This company is shady. They tell you that they are going to deliver something on a certain day then when the day comes they tell you that your application was not approved. I am currently renting from Rent-A-Center and was looking to change to for a better deal. I filled out the paper work, took it in. I called later that evening to check on things. They informed me that they was just getting ready to call me and wanted to know what day I wanted my stuff delivered. It was due to come today. I called to find out what time and first they couldn't even find my paperwork. Then they finally called me back a few hours later to tell me that they could not rent to me at all. That there was problems with my application. How can there be problems with my application when it was the same information that I gave Rent-A-Center and it was all just fine. To add to the frustration I called Corp. to complain and they gave me the run around on getting someone to talk to. I don't know about the rest of you but I do not want to do business with a company that treats their customers this way. I only gave one star because that is the lowest that you can give. On a scale of 1-10 this company scores a -120 with me. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the Hudson, Florida store, I would say to stay away from the company all together. If you want to be treated with respect go to Rent-A-Center. They might be higher but at least you will be treated like you should.....
i have been a va[ued customer with aarons for years and i live in the city of syracuse ny area and on 6/29/12(time)7:57 i call and gave them permission to take money off my card for the amount of 105.42.Then someone from arrons here in syracuse ny took it upon their selve and went and took 405.57 off my card without my permission at 8:02 and i was told numerious of time no had done this and it was not in their system until i went on line and got proof of my transactions from my card that was giving to me by the goverment. So i went to the store and showed them proof asked for the name of the person that took the first payment and was told by Matt wood that i could not have that information. So I let him know that an inverstagation is going to be taking place by the goverment office that issued the money on the card that they send me and i aslo told him that i was pressing charges.he like well our credit card department probably made the error and took the money and i have to call and get permission to put the money back on your card but he told me that it would take up to 24-48 hours for this to happen. So here i am sitting outside their store calling the number that matt gave me 8602906670 and i'm waiting for but i know this after i am done paying for my furniture i will never get anything else from Aarons.now matt is like come in so our cooprate office can refund the money back to your card so i did and i am going to be all over them like house arrest and if my money is not on my card i'm sueing and two i'm going to the news because i don't deserve this how you going to tell me that my money was used to pay someone elses bill because your worker was careless with my money no he needs to be fired on the spot and then they should take a month off my bill or pay the remaining balance.
I purchased a washer and dryer from Aaron's in Fargo, no on 6/8/12. They both had plexiglass on top. When they delivered the items, they scratched the dryer real bad on the plexylas. When I called the manager at the store, I tried to get the price lowered or bring me a new one. He said I already got a discount because it was a used set. I washed the first load of clothes when I heard water. I den downstairs and the idiot who set up the washer, did not hook the hose to the drain pipe and the laundry room was flooded with water and soap. Then the dryer did. It heat as the heating element was out. I went to Aaron's the next day and told them to pick up the washer and dryer and give me my money back. I was told by the manager that they could fix the dryer but not give me my money back. I called corporate office to complain and was told someone would get ack to me in 72 hrs. They never did.
i am sorry but i do have to let you people know. about 3 weeks ago i called the store here on west 11th ave and asked to speak to the manager and the woman that answered the phone and when i asked to speak to him she wanted to know what it was about and i told her she would not put me in touch with him and to top it all off she was rather rude. now i do not think that is right. i have been a faithful customer for almost 4 or 5 years now and do not feel like i should have to be treated like that because every time i go in to pay my monthly bill i have always been very polite to everyone in that store no matter how i may be feeling. i will always pay my bill there but once i have everything paid in full as long as she is working there my best friend will be going in to pay our bill. p.s. your faithfull customer [ROBERT MORTIMER] 6-30-2012
cannot get them to answer the telephone to take a payment, finally got one to answer, he put me on hold, and while I was on hold, aaron's came beating on my door because the payment was late, have been trying for three days to get through to these crooks over at the tulsa store at 31st and garnett, unless you want the worse customer service experience of your lifetime, I would recommend you bypass this store. mike the manager is the worst of all of them, called at 1015 am and he finally got to work, but said the computer wasn't booted up yet so he couldn't take the payment. what a joke these characters are. I think they get a kickback from late payments.
