I am writing regarding the Hamlin NY store. This store is a disgrace, dirty poor stocking and seems no one in management cares. There have been good managers there but seems they get transfered out of the store for making an attempt to clean the store up. Compared to Hilton and Spencerport NY this store is an eye sore. Can't someone at Corporate level get this store cleaned up or close it and lets go back to Bauch's

I was in the Goodman/East Ridge store the other night and couldn't believe how nasty, rude and inappropriate this one particular employee was. I overheard one employee swearing at another. Shanita if you're not happy there, don't come to work. The customers are better off not hearing the filth coming out of your mouth. Management needs to handle this.
The Westfield, NY Tops is the worst grocery store that I have ever had the misfortune of entering. The lines are always long; no additional clerks are added to the registers. Managers have to be called to assist the clerks at the checkouts constantly, for clearing registers and override mistakes. The managers have to be ASKED by the clerks, to help out when lines are extreme. Most of my experience has happened on the evening shift, so I cannot comment about the day shift staff. Grocery isles are filthy and the meat department is terrible. No good comments at all! Zero stars! Most personnel not friendly. I do not shop at the Westfield store, unless absolutely neccessary.
I shop at the Tops located on Young Street in Tonawanda. As I work early, I shop early with one complaint, the bottle bins are always full. Numerous times I have tried to return my bottles early as this is a 24 hour a day store and find all the bins full. I would think that before the crew responsible for this task leaves for the night they would check to be sure the bins are empty. It is rediculous to have to walk around the store with a cart full of bottles. The cashier who took my bottles was not too happy about doing it. Maybe someone can get this resolved.
I like the Mayville, NY store the best, but it seems to always smell like fish when you walk in the door. Gross! My second choice is the the Tops on Washington Street in Jamestown. I also wish Tops would update their coupon scanning system. It's frustrating when the cashiers don't know how to deduct coupons according to the dept the item is from.
Tops Markets of #261 in Alden, NY recently had a walk from the corporate big shot well Kristen,the store manager, had people come from other stores to help them straighten out all the mess from months of neglect before the walk. Corporate needs to come in unannounced. I don't see Kristen or Cortney working very hard at all. Your store is a pigsty and never has anything on the shelves. At least Mr.Zee worked.
Tops Markets in Alden, NY is charging $8.00 for a large Juliane salad. I think the manager of the deli needs to keep her shrink down by overcharging people. Last year it was the chicken quarters for $5.00 a lb. Both items are sold by the each and have proper tags in the computer. What if Weights and Measures has to stop by?
on july 22 2012 i bought a bag of rainer cherries i have been waiting to hear for some one to contact me i sent my daughter to bring the cherries to bring in to a lab i asked for a complant the refused to give my daughter a sheet for me to sign a report and kim she refused to give me a report and she tryed to pay me off with a twenty doller gift card beacuse the cherries had mold i had a serious allergic reaction to the mold that was on the cherries she was very rude i had to go to a hospital and twenty two dollers i have the card and i am not going to use it its proof so that i can get a lawer on this case i will get to a main corprate
This message is not a complaint but a plea. Tops recently bought our small local market North Boston Marketplace. We have been customers there for 28 years and are very happy with the excellent service we have received from the present staff, in particular the deli/butcher counter. Greg,Donna,Debbie, and all have always helped with special orders with skill and wonderful friendliness. All in our area need Tops to keep this staff intact. It is our Cheers without the bar! This would be a very sad change and take our business away to Braymillers.
I am in your Perinton store every week, but am seriously thinking about switching to Wegmans. The produce is terrible. I have it home for two days and it starts to show rot. The service people are rude and care less if one is satisfied. The monoply game that is being played until July 31st.: I was in the Perinton store and had two extra prizes for these cards. I was told that they ran out of cards, so they were not participating anymore??????? What??????? I don't understand?????? Is that LEGAL???? The prices are many of their things has gone up so much, I cannot afford them.. I purchased Lloyds Shredded Pork at Wegamsn: $4.99...At Tops it was $6.99..That is just ridiculous!! Each time I go to the deli, I have to wait because there is only one person taking care of everyone. Sometimes four or five people are waiting!! No wonder their parking lots are empty.... PLEASE.....Bring some other grocery chain into the Rochester area...We need it so badly.....
