i had them for twenty years home got hit by lighting and they would not pay to fix my heat pump 3200.00 bucks when my lawyer got done it was 10gs sue them they turn chicken shit quick
poor ethics and values of hard workin people and taking advantage of people is not right.your client flat hit me and fled the scene and im not getting any justice whatsoever.
I am dissapointed how your officers advise clients with wrong information only to end up sending innocent people to debtcollectors, while they have not informed client of any new changes, the communication with Farmers insurance is very very poor and im dissapointed with their services
Agent Brendan Wigley quoted auto/home/boat/motorcycle coverage on 9/27/11. Things went south immediately and we were forced to cancel 11/23/11 and get coverage from another carrier. Honesty, responsibility, and integrity comes to mind when thinking of Wigley and Farmers Insurance. Now,a collection agency is asking for $134 due to lost of DISCOUNTS they say. We plan to report the problem to BBB and soon as we can.
I applaud you and your efforts Tina!! Victims have to go through enough as it is, they should NEVER be treated this way!!
I had farmer's automotive and homeowner's insurance. When it came time to renew the automotive, my premiums went up (no accidents/or claims). I cancelled. THey agent tried to trick me into renewing..saying they could offer the same as allstate. She lied. I did not renew..Then they billed be 54.00 for cancelling the automotive. Now, it is june and my homeowner's is due on June 24th, they raised by yearly premium 281.00 because a cancelled the automotive in december. I advised them in May, that I would not renew with them. THey billed my mortgage company 881.00 and sent me a cancellation notice. Then said they were billing be an additional 54.00, because I did not pay it in January...why would I? They billed my mortgage company. This is no way to do business! I can see why they have a class action suit against them, which I joined but they keep mailing the card (to join) back to me. I will never do business with these crooks/theives with a pen, again. THey are stick up artists, no different the a theif on the streets...there just in a office! White collar criminals! with no conscience! Deplorable!
I choose 1 star but they don't deserve that. Farmers is the worst insurance company that anyone can deal with. They are all about money and not the customers. Please do not deal with them. We had homeowner insurance with them, and the coverage started out at 597.00 a year and after 6 years the rates had escalated to 1622.00 a year. They were not sending out any statements and my premium is included in my mortgage, so I was not aware of this. When I contacted the District Manager in my area, the only thing he could say was it is because of a rate increase. A rate increase that almost tripled in 6 years? No way! This is not legit. We never received any information about a rate increase, because I believe they were trying to hide the information. My point of view is that Farmers is a sheer, underhanded, dirty tactics company that you don't want to get involved with. Would not recommend them to anyone. Look at all the bad reviews and they have many. How can they do this to the customer and get away with it. No one in the company seems to care.
My email to Mr. Mark Haller regarding my claim: Hi Mr. Haller, I still have not received the letter you told me you were going to send regarding your decision to close my claim after your insured damaged my car while parked. You will hear from me everyday, until I know why your company is not taking care of it's responsibility of fixing my car, in writing. I am turning this in to Florida Motor Vehicle on Monday. I am also contacting attorneys in an effort to file a lawsuit against Bristol West Insurance. I am telling everyone and writing letters to your Farmers Corporate office, Better Business Bureau, our State Representative of Florida etc.., about this nightmare experience I have had with your company. The internet is covered with complaints about how Bristol West Insurance completely ignores claimants and how it refuses claims based on the result that your company was not able to contact the insured and refused coverage to the victim. The very first thing you told me was that it all depended on whether you made contact with the insured. After seeing this has happened to many other victims on the net, I decided to contact the State of Florida Insurance Commisioner's office. I am now on a mission and I'm not going away. Tina Claim #1021139816 If anyone on here is interested in forming a class action suit, please contact me at distantmoons@hotmail.com
Wow. I have been trying to get my business insurance for over 6 months from you guys only to have the most unprofessional and unorganized meeting with Eric who had not one piece of correct information involved with my business insurance. It has become more than evident that he clearly has no idea what he is doing when it comes to these types of coverage's at all and for that I am going to be forced to find another insurance carrier. It is a shame that Kyle just handed his business off to someone who clearly is in way over his head and has 0 customer service skills. This was one of the most horrible experiences that I have ever had in my life over insurance. You guys collect free money everyday from people that never even use their coverage's and you can't even set up a program around a small business like mine. I bet even after sitting down with no note taking Eric for the 40 minute meeting that we had 2 months ago he and you still have no idea what type or amount coverage that I need for my personal business. I will start searching for my home and auto coverage through another insurance agency and let you know directly when I need to drop my coverage. It is a shame because you currently have about 25 people that I set you guys up with Via Kyle that have they complete packages through your farmers agency and I will be letting each of them know how you have done me after being covered with you for the last 8 years. Very disappointed in your lack of professionalism and competence. Good Day!
