THE LONGEST OIL CHANGE IN 40 YEARS. Walked into Tire Kingdom in Sanford Fla on Hwy 17&92 and my first impression of the manager was that he was on some kind of happy pill. I told them i just wanted an oil change & tire rotation and they took the key and i sat down. After almost an hour the asst manager aproached to have a paper signed and i asked how much longer and was told a few minutes. He must have sensed i was getting aggravated and might leave because 2 minutes later the car was pulled in and put up on the lift were it sat for another 30 minutes { so i couldnt leave }. Finally the " technician " took 5 minutes and had the oil changed and the car back on ground were it sat for another 15 minutes while the "technician" worked on the car next to it. Pissed off and tired of waiting i go to the counter to pay and waited another 15 minutes because another customer was complaining that they didnt rotate her tires last time she had her oil changed and they now said she needed new tires. So after 2 hours i get a 5 minute oil change - no fluids were checked and my tires were not rotated and after listening to the lady in front of me at the counter it was obviouse they pull this crap on every oil change customer. Good way to save labor bad way to keep customers. Needless to say that I will tell everyone i know not to have anything to do with TIRE KINGDOM unless you want to leave there feeling RIPPED OFF. TIRE KINGDOM Hwy 17&92 in SANFORD FLA.
Even less than one star. TK has been unsuccessful repeatedly at replacing my serpentine belt. this has been going on for a year. Each time they said it is repaired for good. But alas, about every two weeks, the belt goes bad again. trying to reach anyone at corporate is a joke. extremely poor customer service. They must know all your personal information in order for them to get in touch with anyone (and I do mean the store where the car has been taken). At this point I want to speak with a district manager. What happened to the good ole days (good ole boys) in the car repair business. They aren't there anymore. I would like a refund for the unrepaired work. More specifically I would like to talk to management about this issue.
'this is not to be used to contact tire kingdom, inc corporate offices' LOL i cant contact them anyway, can anyone else?
My girlfriend took my truck in for an oil change and tire rotation to the store located at 1383 Old Springdale Rd in Rock Hill, SC. She had an appointment and still waited around for 2 hours. The tech told her it took that long because it was because he couldn't get the kickplate off because the screws were stripped. When I got home that night I looked at the truck and the tires were never touched, nevermind rotated, even though on the receipt, it stated that they rotated the tires. I took the truck back in and of course the manager wasn't very sympathetic and he said that the tech that had worked on the truck had already left for the day, so he told me to bring it back in tomorrow. Very unhappy with this, because I work 2 jobs and have no time for this lack courtesy, we arranged to bring it back in the next day. They finally rotated the tires and supposedly checked the air pressure in all four. When they pulled the truck out, there was a lug nut missing off of both front tires and not trusting the techs, we went to the nearest gas station and checked the pressure in each tire, and of course, each one was different, ranging from 30-40. I will never take another vehicle to a Tire Kingdom. I have spread the word not to trust Tire Kingdom and will continue to do so.
I wish I had gone on this website before I took my first trip to a Tire Kingdom in Viera, Florida, today. I went for a simple, 20 minute oil change. To make a long story short, I spent two hours to get my oil changed, and I was the only customer there when I pulled in!!! I am so disgusted with the service there. My car sat on the lift for about 45 minutes with no work on it until I approached the manager and asked why it was sitting there with no one working on it. Finally, they put my tires back on and brought the car down off the lift. Took me another 45 minutes to check out because the computer system crashed and the manager said me and another customer couldn't leave until we paid. I told them they could take down my credit information and I walked out. I will NEVER, EVER go there again and I will spread the word!!!! I have the same comment as all the others above. BEWARE!!!!