I am writing this about the Tops Market in Westfield NY. I have lived all over the country and by far this is the worst supermarket I have ever encountered. It doesn't matter what time of day you go in the cashiers act as if they hate there jobs..seem over tired and don't have a friendly word to say to anyone. When shopping and looking for an item it can never be found because of lack of stock. Then managers on duty seem more intereted in how there hair looks then if there are 10 people in line and the need for them to jump in and help. I was in tonight to simply buy some icecream. It was at 850 PM and there were 7 people in line and 1 cashier. You could see she was frustrated as people were getting upset watching the manager walk by with no assistance. I put the icecream back and walked out. I will NEVER enter the doors of the Westfield Tops again. I will drive to Mayville where the cashiers at least say good morning and they seem to have enough products to choose from and enough help to serve the public. The Tops in Westfield should really be closed as it is by far the worst I have ever seen.
I went to the Canandaigua NY store and purchased 2 packs of hamburger. The very next day I noticed the the dates were expired. I never seem to save my receipts so I brought the meat back to the store thinking I would have no problems returning it. Not only was the manager Ken a complete jerk so wask the girl running the customer service desk. I was accused of possibly stealing the meat by the manager. Then he had the odasity to tell me that he shouldn't have to take a loss on his product because my reasoning of returning the meat wasn't good enough! Really? Who trained him to manage a store? Finally I grabbed my meat and said " oh so I'm suppose to lose MY money because it's not fair to you"? Ok then, I know who I will be calling when I get home. Quickly he threw his hands up to the girl behind the desk and demanded her to ONLY give me store credit!! He leaves and this blonde psycho starts throwing my meat, slamming her fingers on the register, and mumbling under her breathe. I nicely say... Did u say something? She rudely replies yes!!! This is such a waste I can't believe ur really doing this?!! Huh?? What's a waste? That I'm very particular when it comes to meat and I refuse to eat something expired. She proceeds to tell me that it's fine and I'm just wasting it as she's slam banging the register. I then told her if she was so upset about it going to waste then take it home and eat it yourself!! She insisted to badger me and insult the fact that I was ridiculous. I basically told her that she has the WORST attitude and she should not be dealing with customers also, that she'll be lucky if she still has a job tomorrow. With a quickness she says, I wont get fired! Then as she went to swipe the gift card through the machine on my side she did it so rough and meanly she jabbed me in the arm with the card. I said, now ur hitting me? She gets even more snoody and says, your gonna be that kind of person? Damn right!! Hope u have a job when I'm done. NEVER WILL I EVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
On December 30,2011 I went to tops on union and george urban in buffalo ny and I bought some bisons chip dip well that night me ad my family opened the dip and proceeded to eat and my husband and child thought they had broke a chip off and it was a razor blade ,i took it back the next day and ask to to speak to the manager ,he said "our blades don't come out of the holder",I also called bison and they said we don't use box cutters but I will get to the bottom of it she had someone come and pick up the product and she called two days later and said tops is taking full responsibility for this and someone will be contacting you ,well its april 3rd and I haven't heard any thing yet. I rather go to wegmans and spend my money.
I emailed tops on2/13/2012 about the saran plastic bags 15 ripped till I got my grocerys home noone called or emailed me ,I returned on 3/2/2012 got the same thin plastic bags which ripped with two small cans in them 5 out of 6ripped till I got them home.IcalledDansville store on2/13/2012 a girl told me they were having problems and she had bags rip with her own grocerys.I called the store on 3/7/2012asked for the manager he said they had no problem was very RUDE AND HUNG UP.IWILL GET SOMETHING DONE IF I MUST DRIVE TO THE MAIN OFFICE THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR SUCH MANAGEMENT IT STINKS TOPPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I go into the Sayre, PA, Tops on keystone Ave every day. When i go in at nights the store is trashed. The floors are destroyed, and it seems like no one cares nor do i ever see anyone w a broom or mop to clean up. Now in the mornings, the store is spotless and i see people cleaning. The employees in the morning r very nice and polite but as the day goes on and shifts change the attitudes gets worse towards the end of the day. The female manager at that store is useless. I heard her one day totally not understanding what people were saying to her when they were only trying to help the store. Tops made a mistake when it kept this store. If this place keeps up like it is i know alot of people looking to shop atleast at the other store where people r a little friendlier throughout the day.

I stopped at TOPS on Winton Rd. in Rochester to get some donuts for Boss’s day for the office. I was just standing looking at the selection and I saw a ROACH crawling thru the donuts! YUCK…………… I stopped one of the workers and whispered to her and showed her where I saw it. She went in back and a lady came out and took the tray away……what about the REST of them? I am sure that thing was all over everything……..I will NEVER buy baked goods from THAT location ever again. I saw them looking thru the rest when I left but they should of just removed them ALLLLLL…………………..ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