This is an outrage!! These guys don't even deserve a 1 star!! I wouldn't even insure a toy car through Farmers!! I was recently hit on the side of my car by a young man backing out of a parking stall. He was insured by Farmers. He admitted guilt, fault and responsibility right then but now I know I should have had him write it down. Being he was of Christian faith, I thought the young man would be good for his word. Even though this happened in Calif. I have had to deal with a Melissa Aleman out of Oklahoma. She is a downright horrible, cheating, lying person!! The damage was $450 but they are only accepting responsibility for 50% of the damage stating I was at fault too. When I submitted pictures of the side of my car, I thought that would clear it up. I get a call from her today stating they are still only going to pay 50% because that "could have happened" while I was backing up!! When I yelled "I was not backing up, I was driving down the aisle," she hung up on me. I also found out from the young man's mother that Melissa had told him not to admit guilt and that if he stated he didn't know how the accident happened, they would only be liable for 50% of the damage!! So according to his mother, that's what he did because he HAD to do what the insurance agent told him to do as she was afraid their rates would go up!! Isn't that fraud??? I am filing a complaint with the BBB, The Insurance Commissioner, Consumer Watchdog plus writing a letter to their Corporate Office!! But to think I have to go through all of this over a minor accident, unreal... I am going to do this though because it's the principal of the matter...no one should be treated so horrible!!
I go into see my agent and see that he is sleeping on his couch. And then looking around he has achol on his desk. Uou could smell in on him. What a joke. Guess they dont care what their agents do.
Cheer up people! Having been with Farmers for many many years - my full grown adult children have magically appeared now on my auto insurance policy and my ex-husband, of many years living in the other part of this country, is now magically appearing on my property insurance and if that isn't enough they are double billing and just plain demanding payments when NONE ARE DUE and they admit it and then go screw-up some other policy you have with them! Writing to the commissioner isn't going to help you - don't be so naive -YES!!!!!! It is 100% all about the money and not you!
I have been a Farmers customer for many years now and still am but I am seriously debating on switching companies. Your company has changes the payment process and are making it almost impossible for us to pay on time. Farmers decided to stop mailing the payment slips with our proof of insurance. I am still waiting on a bill and it is due in 2 weeks. So, I have to make sure that I mail my bill out as soon as I recieve it because usually have to give 5 days mail travel time so our bills aren't late. I used to be able to mail it out a month early if I wanted and never worried that it would be late, now I will have to plan to make sure that for 1. I have the money on hand to cover it at that exact moment and 2. pray that it gets to Farmers in California on time so I don't end up ruining my credit!!! None of this makes any sense.
A claim denied. I was in a forward moving car in a parking lot, was hit from behind, and the company has the audacity to blame me and deny the claim. I have driven all over United States, all over Europe, in Australia and New Zealand. The young girl who hit me came running up to me saying: "So sorry, my brakes were not working." Then she later called Farmers Insurance and blamed me in spite of the fact that I had her sign a paper saying she backed into the vehicle I was driving. I don't know how an insurance gets away with this kind of behaviour, but I certainly have nothing good to say about Farmers Insurance.
Absolute worse experience I've EVER had with an insurance company. After 7 years the agent still sends (occassionally) the mail to the wrong address, will NOT return phone calls, will NOT return emails - it's ridiculous. I just tried changing agents/office, and they are telling me that they can't give me better rates like a new customer and it's very hard to change agents. After reading these reviews, I'm just going to go with another company.