Upon purchasing 4 new tires from your Palm Coast store for $505.00 The tires are now bald and not even 2 years old. I call the store and the worker tells me "No Milage Warranty" on these tires you could drive 10 miles or 30,000 miles doesn't matter NO WARRANTY. Ok, so I spent $505.00 for tires that only lasted a year and a half? Only driven within town so how can this be? I would like a response from corporate pertaining to this issue. How can u sell a tire for that much money with NO WARRANTY????? Misleading............. email me at spordydh@aol.com
Tire Kingdom or NTB is the absolute worst. They did $375 in damage to my car and won't repair it.
your store in forest city NC put 8 spark plugs in my 1970 cheve truck this morning and then presented me a bill for $13800 thats $17.25 a plug. while you are in business to make a profit that was outrageous. the store manager then dropped the bill to $78.00 I still feel $50.00 would have been reasonable for such a small thing. your service tech bob was great and jeff the manager was very professional. stiil ,I will never use your company again and will tell my friends to beware.
my daughter dropped her car at your store #251 to have the exhaust looked at ..after about an hour your mechanic told the salesman at the counter it needed the whole entire exhaust system ..He quoted my daughter 1300.00 to replace the exhaust system ..I looked at the car all it needed was a 4.26 cent gasket and it was fixed ,..I would hope this is not the way you conduct business by taking advantage of young ladies that don't know anything about cars ..unacceptable..
I have been going to Tire Kingdom for six years to get my oil changed and tires rotated. I have to say the service and quality has really gone down the tubes! For a mothers day gift, my husband had my oil changed and tires rotated there just before we left to drive 60 miles to the beach. Yesterday I noticed two lug nuts missing from one of my wheels! Thank God I stopped at Advance Auto Parts where they were kind enough to replace the missing nuts, but discovered that one of the other ones was just hanging on so I was driving around with TWO LUG NUTS holding my wheel on!! We could have been killed (including my two year old and teenage son) not to mention the innocent people on the road! I will NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!
I would like to give Anthony a big thanks. Located at Tire Kingdom 26Ray E.Tally Court in Simpsonville, sc.29680. He went above and beyonded in taking care of a problem that came up after work was done on my truck. My tires were rotated and oil was change this time. I notice a day later that my center cap was missing on my rear wheel.I went back to see if it was at the store, but it was not. Anthony said he would take care of getting a new one. I thought, yeah sure! After getting all the info to order a new center cap, Anthony said he would contact me when it comes in. It took a few weeks but he did call and said it was in. I was really shocked because I did not think I would ever receive a call, but I did. When talking to Anthony,he told me that he had to order and reorder three different times because they sent the wrong center cap each time.I thanked Anthony for all he did and told him how surprised I was that they actually went thru with getting me a new cap. It is nice to know that someone (Anthony) believes in good business practices. I hope you can give him a good at-aboy and call for doing a good job. Thanks again Tim
Drove into your Merchant's location in Parkville, Md. My car was overheating. After agreeing to a $98.00 diagnostic, the service manager soon came back with an estimate for $1750.00 to replace my waterpump, timing belt, valve cover gasket, radiator hoses, & heater core. I authourized the work and he told me it would take 2 days to complete. I got a rental car and drove home. The next day at work, the manager called me and said I needed to replace the entire motor at a cost of $4500.00, but he could help me out and drop the price to $4000.00. Being skeptical, I had the car towed to a local toyota dealership, and after checking the car out, they stated that foreign matter (that would never get into a closed system) was somehow sucked into the intake, destroying the combustion chamber and damaging the valves beyond repair. The dealer also stated that happended during the tear down of the motor. I have been waiting 8 months for my reimbursement check.
Subject: Tire Kingdom 8630 Camfield St. Charlotte, NC 28277 (POOR SERVICE WITH A LACK OF CONCERN) Without going through the whole story of another retail store that does not care, I would certainly put this store at the very top of the "We Don't Care" category. Life is too short to patronize this company in Charlotte, NC.