About a year and a half ago I purchased a 42" Flat screen Tv/Blueray combo from Aarons. We have made payments at $100 per month, actual payment is only $92, for the past year. So far we have paid in approximately $1,500.00 on this tv. At the time we purchased it we didnt have cash upfront to go into a store and buy one outright so we thought this would be a good deal and tried it. About 3 months ago the blueray player quit and Aarons gave us a loaner, two months later I went in to see what was being done about my blueray player and was informed "it hasnt been looked at yet, we thought you would just want to keep the loaner" I informed them that no I did not want the loaner I wanted what I was paying for. About a week later the tv quit so I returned it and was told it was my fault for the dust accumilation. We live in an extremely dust area and clean the dust from the tvs weekly. They gave us a loaner on this too. The loaner works ok but will black out once in awhile. Today, with the payment being only two weeks late a van came and the driver said they were either taking in a payment or the equipment. My mother gave them the check and informed them they had one week to make it right or a lawyer will be contacting them. The driver said "ma'am i can give your your check back and just take the equipment" she informed him "there is over $1,000 already invested in that tv you will take the check and you will have satisfactory results within a week." He left but this type of service for someone paying exuberant prices is horrid and needs to be stopped. We will contact a lawyer if our tv isnt fixed, its bad enough to have to pay double price for a product but to be treated as such no way.
The Aarons in McMinnville Oregon is very unprofessional. I recently purchased an all in one computer and a dining room for my office. All items were sold to me as "NEW" However, the table had scratches and the computer had software that was installed back in 2011. I immediately called the store the same day I received my items and left a message with one of the employees to have their manager Vanessa return my call. Well its no surprise, Vanessa never returned my call, she is the Manager of the store, clearly she has no customer service experience or an education. I'm very disapointed with Aaron's and I will definitely will never give them my business or refer any of my clients. Corporation like Aaron's should not be allowed to do business.
ive done business in the past in florida was quality furniture and all was good but now have doing business in north dakota all is great very well satisfied with everything tv the stand the computer but i ordered a chair which is nuts the price but grand daughters birthday well that was march still no chair well now its july they will deliver in july 3rd i will sign and begin my contract july 3rd i get a 50 off card for anything bought in july they say nope cant use it as was ordered before july well card says when sign new contract i sign this and receive it in july hey same was for april sign outside said no payments until may oh but that doesnt count for me they said i went to read was clear oh well what you going to do i like my stuff but why put offers and try to make a person happy when its just not honored i will continue to pay for my stuff and like it all just as much but i will still feel like i was cheated from those two offers why say them if you dont honor them just hurts feelings everyone wants to save where they can... disappointed

you know i switch to aaron back in 1999 and i have bought lots and lots fo tvs bedroom sets living room set washer and dyers etc you name it i have bought it now being in a cash flow situation i cant get a break. they took all of my things once before cause i was behind one monthly payment which hurt me very bad. now im at the end of a couple of contracts a half a payment behind and here i go again. seens like with my purchase history i could get a break.i just need them to give some consideration. but when i do get caught up and pay off these contracts i am so done at aarons my name is julia mcgee from huntsville al the store i shopped at is located on unversitiy dr
I have been doing business with Aarons in Pell City for many years. I have bouight 4 or 5 brand new dells through them and if any issues came up they would send dell right to my door and solve it. I recently bought a previously owned dell from them. We had it only a couple momths it went out. I took it to them to fix it and they had it three months. Granted the first coule was ( fixing it) then after it was ready it took me a couple weeks to get to the store to pick it up. We got it home had it home one week it went out again. I called got the run around and flat out told they were not going to fix it again because theys aid ti was due to roaches. Well I took it to a computer shop just picked it back up today. The gentleman who looked at it there said there was stuff on the motherboard but it had been there a very long time, more than liely before we ever got the computer. He said when a motherboard goes out due to bugs it tkaes years for it to happen. So for there to be the build up on the motherboard the that means they lied they enver fixed it the first time. Now I'm stuck with 5 payments left on a piece of shit computer that does not work and thats not covered by the warranty ( that i cant get fixed) that it was suppose to have on it. So thanks Aarons you have lost me as a customer. Theregional manager did tell me he would try his best to make it right but he called me back once at home ( i wasnt here) and i havent heard anything else from him again. Aarons now is nothing like they were when they first opened up back then they actualy cared that their customers got good quality and was done right.
