The dollar tree in lees summit mo need to do background checks on there employees......

It's 9:15. The store was supposed to be open at 8AM it is now 9:15. There is a group of people waiting outside INCLUDING employees. No note or anything about what is going on. This is poor service, not only for customers but employees.

Since when does dollar tree hire ppl on parole for theft to be there store managers..........

I received went to my local Dollar Tree Stores located at Deer Trace Mall in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. In the past the store was always in a disarray, unorganized, and just unkept so it gave the impression that it was also a dirty store. Well, just yesterday I went to this very same store and was very taken aback right when I walked in. I noticed immediately that the store looked different. I looked around and took a closer look and noticed that it looked organized, kept, clean, tidy, and just a store I wanted to stay in for a while longer than I had time for. I talked with a clerk named Ruth and I told her all of this. Ruth said it probably has to do with the fact that there is a new manager as well. I asked if the new manager was working and she said yes, and then proceeded to walk me down an aisle where I met Mary, the new manager. I told them both what a difference they've made to this store and how much I enjoyed the new look, ALL due to their hard work and organization. I hope that the Corporate Headquarters reads this posting and can then take a look at this newly managed, newly organized/tidy store.

Hi every1!! All I wanna say is that I have been workin at the dollar tree for 2 years already. I do the best I can on greeting customers, offer them my fiterd item, tell them all about the survey on the back of the recipt and come in pretty much every time they call me in but for some reason the have only gave me a .15 raise. I really want to know why?!?! .... So is it right for them 2 only give a .15 cent raise in 2 years?? Other than that I love the DOLLAR TREE :-)

We have been purchasing all the different solar flowers Dollar Tree has been selling. We were going to the store to purchase them in Marion, IL but the manager there is rude and they also sell their items that are supposed to be sold on Friday's ahead of time. So when you go to purchase them on the correct day like the ad says they are already sold out. Since, we have started going to the Carbondale, IL store. The manager there is so nice! She knows who we are when we come in and exactly what we are there to buy. She said Marion store knows that they are not to put those items out until the day the ad says. She makes sure her store follows the ad! She said we could have cases sent to her store with no shipping charges. So, we did just that we ordered a case of the Crazy Daisy Solar Flowers the day they were available for purchase online ( 7-27-12 ). We had an email saying thank you for your order and we would get updates as they became available. 8-6-12 we received an email saying our order has left the distribution center. 8-7-12 we received an email stating our order was ready for pick up at the Carbondale, IL store, print the email and bring it to the store manager. When arriving at the store no one could find our order. The man working would not even go check in the back. We called Dollar Tree Direct and asked them about it and the lady said that she sees the order is complete and should be at the store. We went back to the store and the lady working checked the back and could not find the box. she called someone and they told her that the order had been shipped to a store in Arkansas. I called that store and they did not have the order either. I called Dollar Tree Direct back and they said that the item sells out fast and the order was taken but the distributor ran out. I said they needed to have better communication and someone should have emailed or called. They just kept saying that they understood my frustration. They are now sending an order to our house but we have to pay shipping since its not from the distribution center that comes to our local stores. I don't think we should have to pay the shipping for their error. I asked for a supervisor and she was more rude than than the first lady. she said they can't take off shipping charges. I think they have to since it's their fault they can't communicate very well with anyone. She tried to make it sound like she was giving us a deal with the shipping but I informer her that the $4.95 flat rate is what they are offering everyone on the site through 8-18-12. Everyone has a different answer the only thing the same is they can't take off the shipping. I told her they need to communicate better with their distributors and customers. All she could say is she would pass that along to upper management. To top that off later that evening we get a new email letting us know that we abandoned our package at the store and our credit card would not be charged! How did we abandon it if we were there twice to get and no one seems to have a clue where it is!!! We are still taking the package with the shipping BUT I do not think the customers should have to pay that when the customer is NOT the one who screwed up! Take better care of your customers - especially the regulars!

I visited your Lee's summit, mo store this morning (off 291) to place a balloon order for my sons 1st birthday. I had two balloons if my own that I wanted to add balloons to for table decorations. The young lady at the register was playing on her phone the whole time she spoke to me and acted as if I was bothering her. She told me she couldn't fill the balloons I brought in and turned her back to me. I still needed to place a balloon order but she couldn't be bothered . I said in a regular volume and tone"I guess I won't be placing a balloon order today" and walked out of the store. She followed me to the parking lot , told me she was the manager and not to come to come back to her store. With customer service and management like that- don't worry! I won't be back!

