I am a customer at the Super Stop & Shop Supermarket on Co-op City Blvd. in Co-op City in the Bronx (N.Y.)and I must admit that this is the best supermarket I have shopped in. I find the prices are reasonable and the sales are awesome. The store is exceptionally clean; the shelves are always stocked and the workers (stock workers, Deli, Produce area, cashiers, etc.) are professional, pleasant, helpful and go the extra mile for the customer. The Managers are excellent. They have a warm smile, pleasant and always willing to help or get someone to help you. It is these Managers and workers that make this supermarket soooooooo special and make you want to return on a regular basis. I travel to this supermarket and it is worth the travel. My shopping there is always such a pleasant one. I walk in with a smile and walk out with a smile. Thank You Stop & Shop.

to whom it may concern.... I have been shopping in maspeth stopandshop for 12 years. And never have I seen such rude behavior by your mngment team...I am so dissapointed I truly am I have stopped shopping there and I have and will encourage others to do so as well..

When are they going to fix the lights in the parking lot in Middletown Ct.? Three main lights on one side of the parking lot are out for weeks now!!! The parking lot is completely dark on one side I'm sure they are losing business in the evening. I for one sure won't shop there In the evening I'll go elsewhere......

stop and shop products are in my opinion terrible other manf.rejects,like sliced pickled beets 16 oz 88267 023398 which are 80%"end pieces" and tough as nails,my wife shops at your store every week,why because she is cheap just like your named products.i told her if it says stop and shop on the label DO NOT BRING IT HOME.the beens are green giant re-jects along with other veggies.stop and shop branded stuff is cheaper because it is cheap quality and others rejects!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! philip sharp 11 nancy circle rehoboth,ma 02769 commenT???

Regarding the Stop and Shop on Kings Highway in New Bedford: Stop and shops new expression is something to the effect that "We can help." I would like to commend Dave, the grocery manager, in living up to that expression as he went out of his way to obtain from another S&S your discontinued Sweet Onion and Grill sauce. It was an awesome product but becvcause it was being discontinued it was not available for purchace locally. He sent one of his employees to another S&S to pick up the remaining 4 vials of product on teh shelf. That level of service has not existed for years. We have shopped at S&S all of our lives and this is one of the reasons why..................

Wow, after reading the comments in this section I'm surprised Stop and SHop is still in business. I am writing to complain about the Wayne NJ store in the Preakness shopping center.Due to medical issues i must use the batroom quite often. I find this stores bathrooms to be unsanitary and gross. I spoke with customer service people here about this three times. If you cannot keep the bathrooms clean what must the areas look like Behind closed doors. I am done shopping here.Shoprite in Oakland has way better prices and worth the few extra minutes drive.

i have been shopping at the stop& Shop in n canaan for 5 years since it opened, I loved this store a lot of my friends work here, now it's all gone to hell. I used to bring my mother asnd father in and aunt and unclke who are elderly, but now I do not bother even my friends who work there hate it, there is a new manager and we have never seen her but she is evil personified, everyone complains about her she does not treat anyone with respect. When I shop there are always out of stocks or the employees are all so tired from slaving away because of lack of help, that the shelves are bare, the emplyees are all worn out, and not a smile to be seen, bring back John Richardson he was a nice man!!!!! Also I have just learned my favorite meat manager has been sent away I can't even get the special cuts of meat he always got me , was nice to see a familiar face every week where is this place going? straight to hell

stop & shop is not the best place to work, they lie to you, they tell you not to do something and then they go and do it they say they have an open door policy, but when you go in and tell them the truth about somebody, and that somebody should have gotten some disciplinary actions taken towards them it doesnt happen, they make rules that only some people have to abide by, i thought all rules should be applied to everybody regardless what position you hold, honesty does not pay at stop and shop would never recommend anybody to shop or work there ever

stop and shop sucks i work there and they treat their employees like crap, no raises cuz we make such a killing at 8 bucks and hour, rules only are put on certain people and the others dont have to abide by them, really? i was lied to by brandon dellay and mia johnson, i was open and honest with them but they could not own up to the responsibility of being hones with them, mia told us no eating or drinking on the floor then 2 hours later she is eating on the floor. wtf? practice what you preach

What has happened to the staffing at the Stop and Shop in Hyannis?? Have you cut back on your staff...twice now, trying to get a little grocery shopping in before having to be at my job at 8:30, ran in to get a few items, but now way to do this as you had one cashier on which left my no choice as there were already 4 people with full carts in line to go to self checkout...these devices are always like playing the lottery...well this morning nothing worked, would not scan, decided that the bagging area was full with only 3 items...I cannot afford to go into your store and waste my time anymore. Last week I tried to ge something done at the customer service desk, again figuring it would just take a few minutes at 8:30 in the morning..no one was at the desk and I could find no one to tell me why the lights were out and there was no one there. I have been shopping at your store for 15 years, sometimes in and out twice a day, but someone better pay attention to how this store is being managed. The staff is always wonderful, but just don't know where they have all gone? Looks like you are getting ready to close your doors

