Family Dollar Corporate Office & Headquarters

I work next to a Family Dollar and often go to buy drinks etc. The other day I was in there and noticed a little boy trying to pick up a quarter but he couldn't pick it up. His grandmother attempted to pick it up but realized it was glued to the floor. I asked the cashier what the deal was with the quarter being glued to the floor. She said the manager thought it would be funny to glue it to the floor. I told her that was cruel for a manager to glue a quarter just to watch on camera as people bend down and try to get the quarter. The cashier told me she knew it was mean but since it was the manager she didn't really have a say. She also said she felt bad that she wasn't able to warn the elderly in time before they attempted to to pick up the coin. I am very appauled that a manager can stoop to that level to even think that that's great customer service. I contacted the corporate office to notify them.

I shop at the store in Cleveland Ohio on the near west side and I have to say it is a very good store and all the people treat you very nice, even let me take the cart outside because I cannot lift heavy things. I hope I never go into one of the ones I have read about here on line because I would turn around and walk right back out.

i work for one of the family dollar stores, i wanted corporate to know that i think it's not fair that when they do contest, like the last cookie contest they did, our store won but only the store manager gets the price. it was a team effort so why is he the only one getting the price? the entire team was doing very good with asking customers to help us win the contest. why are the rest of the team not considered when they thought about the price? THAT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read many complaints about the employee's at Family Dollar. My husband is a manager and treats people with dignity and respect. By the way he is educated and not a high school drop out. His DM gave him a filthy store and could care less about the filth. My husband is woking over 70 hours per week trying to clean up the store to make it presentable to all that shop in his store. The corporate office is clueless or they don't care - their style is management by intimidation and fear. You will probably see more qualified and educated people running the stores in the near futures because those are the only jobs available which is why I gave them two stars - my husband needed a job. Family Dollar's go to market strategy is simple.... buy junk from China as cheap as possible make 50% plus profit margins and treat employee's like animals. This is why unions were invented in the first place and would be a great place for a union to infiltrate.

I have applied at the Kountze, TX store several times. I have extensive experience in retail merchandising and excellent work credentials yet have not received a call. The asst. manager recently resigned and instead of contacting me an entire new crew hired. EXCUSE ME but do not hold it against me because I am of a certain age, am unemployed and have received welfare. View me through the eyes of justice and fair play. Dont push me aside because I am not some 20 something year old.

The Family Dollar in Beulaville is the worst! The employees are very nice except the manager! He is soo rude to his employees. He actually cursed at an employees in front of customers. When I went in there & he was throwing stuff & fussing saying the f bomb. Im shock that these people actually put up with his attitude. When I go in there its a decent store & i feel welcome til Josh the monster manager crosses my path. He needs to be told he isn't God & that he can't talk to people like that! I will not be going back to that store.

Family dollar store poor management with male manager poor customer service !where 4534 w.us 90 lake city florida.egg sale .50 cents off a dozen eggs .sale began nov.13th through nov. 19th 2011.i am diabetic with poor circulation in my leggs! On the first day of the sale i walked up there with the coupons when they opened up.guess what !"there were no eggs! None!oh! Ask the manager! Male .manager states they never got them"well when do you think you will get them? Manager oh! I dont know"i have now idea!"manager maybe tomarrow!when tomarrow?manager!in the morning"so the next morning i make another trip up there.same manager.i ask did you you get the eggs in?manager nope!they were supose to come in but didnt"mayge this evening we have a truck coming in.i ask about what time!'manager oh i dont know!"so what do i do i go back later with my son.manager same one! Same answerwe checked 2 times a day even on the last day.manager male we got them as soon as we opened and sold all of them to one person"like as if im stupid! Ya right!a dua!its the manager who orders the stock and its the manager that keeps track of shipments and knows when his order is coming in.i use to work at at a warehouse done shipping and receiving im not stupid!!!

i am from Olla, La.. i have been trying to get a job at this family dollar here for over 2 mnths.. The manager, Tracy, keeps saying, "once i have an opening, I will will for sure get u in here!" .. a couple weeks later i go in, there are 3 new workers.. mind u, i have 15 yrs exp. in retail on top of manager.. on top of the fact that ONE of new people she has hired, IS A WELL KNOWN CRIMINAL.. was fired from her last job for thieving.. !! well, guess u know now how they hire their crew!! ALL GENERAL DOLLAR STORES SUCK!! AND ARE ALL TOOOO CROWDED WITH SHIT!!