No one at Aaron's knows who or how to place a phone call through to a corporate officer and they have no phone numbers according to ROBERT @ 404-231-0011 and that tells me this company doesn't wish to hear of problems. WOW, talk about great PR. Trying to rent an items for a period of time due to not wishing to purchase, I assumed would be easy. Not so, one item, a sofa couldn't be rented but one could be ordered... wait, it is setting there but if you don't rent the sofa, love seat, tables, and lamps and rug as a package you can't rent it. So said okay, I want to rent a recliner... oops, we can't tell you when it can be delivered as we are working up our delivery schedule. Let me speak with the manager... he is at lunch. Okay, enjoy your lunch and I will get my momey back... I HOPE AT THIS POINT. Not like a business that is in business. Why such poor customer relations?
to bad you can not put 0 stars. They were so misleading with the delivery of my television. They did not have the TV I wanted so we had a loaner until it came in. Long story short they said it was in and would be delivered the following day. When it was not delivered I called them and they informed me I had to pay the balance of the new TV before delivery. That is not what was stated when we paid for the loaner she claimed the balance would be added to the bill. I then asked if I came in and paid the difference can I have the TV today and the answer was yes lied to again. They then stated that IF the drivers got back in time they would deliver it. I was treated very poorly and they even made it seem like I was in the wrong. I regret giving them my business and recommend rent a center instead they are much more professional. The store was located on Havana in aurora Colorado and they are just nasty people.
Good afternoon. The last time I emailed Aaron's corporate, I did not get any response about your local store's (EAST HARTFORD, CT) collection practices. Since I intend to seek action via the Superior Court asking for a protective order from harassment by Aaron's employees, I wanted to notify you of my concerns. I will also fax a letter to Mark, the general manager of the Aaron's store in East Hartford, Connecticut. On Monday, June 18, 2012 at approximately 8 PM two employees of the Aaron's store arrived at my home address. I was not home at the time. I was advised on Tuesday morning, June 19, 2012 by my neighbor of the events that unfolded. These employees stole the greeting rug that was at my front door. It was later located next to the building's dumpster covered with some kind of liquid. I was advised that the employees made entrance into my building (which is secured with key card entry) and proceeded to "bang" (very loudly) (not knock, but BANG) on the apt door for nearly ten minutes. After this door banging they went outside and spent another five minutes banging on the windows of the apartment. They also left a brick in the fire escape door at the rear of the building, leaving the building unsecured. This afternoon at 1:30 PM an employee from Aaron's again came to my apartment building and started to bang on the windows with keys which continued for nearly five minutes. The individual then gained access to the building and began banging on the door about seven or eight times, very loudly. He also attempted to open the door by turning the knob and trying to gain access to the apartment. Why would he try to open the door if no one answered the door? I can only assume the worst, that he would have illegally entered the apartment if the door was unlocked. This afternoon I was not home, but my roommate was home and called me to relay these events. Enough is enough! I am hereby giving notice to Aaron's corporate office that I do not want any Aaron's employees on my property. This should be considered a trespass warning. I will also be seeking a protective order from the local Superior Court if any Aaron's employee comes onto my property again. These practices are disruptive and quite honestly, illegal. I am in the process of gathering the money to purchase the equipment that I have leased from the store as soon as possible. In the interim, this email and a copy of said email being faxed to the store will serve as written notice that employees of Aaron's are to cease and desist from coming onto my property in Hartford, Connecticut and should be additionally considered a "no trespass" warning. These practices have caused a great deal of turmoil and fear at this building on the part of other residents and my roommate. I thank you for your attention to this matter and ask that this email be forwarded to the appropriate person at Aaron's corporate office for official notice. Submitted from Hartford, Connecticut via email to Aaron's corporate offices this 21st day of June, 2012 at 3:00 PM EDT.
