My roommate and I purchased a washer/dryer set from Aaron's a few months ago. Well unfortunately he was put in the hospital for major surgery and almost died several times. Aaron's continued to hound him over payment while he was in the hospital trying to recover. They even went so far as to threaten to have him arrested over the matter. I was not aware they could do this. We will never do business again with Aaron's and are urging all our friends not to either.
i shouldnt even rate them a 1...We just got back from being out of town..today they called my mother in law and threatend her to tell us that if we didnt make a payment by friday they were taking us to court..first off we know we need to make a payment and second dont call her a threaten her..she told them we just got back from being out of town..We had this problem with them before and they were told never to call her again after the fist time with them..was very hesitant to go back with them but wanted to give them another chance after being told it would never happen again...i dont appreciate this at all and the guy tht called never gave his name..I work customer service retail and if i ever treated my customers this way i would be fired..take care of the situation or we will have them in court for harrassment charges..this is horrible customer service..guess he knew that making a threat would come back and bite him in the ass...sales people are very nice and brad is great but need to get rid of your office help
I have been an Aarons customer for over three years. The West Memphis,Arkansas location is great. Has great customer service and the managers are professional and don't lie to the customers to get you out of there face. I have purchased a living room set and washer/dryer combo and paid for both of them through Aarons. Great job West Memphis!!!! Since then I have moved to Memphis, TN. There store on Perkins sucks. I needed a bunk bed set for my kids. They did the contract, took my money, gave me a delivery date of Saturday 7/14/12. They did not call, did not show up, and when I inquired as to what happened, they stated " we're still trying to get you approved. Ok. Today is 7/20/12. I called. The manager said they been having problems with inventory and are undergoing management changes. I told them I wanted a refund of my money.He stated "I want refuse you your money back but can we do something to earn your business and trust back" I said no. It may not be the store itself, but they need to hire people that are gonna be customer friendly and not lie and give false report. I was approved, used to be a great customer, but I want buy a cup from that store. Very poor customer service in Memphis, TN on Perkins

I've been renting from Aarons for almost 3yrs here in Victoria Canada. I agree and was shocked to see, that their customer service and professionalism all rover the U.S and Canada is the same. With such ignorance and disconcernt for those customers whom pretty much pay their wages if it wasn't for us consumer stupid enough to buy into this company including myself. I paid $3000 for a couch and the cushions slide out asked them many times to fix it before my last payment was made and now that it's made the repair is not their concern. I bought a tv 50 inch and not happy with the sound paid 8 months into it and this tv is not new they will not let me switch to a different tv and continue my payments though the other tv is the exact same at cost. Instead I will have to start a whole new agreement. My income has been cut and asked if I can make a payment a week later instead of the 20 th of each month.They tell me no I have to pay on the 5 th plus they want a full months payment and two weeks payment to make this change ......like wtf is wrong with this company after my shit tv is paid off, I will find another company to get my other furniture.
Poor customer service: I am 46 years old and beeen around for awhile and am not ignorant of people behaviors,peronalities ,attitudes ,Body language etcetera etcetera! Ihave been a customer for at least 2 + years and as customer and consumer! i feel that I am being treated as though I'm just another number /dollar sign whenever i have a complaint oe concern! Especialy with your late fee policy! I work 2 jobs and sometimes get caught up and can't make it in on the due date when it falls on a Sunday and feel like bein punished with the late fee.You sales people have a passive/aggresive " Thats nice I don't want to hear it attitude" .I do not like being treated as if my concerns ( as a regular and ongoing customer/cosumer ) are not important..So it's quite obvious to me that i am just another number and after I am finished with this purchase - contratct I will no longer be conducting business with Aarons.I don't like dealing with people who don't give a crap and just want my Money...Very poor custommer servis with no Ethics (Boise Idaho Overland store)
I leased a sectional that came with a rug and a coffee table. I know because all three items were on the sheet of sale on the coffee table. When it gets to house a week later the "forgot" the rug and say the table was never part of the deal. I'm knew to this and I know mistakes happen. But man I wish I would have some of these reviews first. Come to find out I just joined the get screwed by Aaron's club.
if I could rate it a zero I would cuz in laredo tx aarons is so wrong I hv bought many things and now I hv hv 4 things im buying would have had more but some workers where rude to me n my girlfriend aarons wanted me to pay more n more so I will never shop at aarons r tell my family to go there
This is concerning the Middletown, Ohio office and their regional manager. After two months and 4 close washer repairs to fix the same problem I have had enough. When I called the store back the manager got rude. I told him I needed the phone number of the regional manager over him and he gave me two phone numbers. I called the regional manager and he was very apologetic and said he would call the manager and find out what was going on and would return my call. He hasn't returned my call. I still have a washer I cannot use because it leaks water all over the floor. I plan to call the Aaron's corporate office today and if they cannot resolve the issue I plan to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Ohio State Attorney General's office and the Free Trade Commission. If they had a manager or regional manager that actually cared about the customers I am sure that business would be a lot better. I have always said word of mouth is the best advertizement and I plant to do a lot of talking about the lack of service I have received from Aarons.