I worked at dollar Tree in Hampton,va off nickerson. This April the store was robbed. Well Ill tell u everything. On April 25, 2012. I was working at Dollar Tree in Nickerson Plaza, we were rob. I was the only cashier working up there at the time of the robbery, I had a back-up cashier but he was in back, doing something, unsure of what it was. A man had asked me a question, which "Was was there anything 99 cent or below." I stated "everything is a dollar but we do have a clearance bin", told him about the bin and where it was, but did not know that maybe the day before or earlier that morning that the clearance bin had been moved. Somewhere along from when he left, the guy ran into another dollar tree employee, and told me about the bin, "that it may say 25 or 50 cents, it may ring up a penny." And pick up an item. which he'd left on the shelf in line 3. The guy had come up again, a little from me looking at the hanging items again that you can see when standing in the line for register 3. I was on register 4, while standing there I had a weird feeling about him being so close. I do not like it even when kids go behind me and walk down register 3. And the second time that he came back he walked to over to where the sodas are and then proceeded to walk back near me, he came back up behind me. There was 4 people in line, maybe more. I had just finished ringing everything up, total enter. She handed me a twenty. I had a weird gut feeling with him being so close. I was blocking him on purpose while i was holding the drawer up a little to slide the drawer up and pushed the twenty under. They want the big bills under. That is what I do, unless I have counted it when a message appears wanting me to do a drop. I usually have 1 or 2 twenties left. I put them under my receipts for people when they want to get cash back. I do not like lifting it. And there have been numerous times when a big bill gets pushed to the very back and ends up falling out the drawer into the compartment where the cables and wires are stored from the register. A few days before this all happened one of our managers had found a one dollar bill, that had fallen out of the drawer to fall out, like I stated earlier. I had closed the drawer and went to ring up the next lady in line. She only have 3 or 5 items, she also paid with a twenty, and as I was lifting up the drawer again, he ran up and shoved me out of the way very hard, I have a bruise from him. He took off out of the store, the employee who he had asked about the bin tried to chase him down, I tired too but it was making it hurt more, so i stopped and went back. The district manager the moment when she walked through that door, she looked to the right of her and asked "WHAT SUPPOSE TO GO ON THAT WALL." Tim the assiant manager who should have been up front when this happen, I had also told him I needed to do a drop. We got supper busy I had to call him up front to his register to help get people of there. Then he helped out and then left to go to something in back. Im not sure. I want my job back, plus compensation for losing my job, which I was not suppose to be, why fire someone who was the victim and was robbed and thrown into a counter, They wont take care of any my medical. My file was closed, Have not been able to fill any prescription the doctor gave me. I'm still in pain to this day. If I don't get something, I will sue the hell out of you, for wrongful termination. email to respond, pandakis@live.com If u can help or know someone can help me, please email me. Who nows how many other ppl were fired for something they didn't do! Its not like I said "Hey I wannna lose my job today. A job I need to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. All the money i was making was to be set aside for a car, but now it had to go to rent and bills. Now a no job nor a car, our's bit the dust.

They work you like you have 10 hands and 10 legs and just keep adding and adding and adding stuff to your responsibilities and dont want to pay you what your worth. The problem with big companies like this is that all they care about is the bottom line. Which in reality they wouldnt make the money they do without the line level associates doing all the dirty work while you have a bunch of people sitting in a corporate office planning what the line level associates do and they havent worked a day in the actual store. It really bothers me that they wouldnt take better care of their associates. I get they want to make money but at the same time who is making that money for you?

I was a regular shopper at Dollar Tree and also am a very fit and healthy person who has actively been seeking part-time work. I always ask the Dollar Tree manager who is working if they have an opening for approximately 20 hr/wk. I did this last week on Sunday after Church, and the new hiring manager said, ''have you ever done this type work before?", I answered yes and told her how many hours I was looking for. She stopped stocking the aisle and took me to her little office in the back and asked to see my social security card and drivers license. Before walking to the back, she said she could start me the next Monday(one week later), after filling out all paperwork the next Sunday(day before). When we reached her office, I opened my wallet where I produced photo bank cards, library, my social security card, finally my drivers license. The license she said had expired 2 months ago. I told her it was actually suspended and she said that's okay, just bring a state issued photo id by this Sunday. I went to the DMV and was told I couldn't get a SC state photo id without my marriage license to prove my name difference between my valid social security card and my valid birth certificate. I called Melissa on Garners Ferry in Columbia, SC 29209 to ask what else I could do because I really needed the job, and it would take a few weeks to get my marriage license from Texas. She said, unfortunately, if I couldn't bring that document SC state photo id that Sunday, the job would not be available to me. I still showed up that Sunday, and told her I'd done alot of reading about HR practices and found out usually hiring employers give application receipts then allow 90 days to get the required documentation. She still refused to speak to me anymore about a job. Tamara Murphy(Jobe-maiden) and unemployed with heavy job skills and am a FT student and straight A one(that ID wouldn't work either, I said I understood, could I just have a little time to get marriage license to get state photo ID? This seems unfair and almost document abuse discrimination if not age discrimination as I'm 53. She even joked about age when she made the job offer saying she was 43 or 44. Should I pursue with the DHEC and other Labor Boards? a rip-off report I thought about, but it would stay on the internet forever even if I wanted it to be taken off later, and I never wanted any resentments, just a chance as good as an illegal alien with a green card to work 15-20 hrs/weekly for my personal needs.

