Can't get lower than 1 or I would. I've spent 4 months trying to get them to quit billing me for a house that I sold and disconnected the phone. Each month brings a new requirement for me to complete before they quit. So far I've been charged over $90 for a service they can't provide. It is my opinion that the supervisor that I'm forced to talk to is just getting her jollies off screwing with me. They keep telling me that they are a "Security Company" and as such live by different rules than other businesses...what BS.

This company kept sending me bills after I cancelled my subscription with them and we no longer live in the house they were monitoring. They are GREEDY bastards and I just hate them. I wish they will be out of business soon!

If there was a lower rating-I would use that. This company and it's so called authorized dealers should be put out of business. The installers told me a completly different story of what I needed as did the person on the phone that I did originally contact. The installers caused damage to our plastered wall and offered a $100.00 gift card to cover the damage. The company had no record of this and called the installer and he denied ever saying this. I was within the 3 day cancellation clause, and I have sent a fax concelling and have removed all installed components. I am now waiting to have them picked up, and I have a statement for them to sign as to what was delivered back to them. I am doing this because they are not to be trusted. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!

the tech just left my house for the second time I still have the same problem my keypod will not work the tech tells me that it is not program into my system now when I purchased this system both key pods worked just fine long as Apex was in business and for several years after ADT bought them out I lost the main one I used and had to go to the other one now they are telling me that there is another charge if I want the key pod to work. I got rid of adt before because of them charging me after I canceled my home phone service but they kept right on charging I think that it is time to get rid of them again this time there will be no return using this company they suck with a passion I will be contacting the BBB and the Attorney General Office.

I had my ADT home alarm system reactivated in November 11. I will terminate my service with ADT in November 13. I did not purchase the QSP since the monthly cost of this plan was 25% of my monthly service costs. I am now having a problem with one of my sensors. I have scheduled a “trained” technician to come to my house to address the problem. I will be billed $164 for the fist 30 minutes and $39 for every 15 minutes thereafter. This is ridiculous. Extrapolated, this is over $500k a year. I am sure it is only a battery, but this is not covered in your QSP plan. How convenient so it really doesn’t matter if I have the QSP plan or not. When I have a problem with the cable, the cable company (Cox) comes out and fixes the problem without a fee. Why doesn’t ADT? I can see paying a reasonable fee for service but $242 an hour plus materials is absurd. I will let everyone I know not to buy an ADT plan in the future because of this hefty fee to get “your” alarm system repaired. Also, the trained technicians only work M-F, 8-5. This too is ridiculous. For $242 dollars an hour, they should be available 24/7 to fix problems with “your” system. Only 11 more months and I will cancel my service.

this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. It charged me for the services it did not provide. It also double charged me for the monthly monitoring services. I have left messages for the managers in the local office and the corporate offices and no one has returned my calls. Their technicians are incompetent and one of the technician intentionally damaged one of the sensors at my house so that he could charge me to fix it. I have left messages for the manager to cancel my account with ADT and this manager would not return my calls. This is so frustrating to know and that the managers of this company behave in this manner. I WILL NOT REFER ANYONE TO THIS COMPANY.

I am totally disappointed with ADT, especially since I followed the recommendation of my insurance company, USAA. I have been with USAA for over 30 years and took their recommendation as gospel. Shouldn't have. never imagined that in this day and age of competition and customer service that a company could have such poor representation. The technicians have lied to me, the salesman has not returned my calls and one of the servicemen tried to charge me for a service that was determined to be needed by their own repair center. None of them show their id cards, and are extremely snotty to me. Just a terrible company to do business with. I hope the corporate office responds to my letter and email. Never again.

I have asked my ADT salesperson to provide a solution for an event of blackout of power i.e. back up support to my DVR / Security System. I cannot understand why they either don't care to get this product or make it a part of the package. What use is a DVR camera if the power goes out - not much at all. The alarm system has a 7 hour back up why don't the provide backup for the DVR? IT is too focused on retail and not the home high end protection. This could be a huge revenue stream for ADT. Why aren't the corporate people listening. Time to get out in the field. Your salesforce is lazy!

I rated ADT poor because there is no rating for horrible. I can just say ditto to the comments before me. My mother had ADT in her home years ago. He became disabled about 10 years and a few months ago and had to move in with my sister. We had the telephone services at her home disconnected and informed ADT. Although, my mother was not able to get around, she was mentally alert and paid her own bills. Sadly, she passed in August 2011. To our surprise ADT has continued to collect monitoring fee each month for a service she did not have. The telephone service and the ADT system in the house have been inoperable for years and ADT knew this but out of greed, collected hundreds of dollars in monitoring fees. I contacted ADT about this in December after receiving a bill saying the fees had not been paid and were overdue. To this date I have gotten no response. This is one for the State Public Service Commission and State Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division to take a serious look at. The question is, "how many others have fallen victim to the same deceptive practices?" The Federal Communication Commission might need to be brought in also because these systems operate over telephone lines.

My mother in law fell and aft responded as was expected. However her button no longer worked. A repairman came out the next day only after I finally found someone who understood that a 97 year old just home from the hospital needed some extra security the alert systems provided. Otherwise we would have had to wait until Tuesday ...5 days later. Repair person was there 21/2 hours and could not fix the problem. ADT offered to have an emergency service at a cost of $250 with no guarantee of fixing problem and a likelyhood it wouldn't be resolved until after holiday weekend. Plus if problem was not solved no money would even be refunded.my daughter and were on the phone for over 3 hours trying to at least explain the iseriousness of the situation. Everyone " understood" but no one offered any solution. I cannot believe that any company could be so frivolous with someone's life. NEVER USE ADT FOR MEDICAL ALERT SAFETY.

