I live the restaurant but why do the maneger dates his employees and make kids with them and all the girls are fighting over him that is so unprofessional and should be delt with.
i worked at chipotle in parma oh and they are just plain awful!!! they show favortism to some employees and others they dont care for they cut your hours back like crazy and on top of your hours being cut back they are editing your time. theyre lack of cleanliness is riduculous and the managment team is just completely awful they do not help the staff once so ever!! even for most of the new people they bring in they dont train them right thats if theyre even trained at all! their cooks either undercook or over cook the chicken and the steak because theyre to busy textin off in a corner somewhere. and the manangement team never wants to give breaks!!!!
i ordered food here at the 29th street mall Chipotle in Boulder CO today and the woman working there accidentally put sour cream on top and not on the side the way I asked. I told her it was ok and not to throw it away she looked at me then tossed perfectly good food in the trash! This is disgusting, you talk about how your company supports the environment, throwing perfectly good food in the trash is not a practice of taking care of the environment, especially when I told her I would eat it! There are people dying of starvation all over the world and chipotle is throwing perfectly good food away and animals meat in that food died just to be thrown away!n Aweful!
I was working for chipotle in ohio my manager told a group of us if she see anymore cups on the counter she was going to shove them down our fucking throats I told her that was a inappropiate way to talk to us and she laugh and walked away. the following week she cut my hours 2 days a week. the following week she took me off the schedule and told me i was not fired but to try to get work at one of the other stores because we did not get along. today I went to see what was happening and she told me I was fired. I asked why? because we do not get along I asked for termination papers she refused. and hr know of the problem some please tell me is my rights are violated can she fire me just because. i had good reviews igotton a raised because of my work what did i do wrong
Best friend was interviewed for a job. Job is still listed. Interviewer is of a different culture and barely speaks English. Interviewer told him he was really liked and would be having a second interview and would get a call in two days. Call never came. My friend called after a few days and talked to the same interviewer and was told the same lie that the other manager would be calling tomorrow for the second interview. After looking at his account online it was only then that he saw that he did not get the job. My friend is white.LOTS of illegals in his area. Guess only non English speakers get the jobs at Chipolte. If he can prove it, he plans to sue.
I would like to introduce chipotle in India. This will be sure market with cash flow positive in year three and net profit in year 5. Would like to discuss more. I am in new York till 4 July and would look forward to hear from manager business development. My new York contact is 6462472590
I would like to say that being fired while training is the most hurtful thing in the world. We had one day off previous to coming back into the restaurant, why wasn't I contacted that I was no longer an employee, why let me know the next day? Very unprofessional, just as well as the General Manager Jeffery Davis at the Uptown Chipotle in Cleveland, Ohio.
I frequent a Chipotle's at the Troy, Ohio location (only store in that locale). My problem with this store is that though the employees are friendly - it's the way the store operates. Being that I used to work at a Chipotle in the Dayton, Ohio area for approxiately 3 yrs. I have a general idea of how the operation is suppose work! The first thing I consistantly notice is there's not enough peronnel on the line! e.g. the press operator begins the order and ends the order...thus the lunch hour line moves at a snails pace. Then there's the reduced portions. That being said I understand food cost but shouldn't the customer feel as though they got their monies worth? In other words will "lackluster" portions engender customer retention/repeat business over time in a competative food market? Also on more than one occassion I've also noticed that the majority at this store don't know how to tuck, fold, and roll a burrito without it falling apart when I go to attempt to eat & enjoy it! I've come to realize what the problem is. It's a lack of good training like I recieved when I worked at the Kettering, Ohio store. Hope this information is helpful. Perhaps the manager(s) can go to the Brown St. location in Dayton, Ohio (25 miles from Troy Ohio) and get some pointers from that store. It's a high volume store for a reason; food is preped correctly, seasoned well, adequate portions AND the line moves...and I suspect tips are good too! since line movement begets great tips! But more importantly - customer retention!!!the bottom line of every business!
Chipotle was great when it first opened, but after the newness wore off the workers slacked off, the managers backed off and the customers have suffered. They (Chipotle) skimp on their meat, and the beans! My burrito had about 12 black beans, when I asked for more she (worker) became irate and gave me about 6 beans more and gave me a minimum of just about everything else. I couldn't believe it! She was behaving like ever bean was hers. I paid for my burrito, it wasn't free. She behaved as if she was doing me a favor by giving it to me. She didn't give it to me! I paid for it! But, I won't again. I'll just go someplace else and you can bet a lot of other people will too! It tasted like nothing, mainly cause it had nothing in it!
Im just wondering if the credit cards are secure. I placed my online order as i have been doing in the past, so i dont have to wait in the long lines. After i picked up my order, an hour later my credit card had 5 unauthorized charges totaling $772.00 to a company called VIVA AEROBUS CIP APODACA MEX.. I googled the name and it looks like a mexican airlines. I cant call because the US number they have is disconnected.

