I will no longer be spending my money in your stores. It's a shame since I live really close to one of your locations and enjoy spending free time drinking coffee and looking through books and magazines to buy but your recent support of an animal abuser/murderer is something I find incomprehensible.

Your choice to feature and welcome Michael Vick as an author in your stores for a book signing is beyond comprehension. He killed animals for sport, for fun, for entertainment and for money. He went to jail for this. He is in the same league as child molestors and rapists; he is a creature who preys upon those who are unable to protect themselves against him. I beleive in second chances, but only for mistakes - his acts were calculated and cruel and done for entertainment. If you choose to allow this man in your stores for a book signing I will never be a customer again. I've dedicated my life to cleaning up the mess that people like Michael Vick leave behind, your disrespect to ALL of the people who give countless hours and financial support to animal rescue, people who take dogs like the ones Michael Vick tortured and somehow find a way to make them whole again, is appalling. I do hope you will reconsider and cancel.

I was a customer of Barnes and Noble at LEAST 3 times a week. I will never, ever spend another dime in ANY of your stores due to your support of animal cruelty specifically the torturing and smashing to death of dogs. You store repulses me now.

This company deserves zero stars for their promotion of Michael Vick! I can't even imagine what they were thinking when scheduling him for a book signing. They obviously weren't thinking of their animal loving customers!

To promote a man who killed animals for his enjoyment is sick I am a huge fan of the nook and recommended it and bought many for my family. No longer.

I'm appalled by your decision to profit from the lies & "celebrity" of a convicted felon who is only remorseful that he had been caught. I enjoy BN. Cancel his appearances, apologize, & acknowledge your poor judgment & I may reconsider my boycott. The persons who spend money at your store & cafe (just at Christmas, I spent hundreds) are not the same who find dog-fighting entertaining: marketing FAIL.

What a bad judgement from B&N to support animal cruelty with this book signing by Michael Vick. That shows that you are only interested in making money no matter what. What will be next a book signing by a mass murderer who wrote his memoires while on death row? As of today you lost me as a customer and as an advocate of B&N.

I also will not be buying anything from Barnes and Nobles as long you are giving that sorry excuse for a human, Michael Vick, a place to spew his lies and glorify his indescribable behavior. My weekly visits are over and I will take as many of my friends, family, and strangers with me that I can.

I am BEYOND appalled that B&N would even consider selling this scum's book in its stores, let alone actually hosting him to promote whatever ghost-written trash carries his shameful name. Does the company also routinely peddle memoirs by convicted murderers, and provide them with promo space and book-signing opportunities? B&N used to be my go-to store for gifts, especially at Christmas, but rest assured that they have lost this loyal customer. I'll be turning in my membership card, and they'll not get another dime from me. Shame on you, Barnes & Noble. Might as well change your last name to IGnoble. I only wish I could give you a "zero stars" rating.

I will not support any business that uses such a controversial figure to sell books. Vick should not be making any money, whether selling books or on the football field, after what he did. He is a dog killer, abuser, sadist. If he is able to do ONE book signing at your stores, I will never spend another penny in one!

I am astonished that any company responsible for education and promoting knowledge would also promote someone guilty of such heinous and violent crimes against dogs. My beloved dogs (pit bulls) and I will be at your stores in protest for sure, holding large pictures of the maimed dogs who were victims of fighting, to remind your customers of the horrid acts committed by Vick.

Used to be my favorite bookstore - but now I am boycotting and spreading the word. Michael Vick booksigning? Shame on you! Surely you are not that desperate. Bought every book I own from B&N, been a loyal customer for years, brought many of my friends to your company. My membership will not be renewed - severely disappointed.

Like Nike, you have proven to be fickle in your moral and ethical values. Perhaps the excuse for a human being that is Vick should be directed toward Amazon? Books are educational and enlightening or provide inspiration and the opportunity to escape; I do not feel that a murdering, cheating, idiot like Vick could offer any of these things if he wrote for a hundred years. He is the antithesis of everything you wish a younger generation to aspire to be. Time to reconsider what you stock and who you promote as worthy of meeting and admiring?
