DON'T DO IT! - ADT HOME SECURITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't ever purchase ADT for Home Security. I am so pissed off! My home was broken into twice in 1 week. First time, ADT said they didn't receive an alert that someone was in the house. The second time, by the time they dispatched the police, my home was turned upside down and all of my valuables were stolen. The policeman shook his head. He said " we we right around the block when we got the call". It was obvious, they were dispatched an hour later. Also when I called ADT, I was bounced around to many different reps. telling the same story and could not get any help. I canceled them today and WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES.

Cancelled Service with ADT. Asked the final balance paid it in full. A month went by and the phone calls started again. Asking for more money due. I told the last person I paid it in full ADT stated that it was due do to the fact that it was in the contract period and the last person made a mistake and money is due. Last week I reported them to the BBB. If this does not stop I will proceed to file harassment charges and other charges to ADT.

worst system ever!

I would have given them a zero if I could have. My system has been down for almost a week. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they said I couldn't. They would leave a message for him to call if possible. He called much later when I was gone. What kind of security system thinks it's acceptable to leave your system down for a week? BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY

Dear ADT: What is happening? I have given you at least 7 new customers, and you promised me I would receive money for the Customers I have given you. I was given a few months of free service for the first ones, and the last one, my Daughter in Bar Harbor Maine, and she got an expensive system. The reason I am writing this the man doing the install at my Daughters, promised me a 57.00 dollar check, and was given all the information. This was done in front of my Daughter, her Husband I believe who is a Dr. and this was done quite a few months ago. I have called and written many letters and not even a response. Why is my question? I won't lost my home without the 57.00 dollars but a promise is a promise. I have been told by phone that a form would be sent. No Form! I have been told by the Portland office a check would be sent, no Check, Why? Who am I speaking with? Why is this amount so much ADT can't afford it? As for my ADT service I really could not ask for better. They are fast, and good folk to speak with. I feel they are far better than any service in the neighborhood, or at least that is what Im told from others. I love ADT, and there are signs all over my hood. No Break in's either! There have been quite a few but not at homes with ADT signs on them so they are the greatest in my opinion. But again a promise is a promise. To Date not even a letter. 7-27-11.

Long story short.....find a company that knows what they are doing and cares about the quality they are providing to their customers before you are locked into a contract with these incompetent morons!

What a way to treat an existing customer. I currently have a top of the line ADT system in my home and am very pleased with the operation of it. I saw an ad on tv for their new pulse system and called in to have it installed, what a mistake. This has almost become comical getting an installer to my home. Do not, i repeat DO NOT attemp to purhase this system or any other ADT product. Asleep at the wheel is putting it mildly. Take my advice, choose another company as i have now done starting this Monday.

I had yes had a scheduled appt with adt this week but after trying to call them so they can answer two of my questions I got transfered to 11 different people and still didn't get answered guess what ,, good buy adt hello brinks...

I am more than disappointed with ADT. NO SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am looking for a monitoring system like life alert. I filled out a form online and ADT called me back. I was going to get $850 + $100 free on installation. I was told I had to buy the entire alarm system. When I told them I didn't want the alarm, "I was told that I don't care what the cost because it is my moms money." He then asked for a credit card number and ss# before he can proceed. I told him I am not giving out this information and he said, "I must not love my mom, if I loved her I would buy this system". To make a long story short we talked for 40 minutes and the last word out of his mouth was that he hopes I don't feel guilty when my mom dies in a fire. I thought it is agaist the law to ask for a social securtiy number.

Had a rep come out and change the settings on my system so the alarm go's off on all the doors and windows when it is set to away mode immediately. Also had the panic button programed on the key chain. Well, they did it, and the STAY setting is like AWAY. So we call them and they sent a rep out and he changed it to AWAY to STAY. Called the rep and they wanted to charge us to send a person out, the system is less than 30 days old, 2 techs screwed it up. Also we had someone come out and order more stuff and she screwed the order up also. Avoid.