Very poor customer service, from beginning to end. They managed to mess up the whole transaction .. billing, gift card, etc, and then I was actually hung up on by a customer service rep. The only positive is that I called corporate to complain about customer service, and they were Very nice, and very helpful.

I have been paying for ADT service for years, and thankfully never had to use them for an emergency. However, when the system went dead, and the alarm sounded, I called the company for assistance in silencing the alarm. I was told I needed to wait another ten days for a serviceman to come. No amount of pleading with the customer "service" rep would get me service sooner. When I called a second time, after days of listening to the pounding of the now-defunct alarm, and neighbors complaining, I was told that someone would be at my home in THREE DAYS. My husband and are elderly; the sound kept us awake for nights, and distracted by day -- but we had no recourse but to wait. Finally, the unit has been silenced - and is no longer viable. However, when I tried to cancel service/ensure no bills were forthcoming, I was told to forward a letter, and legal documents, which I do not wish to share with this company. This entire ordeal is an example of elder abuse. I have been advised to seek legal counsil.

This company is totally worthless. On 1/07/2012, my system went into trouble mode, and even though I pay extra for in home repairs, the SOONEST THEY COULD GET A REPAIRMAN OUT WAS 1/13/2010. THEY EXPECT US TO GO FOR 6 DAYS WITHOUT ANY ALARM COVERAGE - BOTH FIRE AND SECURITY!!!!!!!! EVEN THOUGH I SPOKE TO A SUPERVISOR, HE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNHELPFUL. I WILL BE SWITCHING TO A NEW ALARM COMPANY AS SOON AS I CAN ARRANGE THE SWITCH - PROBABLY BAY ALARM.

I agree with the comments above. The best response is "sorry that's all we have available, I don't have anything to do with this I just schedule and etc." This is a very poor company for service. They do not respond timely and keep you on hold for extended periods of time (maybe to get you to hang up). My system was put in in September 2011 and am I sorry? You bet!!!!!!!!!!!!! There were multiple problems with the initial installation and now I am dealing with "a battery issue or loose wire." Seems I cannot get anyone out to address the problem for a week!!! So sorry I got this company. They definitely do not uphold the statements made in the advertising.

ADT sent sales reps into our gated community that is clearly marked No Soliciting. When the rep came knocking on my door I questioned her autorization to be in the park sellinng ADT's Services. She stated "We have permission from the management to be here because of the recent break in down the street." I asked to see this authorization and she told me her manager had it and she would get a copy. Needless to say she never returned. I call our private security company and reported this contact with ADT. If ADT's representatives are told to lie to potential customers, I certainly would not want their services.

I responded to a advertisement about free equipment with ADT contract. The installer told us the free equipment is just basic setup and he could not quote additional equipment until he installed basic system because pricing comes from ADT. After install of basic system he quoted us prices not ADT, he lied. After spending $4,000.00 to Protect your Home the installer left and I wondered if system even worked, I performed a self test and found out that most the system was not working. I spoke with a manager at Protect your home who promised me the world and credits, which we never seen. The tech came back and left only to find out a couple days later the system was accidentally tripped and ADT never called us. We called ADT and found out we are not connected to the monitoring station, I called ADT and Protect your home only to be disconnected by each and when I did get through I received a message machine and never received a return call from ADT and Protect your home returned a call 5 days later. We have never and still don't have a security system but we have spent $4,000.00 dollars. DO NOT USE ADT !!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not have ADT yet. I have had two or three appointments which were cancelled and then when someone finally came to my house he quoted his own prices. When calling customer service they are extrememy rude and no nothing and always trying to talk over you. They only want to transfer you from department to department it is the same old story just pass the buck. I was trying to purchase a survalince cameras and they wanted me to pay $3200.00. Then they were going to give me an 18% discount and I agreed to take it for $2500.00 they were to come to my house on Monday to pick up the check and for me to review the contract it is now Tuesday night and I have heard nothing. I am glad I read these reviews I will be looking for another service. I will never recommended this company. I cannot understand how they stay in business they are the absoulote worst company.

I agree completely with the reviews posted here .Our Broadview service was bought out by ADT, and their customer service is just a joke. I am sitting now waiting for a tech. When attempting to locate the tech rather than waste my entire day (for the second time; last week a tech just never showed up), I was transferred to four different people, and the fourth person was a condescending liar. The information given was completely untrue; I am certain he just wanted to get me off the phone.

My wife and I have had ADT services for several years in our residence and it was adequate. That is why I was so surprised at how inept they were when we used the services for our commercial property. The Rep, J. Barnes told us that we could "freeze" our system when the apt unit was vacant. Apparantly that was untrue because they tried to charge us for that time, something Barnes told us they wouldn't do. I have been trying to get on the phone with his supervisor Kiel P. but he is unable to return a phone call. After about 6 attempts I tried calling his boss a Glen A. and he hasn't returned my phone call. Their customer service stinks and it really shows a lack of class when someone doesn't have the curtosy to return your phone calls.

Do not use this company for your security needs. The tech installed my cellguard backup improperly and told me that ADT would monitor the cellguard to insure that it is working properly. The cellguard was not working for 5 months and I was never notified. I have spent over 3 hrs on the phone with "customer service",4 hrs with the service tech attempting to fix the problem,2 cancelled appointments before I had to go to their office to speak to a manager to get this issue resolved.The service techs are not trained properly and the customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. I guess when you get this big as a company and they lock you in to a contract they don't care about the customer and don't have to help you at all.
