packed into my car and hit me on the driver side of my car. I spoke to Geico on 9/28/2011 and they stated that they would call me back the next day. They never called and when I spoke to them on 9/30/2011 around 8pm they stated that they had not made a decision as they were waiting on a witness. The cost of repairs is 1350 and Geico states that despite the police report and the ticket. They stated that this witness who was in the car with the policy holder...and the policy holder statement trumps my statement and the police report. Geico stated that they would only pay 50% of the damages. They stated that their policy holder did not have damage on their vehicle and even went so far as to say that if I want my vehicle repaired for a cheaper rate that I should use my own insurance! It is dishameful that Geico will do all they can to avoid to pay for damages caused by their policy holders, and will attempt to do all they can to get over the victim when they are a mult million dollar company and could probably be even more profitable if they practiced ethically. I am going to file a claim against Geico and the individual who hit me for the repairs for my car. I shouldnt have to get my fiance who is attorney invovled and take more time out of my day to file a small claim for justice when they are in the wrong. I am frustrated and will never purchase insurance through Geico and will be sure to place this message on facebook, twitte and linked in to let all of my friends and family know about the treatment from Geico. 4073947181
This is in regard to your new Geico commercial about Sushi. Though most of your commercials on television are totally assinine this one is totally disgusting. You seriously need some new ad men or just go back to the Gecko.
Geico does not fight for their policy holders. When something happens their reply is always...."Well I'm sorry ma'am this is not covered under your policy. There is nothing we can do". Really Geico then what the heck am I paying for with my policy?! They Suck!!! I need to join the Geicosux.com!!!!!
Geico never fights for their customers!!!! I would rather go without insurance than to give them another dime!! Their policies cover nothing at all!! You always get the line..."ma'am I'm sorry but we don't cover that". Really.. So my car was messed up while habing it serviced (oil change) and my engine was damaged. So I call Geico to put in a claim for them to at least contact the dealer to recover the damages for my engine. The Geico representative politely let me know that is not covered under my policy?! Insurance is not just for car accidents!!?? I am so frustrated!! I asked the representative what exactly would I ask for to cover things like this for my next insurance company to for sure add that on my policy. My friend told me in the beginning of this process, Geico doesn't fight for you and the workers are very lazy. I have been a faithful customer but I will definitely look for another auto insurer. The price monthly may be a little cheaper but CONSUMERS you definitly get what you pay for and with Geico it's NOTHING!!! Please corporate call me at 770)608-8872.
I am so upset with GEICO. I was hit by a GEICO customer on 12/2/2011 in my jaguar. The claims adjuster had my car sent to the body shop only and did not repair any ride/suspension damage or service repair. He basically made it look "good to the eye" and sent me back on the road with a car that had not be maintainenced on the service end. My car was driven a day or so after the body was repaired and all of a sudden the driver side rear wheel (side of impact) started to shake and ultimately cause a broken axle. How can a car be impacted in motion and a serivce review not be done? I demanded that my car be taken to the service department and jaguar's service manager said that "I'm lucky that my tire did not fall off" which would've caused more damage than what occured initially. GEICO was trying to cut cost and as a result could've cost my life or serious bodily injury which I am furious about. They provided no rental car on the second time around when GEICO failed to have the job done correctly the first time. I have become crippled finacially from dealing with GEICO.. I have had to pay for a rental car for a week out of my own pocket which they say they would reimburse but we all know how long that may take? Hope you aren't in a accident with a GEICO insured customer