I first used Aarons in Dade City, FL and I would give that store 5 stars, I never had a moments issue out of them. However, I moved to Kalamazoo, MI. At first a boyfriend I had thought we needed a King Size bedroom suite. He left me and I was job hunting, I called Aarons up the day he left and told them that I could not afford the monthly bill. All of the associates were very helpful and they were trying to work with me. I understand that the bed I was going to go down to was on back order, so I picked out a different bed. I talked to the store manager, David, a few different times before I was to get the bed delivered. First, the delivery people were suppose to show up on a Tuesday, I had the bed stripped and ready for them to pick up. At 7pm that night David called me up and told me that they were running behind and would not be able to make it out until the next day. They came first thing in the morning, which is what I requested. The delivery people removed the original furniture and then after all of it was out they asked me for the payment on the new bed. WHAT?? I was never told that I needed to pay anything when the bed was delivered and since when did the delivery people take money from a customer? The delivery people had to take the bed back and when I called the store to talk to David, I was told that he was off that day. Shock Shock, I know. The associates worked with me and redelivered the bed for me. I have heard that David has done this same thing with several other customers. He will tell them whatever, he doesn't tell his staff what's going on, he leaves them notes and lets them clean up his mess. Why is he a store manager? He needs to learn how to treat his customers. He either needs to go back through training or find a new job.
The aarons store in LR,Ark seemed great in the beginning my mama purchased a sectional couch and paid it off. But, she got a 32inch tv that should be paid iff they keep calling my family members phones.and my mama had got to mattress set from them they said she paid the king size bed off which she don't. Have a king size bed both beds look like queen size. I believe. They are over pricing my mama and, i got a55inch tv. From them i skipped a payment but, i paid it later.i had to pay on another important bill. Then time to pay it again i had to wait eay pass the date.so they sent a guy to our house i only had a hundred bucks left to my name and the aarons manager was on the phone he had a attitude u can hear it in his voice i told him i got a hundred dollars he was like give to him then it just made me feel uneasy i gave to him but he stil owed me four dollars that's sad u send someone. To get the cash but u don't. Have any change. Ilove everybody at that store but, only God will handle them if they are adding more money than they should and putting it in their pockets. And stuff my mama got it should be paid off she got her bed before i got mine but, mines paid off that don't sound right.but until they do right by me and my family everything will crumble. Y'all. I started the hiring process with this company. Went and passed the drug screen, consented to a seven year background check. For them to tell me that they can't hire me because of a misdemeanor 10yrs ago. I think it's a form of discrimination and I am going to take legal action
My husband works for Aaron's and is being sexually harassed by his immediate supervisor Samantha Moore. He recently came home on his lunch break and changed his work pants and left his work phone in the pocket. She called it several times so I answered it once I figured out what I heard vibrating. I told her he left it on his lunch and asked her to not use his personal line that I would call him so we wouldn't be charged for the call. She then literally cussed me out screaming at me and saying rude things. Then hung up and told the store manager that I was screaming and cussing at her and now my husbands job is on the line. My husband and I are down to our last payment we have always been on time. Since May the store here in Starke,Fl has been trying to get a double payment from us of course that was not happening. So when my husband went into the store last Month in June they ran his debit card and said there was something wrong and it did not take his payment. Frustrated my husband went to the atm and got cash. Went back to store and made our payment. Guess what when my husband returned home he checked our bank account online the payment was taken out of our checking acct by debit. So not only did he pay by debit cared he also paid in cash. After my husband and I both have spoken to the mgr of this store who states he shows no record on his end of the debit payment that it was the credit card machine's error. Stated he spoke to the company and our money would be repalced in 3-5 business. Well now it's been a month and we still have not seen our money. everytime we call the store we are put on hold for long periods of time. They money came out of our checking acct on our end where did it go and I want it back NOW! Or call it our last payment and be done with it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On June 6th 2012,in niagara falls ontario I was phone shopping for a hard drive tower. I needed one with certain specifications, as it had a use for vocal recording. I had contacted aarons and spoke with a sales man named Gary. He told me he had a 4g i4 500g hard drive tower. The price was reasonable and so I went ahead with the application. On June 8th I was delivered at my work, a tower that was 2g amd processor 320g hard drive. I called aarons right away and spoke with ivan. Explained this is not the tower i was told i would be receiveing and this is also used which the contract stated new. He told me that they would order me the right one, and that it must have been a mistake. Later that evening i got a call from gary apologizing for telling me that it was an 4g and that they would order me one. On wed of the following week i called to see if my tower was in. Ivan told me that they never ordered it as they dont carry them. I was very upset and he said he would make it right as he cant return my money, he could only get me another computer. He suggested the all in one hp, i felt at the time i had no choice but to take it. He also said he would throw in a printer brand new for free for all the trouble, and continued to apologize. On friday of that week the new computer was delivered to be swapped out. It was all scratched and the power button was shattered. the "new" printer was missing the usb cords and the installation disc and also had paper in the scanner from the previous owner. clearly not brand new. After having the computer for a week, using it twice it started freezing. Ive been calling for a week to get this fixed.as i was mislead from the get go and my decision on taking the tower to begin with was based on false information. Gary says that they cant do refunds or swap out for anything but a computer. They dont even carry towers there. and that was what i wanted to buy from the start. I called gary to ask what my options are and he said get a laptop for 1600 with beats aufio. Trying to scam me even more. I needed a tower not a laptop or an all in one. and i was lied to from the start. When i asked gary for the head office number, he said what are you going to tell them? I said im going to tell them the truth of what happened. he said so you are trying to get me in trouble then? I said no I was scammed and i need to get this taken care of. As this whole situation arose because you lied to me on that first phone call and told me i was getting something i really wasnt getting. He said that what would happen is corporate would call his regional and his regional would call me, so do i just want the regional to call? I said no i want to talk to corporate as they should be aware of what you guys are doing to people. Claiming used things are new to, i guess new intheir eyes is new to you. I am very disappointed as i also work in a similiar business. I cannot afford to be out the 230 dollars which he said would happen., That money could have been used for a tower that i have needed for over a month now. I dont think it is good business practice or fair that i am stuck with losing out or paying for this all in one i didnt want, all because based on the specs he gave me that day on june 6th that is why i made my decision. I deal with easy home as well, and i guess i just trusted what aarons said. As i have never been in this situation before. I believe they should refund my money so i can go and purchase the tower that i needed from the start, before the lied and scammed me into this situation. I have also contacted the corporate office at aarons and am waiting for someone to call me back.
