I have just returned from the Stop & Shop in Dennis, MA and am so disgruntled that I feel I must complain. I asked the woman doing the bagging to PLEASE not put all the heavy items in one bag. I explained that I had to carry my groceries up a flight of stairs to my apartment. She immediately placed 6 cans of cat food and 2 jars of spaghetti sauce in one bag. In the next bag she placed 3 rolls of paper towels and in the following bag ONE roll of paper towels. I told her before she started that I DID NOT NEED a plastic bag for the dry cat food. Well, guess what? that's right, she put it in another bag, Needless to say, when I arrived at my car I had to rearrange all of the items. Please tell me what she was thinking. Do you not have ANY training for these adults? She was not one of the mentally handicapped that are so often at this store and whom I have great patience for. She was an adult cashier. I plan to find out who the manager is of this particular store. It's unfortunate that it's the only super market in town and is only 2 miles from my home but I don't really feel that I am a captive audience.....it will be worth the gas dollars to shop in the next town,

The Stop & Shop in Quincy, on Newport Ave. has very poor service and the Manager's Steve for example is very rude and unprofessional. They tolerate and anything goes. I'm disappointed!!!!

I'm not much to complain about supermarkets but one of you establishments had me highly upset.... I've been a customer for stop and shop for a few years now and I see the treatement of the employees in store 581 is horrible.. Supervisors mistreating their employees lack of respect. A supervisor by the name of Daniella Spatola was belittling a few of her employees. No positive in that at all, someone needs to show her people skills. As for Dan Lloyd the store manager he has no acknowledgment of what a store manager is about unprofessional behavior and is not detailed orientated not by far.. so my question to you is how is our generation suppose to be far beyond our expectations when you hired anyone to manager your store.. In Staten island we have 2 of your stop and shop and the one on hylan Blvd disgusts me.. not cause of the cleanliness its you supervisor and store manager. They are supposed to make your company look good and they just make it look bad... Your management needs to learn respect and people skills if not find better management...

I AM COMPLAINING ABOUT THE NEW MANAGEMENT AT SAUGUS. THEY ARE RUDE TO THEIR EMPLOYEES. I WITNESSED ONE MANAGER YELLING IN THE FACE OF AN ELDERLY EMPLOYEE BEHIND THE DELI RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE CUSTOMERS. THE HEAD MANAGER IS ALWAYS YELLING AT THE YOUNGER CASHIERS AND BAGGERS WITH NO REGARD TO THEIR FEELINGS. I HAVE SEEN THEM SLAM THEIR HANDS DOWN ON THE BELTS AND SAY TO THE TEEN CASHIERS HEY YOU DO THIS OR WHAT TIME ARE YOU ON UNTIL. THE NEXT TIME I AM WITNESS TO THIS I AM GOING TO SAY SOMETHING. NO ONE DESERVES TO BE TREATED LIKE THAT. BRING BACK MR. TADDEO HE WAS NICE AND PLEASANT TO ALL. TAKE NOTICE KEVIN (MANAGER) THERE IS ALWAYS MARKET BASKET IN READING!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE CHEAPER AS WELL

