I purchased a $3000 leather living room set from Ashley furniture less than a year ago. I spilled Hot tea on the sofa and tried to wipe it up, to my suprise the color came completely off the sofa pillow. I called Ashleythe next month being that I purchased a warrenty. It has been nine months and I have just gotton the run around and just recently was told there wasn't nothing they can do. I am so upset! this is very poor bussiness! The customer service suck! Everyone I spoke to just keep passing the buck. I would NEVER, I mean Never buy anything from Ashley again and now reading other complaints, I would tell anyone who is going to buy Ashley products...RUN!!! Run, run run you would regret it and may be out of alot of money.

1 STAR IS TO MANY (-6 STARS) Below is the email that I sent to WeCare@ShopAshley.com on 8/4/12 less than 2 hours after the furniture was delivered. When I called the number to speak with a Customer service Rep. they transferred me to the store where the furniture was pruchased. At first, I was told that they would have new furniture delivered and offered me a $100 store credit to buy assessories and when I let them know that I wasn't interested - I wanted them to get this damaged furniture out of my home, the store manager promised that I would get a full refund. It took 21 days to get this furniture out of my home. I waited 2 weeks after they picked up the furniture to see if the refund would be sent to me or put back on my card - when that did not happen, I called the store. I called over and over and over-and the only response I got was "Let me look into this and I will call you back". No one ever called back, so I went to the store and they could not find any paperwork about the sale. And the response was - we will have to look into this and we will get back to you. I WANT MY MONEY BACK - YOU HAVE YOUR JACKED-UP FURNITURE BACK SO I WANT WHAT IS MINE. THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY RESTOCKING FEE OR DELIVERY FEES BECAUSE IF I HAD RECEIVED THE QUALITY FURNITURE THAT I PAID FOR, THERE WOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM Good morning. I will be contacting you by telephone very soon. I am very disappointed with with the furniture that was delivered to my home this morning. I paid for quality furniture and this looks like a bad upholstery job. The staples are loose and coming apart, the batting is exposed, the chair 1/2 is damaged and the cushions aren't lined up - there is a gap between the seat cushions and the cushion on the back. I attempted to pull out the sleeper portion - it is stuck. I prepared for this furniture and was very excited when I saw the ASHLEY Furniture Truck pull in my driveway and have never been so disappointed about new furniture in m life. Please pick up this furniture as soon as possible and return all payments/deposits that I have made. Customer ID: 00706796xxxx Sales Order: 400160100

My first complaint is the lack professionalism by the Ashley contacted delivery driver. The delivery driver called me (via phone) and never identified himself or the company, then proceeded to asked for my home address. This occurred on two different phone calls. My second complaint is with the Ashley Home Delivery office. I contacted the customer care department and spoke with a Customer Care Manager named Jamie and was dissatisfied with the resolution regarding the delivery complaint. The Customer Care Manager stated that she was the ONLY person I could speak with and “there was not one else I could speak with”. I asked her if she had a manager and I was told (by Jamie) that she was the manger. She implied that Ashley Home Delivery Customer Care Department did not have a manager over her! Basically the buck stopped with Jamie. This whole experience has been very disappointing and at this point I do not feel comfortable purchasing furniture or home accessories from Ashley Furniture. I will follow-up with a detailed written letter to President of Ashley Furniture and hopefully resolution will come at that level. It’s interesting that the Customer Care Manager was so quick to dismiss the matter at hand. Your web-site states that Ashley Furniture is accredited by the Better Business Bureau….

This is the worst service I have every received in my life! Terrible product took 3 month to get someone out to replace the damaged rails on my child's $800 bed! Then the replacement rails where worst than the first set of rail. Then they couldn't make my 2 attempt to replace the still damage rails till 12:45 to 4:15. After I agreed to give them one more chance to fix the issue as long as the was done before 1 pm b/c it is for my 2 year olds bed. That time frame is in the middle of nap. Their reply at ALL LEVELS was that that was when the truck is in my area and they have NO CONTROL over that. Finally after a long chat with several people and being told that they have NO RETURN POLICY, I got my money back. Well so I thought b/c today I am still trying to get the money back and they are say it could take a month for the refund. WTF!! I paid CASH!!!! Now to post on FB too! I will never have a NICE thing to say about these people and all jokes aside Wal-Mart has better furniture than this place. That was where I got my sons toddler bed and it was really nice, $69, this twin loft bed was $800, cheaply made. Needless to say it is a TERRIBLE company!