I responded to the ad "buy one get one Free". When I went in the store there were two people at the counter who were chatting with thw personel so I waited. when I got to the counter I told the man I was responding to the ad and wanted four tires - pay for two. Three hours late i pick up my car and am presented with a bill $700 - tiers $102 each!! and the offer was now 3 for 1!!! When I confronted the manager with it next day (not there then) he was onjectionable, rude and threatening. The best he could do was a coupon for $100 and if I complained anymore he'd not give me that. So, at present, I am left with using that, at that store or lose the money and it still does not recompense me for the extra, unexplained money. I will never voluntarily go to any Tire Kindom syore again and would advice everybody to do the same.
What a SCAM! You advertise '2 for 1', but that's just the hook to draw you in. In order to QUALIFY for the '2 for 1' price, I am forced to purchase all sorts of 'extras', including a front end alignment, etc., etc. Long story short, my final bill (had I been gullible enough to fall for this charade) would have been WELL over $500. for '2' tires that retail for $120. each ! Needless to say, I went to Firestone and got the same tire for the same price as your 'sale' price. Thanks, Tire Kingdom, for NOTHING!
The Williston, Vermont, location of Tire Kingdom has failed to pay a $330.00 refund that was promised on March 10,2011. They did $893 of repair work on my 1996 Jeep on March 9. When my son and I picked up the Jeep on March 9 and actually had the opportunity to look at an itemized bill, my son immediately saw that they charged for services that had just been done a couple of weeks before. Never mind that all of this could've been avoided had they not insisted on my paying via charge card over the telephone the night before. To his credit, the store manager immediately apologized and said that he would submit paperwork for an immediate refund. Nearly two months and multiple calls to the store manager, area manager, and corporate customer relations later -- no refund. Apologies are free; I want the refund and have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I'll never do business with a Tire Kingdom -- or one of their sister companies -- again.
Hello, my name is John russ and today I'll be answering each one of your complaints the best I can. I'll be doing this in the order they were posted so look for your name please. Mr. Schaefer, how did your wife go so long without noticing her purse and why is it tire kingdoms duty to send it back? Mr. Alexander, Ofcourse you'll need the coupon, how else would they know you saw the ad? Ms. Post, does your daughter cry that easy? Is she 12? But yes based on tire size the price does change. It's much quicker and simpler to take a 15 of opposed to a 17 run flat low profile for example. Mr. Coker, from your story it might be true that someone happened to your radiator while they worked on your truck. But to believe that a friends friends who worked at some place that one time is a reliable source of information is just laughable at best. Ms. Tallay, I'm on your side on this matter as long as the damage wasn't there before they worked on it. Mr. Woods, your story also seems to be good and I agree with you the manager should have taken care of it but BEWARE. Dissatisfied Customer, the fact you didn't leave a name leads me to believe your lying. Dear Pissed off customer, u mad bro? But really tire kingdom isn't allowed to write up a car like that if it wasn't actually just rims and tires. Dear Dr. Ronald P. De Vasto, thank you for your kind words and business. Mr. Wallace , compressors don't catch on fire, they aren't flammable. Compressors are 80% metal and 20% empty space. What is more likely is that the electrical problem they told you to go to the dealer for finally got so bad the wires arched and caused a fire. Mr. Bassett, your compliant explains nothing and has very poor grammar. I'm sorrt. Dear Claudia S, I agree with you and the manager appears to be in the wrong here. Dear John, If you haven't seen your last check you should probably talk to them about it. Dear Roland, It sounds like from your story that we weren't going to be happy with anything, tire kingdom has no say over what tires stick around or get discontinued. It isn't there fault they stopped making your tires and it seems they did everything they could to help. Dear jonjonhenry Did you tell them what tires you saw online? If not they might have just given the price on another tire not just the cheapest tire in the world. Ms. Duffy, If your car indeed need all those things then you didn't get scammed. Mr. Bagby, every shop in the world has shop fee maybe aside from Joe jacks back woods BBQ and tire repair. Ms. LaJeune, so because