A breath of fresh air...

Thank you to Chris from Spirit for finding my 11 yr olds. school library book and a book he received from his momom. Not only did she find them, but she called us to let us know and them shipped them Fed Ex! This is old school customer service and a breath of fresh air! Going to the extra mile! Awesome!

Spirit Airline is the worst, on my reentry to the US coming from Haiti. I had to pay more money on a round trip ticket that was purchase in the US or they would not let me board the plane. Their was no receipt given when I ask for one the person walked away. How long will the public put up with this nosence.... there rating is zero.....

Horrible

Horrible airline I would never recommend this airline to anyone. They swore at me and told me that the voucher was the biggest scam ever because it only is capable of being used on tuesdays. Horrible airline

Scheduled flight to Orlando on 2/3/2013

My flight was cancelled approx 30 minutes before takeoff to Orlando from Ft. Lauderdale on Feb. 3, 2013 because some crew members had called in sick. Flight was rescheduled for 24 hours later. Had to get a rental car for the trip to Orlando that Sunday morning. This performance is totally unsatisfactory.

Worst Airlines Ever

I have spent alot of money with Spirit and our last trip was the worst experience ever. I made my whole family book spirit and we had 7 passengers with us. It was around Christmas time so we spent much more on each ticket. About 700.00 per ticket. They tricked us into signing a form that they were not responsible for our baby stroller. When we landed in Chicago, the stroller was in pieces and they said there was nothing they would do. Then the manager said they would give us our money back for the stroller if we went to get the original receipt. We sent the receipt in which was around 720.00. They said we didnt send them the right receipt and the 30 days is up so the claim was denied. I will never fly this airline again and neither will anybody we know. Hope it was worth it.

Worst airline and dirty plane

My girl friend and I left this morning for Vegas. The plane was two hours late and when we got on, the seats were dirty, crumbs on the seat, sticky seat belt, dirty tray and insulation hanging from the ceiling on to our heads and no one cared. So freaking awful!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Where to begin with this garbage airline, I was booking 3 tickets from Chicago to vegas 7 months in advance and check out page said 802 dollar's get to confirmation page and it says 844 they added insurance after I clicked no thanks, took a hour of complaining to get it credited back to card, emailed a complaint get a BS response asked to be comped free carryon bag or conjoining seats they said no asked to cancel my tickets and fly with another airline they said no horrible customer service, im a call center customer service rep would never treat customers like that stuck flying spirit and my flight isnt for 6 months cant wait for a class action lawsuit on this conpanyj

Funeral

I booked a flight through a third party on 01/30/13 to attend my uncle's funeral on 02/2/13 leaving on 02/01/13 and returing 02/03/13. I was email my itinerary/receipt for flight 667 leaving from BWI to FLL with round trip fare of $551.40. Hours later I receive an email stating to contact ticket agent there is a problem with my purchase. Spirit advertised price was incorrect and price was doubled. Spirit was not honor the price however they continut to advertise the same flight for under $600 on other other websites. I will never book directly or indirectly with Spirit. I am unable to attend my uncle's funeral.

Baggage liability

I was considering signing up for the Spirit credit card on our flight down to Orlando on 1/21/13 which included perks for free flights. I decided to sign up for the card on the flight back to Chicago on 1/26/13. After having my husband's camera and two new camera chips pilfered from his luggage on the flight down I decided we will never fly Spirit again. I will inform everyone I know about the company's policy to allow their employees free reign over the contents of your luggage. All employees I spoke with on the phone and at the airlines seemed unconcerned.

The worst company ever! Tried to book a group reservation on Monday when the price was $287. They got back to me on Friday with $472! No customer service whatsoever, phone calls goes straight to voice mail. Bye, Spirit....

Much like many of the reviews I have read Spirit Airlines sucks. I booked 2 flights in the past week. Both my sons are Surfers and are going to Puerto Rico, different dates. On booking the second flight I decided to TRY the 9.00 rate club. Instead of being charged 19.95 for the 90 day trial I was charged 59.95 for an entire year. Trying to talk to Customer Service is an exercise in masturbation. I spent most of my morning trying to speak to someone in AMERICA! When I asked to be transferred to a US Agent I was told they could not help me with that. And how unfair that you have to rate a company that deserves a MINUS before you can comment.

lost luggage

Our two carry on suitcaseswere taken away at the gate even though they were cleared to board at the ticket counter. Flight # 807 traveling from Fort Lauderdale Florida, to Bogota- Colombia. We have contacted the airport /airline and no one knows the where abouts of the luggage.

Horrible

They cancelled my flight and left me no recourse but to buy a new flight on another airlines for a $1,000 the day of my flight. NEVER USE!

