We bought a new GE electric Profile range in October of 2009 from Best Buy. Thankfully we bought the 5 year extended warranty. Since we brought the range home we have had 5 service calls as a result of the range giving us an error line on the display. Along with this error line comes a sharp pitched constant beep that can only be stopped by unplugging the range. With each shut down of the range, it is the exact same problem each time, comes a timeframe of 10-14 days minimum without a working range until the repairman can come and replace the parts. So with dependants I am out a range for weeks each year. The repairmen come and replace the same parts everytime. I've paid an electritian for his work to ensure the wiring wasn't at fault and to no avail. This peice of crap keeps breaking down and causing me hundreds of dollars to feed my family when the range stops working. On top of all that GE continues to try to sell me a warranty stating I am without one, despite having a 5 year extended warranty already. The parts that have been replaced in this range tally more than what the range was originally priced. Over $1800.00. I'm through with this piece of crap. I will be selling this range as soon as it is repaired and buying a much more reliable range, and it won't be GE or any other stove GE has anything to do with. What a disappointment!!!!!!!!!!!!!

General Electric Company 3135 Easton Turnpike Fairfield, CT 06828 Attention: Management I have written you before on my GE Profile washer, that I absolutely HATE! What a surprise…you never responded. Before the year warranty ran out, I had a technician come out to verify it was working properly. Supposedly it was. I realize this is an energy efficient machine, but when I can only put five pieces of laundry in, it’s not energy efficient to me. Now, its not even two years old, and it has a mind of its own. It ran all day long… nice…I am no appliance tech, but it’s obviously the computer board… I think I will just put it in the back of my pick up, with a sign on it, letting the world know you don’t care about your customers. I will also contact all the local companies that carry GE appliances to let them know you will not stand behind your products. This machine was purchased at Lowes for over $550. It’s not a “cheap” machine, and your products should withhold a lot more life than a year and a half. Ideally, I would LOVE my money back to purchase a new washer, but I am sure you will not honor that due to your lack of response from before. I will list my opinions everywhere if you do not respond back in a timely fashion.

GE water heater is garbage. I purchased a 9 year warranty 49 gallon gas water heater. It broke and leaked water when it was 10 months old. For this reason, I lost 1 month rent and $2000 property damage. I called GE service, and they told me that GE just simply out-source the GE brand to a small manufacture. The small manufacture swapped a new water heater for me, but refused to pay the damage and rent lost.

GE profile refrigerator is garbage. plastic parts in microwave keep breaking. no response from ge customer service. no contact info for senior management. GE charges ridiculous prices for plastic replacement parts. same for wheels in dishwasher. almost one hundred bucks for plastic wheels. what a crock. NEVER buy GE anything

I read all of the negative postings about your products. I wish they had the ones you made in 1954. I found one in top shape at a Garage Sale. It has never given me a bit of trouble everything work. I have several vintage items by G.E. Percolator etc. They are at least 40-50- years old. Though I love mine, maybe you should start making them like you did when you took pride and time in your product. Again, I love mine but it is 56 years old. if anything I should be the one complaining. Terrible customer service not to repair your product at your expense in such a short time that the customers have had it. If I had to buy a new item of yours, I would have to think long and hard and probably would not. What a shame that your Company produced a beautiful piece of work 1954 Liberator, and now it is nothing but cookie cutter products with no pride

I had planned to install all new GE appliances in my new kitchen, as I have used GE applicances in all kitchen remodels. Now that I have learned about the taxes not being paid by GE, I will boycott your products and will no longer recommend them. This won't affect your bottom dollar much, but it matters to me. I have to pay my taxes, why don't you?

We have had nothing but trouble with our GE Appliances and will never buy another GE Product EVER! Everyone I can tell will know that GE products are JUNK! We hate General Electric !!!! What a joke!

GE Profile Over-The-Range Microwave - JVM2070SK - LOW Quality At 2 yrs it began shutting down on any heating job greater than 3 mins. Then I'd have to unplug it for a minimum of 30 minutes to get it working again. When it got to 2-1/2 yrs I started calling again but continued to be advised that I would have to pay if the tech could not see the problem at the time of the visit. Then it also would cut off if it was used too close together (one heating job after another). Even after I had my electrical checked I got the same response from GE repair. Again the problem was random but increasing. I finally got repair to come out when the circuit board touch pad was mis-firing completely. I have tolerated this poorly designed circuit board for more than 3-1/2 yrs of its so called 4-1/2 yrs. Now that it has completely died your Customer Service Reps are treating me as though I have had the used of a "good" product for 4-1/2 years. I absolutely did not. Furthermore, I would expect a product from this caliber to last far longer the 4 years! With this price of this unit you should be appalled that it is routinely bested by countertop models for less than $200. As a company and brand I expect and deserve better from GE. I guess you don't give a crap about your customer after the cash is on your books. What an Awful Company!