tire kingdom was running a sale on tires they must have put the nail in? Really? Ms. Jackson, I agree with you it appears the mechanic at that store did a bad job. Dear Rafael & Nilda Rodriguez-Risch, I agree with you. They dropped the ball. Mr. Carillo, the only possible way you could have gotten high milage is if you requested it. Mr. Marler, well that is all there fault if you need to call corporate. Dear L. Loriston I'd like to apologize for those two stores. Dear bob, cool story bro. Dear Stephanie, if it didn't freeze then it wasn't all water. Mr. Ochakoff, I apologize for bobby and his rudeness. Mr. Adams, please see what I said for bob. Dear blank, you forgot to leave a name. Ms.Santonino, thank you for your kind words and business. Dear mr. Ed T, no this was not corporate greed, the road hazard and alignment are in the commercials. And normally depending on the tire you still end up saving money over just getting 3 tires. Dear Zaki Basalath, This sale of for a curtain tire called a doral, it's possible that they didn't just have your size of tire. Mr. David, it appears the store was in the wrong in this case. Dear Brandy, yes some BMW's require the use of a dealer only tool to do an alignment, the older man probably already knew they didn't have the tool because a car like yours has come in while it worked there and they didn't have the tool for it either. Now the man with boogers running into his mustache I can't explain, sorry. Dear BoB, what does a pcv valve have to do with oil? Dear Will gunsaulus, you should be ashamed of your self for stealing from this company and for cheating...... The system. Dear ciolli's, it sounds to me like your husband bought tires instead of getting you a new coach purse. You better tighter the leash on him. Dear STUART CAR DEALER, your story and your grammar are vastly flawed. Dear mr. Bonar, how is it tire kingdoms fault if she just got a tire checked? Ms. Budd, It appears the store is at fault in this case. Dear mark, I suggest you get some help, your desire to hunt down peoples information is an unhealthy hobby. May I suggest bird watching or stamp collecting. Dear Bob Crockett, while places that our busy try to please everyone and get them all in, sometimes they must turn people away. Although the no rotation is there fault. Dear Michelle, your story already seemed off then add on you just happened to hear someone say what you were thinking on your drive over? That just hammers in the final nail in the your lying coffin. Dear Bobby, I agree with you, mark needs some help. Ms.Cash, sometimes a battery might read as it just needs a recharge but when charged then fails the test once again. This appears to have been the case. Mr. Dizon, first off he might not have actually known what your talking about some cars have splash shield on them while some don't. Next a lot of times splash shields are held on by plastic clips not screws. Third, they don't have a code for fixing splash shields, he just thought up a good number on his own so it's understandable he wouldn't know what would be 28 dollars. Dear RB, thank you for your five star rating but we're sorry one of there mechanics forgot to do something. Dear Jack woods, why did you stop to get your car worked on. On the way to the funeral? It's just silly. Next are you claiming your going to hurt someone if they try to sell you something you need? While some of you have valid claims most of you seem to be the type of people that no matter what someone did you'd never be happy. While others are complaining just because of something that was their own fault. Sometimes you need to take a step back from your issues and realize that your way of seeing it might not be the right way. The customer is always right doesn't apply when the customer doesn't know what they are talking about. Yours truly - John OE Russ.

I am writing to let someone know how very disappointed at the service I received at the NTB store #636 7412 Douglas BLVD. Douglasville, GA 30135. I took my truck in on 6/21/2011 @ 8:30am to have the tires rotated, balanced and checked for aignment. About 11:30am someone called and said 2 of the lugs were stripped, I told them to replace them. 3:30pm I had not heard from them so I started to the shop, and was called on the way telling me someone had to go pick up the parts, my truck would be ready 5:30pm-6pm. I went back at 6pm to be told the person left 5 minutes ago to get the part. I returned back at 7pm and the person was not there with the parts yet. I had him call the person and they said they were 2 minutes away. It should not have taken 11 hours to do the repairs, and on top of that I never received an apology for the long wait. I will not and will tell everyone that I know not to take their car or truck for repairs at any of the NTB. I am totally disappointed