PLEASE bright lights within 50 feet of our bedroom windows. You have a new Family Dollar going up on Glenns Bay Road in WSirfside Beach, SC. They have placed very bright lights all around the building that stay on all night. These shine through the tiniest hole in the shades and bother the eyes or reflect of my mirrors. I get severe migraines, and this is so disturbing to be, as I am so very photo sensitive! Can't you please do something about this? We have two buildings at South Bridge Condo's and are directly in the path of these many lights! I close all my mini blinds but the light is so bright, it shines throught the mini blinds holes the cord runs through, bounces off the mirror door, and into my eyes in my living room./ There is no other option for my chairs or TV set, as these are small condos with limited space. You are making so many people mad, the NONE OF US will ever shop your stores again. My treatments for migraines include botox ibn the head and I recently had an occipital nerve block due to a headache I could not rid of. Just looking out any window from 5 O clock on, causes many spots to be around my eyes.

While standing in line at Family Dollar store in Waverly, OH, the cashier at another checkout lane that was closed was staring at us in line. She is the current wife of a co-worker's ex. She came over screaming saying we were talking about her. I didn't even know who she was. He recognized us because he was standing there talking to her. We left our items and exited the store. He came out yelling at us in the parking lot. He is not employed there. I will never shop at that particular store again.

Was at the NEWEST family dollar store in St. Augustine on 11/6 at 10:00 A.M. We had first tryed the other FDS in St. Augustine and they were out of the cokes that were on sale. She offered to call the new store on US #1 and the line was busy several times the lady called. We thanked her for her time and said we could run down there and see if they had any cokes (Caffeine Free Diet Coke). Well I can see why the phone was busy. The lady was sitting behind a computer talking on the phone. She said I will be there in a minute. She proceeded to come to the register in her "holey jeans" with phone attached to her ear. I had to interrupt her conversation to see if she had some pimentoes. She said no without even checking. I know this was a personal call because she was talking about a DUI to someone. She never acknowledged us except to tell us how much the tab was. No thank you, come back, etc. Good people are out there looking for jobs and this is what you have running your store. P.S. I think I walked into a guy lifing some "vienna sausages" as I tried to find the pimentoes - but that is not my job to confront someone taking your items while your personnel is on the phone/computer. Seems to be a nice, clean store but I probably will not visit it again.

Our little rural town was estatic to find we were getting a FD store. Needless to say, it has gone to hell since the inception because of the lying, power hungry, ugly, unprofessional Manager. Being the little town it is, all of the people who put their applications in are well known. Your little "cute butt Rockie jeans" with no teeth/jaw, manager has managed to keep people out of the store. You have had some very qualified, professional, nice people working there, but her threats of "I'm gonna fire you!" constantly and lying about where she is going and having the employees cover for her has run every one off. She lied about going to CA because of family problems and interviewed for a new job. She makes stories up about past employees who could not stomach her and her constant harrassing and lying. FD could be in for a court battle with the last person who quit because the store manager lied to the corporation regarding this persons ability, late to work and her being on welfare. Well, her own daughter is on welfare. People of Capitan are backing away from the doors of FD. Get your hands on this store before it is another losing store. I might add that if you could get what the people ask for, i.e., brands of cat food, etc., you might make more $$$.

Well hello world... Im Dreya a 23 former employee of Family Dollars. I must say that working with the company and public was a great opportunity that I cherish deeply. I do understand that certain stores are very unprofessional. It all demands on the Staff. My crew we all were very respectful of each other and our customers. I valued my career there. Now I must add I'm no high school drop out. I love the company but I also think they should be more strict than relax about who they hire. My store is located on Virginia Ave, College Park Ga. I began working there after my prior boss fired her entire crew due to inventory. Within months I made Asst. Manager.... I loved it!!! I increased the store sells as well. Yes I would say I was the store ASSET! We also had a great INVENTORY & always kept the store neat & clean. Check out my RESUME!