There is no service -- customer service or technical service. I had to personally disarm my system that was constantly bleeping including middle of the night. They called me at 1:30 in the morning but couldn't follow through on calling me back during daytime hours as promiosed. There is NO technical service contractor in my city to come fix the problem. Probably because the people who were working for Broadview refuse to work for ADT. Unbelievable. Rude, pushy. I cancelled my service and they want to charge me for over a week of no service and the next three weeks. They say it requires 30 days notice. What a joke.

If I could give ADT -10 instead of 1....I would. They tried to pull a total bait and switch on us. Let me start at the beginning. The first sales person, who was supposed to arrive at 5pm for the appointment, took it upon himself to swing by our house unannounced around 1pm to "leave a card". I know this because he left a VM on my cell phone. Not happy about that. So I called the local office and asked to speak to the supervisor, Doug. Left him a VM and never received a call back. So, okay, stupidly we decided to give them another chance. The second salesman arrived on time, informed us we could do a takeover on the previous system's sensors in the house and we signed the contract and paid our $. So! A few days later when the technician arrives to do the "take over" I get this "oh I am sorry but I can't crack the previous alarm system's code and we will have to install a whole new system at your cost of another $100". I told him absolutely NOT. Only then! did the supervisor, Doug, call me back and try to woo me with a free system and a couple of months with no charges. I said no again. I do not want a relationship with this company at all. So! I go to their Facebook page and posted how unhappy I was and what happened. I got a private email from some Sarah Kennedy who told me not to hate ADT because I am fat. Really? What do the two have to do with each other? Apparently this woman is an employee of ADT at some level. You can be SURE I will be notifying their corporate office!!!!

We are installing a camer and alarm system, the installer arrived at 8am,when I arrived home at 4pm he was still working on the system. He advised that there was a bad sensor and had to check all the windows and pull all the senors. In doing so he pulled the wire completly out of the wood work and clamined there was no wire hooked to the sensor, so he claimed he could not hook the alarm up. So he contacted the sales team who wanted to sell me glass senors at an extra $255, I told him to remove the system because I was not paying more money. After he left, I went out with my kids so they could swim while I was racking the flower beds, and found 2 wires lying on the ground he tried to hide. We contact hi boss, and of course he said his tech would never do that. What a scam, they just didnt want to pay for their screw up, and I can not get anyone to call me back.

I wish I could grant zero stars to reflect the customer service received from ADT. My story is similar to others. I moved and transferred service. ADT strong arms customers by making them sign a new contract for 3 years, increasing the monitoring monthly price, and threatening to charge an early termination fee, if you choose not to accept the new options and not do business with their company. It also took me three weeks to get the old billing statement settled from my old address, after receiving multiple bills stating I owed several hundred dollars. I never had such poor service with Brinks or Broadview Security, all issues started when ADT took over.

We should get together and file a class action lawsuit against ADT. I have had the worst service from them and customer relations since they have taken over the company we used to work with. Contact me at bastabar@aol.com if interested in joining me in finding a good lawyer to represent our group.

Im not happy with them either. If there is a class action lawsuit then someone please let me know. I will be talking to the ATTY GEN. and seeking help.

We got an ADT alram system in May 2008. Within 3 months it was seizing our home phone so that no calls could come in or go out. It was, therefore, useless. We had at least 6 ADT technicians out and 2 AT&T technicians (we had to get the phone techs out to convince ADT that the problem was theirs). Each time we called we would ask for a tech highly skilled in networked environments because I run my company's network from my home. Each time a kid with no experience would come out, claw every wire out of the wall, and on 2 occasions disabled my business network. Then he would call in a more skilled tech. Every time. Morning = hack, afternoon = more seasoned tech. The second guy would repair what the first one did and restore our service but within a month or two the alarm would seize the phone system again. We were promised a refund by our local office but they never issued it and Elsa there wouldn't return our calls. We wrote to customer service and were told we had to fix the problem by paying for a 200.00 upgrade. When we said "no" we were told to pay a 200.00 disconnect fee. They have sent us to collections and we have written to consumer protection agencies and BBBs.

Your ADT Reps are trying to push alarm systems in our Condo Association despite the fact there is "no soliciting"..They are lying ,saying there have been robberies in our development { no such robberies } so we had better buy your System. Any chance of anyone buying ADT is slim to none because of this.. Pebble Chase Condos,Massillon,Ohio 44646