On April-28-2011 I went the stop and shop store#675 in Waterbury ct. When I came out of the store I experinced a shopping cart into my car in your parking lot. I then notified the store manager name Sandro and he took pictures and said that I will be contacted in a few days. I waited for the call but no one called. I then went back to store 675 and spoke with Claudia the store manager. She was not very nice to me at all. She told me that I have to wait for the Mac insurance to call me. I said that they never called. I asked her for there number and she refused to give it to me. I also asked her for the corpoate office and she again refused. Here I am with a dent in my car, I am the victom and no one helps me. I finally found the corp office telephone number and I spoke with Ben and he gave me the number for Mac insurance. I got to speak with a Ms Simpson and she said that I would have to prove that my case. I could not believe this. I then called back Stop@shop an dspoke with Tawanna and she gave me a P.O. box adress so I can write my letter to Mr. Carl Schlicker upon my request. I asked her if there was a actual address so I can send my letter regietered mail. She said NO! I then went back oon line and found the Address No thanks to Towanna. I then spoke to a James and He was very informative. He confirmed the address that I found and he also said that I will be contacted by the district manager Joe Defrancisco. I really can't believe I am getting A run around. I am the victom and now have a dent that cost 1,076 dollars to repair which I dont have. This is so unfair. I hope this matter can be resolved. To Whom it May Concern, I was in the Super Stop & Shop in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, NY on 3/5 at 3:00 pm. The first thing that grabs your attention is that there are no shopping carts so you are forced to stalk people as they are coming out of the store for a cart. FYI it took me and my husband 10 minutes to locate a cart from an exiting customer. The second thing is the store is dirty, items have been spilled or dropped on the floor and left there. The toilet is a disgrace, the toilet and sink were filthy, paper on the floor, no soap, the list goes on. When you go to customer service, the people behind the desk could care less about you and your complaints. I will no longer shop at this store and I've been a loyal customer for 15 years. I am a long time customer of Stop and Shop.I just bought a $100.00 gift card for my mother.I gave it to her for her 86th birthday.When she went to use it she was told it was never activatated by the cashier.Now I am out the money.due to an incompetant cashier.

I Am A Very Upset when I Heard That The Stop&Shop In Glastonbury Ct.Took Water Bottles Away From Their Employees on the Resgisters!!that is so Heartless,These Employees stand all day on their Feet on that Cold Cement Floors and Get Very Dry Mouths and They Start Choking and Having That Water Bottle Handy Out Of The Customers Way and Sight So What Is The Big Deal and Problem why they cannot have A Water Bottle Under Their Counter??????I Know some of the Girls On The Registers Have To take Medication that leaves their mouth very dry and Hard for them to Swallow and they need that Water Bottle,,Please I am A Customer Who spends Hundreds of Dollars a week in your Store a Lot Of Money,If You Can Not Clear This Matter Up and Have a Heart and Some Feelings and Sympathy for these Girls On The Registers and For God Sake Give Them Back The Water Bottles,,Or They Will Get a Doctors Note and Then you can not do anything about it,,If That Was you and You Take Meds and Need That Water Bottle for their Health Problems,,If I Don't Get any results from your Store and you don't give the girls back their water then I Will Be Shopping Elsewhere,,A Customer with a Heart For the Girls On The Registers,,,,,,

Both yesterday in Hyannis, MA and today in South Yarmouth, MA - Station Ave, neither store had any beef inventory from Nature's Promise. Only 2 pieces of London Broil and nothing else. In Hyannis, the cutter called in sick, in South Yarmouth there was no product to cut. I realize there was a storm, but the bins were full of the beef that is not organic, so it seems Stop and Shop's only commitment is to poison me with beef fed with hormones, corn and soy. I work for the local newspaper, storm or not - we printed the paper and got it delivered. It's 2011, improve your methods. For now, I'll shop for my meat elsewhere, and buy my canned goods from you - which, btw, all the shelves were stocked full - no shortages of crap filled with soybean oil.

Very unpleasant experience at the self-check out station. No one came to help me for at least 10 minutes. This is not the first time. Well, if Stop and shop was paying a little more then a minimum wage perhaps their associate will do a better job! They change logo, branding and etc, but this wont make their customer happy. Will never come back to shop at this store!

stop and shop providence never has tape in the coupon dispenser. i've repeatedly used self check out and coupons dont't come out but curiously the reciept always does. go figure

OMG the girl in check out line had he friend there chatting with her while she rang me up The friend(not a worker) starting touching my groceries...picking them up and started tossing them....I said excuse me, I am trying to bag my grocies..she move do the side...the flipped her hair over her head...putting her head on the counter where my groceries where....yes her hair was on top of my food.....I went to the front asked for the manager...i told the manager what happened...she did not care and kept looking at checks in her hand....I said that I would call the corporate office because she was not interested in helping me....as I walked away..she yelled "Happy New Year" to me....Great Customer Service...NOT Is it a health issue that the girls hair was on my food?