I work at store 3399 and could not agree more. Our manager is always on his phone, talking to employees, sitting around, putting his work off on other employees, showing up late for his shifts, calling people in early so he can go home, pretending he works from 7 to 7 when he works from 8 to 3, cussing in front of customers, talking derogatory about girls, swearing at his employees, as well as other things. He is the most unprofessional person I have ever met. He's an entertaining and fun person but he should not be a manager. Our assistant manager with the help of the service assistant have been holding up the store and picking up Nevin's slack for too long, but because he only hires friends, no one will say anything. That includes me. I'm too afraid to turn my back on my "friend" even though he treats us all like crap. None of us can take it anymore. The part that sucks the most is that our store manager and district manager are buddy buddy and even if we say something, chances are we will be the ones screwed over and not him. Our team (3399) has so much potential without Nevin. We have brought our store far from the crap it used to be and he just keeps taking the credit. I think some changes need to be made asap!

Fairburn Ga Family Dollar has the worst people running it. They are all rude and do not know how to deal with the public. I experienced a horrible situation in there and I will never shop in that store ever again. My twin sister and mother will not shop in there either. We would rather drive 15 minutes down the road to another one then to go there.The corporate office really needs to start dealing with these GHETTO acting folks that run there stores. Marian an emplyee of the Family Dollar in Fairburn Ga is a Racist and a Rude Ghetto Girl. She needs to be fired and should not be allowed to work and deal with the public.She does not like white people and it shows BIG TIME.Well what she does not know is that I use to manage that store 15 years ago and I could work circles around her GHETTO RUDE and RACIST acting BUTT.She is an awful person and very RUDE.

It is not like anything will be done about any of our complaints on these stores but what comes around goes around and I just hope that these horrible experiences that we all have had with these Family Dollar stores will be read through the Corporate office and that they would at least make a few phone calls to these stores and at least right these people up and check into some of these complaints.I know that the Fairburn Ga Family Dollar store has some of the worst and rude people working for them.They do not know how to deal with the public and treat the customers awful.They are so GHETTO acting and I will never go back into that store.

Family Dollar in Fairburn, Ga. has a GHETTO, RUDE,and RACIST person working there that does need to be working with the public. My two daughters who are 10 and 16 and myself and 4 year old niece went in there on the 22nd of October, 2011 to do some shopping when Marian the rude girl that works there accused my daughter of stealing and when I confronted her with this she talked to me so GHETTO she said " I sure did AND, AND " I have been shopping at this store since 1994 and I also use to manage this store back in 1996. She needs to be dealt with and fast and does not need to deal with the public. I told the store manager which is Shannon a very awesome down to earth person to roll back the cameras and to watch from the time that we entered in the store up until she talked to me and my 16 year old daughter so GHETTO and RUDE and to see that my daughter was not trying to steal and how Marian also acted and treated me and my 16 year old daughter in front of about 15 other customers. It was a day of HUMILIATION.She is so rude and nasty talking to the customers well I know to the white people she is. Obviously she is racist and has issues with white people and white good paying customers that have been shopping there since 1994 well anyway I purchased my items at another Family Dollar the one in Union City , Ga where the girls are friendly and I spent $121.28 that day and my daughter that got accused of stealing spent almost $23.00. The Family Dollar also in Palmetto, Ga is awesome like the Union City, Ga one and they know me at these stores and love me and always have a smile and a hello for me. Thanks to rude ghetto talking girls at the Fairburn, Ga Family Dollar I will not shop there anymore and I have also contacted the corporate Office about this situation and about this GHETTO acting girl also.

This is regarding store in Guymon Oklahoma 73942. I went yesterday sunday oct 23, around 1 pm there was only 1 employee at that time, which is ridiculous to begin with on a sunday there were lines of about 4 to 5 persons all the time. Anyways, I went to the store after waiting for about 25 mins in line the girl that was at the register seemed like she was out of it just trying to get through the day and she actually reeked like alcohol as if she had been drinking just a couple of hours before and she did look a bit drunk too with blood shot red eyes. now i dont know about you but leaving a person alone that is more than likely drunk and taking care of the store now that is just shameful and irresponsible, her name was mary or marissa or something like that hispanic looking and kind of chubby looking so i would stay away if you see her. i really hope people that irresponsible are taken care of they should not be working at a store at all.
