Be very very careful

This airline is impossible to deal with. I would have happily paid twice the amount with another airline to avoid the hassles I had with this airline. If this is how they run their customer service, I would hate to think of how their maintenance department is run. In fact, the phone number for their corporate office is "disconnected". NEVER AGAIN.

Worst customer relations

I received a promotional voucher for 20,000 miles but it was never applied to my account. Tried to contact customer relations to determine why I never received my promotional miles but it was impossible to get to a live person to discuss the situation. I finally gave up! Recently I was informed the my promotional miles(that I never received) have expired and they backed them out of my frequent flier account.

Horrific Flight

While flying with Spirit I had a huge obese man next to me and taking his seat and mine. I paid extra to get an emergency aisle seat for an additional $50.00, and had to be moved due to this huge mass next to me. I should have gotten a refund which Is basically impossible. I was going to file a complaint, but Spirit charges $25.00 just to file a complaint against their company. Is that not ironic.

NO Live person

Called every number under the sun just to try and speak with a live rep , to ask a simple question could not get an option to speak with anyone . and then they have the stupid recording , this call may be monitored or recorded .. Why record it , you cant speak to anyone anyhow . This whole airline is a big joke

Worst Carrier

Do not waste your time. Spirit is the worst Airline Carrier. I am surprised they are still in business. Never on time....crew rude..flights constantly canceled...

Complaints

I also waited for over an hour this am trying to get an answer regarding the $9 Fare Club. I finally spoke to a rep who promised to transfer me to a live person; that I didn't need to wait. I did wait another 15 minutes. Richard, the rep I finally spoke to, was able to help me. For an airline that promotes customer service it is sad to write - wake up Corporate Office & do some revamping!

. The Mafia Airline

Worst airline ever!!! What looks like a good deal really isn't. They charge you additional fees for everything. My flight from San Diego to Las Vegas , and Vegas to San Diego .to a convention. outrageous price.for baggage $90 for 2 bags, my and my spouse,plus $190 for over weigh, they only allow 40 pounds, how can you go to a convention for 5 days caring only a small bag? total just for the baggage $ 400. I will never flight this airline again. thats whyn a call the MAFIA AIRLINE.

CUSTOMER SERVICE "CONTACTS"

Flight for AC to Atlanta, GA - June 5, 2013. Flight was 3 1/2 hours delayed. Everyone was promised a $50.00 Voucher. With a 60 day time limit to apply and 1 year to use. What a JOKE. There is no way to apply for this voucher on line, as promise, never less a contact person/number.

Pregnant and stuck in baggage claim for 12 hours. Customer Service was not helpful and very rude.

We recently used Spirit airlines to fly to Orlando, FL. We specifically booked a reservation early so that we can get to our destination and have a complete day of travel. The flight was delayed for two hours. We waited on the plane for a hour and then we were told to exit the plane for another hour. We arrived two hours late to our destination and by the time we located our luggage and arrived at our hotel, the day was over. Our reservations were unsuccessful for dinner and we were exhausted from arriving early and for being misdirected this way and that at the airport. The seats were unable to recline and the airline did not supply another as much as a bag of chex mex for the inconvenience. I will never use this airline again.

Deeply Disappointed

My father collapsed and was rushed to the hospital on the first day that I arrived in town for the 4th of July weekend. I called Spirit Airline to rebook my ticket so that I could stay in town for his operation. There were no tickets available on Spirit for me to change my flight (which is understandable, as it was a holiday weekend). I was forced to book my return flight on another airline. Even though I notified Spirit in advance of the emergency nature of my situation, I was offered a standard "refund" that would have returned about $13 of my purchase price for the ticket. I was deeply disappointed by the Spirit official response that no situation justifies a refund (or credit, for that matter), and I hope that Spirit will institute a more human (and humane) policy in the future. I do understand that all airlines operate on a tight profit margin, but the notion of profit should be balanced by a sense of common decency.

cheaper is not better

They do not supervise their employees, do not be bullied like we were and made to have your child cry thinking they are at fault, sprit airline employees should not be making decisions that make their company liable, so from this day forward I ask all smart knowledgeable americans do not be bullied, use your phones, record names and faces and what these employees are saying that way it will not be your word against theirs..it will be their own words that will prove my point, they bullied us for 100$ trying to recoup fees they had to pay for cancelling our flight then delaying our flight another 3 hrs, I told them that day..100$..i will spend 100 hours dedicating myself to educating the world, if one two twenty people chose another airline...I thank you, cheaper is not always better,you deserve to give you and your family a good trip, fly with someone else.

Trip to Las Vegas,lost refund on return trip

To Spirit Airline, I do not ever plan on travelling on your aircraft ever again in life. In April of this year, I booked a flight for my two granddaughters and myself to Las Vegas,Nevada,for a college tour at UNLV. Because I was ill, as I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis, and called in late ,our return ticket to NY. was not honored. We were not given any retribution, and lost the fare,in addition to the baggage fees that had been paid.WE had to borrow money,to make new reservations with another airline.To date, I have heard nothing from the "EVIL SPIRIT AIRLINE!" I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN ON LIMITED RESOURCES.

rediculous

i had just one quick easy question about baggage and was on hold for an hour after going thru about 5 different automated recordings on their customer service phone line. Rediculous!!

Spirit airline STINKS!!!

First we had a 3 hour delay. Then our flight home was cancelled, then rescheduled, then delayed. 24 hours later finally took off. Gave us $21 food voucher to only spend in airport. That's just enough for one person to eat in an airport and their were two of us. They did however pay for a hotel room. We are not the only customers that were very dissatisfied. I am sure after this there will be a lot of people not flying Spirit Airlines.

Stuck Family for 12 hours

My family and 6 other kids are still stuck in MCO (ORLANDO) they are providing zero solutions. My wife has been in line for 3 hours and yet 30 people plus in front of her.... THEY NEED SOMEONE HEPING THERE NOW!!!! What is wrong with you people???

This by far is the worst - disgraceful airline to fly on! I flew from Montego Bay to FLL and literally watched my connecting flight close the gate in my face without me on it. I had to spend the night in the airport - not offered any compensation because of their delay in Montego Bay is what caused me to watch my connecting flight pull off in front of my eyes. I arrive in Denver only to not have my bags mind you I paid them to put on their airline - I been in Colorado for almost 5 days with no clothes nor can I get through to Spirit - just a bunch of recordings and press numbers but no live person! Traveler's beware - DO NOT EVER FLY WITH THIS AIRLINE - if you are a rude person this would be the perfect job because the associates pride themselves on rudeness! Oh and you can put a minus before the 1 rating!

worst airlines ever!!! my son paid for one piece of luggage twice in error. tried to get a refund and customer service-which I waited a half hour for-would not issue. I was transferred more than once to speak to a supervisor. was disconnected once and then waited over 20 minutes for another supervisor to pick up. I told them it was disgraceful that after 911 the airlines did not know how many pieces of luggage a passenger had checked in. they offered a credit for future travel that had to be booked within 60 days. I don't feel safe if they cannot track luggage and airport they fly out of is not convenient for my family. STAY AWAY FROM SPIRIT AIRLINES. My next call is to corporate when I have a few hours to spare! lol
