All to often people take to their phones, computer,or hunt down a manager to complain, complain ,complain. This is not one of those times...I have lived next to The Dalles Fred Meyer's store for 4 years, and 98 % of the time have a good experience. So i'd like to take my time to thank some of your exemplary employees. Erin in Starbucks .. Always prompt ,professional ,Attentive and makes my order just the way i like it .. Erin O. a cashier who just today was especially kind and courteous. Mary Sutter in the pharmacy has helped my family with any and all of our needs over the years.. My 80 year old mother considers her extended family. Not sure you can play a better compliment to an employee ,than to call them family. With deepest sincerity ...Mr Crown...

Monday, October 29, 2012 CEO, Director, Whoever is in charge; Today I was in the Auburn Washington store as I am almost every week. I take my Mother, who is elderly and can’t see very well to do her grocery shopping. Well, today was the last straw with overcharges. Even though it was only 12 cents, I decided to contact Fred Meyer Corporate. Hopefully this letter gets past the mailroom. Anyway, I had put 6 cans of Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup in the cart, the price on the shelf said 79 cents ea. We went through checkout and I was going over the receipt as I do most of the time. At first I thought the clerk had only charged us for four cans of soup, due to finding “.79” on the receipt only four times. I was about ready to get back in line to pay the additional $1.58 and let her know she hadn’t charged us for two of the cans. Upon double-checking the receipt, lo and behold, there are two cans of the same item which rang up at 85 cents apiece…. The clerk whipped out her coupon book to check and see if it was on sale…. She also asked me if all six cans were the same – which they were…. It wasn’t the clerks fault by any means, it was something to do with the way the soup rang up – Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom and Cream of Chicken were on sale for 59 cents per can – limit four….So, as you see, someone must have entered the wrong barcode or the scanner is unable to differentiate between Chicken Noodle and Cream of Chicken. Now, the part that irritates me to no end is, is that 12 cents times 5,000 customers times 100 stores is $60,000.00, - not bad for a days dishonest wages! And, on top of that, the fact that Fred Meyer “KNOWS” that most people either don’t look at their receipts, or don’t remember the price of each item they put in their cart. It really irritates me to think of all of the elderly and low-income people that are being “ripped-off” without even realizing it! This isn’t the first time this has happened; there have been other times where I’ve been “over charged” at Auburn Fred Meyer…. The clerk made everything right and in no way am I blaming her, but I am blaming the system and upper managements’ lack of follow-through to double-check the work of their employees.

You advertise shorter lanes and faster checker out. Well this is not true in your Tacoma Store 72 and Pacific Ave. I mentioned the new ad compaign to one of your Customer Service Managers and all she could say was. That ad does not apply to this stroe. Your cashier stated they were not even told of ad compaign until customers told them. I think that if you are going to do such a compaign maybe you sholud tell your managers so they can get on the band wagon with you. I mean really it does not apply to this store. COME ON FOLKS.

When buying clothing(Great Northwest Clothing Co Tee shirts)most of the time I purchased these at $12.99 or less. Never paid attention to the price tag on the shirts. Today 10/16/2012 the store clerk rang them up at $20.00 each. Seems to me you have to becareful and not trust their pricing.

I was at the Springfield, OR location. Usually where I shop now and the people are ALWAYS curtious and helpful,. even if they are busy and obviously overwhelmed, they smile and do their job. Enough with the figgin negatives. I bet NONE of the people on here compaining would take the time when they had 99 out of 100 positive experiences. Rediculous. Thanks you Freddies for your time and efforts.

You are right Bob, most of these complaints are rediculous. But, the fact is Fred Meyer is Kroger now. It is not the local man's company anymore. And Bob your attitude is straight from Cincinatti Ohio. Buy your stuff and get out. That is an attitude employees find familiar! The only thing that matters now is your financial facade for the stockholders. The stockholders (and Cincinatti)are not going to be happy with Fred Meyers regional leadership as of late. When they find out about your complete disregard for basic human rights you will be deposed. So do not get too comfortable lounging in Hawaii. Only a Fred Meyer corporate dirtbag would write that review. A lame attempt to negate complaints from your customers you treat like so much cattle.

You all complain way to much. Boo hoo, my water wouldnt stand up, boo hoo my feelings are hurt Buy your stuff and get out. You are holding the rest of us up with your complaining.

You culodn't pay me to ignore these posts!

Wow, that's a rlaely clever way of thinking about it!

having shopped at your roseburg, or store recently i noticed a remark on the reciept someting about $250 offer for free grceries if i would do a online survey. i started the survey but didn't finish-to much info to give. about two days later i started to get a bunch of junk mail-at least 4-5 offers each day and it hasn't stopped yet. i think freddie makes enough on their groceries that they shouldn't "sell" my e-maill address. never again will i do any survies that have fred meyyers name on it!