This is the worst furniture that I have ever experienced. They did not give me my money back even after I cancelled my order. I now having to go through my credit card to dispute the charges. Very bad customer service. Never again am I going to shop there!!!!!!

Ashley furniture in Layton, Utah has the worst horible customer service I have seen ever before. I came to the store in July 2012, I bought two bedroom sets there, and receive it a month later because one of the pieces was not in stoke in august. I notice the bed was too big and I came to store in next day to let them know and exchange the furniture just to find a nasty MANAGER who was not happy about exchanging the bedroom set and even though I was right there, about three steps away, he would be telling the employee to tell me that if I returned the set there would be a fee of $700 dollars. The employee asked him to tell me since I was right there (the manager with his discriminating face did not even turn to see me and told his sales person that he was not going to tell me anything and for him to tell me)I do not know if it was because I am a Latino person but I felt so humiliated by that manager. On top of that, the sales man was reluctant to help me and was not very nice like he was when I went and spend there my money on both bedroom sets. The people who work have a very bad attitude and horible customer service. I reorder the furniture Labor day, and they told me I will get it in October, waiting over two months to have some furniture. I thought I was getting excellent quality, but instead, I should have gone to RC Willey and get my furniture. They are also expensive, but better quality customer service.

I rate Ashley junk no stars, better business bureau need to get involve and close this company, from day one I had problems, now after five months the power sofa went out, customer service is very rude and dont care about their customers, they are forgetting without us customers they would not have jobs,as an American iam upset that the united states allow this company to stay in busness.we are told to help suport the economy, we need to spend our hard working money on companies in the USA,an investigation into this company need to take place,to put a stop to their abuse and if they dont change close their stores, fine the owners,we should not put up with this at all

WORST customer service ever. wow, really bad and disrespectful. I wish we had researched before buying. we never had an issue with our other pieces so didn't think about it. The furniture LOOKS nice enough but not well made. My daughter cut her hand when she put her hand down the side of the sofa cushion (about a month and 1/2 after we bought the loveseat). there was an exposed staple that had ripped the seat cushion. I called customer service (which I found out is also customer service for Marlo furniture and some others so could care less about a personal stake in the furniture) and sent pics (as good as they could get with me putting the lense DOWN the side of the sofa (can't remove seat cushions). I was then questioned (like I am an idiot..I am a college professor by career) as to why I hadn't called right away and now am calling after almost 2 months. I explained that not only were we gone most of the summer but normally people don't go stick there hands down the side of the sofa for fun, my daugher just happened to. The inquiries kept coming..bizarre. I sent pics and they are "reviewing" them. We have a store 15 minutes away and Ashley couldn't be bothered to respond with a real person or employee. We were looking for reasonalbe furniture that we could use and not yell at the kids for messing up/eating on etc in the family room. it wasn't worth it. I will do the payment plan at Ethan Allen next time and pay a little more (they have excellent customer service).

The worst furniture store ever!!! I bought a chair about a month ago, 2 chairs have been delivered damaged. I think they gave me the same chair twice scratched to shit! How do you do business like that! Now it is another 2 week for the next chair! Customer service could not even try to get me the chair quicker than 2 weeks. If I could find the chair in another store before that time I am canceling my order! This will definitely be my last purchase from Ashley's! If anyone reads this take my advice "GO TO ANOTHER STORE".

The products are cheaply made. I wish I had NOT pruchased my recliner from you! I'm having worse pain from my back/neck after I got it. Now, it's getting repaired after 6 months....crap!