As a long-time resident of Westport and someone who has shopped in Stop and Shop for years. I now go to Shoprite in Norwalk to Shop. The Stop and Shop in Westport has slowly gone down hill. Most of my neighbors and friends in town feel the same way and only go there when they have no choice. We were all hoping that when Shaws moved out we would get a ShopRite. The employees are rude, they act like they are doing you, the customer a favor. Don't go to the deli on a busy Sunday or when a storm is coming, you will wait an hour or more and the employees don't seem to care. The selections that they now offer and the produce is horrible. No variety and not always that fresh. The prices are much higher there as well. I overheard an employee tell a customer, when they complained about price...."This is Westport, so the prices are higher." That was it for me. I will pay for price and quality...... Nancy

I recently was ''let go'' from working at the Stop and Shop in Manchester, NH because I asked about being transferred to Mass. I was told that I was being fired because I had a better chance at getting the job in Mass. by applying than them transferring me. I have had more problems with Stop and Shop than any other grocery store that I have worked at before. Most recent problem was my pay check, they said that I would have it on Thursday February 3, 2011 and when I went to the store to get it, they said it was unavailable and to show up at 3 pm. so I showed up at 3 p.m. and I was told that the check was sent to the corporate office to be fixed. When I worked at the Stop and Shop in Bedford, NH I was told I was working 5-10 p.m. when I was really supposed to be there 10 a.m.-5 p.m. multiple times I was told I was not working when I really was, and I was told this by a manager. Stop and Shop is the worst grocery store I have ever worked at or shopped at. The prices are ridiculous AND they don't honor coupons where other stores do. Stop and Shop should be out of business.

I shop at the Easton Aveanue Super Stop and Shop. I went to the deli department, there were three people working, they were all loudly having a indecent conversation, I was the only customer there and they ignored me for 10 minutes. I was going to get the manager, but when i looked around there was the manager, she was looking right at me, then she glanced at her help. I was sure by now she would say something, but no, she continued what she was doing. I coudn't believe it, I finally said loudly, "Can I get some help here," and they all stopped, looked at me, one girl mummbled "go help yourself,". I just walked away, it really wasn't worth it. With a manager that doesn't care, no wonder her help acts the way that they do. I will never shop at that deli again. Something really needs to be done about the customer service at this store. I know im not the only customer who loves that store but hates that deli.

January 21,2011 Yesterday, I went to the Stop & Shop on Dartmouth Street, New Bedford,MA.. corner of Rockdale Ave. A Market Basket opened in New Bedford Oct. 2010.. and has been a shinning star.. Clean,customer service wonderful... prices.. on and on.. I decided to pick up a few things at the Stop & Shop mentioned above.. (the few things totatled $57.00 ) I neede to go to the bathroom.. When I opened the door to the Ladies' Room.. Whew!! it smelled like a sewer !! The doors to 2 out of three stalls were open.. apparently they stay open after use.. One toilet was loaded with feces.. urine lots of toilet paper.. I didn't dare to try to flush it.. The second had urine in an unflushed toilet.. lots of it.. that one I gingerly flushed.. It was worse than a portable "pott" outdoors.. It stunk !! Horrible!! I didn't want to wairt in line at the courtesy counter.. told my cashier.. (didn't go into all the gruesome details).. she quickly alerted someone.. In the meantime, the young bagger left her post and a male (possibly a manager) took over bagging.. I mentioned this to him.. He said"it's being taken care of".. I replied,"that's not the point, THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN !! YOU SHOULD HAVE AN EMPLOYEE CHECK ON THE REST ROOMS SEVERAL TIMES A DAY !! KEEPING IT ALWAYS CLEAN!! iT'S MARKET bASKET for me.. there rest rooms,prices,employees are better trained.. and the rest rooms ARE CLEAN !!

I have been a dedicated customer to the Somerset, Easton ave. Stop&Shop for 27 years. Everything was great when Gerry Ryan was managing he knew how to take care of the store and make the customers happy. Now you have a Mike managing, everything has changed, and it keeps on changing, thats the problem. I understand that change is good, but not every week. It seems like every time I walk into produce its been rearranged, I have to go searching for the things that I need. Make up your mind!!! When i go shopping, i want to get in and get out. When things are constantly changing it makes this impossible. I shop in the morning before i go to work, one thing that i loved about Stop&Shop was, I would go in at 7:30am and everything would be set up. Bakery would have everything baked, i could pick up a muffin for breakfast, produce was beautifully stocked and fresh. The store would be in an overall great condition, God Bless Gerry Ryan. The store is in shambles now, it is obvious to me that the managers run that store. Not many of the part timers are much help. I've noticed that management does not come in until later in the morning, as a result the store isn't put together as it once was. I walk in and the store is a mess, nothing is set up, nothing is fresh. Please bring back the help to the morning. I just feel like that store is falling apart, it used to be so nice, it is a shame.