The Aarons in Irving TX on beltline rd the worst, especially Brian and Reuben.. they are beyond rude, the told my apartment complex they had my permission on file to enter my apartment, they signed my name on the document.... I contacted corporate 3 times and nothing has been done... I'm taking them to court
I set up my payment agreement with the GM. The next time a payment was due I was told that I paid 20% less than the payment which was actually made. The GM told the computer system that I made the minimum payment, a lie, and pocketed the extra. I complained about this online and to friends and they have unanimously agreed that this is just everyday business for this company. "They always steal from you, you just have to learn to deal with it."
My husband and I live in Orlando,FL and we purchased a queen size bed and an ottoman. We were first dealing with an associate at the beginning of the process and we got screwed over, because their wasn't any communication between the associate and the GM. I receive a phone call from GM because over time I would make my payments on time but this month my husband and I are going through hard times this month and I have been communicating with one particular associate. The GM was so disrespectful and rude and I could not believe how unprofessional he really was." He stated to me " I have a right to know what is going on in my store and you need to tell me" in a rude way though. Obviously I can tell that their is no communication and I feel that is an issue.
Well I have been a customer of Aarons in NIAGARA FALLS ontario CANADA now for over 18 mths...I only have been complaining about a repair needing to be done to my television for about 2 mths .this is currently still being paid for... I have made my payments every mth and have had some successfully end.. so I tried to add a new tv on my items list and the manager is giving the run around , i called georgia now 6 times only one time did i get a call back from a area manager named GRANT .... who after we discussed has said he would return another call to be next morning after talking to the store manager..That was two weeks ago im still waiting on call..I would LOVE TO TAKE THIS FURTHER..BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU,,HUMAN RIGHTS, AND MEDIA..Its time they stop making money off of us and treat us better..Aarons lacks the customer service and skills to operate in this field...
I purchased a laptop & paid $300 down on it. I purchased it to use on keeping information on it in our trucking logs. It is an important tool. I didn't know exactly what day my payment was due because my nephew kept it. When I found out when it was it was already late. I called & explained everything that was going on & that I was in Texas at the time but that I would make a payment as soon as I got in. Well in the meantime their delivery/pick up men went to my home which my 92 year old mother lives & got very rude with her. They tore my yard up when they pulled their big old truck right up to the front door. Told her she was lying that I was there. I spoke to the home office but still waiting to hear from them. I got in & went to pay them & they refused to take a payment said they would have me arrested if I didn't get them the laptop by 5 today. I told them the computer was in Ohio on the truck & it would be the latter part of the week before I could get it. I also told them I had spoke to the corporate & the manager Richard said he didn't give a damn what corporate office said. I'm not the smartest person but I have never heard of someone not taking a payment even though it is late especially when you have tried to do all you could & have been in contact with them. They act like we get paid just when we want to & that we can pull money out of our butt. I am disabled & in the past 2 months have been robbed 3 times along with my mother too. All our money & her jewelry was stolen. Our utilities were cut off because someone stole her checkbook & went crazy emptying her bank account in April then robbed us. We may lose our home because of this. Now I got to contend with being locked up after trying to make a payment for the laptop & they refused. I wouldn't reccommend Aarons to a pack of dead hogs. I used to think Aarons was the best place but now I don't. Their employees are very rude, disrespectful, & dirty talking. They better hope I don't sue for damages to my yard. I've got ruts in my front yard from the truck during the rain. They had no right to pull up in my yard. There was plenty of street to park on. This wasn't the first time. Aaron's will never get anymore of my business. I'm talking to my lawyers today & will file papers against them if they continue to threaten me of my family.