I had my home and car insurance with Farmers Insurance Group and I am very disgusted by all the commercials on TV making it sound like such a great company! This company will not pay any insurance claims. I had a leak in my house from overhead and for a while I did not realize that I had the leak. One day I noticed that my ceiling was really wet and I called the agent and told him and ask him if he could come by and check on it. He came by and reached up and touched the ceiling and when he did, it fell down and insulation dropped out, etc. He told me these exact words. He said that the Insurance company would NOT pay for the plumbing or the pipes, BUT they would pay for the DAMAGE that was done. He told me that he would send out the insurance adjuster and get him to check it out. The adjuster came out looked at it, and he also said THESE EXACT WORDS that they would not pay for the plumbing or pipes, but they would pay for the DAMAGE that was done, BUT he wanted to send out a leak detection man to check it out. He did and the guy checked for leaks. He did not need the leak detection man to find the leak, but that was who would be his escape man. When the adjuster left my home, he was walking out by his car and he told me that he would CUT me a check next week and here is the part that I could not believe he said, he said IF that is not enough I will cut you another check. I had never had an insurance man tell me that if it was not enough, he would cut me another check. I mentioned to some family members and friends that knew I was having a problem, that they had said the damage would be covered. The adjuster called me back the next week and told me that they would NOT COVER ANY OF IT! Now when talking to the agent, he was concerned that I was going to call the Insurance commissioner here in Arkansas, Mr. Jay Bradford and I did write to him two or three times, the agent told me that the secret word was, that it was a CONCEALED LEAK! He was setting me up to make sure that it would not be paid for. Well, Honest as I am, that is what I wrote down to the commissioner, and the commissioner listened only to the agent and the adjuster who both told me the same thing, exact words, that the pipes and plumbing would not be paid for, but the damage done would be paid for. They paid for NOTHING! I had been told that the INSURANCE COMMISSIONER, Mr. Jay BRADFORD in Arkansas is there for the CONSUMER and that was who I should contact. The Agent told me it would do not good that MR> JAY BRADFORD would rule for the Insurance Company and he was correct, as MR> JAY BRADFORD, INSURANCE COMMISSIONER ruled in favor of the Insurance Company and they paid NOTHING! Why do we have people like MR> JAY BRADFORD, INSURANCE COMMISSIONER in positions like this, drawing great big salaries, that is only there to help out the BIG BOYS! HE IS NOT FOR THE CONSUMER! IT IS ALL ABOUT MONEY AND HE IS NOT THERE TO HELP OUT THE CONSUMER! REMEMBER THE NAME< FARMERS INSURANCE GROUP, YOU DO NOT WANT TO PURCHASE THIS INSURANCE and REMEMBER THAT INSURANCE COMMISSIONER MR> JAY BRADFORD IN ARK> will NOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP THE CONSUMER!
Had an accident in July, 2011, spoke to Nick Walker and according to the material I received, I was eligible for PIP since it was part of my policy, I am a few months from being 62 years of age. I am being told that I am not eligible and my attorney is stating that I a eligible. I am suing your company because of the ungoldy lies that are now being told to me. I was hit (T-boned) by another driver, I did not cause this accident. I been left no other choice but to contact the media and let people know about the typ of service that Farmers provides and how negligent Farmers Insurance is and when people start to boycott them and they loose business they will, hopefully, start treating clients like clients and live up to the contract that they enter into when they take your money. If there are any other clients that have gotten the shaft from Farmers Insurance please contact me so that we can file a class action suit against them. My email address is dbrown249@ yahoo.com. But until then I will be contact the news and TV media in regards to there unethical tactics.
VERY DISAPPOINTED! I have tried to call your agent, Ben Kacprzk several times with no reponse. I had emergency oral surgey & I requested a change in my EFT date. I called 4 days before left several messages & texted him as well. He finally called me back & said " there was a 90% chance he could change it. " Really?! My bank recently whooped me with $70.00 in overdraft fees! -What ever happened to customer service? Meanwhile, my Son purchased a new car & Ben promptly took care of him! I tried calling Ben again on March 16, 2012 again no response! WHOEVER answers the phone at that office has no clue. It appears that unless you are a brand new customer or purchasing a new car Ben will be happy to take care of you! However, if you are a customer already on the books, he could care less atleast that is my experience, I wish to request a prompt refund of $70.00 & a new agent if you have someone who cares? I am 55 years old, I have an excellent driving record & I have never had such a careless experience! Maybe I should go with, " your in good hands " ALLSTATE! If you can find it in your heart to give me a call, it would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Cynthia Bertram
I had renters and auto insurance in Tennessee and had to move to a different state in November of '11. I called once I got settled in and asked for my renters to be cancelled immediately. My debt came in and was charged for the renters. The policy was not dropped. I called to my agent, Chris Williams of Chattanooga, and he would not take my calls. I e mailed with no success either. I'm looking for a refund!!!!! The whole compant is non responsive and I would not recommend the company to anyone; only at their own peril!!!!
My 81 year old Mother has had Farmers for over 60 years. My Father died 3 years ago and only 1 month ago, I discovered my Mother has been paying 2,162 dollars a year for her 2006 Mercury. She's had no accidents in the 60 years. She receives the bill and pays it the same day. She drives 6 miles a week. What kind of scam are they running? I am upset by the cavelier method in which they have treated this elderly women and demand some kind of satisfaction. We cancelled her homeowners and car insurance and went with a policy that costs her 1\4 the total she's been paying. What is mt next move?