I was searching online for a job and chipotle says they hire at 16 yet when i applied i recieved an email saying i was underage! Is this correct?

All of the comments really are quite depressing. Im not even counting those who haven't worked for chipotle either cause honestly, you dont even know half of it. Do you think steve ells even reads these reports? Does he even care? 13 characteristics, hmph. all they wanna hire is people who give them a "YES" all of the time and people they can bully. Here are the 13 characteristics of every manager that is employed by steve ells; lazy, deceptive, vengeful, spiteful, low-energy, two-faced, manipulative, judgemental, perverted, thieving, dishonest, OCD, wet behing the ears. I stand by every one of these characteristics from real experience. So anyone who has quit, against your will or not, or has been fired remember you were too good for this company in your repertoire. i think ells is focused too much on the quality of food rather than quality of work conditions.
I had an interview last week at the Marina Del Rey restaurant. The manager could'nt even listen to my answers. He was to busy with his roaming eyes looking at girls and what girls were coming in to interview. I could have said the moon is made out of green cheese and that loser would'nt have even heard me.I had my second interview at the Margarita Promenade in Temecula Ca. Four people were interviewed. A kid who just got fired. A young man with no work experience and a young women who i could'nt even hear talking in our group interview. After two interviews it has become very clear that a man of my age with 30 years of management experience does'nt stand a chance at Chipotle. It became apparent they will only hire good looking people in their early twenties. If the corporate office really gave a shit it would'nt be difficult to get my phone number and call me. If the have the balls.
How does it look for a manger to be sleeping with there staff not only have the been transferd but they got there own location were its still going on how that look i know as parent its not were i would seened my kid to work
I worked at chipolte and they are the worst company to work for ever. I worked at chipolte on east colonial in orlando fl I called Sunday night to see when I worked next I came in that Tuesday morning early as always and was terminated because "she didn't see me going anywhere in the company" and I allegedly laughed in a customers face which never happened. The manager who hired me got her own store and a month later the manager who hated me fired me. This manager Shelly would always scream at me in the back of the house and in front of customers and pick on me because im not super outgoing. Anyher girl quit because Shelly treated her so poorly. Also I was never given termination papers. NEVER EAT AT THIS CHIPOLTE in the 6 months I worked there I saw hundreds of cockroaches and they never had people come to spray the resteraunt the GM Shelly O'Hara would tell me to kill them before any customers saw because she knew this could get her store shut down. Chipolte is a horrible place to work and a horrible place as far as customer service and profellionism. So if you want to eat hair or a cockroach leg please visit the Chipolte on east colonial drive in orlando fl.
Ive always enjoyed my experience at Chipoltle restaurants until my recent visit at the Winter Park Florida location. I was upset that I somehow lost an expensive pair of sunglasses at this location. What i found just as upsetting was the lack of interest of one of their employees and the so-called manager by the name of Matt Spurr. When i explained to Matt my dissatisfaction with his employee i used a foul word and rather than trying to calm the situation Matt pushed his chest into mine and asked me to get the hell out of store. I admit i was wrong for using a bad word in explaining to Matt the situation but Ive never experienced a manager getting physical with a customer in stead of using his skills to calm a person down. I truly felt my physical well being was in jeopardy. Matt obviously has very little training and education. Matt also lacks knowledge of the law. If Matts values are the same as that of Chipoltle I wonder how many law suits corporate must have to deal with. Its my opinion that Matt when some day cost this company lots of money for he is a ticking time bomb.
I went to open interview after filling out online application. I'm not racist, my husband is black and I have friends of all creeds and colors but I only saw black people and mexicans working there. I have over 12 years experience in food service at all different kinds of restaurants and was manager at last job. However after interview I received no call back, few days later got an email inviting me to open interviews and next day got another email saying thanks but no thanks because I wasn't qualified enough. Seriously? I've been working in restaurants since I was 16. So I really think either he thought id end up taking his place or he just didn't hire me because I'm white. Will never go to any chipotle again.
Don't believe their phoney adds that their food is organic. The small print reads (when possible) I had believed these advertisements until I went to work for them. The staff is pushed beyond their limits, its fast food and it may be good but these restaurants are next to sweat shops. As a manager I scrubbed toilets, bathrooms lugged tons of ice prepped salsa, guacamole(10 cases at a time) ,worked the grill with no air conditioning and tons of flies landing on me. In between times, scrubbed drains that hadn't ever been cleaned. All to save labor. I was told if I wanted to keep my job to not to say anything to corp. if I knew what was good for me. The general manager even changed my time in and out. The area supervisor was equally threatening. Only to come in to work one day and be let go told I couldn't roll burritos fast enough. I vote Chipotle worst company to work for!