I recently applied for a job at aarons in the town next to me and they wouldn't approve me because I have a felony that is ten years old and they said that I lied about that. You it is hard to judge someone by their background because people are not always the same as on the paper. I feel that, that was very judgemental and ironic when most jobs don't even go back but seven years. The funny thing is is that i had told them and even offered to show them the paperwork but the corporate office don't care and would rather some hair brain idiot and I know that i was very qualified for the job.
Aarons on US 1, 10230 Hwy. Us 1, Port St. Lucie FL 34952 (772) 335-4441. After being a customer for many years in Florida and also in Troy, New York these guys have disapointed me so badly. I have made them business by buying items off in NY and here in Florida have brought them new customers and recently due to personal matters instead of oweing them or being behind in my payments for a living room which was in mint conditions and still with tags on them, this furniture was ordered thru a magazine because they did not have it in the store or stocked any where. I had them pick u the furniture to hold until we got situated. Well lord and behold they had the furniture maybe 2 weeks, when I went to make the store from a far you could see my set in the back, but on the floor as a display was a rocker that looked like the one from my set, I said "John this can not by my rocker its torn, ripped on the right hand side really bad", John said "oh no your set is in the back with the rest of your set". I believed and trusted these "new people". When the delivery guys came to my house is when I was told by them the rocker was torn and riped and that the store manager Tania new about it and for me to call her to make arrangments if I was going to stay with it or return it. I explained this story to the delivery guys which were the same guys that picked up the furniture & remembered the good conditions it was in and understood why I was so upset. We contacted Tania the store manager and she came up with 20% discount, this was unexceptable, they could have sold this furniture brand new when it left my house. I took pictures of all 3 pieces damaged and contacted the reginal manager and as I speak we are sending him the pictures of the terrible job they did with my furniture. The reginal manager was very understanding and very helpful and gave me a good deal BUT! the most important part is the qual
I am very disgusted with the Aaron's in The Dalles, Oregon. Your so-called new manager is a real ass hole. I have been a confirmed Preferred customer for a long time. I have paid my accounts and I am getting ready to pay-off computer in next two months or I am paying it off at the end of this month. I don't appreciate the rudeness at all. Just because, there have been a few times finances was short-or we did not like a product and returned it. The manager said it would be 6-month or a year before I can buy anything new.
I have read several of the complaints here and have to say that the Aaron's store in Gastonia, NC has for us so far been the exception to these other horror stories. We have a dryer from this location and are on track with their 120-day same as cash contract. My wife was at the store last week to make our second payment. The payment posted to my debit card two times, taking the same amount for both transactions. This of course made me very unhappy and i voiced my frustration loudly and angrily to both employees and the store manager, Mike. Apparently, there was some problem with their card processing system and one of the charges will 'drop off' and restore to my debit card. Hopefully, this will not take more than a few days. I am not totally happy with that, but Mike made the effort to track down the problem and dealt with my unhappiness in a professional way. By the way, the dryer was delivered on time, with the proper wiring, by a courteous driver. So, we are very happy with this Aaron's location, their staff, and management.
I always paid my agreement every month, manager in lexington Kentucky is so rude , unpolite . I will never do any more business with them. I called the district manager who was more unpolite than the manager, .. If you want to be treat lright go somewhere else.. Not aarons
my name is ROBERT MORTIMER. i believe i have been a customer of your company now for almost 5 years now and i plan to be one, for a long time to come but i cannot get over the way one of your sales people kind of brushed me off when i asked her if i could talked to the store, manager and even though i told her what i wanted to talk to him about she still did not put me in touch with him and i do not think it was right. p.s. i am not mad or upset any longer but i just do not like being put off like that.