Horrible experience shopping one day out of all the times i have shopped with this company a kart had rolled out of the place you put them when done using. It did some damage to my car the manager came out looked at it matched the kart with my paint on it took pictures and everything. I filled out the paperwork necessary. I had to ask the store manager to give me copies of everything getting faxed in. Which he mad me feel like i was wasting his time. Had no cards available tried pushing me right out. The isurance company that you have only offered me a 25 dollar gift card for 600 dollars of damage. The corporate office here in oregon didn't car either. What's sad is I love shopping at your stores but now Im extremely disappointed in the care i got over this my car is brand neww not even 4000 miles on it.

Accused of shoplifting while shopping their outdoor gardening section. Class Action suit coming soon.

I RECIENTLY VISITED THE STORE IN FLORENCE OR, MORE SPECIFICALLY THE JEWELRY DEPARTMENT. I FOUND A SET OF RINGS I LIKED SO I BOUGHT THEM ONE NEEDED TO BE A DIFFERANT SIZE SO I PAID FOR BOTH RINGS AND HAD ONE ON ORDER IT HAS NOW BEEN TEN DAYS AND I CALLED TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANY INFO ON ITS ETA. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO BADLY BEFORE. I WAS SPOKE TO WITH THE WORST TONE!! HAD I KNOW THIS WAS HOW I WAS GOING TO BE TREATED AFTER GIVING THEM 1000 DOLLARS CASH I WOULD HAVE TAKEN MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE WHERE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING. WORD OF MOUTH GOES A LONG WAY AND I WILL BE TELLING ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY WHERE NOT TO SHOP. I CERTAINLY HOPE THIS WOMEN WORKS ON COMMISSION.

On August 8th I was at the Fred Meyer store at the Renton Center in Renton Washigton to purchase some Spangler circus peanuts from the candy aisles. This candy is suppose te soft and fresh. The candy in the above mentioned. Store was so hard it could break your teeth. I found a store manager and all he said was he was sorry and when they get their shipment. He went on to say they didnt sell many so I had to correct him and told him I buy ten to twelve bags at a time. On the dame day I was in Kirkland, Washington and went to Fred Meyer there. The candy was fresh. So today Aug. 11" I went to the Renton store again. Same old stale, hard, teeth breaking candy.

Your manager at the Fred Meyer in Lacey, Wa is the biggest creep ever and a sexual harassment case waiting to happen. My wife works there and after seein the texts he sends her and hearing the calls and what he says I'm def goin to higher about this. He is the most unprofessional immature manager I've ever encountered!!!

Fred Meyer #? 175 & R 99, Shoreline, WA . My issue is as a bicyclist I do the shopping with pannies & trailer. My problem is I have been blocked from accessing the bike rack, which I resolved, but somebogy needs to retrane the poeple who move the carts to not run off with carts that still have gloves, helmets or anything in them.

I just wrote A note about your store sat 175 & R 99. I forgot to add my email address. pjnautilus@gmail.com

Cristina the store manager in the new Maple Valley Fred Meyer was horribly rude and inconsiderate. I was trying to return an unopened item I accidentally bought two of. I didn't have the receipt so they asked for my ID which I gave them and apparently if you are from Arizona the returns policy and customer service goes out the window. She actually said the only way for me to get a return is to go to the DMV and get a WA liscense. I find this absurd that since AZ doesn't have Fred Meyer then they will discriminate against their residents and refuse refunds. I even offered a Social Security card and multiple other forms of ID AND WAS STILL REFUSED A REFUND BECAUSE MY DRIVERS LISCENCE WAS AZ! I refuse to believe that there is no way around living out of state to get customer service.

normally the store in Richmond kentucky 40475 RATES BETWEEN A 4 AND A FIVE,BUT THIS TIME THEY SOLD MY WIFE AND I A CASE OF SODAS,AND A CASE OF BOTTLE WATER THAT WOULD NOT STAND UP WHEN SITTING THEM DOWN BECAUSE THEY WHERE IN DEFECTIVE BOTTLES.WE CALLED THE MANAGER,AND HE SAID TO COME BACK TO THE STORE WITH THE ENTIRE COMPLETES CASES OF DRINKS.HOW DO YOU DO THIS AFTER ONE OR TWO HAS BEEN OPENED?I NEVER WOULD OF SUSPECTED THIS OF MEYERS.WE ARE DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE WE HAD DECIDED TO DO ALL OF OUR SHOPPING AT THIS STORE BECAUSE WE BECAME TO TRUST THEM,BUT NOW THIS MANAGER SEEMS TO BE TREATING US LIKE WATER AND SODA THIEFS.I OWN A CONSTRUCTION COMPANY,AND PROVIDE LIQUIDS FOR ALL OF MY WORKERS WHO CAN NOT EAT LUNCH,AND SIT THEIR DRINKS DOWN,AND NEITHER CAN I WHEN I AM STUCK WITH A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT.