This company is full of liers and cheats

This company books connecting flights, knowing quite well that it is impossible to go through customs, get your bag, take a bus to another terminal, check your bags in at the counter, then walk through security and two other terminals to make it to the gate. I was told to "just hurry up you'll make it" by multiple spirit agents. And after other people in my connecting flight didn't make it the supervisor had the audacity to tell each of us individually that we where the only person to not make it when we all had seen each other on the previous flight. Like I can't see every person sweating and gasping for air just running around frantically. And that seemed to be with every flight. Besides that all flights where over 2 hours delayed and all the ticket agents act like "duh, I don't know!" I will never fly in this airline ever. Not because of the delays or problems but because their employees have no problem boldly lying to your face.

Disgusted

I AM A 73YEAR OLD SENIOR CITIZEN,I CAME BACK FROM LAS VEGAS TO SAN DIEGO ON DECEMBER 28TH 2012, FIRST I WAS CHARGED 50 DOLLARS FOR ONE SMALL SUITCASE, THEN WHEN I GOT TO THE GATE THE PLANE WAS LATE GETTING THEIR, WHEN MYSELF AND THE OTHER PASSENGERS GOT ON THE PLANE I ASKED THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT IF HE WOULD PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY BAG HE SAID HE WOULD BE THERE IN JUST A MINUTE, IN THE MEAN TIME ANOTHER PASSENGER HELPED ME, WHEN WE ARRIVED IN SAN DIEGO, NO FLIGHT ATTENDANT TO HELP ME GET MY BAG, AS I GOT OFF THE PLANE HE WAS STANDING BY THE DOOR, I AM CERTAINLY GOING TO BOYCOTT THIS AIRLINE AND I HOPE ALL SENIOR'S DO I AM ALSO GOING TO WRITE A LETTER TO AARP I WILL NEVER FLY SPIRIT AGAIN.

Absolutely disgusted with Spirit airlines

First if zero stars was an option that's what they deserve. I was traveling back from costa rica on 12/3/12 only to have my 9PM connecting flight cancelled. 1. checked my email later that eve and realized that orbitz had told me 90 minutes earlier that it was cancelled then spirit did. After waiting on a long line to figure out what was going on I got to the front and was given a hotel room and a voucher for $27 for meals. This is were it gets interesting. The couple on line in front of me says tell them you would rather have a free flight and pay for your hotel. I was told I was getting a free flight anywhere spirit flew period. I then went to the hotel room I purchased and was told by the shuttle driver that they get a ton of business specifically from spirit cancelling flights. 2. So Monday I attempted to use my voucher for a flight to San Diego for new years from Denver. Called spirit and was told no your voucher is not good for that flight. Already a bad taste in my mouth i said then I want to go to Costa Rica on x date in Feb. No you can't. Then said I want to go to Miami on x date again no. I then said you tell me when I can go to any of those destinations and was not you can't go to any of those destination at all with your voucher. Never felt so taken in ,y life Spirit suck!!!!!

My wife and I flew this excuse for an airline this week and were never informed that they charge for me to carry on a bag. Without purchasing it in advance, which is $40, they charge you $50 per bag at the ticket counter. If you dont pay there it is $100 per carry-on at the gate. Unbelieveable, a bag that I carry, I put on the plane, I put in the overhead bin, a bag they never touch or incur any cost in employee services, I had to pay $100 for 2 bags going and $70 for returning. Nothing more than extortion. I will never fly Spirit Airlines again.

Poorly trained customer service

Evidently, these reviews mean absolutely nothing to the corporate offices or headquarters of spirit airlines. If this was an attachment on line it would be considered SPAM (SCAM). This seems to be the worst organized system I've ever encountered. They require a cancellation fee that is more than the original ticket. It does not matter what your reason is or how much time in advance it may be. I agree with alot of the other reviews; I will not use or recommend this airlines in the future. Evidently you have to rate this company or experience between 1 - 5. I really believe it deserves a strong 0

Worst Airline

i don't know how people putting no star rating, but that's what I would rate as well. But it wouldn't let me. My parents were going to meet my husband and I in Oregon for Thanksgiving, but my mom got sick. When we got back from vacation we called to get credit for another flight since they weren't able to make it and so far they said there's nothing they can do. How can an airline take your money and not give you anything for it. It's like they are making money for nothing. I so should have read the reviews before making reservation with a new airline I had never heard of before. They also have foreign people working the phones so you can't completely understand what they are saying.

HORRIBLE

I hate Spirit. I booked a flight well in advance and a couple days later, there was a better deal. When I called to see if I could get the better deal, they told me that I'd have to cancel my current deal for $125 to switch to the other deal, which would negate all my efforts entirely. Then my Grandma accidentally chose seats for me when she went to buy a bag for me and they refused to refund the $36. Honestly, who charges for choosing seats? It should be a first-come,first serve basis anyway. Spirit prides themselves on saving people money? They need to change their mission statement asap. I will NEVER fly with Spirit again. You have my word. They shouldn't even get one star. And the person I talked with was Japanese and I couldn't understand them AT ALL.