I was getting ready to check out at the Dollar Tree in Marion, Illinois, and while I was in line I noticed a little child trying to reach what he thought was samples of some candy in a dish. I happen to notice that it WASN'T candy, it was crystalized air freshener! It does look the same as "rock candy", and I told the manager about it, and he just laughed and said "Well, he would just spit it out and wouldn't do that again!", and he just laughed! I asked him if he was not going to remove it from the shelf since it does look just like candy, and he said no, If I take it off the other customers will just open the bags and they will get to it anyway, anyway its not my concern. Someone's child is going to get deathly ill if not DIE from that stuff and your manager could care LESS!! I'm assuming I am probably saying all this for nothing, but it needed to be addressed!!

i CANT BELIEVE THAT EVERYONE HAS SHIT TO SAY ABOUT THE DAM DOLLAR STORE I BEEN TO THE ONE IN ROCKVILLE MD AND I HAVE ALWAYS GOTTEN A GOOD EXPERICANCE...PEOPLE YOU ALL NEED TO SHUT UP THE PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE HAVE LIVES TOO AND EVERYONE IS SO RUDE TO THE POOR CASHIERS.

I was in the Dollar Tree on Sparkman Dr in Huntsville, AL yesterday & i can tell you with 100% certainty i will never go in that store again. I love the Dollar Tree, its one of my favorite places to shop, but after this experience i'm not sure i want to go to any of them honestly. Apparently, every person who works for this company is either treated very badly or was already the rudest human being alive when they were hired. First, my issue with the store yesterday was with a young girl working who felt she could repremand me because there were out of place items on a shelf i was looking at. She very quickly told me that they had already cleaned the whole store because they were closing in an hour & how much she appreciated the fact that people didn't know how to put things in there place. As i turned to attempt to go to another isle, to avoid her child like tantrum, she walked in front of my buggy & told me she would open up a check out line if i would just roll on up there & go. Although i was not really ready to leave, that's exactly what i did. While she's ringing me up she shouts across the store to a co-worker about ridding the place of messy folks. As much as i wanted to verbally & physically put this girl in her place, i took a breath & felt pity for the sad person this girl obviously is. WOW, you must be miserable if this is your work place behavior. I work in customer service & have for 23yrs., i do not think the customer is always right, but i do think the customer derserves the respect that my boss is paying me to give them. After i left i thought quite a bit about the whole scenerio & my conclusion is simple. With this economy & the hard times upon us, be thankful for whatever job you have or just do us all a favor & quit. I take crap @ work from customers all day, the last thing i want is to take crap as a customer when i%2

I shopped at the Waynesboro, MS store this week. I have not been treated that rude ever. The cashier never said one word to me, after I paid for my items, she didn't have the decency to say thank you. I work too hard for my money to give it to a store who works employees that have no manners or treat people in a decent manner. After all, I'm helping to pay her salary and keep the lights on in the place. There are too many other stores where I can shop that will appreciate my business and will treat me like a person, and someone who helps the people of the store keep a job. I know this email will never make it to corporate head quarters, and if someone should read it, nothing will become of it. They will just think I'm one more bitching person. Maybe headquarter should take a look at their stores and clean house occasionally.

Hey there my name is Lamine I have a great location in New York City for a dollar tree store . I want to know how the companies works and what do I need to open its up. I also Would like know who I can talk to start of. Any information will b helpfull , my email Is Lamine360@yahoo.com thanks

Update. I was recently promoted to assistant manager after being denied the first two times. Training is going well and I am learning a lot of new things. My new manager isn't getting results and sales are down 20% and more. I hear the former manager has to leave his postion of regional manager to manage our pour performing store. The crack smoking assistant manager is still there but isn't quite as out of control but she still doesn't get anything done. Now that I am getting training I can have a little more control over freight processing practices and expectations. Anyway bottom line is that it is getting to be a better place to work. I see that not all regions have such a good outlook because of the boss or coworkers. I know that the company has some issues it needs to work out. But it if you are in a bad situation and have stayed as long as you can it is time to tell them how it is and move on. If not you will need to step up and take charge in your store show that you are motivated more than senior staff and expect some increase.