When the top earning American company pays no taxes whatsoever, in fact gets a multibillion dollar refund, you can bet that I will no longer purchase any of their products... ever! I'm not the only one that feels this way. GE should be ashamed.

MY PARENTS WHO ARE IN THEIR 80'S PURCHASED A GAS RANGE FRONM A LOCAL DEALER. THEY'VE NOT HAD IT FOR SIX MONTHS AND HAVE HAD A REPAIRMAN OUT TO FIX IT 7 TIMES. MY MOM HAS RUINED AT LEAST 2 ROASTS BECAUSE THE BURNER SOOTS UP AND QUITS. ALL THE BURNERS ON TOP OF THE STOVE DO THE SAME THING. MY PARENTS CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS TREATED VERY RUDELY AND DISRESPECTFUL. I WOULD LIKE TO DROP THAT RANGE OFF IN YOUR FRONT LAWN BUT I WOULD GO TO JAIL. BUT YET ITS ALRIGHT FOR YOU TO CONTINUOUSLY RIP PEOPLE OFF OF THEIR MEAGER FUNDS. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF. SOONER OR LATER THIS BEHAVIOR WILL TURN AROUND AND BITE YOU IN THE A--. YOU DESERVE IT

When I purchased my kitchen appliances all of them are GEProfile. The microwave has been on recall, the diswasher on recall and told by the customer service person I should turn the circuit breaker off immediately. This ended in being replaced with the company paying $300.00 and costing me $900.00. It that is not enough they put in some mechanism in the microwave and it makes a very strange noise. Now to the freeser at the bottm refrigerator: two service men hav been here said they replaced the fan, because the frig leaks and loses the coldness. It is Saturday night at 7:18 pm and the butter is soft, the milk, water and food are slowly getting warm. I am a senior citizen and I cannot replace the appliances and the food, plus the service call cost $266.00. From that service call they have been here 3 times I think and the had three fans sent, saying: because one is broken in shipping we will get two the next time. Fans arrived, tech #1 arrives, "oh one of these are broken", he says he put in one of them, here we are into two weeks and my food is thawing out for the third time. Suggestion?

My husband and I are senior citizens. After waiting a lifetime we had the opportunity to build our "dream home". We had lived in at least four other homes of varying ages, but primarily 30 year old houses. They all came with used appliances, so when we built our new home we were so excited to have brand new everything, including appliances, something we'd never been able to afford before now. We chose what we considered "the best" we could afford, your Monogram series. We have been in our new home for four years, now, and to say we are disappointed with your products is a major understatement. The washer malfunctioned first--one of the electronic circuits malfunctioned so we could not use the liquid softener feature. This was in our second year at our "dream home". The microwave finish inside the microwave is all peeling. The appliance repairman said it was due to our popping corn in the microwave. We hardly ever popped any popcorn upstairs, but rather chose to use the one in the basement, a used 20 year old microwave from Sears we inherited from our daughter, who used it in college. The refrigerator's water in the door feature and ice in the door feature stopped working. Nice! Now the dishwasher is leaking and has ruined our custom scraped wooden floor in the kitchen. Unfortunately this happened while we were away, so all we could do was turn off the valve so there is no water running into the dishwasher. Last year we had to have the repairman come out and repair the dishwasher. Now it's something else gone wrong with it. Due to the economy, my husband had to move out of his office, and our funds are extremely limited to primarily social security we draw. We had to drop our homeowners warranty protection plan, and we have no funds to repair the Monogram appliances which were so highly touted. There are only two of us in the house, so I know the fault does not lie in overuse or abuse of any kind. I would like for your company to repair our appliances at your expense. Surely your products are better than this, and we simply got lemons! Thank you, Alice Ihde

I expect to hear back from you, and will start posting the response I get on my facebook and twitter accounts. Alice Ihde, 4716 Goldeneyes Ln., McKinney, TX 75070 214-642-4943

We bought our front load washer 3 years ago and have had nothing but headaches since. It constantly goes out of balance no matter what size load we do.It is a piece of crap it is supposed to be energy star compliant bullcrap. This is the same GE company that makes eqipment for our space program and for our military makes you wonder how they get goverment contracts. I am warning everyone i see that is thinking of buying Ge products to boycott them. We have a load of clothes in the washer right now and it has been going for 3 hours now Yes 3 hours DON'T BUY GE PRODUCTS THEY WON'T HELP YOU, THEY SAY CALL A REPAIR MAN DONE THAT AND THEY SAY TRY ADJUSTING THE SIZE OF THE LOAD GE IS CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!