Regarding Stop & Shop Patriot's Square South Dennis, MA. Really, one cashier ope at 9:00 a.m. just before Christmas!!! My 90 year old mom was assisted at the electronic cash register, however there wasn't anyone to bag her groceries and the cashier who helped her was already harried. I bagged her groceries. Was my 90 year old mother expected to bag her own groceries?? I had four small items so went to the next electronic register where I could not buy the gift card at that register. I would have had to go to the one "live" cashier who already had 10 or so people in line. I had to bother the other cashier to give her the gift card which I am not going back to purchase. Furthermore, it's a good thing I'm honest because it was so busy there someone else might have walked out with the gift card. This note is not a complaint about the great men and women who work in that store. They're always polite and helpful.

At this point in time with the smell of septic, started just in the frozen food now its all the way over to the peoples bank. I left a cart of groceries because the smell was so bad. I will not return until the problem is solved, I'll go to Wal Mart, and I'm also going to let the State of CT be aware of the stench that inside, and if this is septic gases, this is a big problem for Stop and Shop. Please just fix it, its been weeks. Then the stars will go back to 5 but until then 1

Hello my name is Nelson Alicea and I am pleased to say that the customer service that a cashier by the name of Delia provides is outstanding. She is very friendly,courteous, and professional. She always has a smile on her face and is always going the extra mile to help anyone out.. There is never a dull moment when I enter Store 639 and see her there. She definatley makes my shopping experience a pleasure. I witnessed an elderly woman who was standing in front of me in line and she did not have the full amount to pay for her groceries, she then asked the cashier, Delia to start eliminating a few of her items. The customer was short 9.00 dollars and Delia pulled her money out of her pocket and told the woman, "Dont worry I'll put in the rest of the money to complete". The woman was so happy she gave her a hug and said Thank you. It was very kind for her to put in her own money without any hesitation she definatley needs to be to be recognized by the manager for such a job well done.

Hello, I just want to say that I had the nicest thing happen to me and my boy- friend today at Stop&Shop #071 (info on my receipt)at Rodman St in Fall River,Ma The store manager is Gary Pinto.We did not have enough to spend $25.00 We spent $22.35 not enough to get the turkey at the saving at $7.00 it was going to be $14.00. so I said take the turkey out. The manager came over to bag the items and ask how our day was, and I said not to good no....turkey. He said that I could have it at the savings and said he was sorry for the problem..... oh my..... I just think that was so nice and its been awhile that someone has been so kind.. Please let him know that kindness is a great think to have and he is the BEST!!!!!!I will surly continue to shop there and I will tell EVERYONE of my great experience there THANK-YOU MR.GARY PINTO. Store 0831 625 Paterson Avenue, Carlstadt, New Jersey. Consumers be aware there pricing of products on shelves do not match the check out prices; as well as, the bathrooms are disgusting. The management needs to address these issues and not lolla gag

This is regarding the Stop & Shop on Oak Street in Glastonbury CT. I have spoken to a manager, however never the store manager because he is never there which may explain why I have had so many problems, regarding the lack of customer service and friendliness of the staff. This was in regards to the daytime deli shift and some of the individuals handling the self check out. Today I was in this very store and when there was an issue with the register and it started to blink for "help is on the way" the young man (NATE) who was training a young lady came over to see what was wrong and upon arriving he looked at the trainee and said "this is the kinda shit they do that I was telling you about". When I confronted him, he firmly denied that he was talking about me. (never denying that he said this very statement) I attempted to get in touch with Mike Doonan, whom I was told was the district/general manager and was given quite the run around. When I finally called another location for the information I was told that he was at corporate and there was no where to leave a message but I could try again tomorrow. It seems to me that you are not all that interested in hearing what your customers have to say and that getting in touch with a Manager or District/General Manager is not something that you want your customers to do. Therefore, I will be visiting the newly opened Shop Rite here in town and will gladly give them my business.