For everyone postijng here it is best to get your issues resolved through the better business bureau. This is the only way it seems companies seemed to respond to complaints.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the majority of previous posts. Ashley's Furniture corporate policy is really to get your money and disappear. If you buy from them, EXPECT damaged furniture and EXPECT that they will want to repair it (if that), not replace it, and EXPECT that even then they will act like they are doing you a favor! We wonder why the U.S. is in the toilet. This is an example of why, in my view. No longer do we have companies that care about their customers. It's all about quick profit (not reputation and certainly not the long-term success that comes from treating patrons fairly). It's greed, pure and simple. I very much liked our sales person and very much disliked one of the store managers "Erick" (Ray Road, Phoenix Arizona store). My husband and I did buy furniture from the store, only because of the kind and helpful sales person and because I feel I am very capable of winning any battle these jerks will give me if there is an issue (which there always is), but it shouldn't have to be this way. HORRIBLE COMPANY POLICIES WHEN IT COMES TO HOW THEY TREAT CUSTOMERS!

I am writing to you to share my total disappointment in a recent purchase from your company. I ordered a queen size bed, mattress, and boxspring. The movers tried for only a ferw minutes and claimed that they couldn't get the boxspring up the stairs. Meanwhile I have 2 queen size beds with boxsprings on that floor already that got up the steps no problem 10 and 2 years ago respectively. The company then said that I could send the boxspring back but had to pay a 25% re-stocking fee. That is utterly ridiculous. Yes, the delivery was 72 hours after the time for a full refund but that was NOT my problem that was when the company decided to deliver. Thus leading me no choice but to have to deal with this ridiculous fee. I turned down both the mattress and boxspring because it was a set now I am forced to pay this fee, plus ONLY get store credit instaed of having it returned to my credit card, again not my fault for the 72 hour turn around and I have to look elesewhere for a mattress and box spring. Not to mention the fact that my daughter has to sleep on a couch. This policy is ridiculous for the fact alone that I already have 2 queens up on that floor. I can not get a manager on the phone either. I DO NOT intend to purchase anything at all from your store BUT am forced to have this credit. This policy is horrible and your customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I would like a full refund and I plan on pursuing it.

I have a newly delivered sofa that had staples sticking out of the fabric, and a big stable pushing out from the frame. The arms are loose and the cardboard in the arms bend back and forth when you lean on them and make a lot of noise. Like others, a repairman was sent by my retailer. After much hammering, pushing stuffing into the arm to make the noise stop, and putting screws into the arm and frame to stop the wobbling. The arms still move , less noise, but you still can hear it(repairman's exact words"it's alittle better". When you buy new shouldn't you expect it to be in first class condition? Can't believe that this company is still in business . What's wrong with America? Have we become door mats for corporate greed? We should band together and warn unsuspecting buyers of Ashley's deceitful practices. I intend to do my share by visting the showroom near me and share my unfortunate experience with a company that doesn't care about customers after they take thier money.

I purchased a five piece dining set and a bedroom set on Sunday, August 5, 2012, from your Brookfield, Wisconsin store. The delivery date was scheduled for Saturday, August 18, 2012. However, when the delivery truck arrived they did not have the mattress and box string, so a second delivery was schedule. On Saturday, August 25, 2012, when the second delivery truck arrived they had the mattress, but not the box spring, so a third delivery was scheduled for Saturday, September 1, 2012. This is ridiculous!!!! Three wasted Saturday's waiting for a delivery truck.

I hope this review goes to to owner or president of this company, yes they claimed to be the best bur instead they are the worst furniture company. I purchased a dinning table and a living set. the living set is defective I had been complaining to the CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES, the only answer I got was "CUSTOMER FURNITURE ABUSE" THEY WANT MY TO PAY FOR THEY REPAIR THE SET. I HOPE SOME ONE CAN STOP THIS ABUSIVE COMPANY AND AT THE SAME TIME EDUCATE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES, THEY DO NOT HAVE A BIT OF EDUCATION OF SENSE OF HOW NOT TO HURT PEOPLE. PLS., PLS. SOME ONE OUT THERE HELP US TO SOLVE OUR PROBLEMS WITH THIS COMPANUY ROCIO MORENO

Ashley furniture is the worst furniture store. The items in store appear nice however when you receive them at your house expect complete crap. I had to send my delivery back 5 times, and even the last time the arm of the chair was chipped..I was told someone would call me, however no call to repair the 235 arm chair, and i purchase 6 of them. I would never buy another piece of furniture from them, their support stinks, and they hang up the phones. The managers there are or must have been junkies in a prior like, now have a button...lol
