I was just at the new pick n save on 76th in Greenfield, WI and bought a bag of cheetos, and 2 Amp energy drinks. I went to their self check out and paid for everything and headed out to my car. A security man followed and told me I did not pay for one of my cans of amp so I followed him into the store where he had me wait in his office. He took my ID and got the manager or owner (not sure which) to print out copies of the ID. They were going to ban me from all pick n save stores in the area and I was just going to have to pay the price of an amp and i would get to leave. However, when I showed them my receipt it was clear that I did pay for all 3 of my items and that the self check out messed up and didnt ring in my amps as 2 seperate items but as one item for $3 and some cents instead of the normal 1.79 or whatever price a single amp is. The security guy said that i was looking around in the aisle, i normally do that when there is more than one flavor of a soda/energy drink, i think we all do that. Huge inconvenience and I'm dissapointed since im at that pick n save almost everyday..
I shop at Rainbow Foods in Lakeville, Mn and had a billing issue during my last visit. Customers rarely share positive feedback and, since I had an excellent experience, I wanted to share that with you. I paid for my groceries with a personal check. That check was entered incorrectly into the register. It was very busy in the store so I offered to write a second check to move things along. The store manager (Sara) requested that I contact her if both checks were cashed. Both were, in fact, cashed but Sara contacted me first. She gave me the phone number to contact corporate billing. My issue was promptly noted (I could hear data entry as I spoke), and she advised me that someone would contact me within 24-48 hours. I received the next call less than two hours later. The person advised me that they could see the error and pledged to credit my checking account within a few days. The very next day, my credit appeared. Through this process, I worked with four emeployees and each one handled my situation with understanding and excellent customer service. I intend to thank the store personnel personally and wish to extend kudos to a quality organization.

My son was a employee of Pick -N- Save for 3 years with a perfect record and a hard worker was told by one his assiting managers that he was going to be get a promotion soon, buy never happen so one day in his frausation threw a box up a camera in a cooler 2x and the camera angle was moved but was still in working. Then a few days later he was call into the manager office and was told that he was subspened until a investigation was completed because some product was open and empty. This was done by some other individuals in that department. He was fired for moving the camera, but the problem I have with this is that he should have been subspened for a couple a days, since other employee's do worst things. Pick-N-Save has a double standard when it comes to management does something bad enough (worst than moving a camera) to justify then just being transfer to another store to hidden their problems, but a kid that needs to learn from their mistakes doesn't get a second chance, it just the case that the corporation needed to cut hours to make their quarter look good.
I would like to upload a photo for you, but i cannot. I recently purchased a pizza, actually 4 pizzas, from my local Pick and Save. To my surprise, when i opened the pepperoni pizza, there on top of the light, light, light cheese, was the fabulous 4 slices of pepperoni!!!!!! FIVE SLICES!!! I am very dissapointed as I buy your brand a lot. I would not recommend this pizza to anyone.
On Jan 2 2012 My wife and I were shopping at the Pick N Save on Mayfair Rd just south of North Ave! As we were checking out we heard two black males screaming at an older white female who was an employee there! I asked our cashier if he knew what was going on and he said "They are always like that, that is just the way it is"! I asked do they work here and his response was YES!I said that is unprofessional and asked the cashier to call up a manager on duty! When the Mgr arrived I informed him of what was going on and he said he would handle it! He went outside and immediately came back in! As we were leaving with our groceries, the two black males followed us outside and started making comments such as "Whatch you lookin at"? Another comment was "That's right boy I said it" On our way home they were behind us and I quickly turned the opposite direction!I called Corporate and they investigated it and told me they (Two black males) are good employees and I should not be afraid to go back in to that store! I will say this! Go to hell Pick N Save/Roundy's! I have been in the security business for 21 years and have seen employees attack a customer because the customer looked at the employee "The Wrong Way" Never ever will I buy anything from Roundy's Supermarkets!
I have been a weekly customer of Pick n Save in Franklin, Wisconsin for over 15 years. I spend an average of $200+ weekly on groceries at Pick n Save. Not anymore. I am so disgusted with the number of products that are expired! Fresh foods, dairy, bottled vitamin water ... I have found many of these items to be expired by as much as SIX MONTHS, including yogurt! That is not only disgusting but very unsafe. With Wal Mart and Target now having groceries I have taken my business there instead. Warning to all: check the expiration dates of everything you put in your cart while at all Pick n Save stores!
I VISITED THE STORE ON 1735 W, SILVER SPRING AND I WAS COUGHED ON DIRECTLY IN MY FACE BY THE CASHIER AND WAS NOT GIVEN AND APOLOGY EVEN AFTER REPEATELY ASKING. WHEN I ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER THE INDIVIDUAL I ASKED WAS WORKING DOING BAGGING AND SHE FOUND IT VERY FUNNY THAT I EVEN SAID SOMETHING ABOUT IT. WHEN I ASKED HER IF SHE FOUND THAT FUNNY SHE BECAME ARGUMENTIVE WITH ME. I WILL NOT BE GOING TO THAT LOCATION AGAIN IF THIS IS THE KIND OF TREATMENT I CAN EXPECT. AS I WAS LEAVING IN THE PARKING LOT I TALKED WITH ANOTHER CUSTOMER THAT SAID SHE HAS IN THE PAST HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS STORE AS WELL. I THINK ROUNDYS' EMPLOYEES COULD BE A BIT MORE COURTEOUS AND AT THAT LOCATION THE CASHIER NEED RETRAINING AS TO HOW TO ACT WITH THE CUSTOMERS.
Wow...I could not describe my experience today at Rainbow #8859 in Woodbury, MN any better than Karen Z did on 10/30. However, I would rate Rainbow/Roundy's at a 1 star(poor) versus 5 stars (best). [:-( The shopping experience has become totally terrible and unbearable...it is no longer worth the "pocket change" of savings that might be achieved. If I had to work there, I would apply to another supermarket ASAP. At this rate, it's just a matter of months before the lights go out. Corporate marketing management(aka customer manipulators) and the "Chairman of the Board" obviously don't care about keeping customers and growing their business any longer. This unpleasant food shopping experience is permanently over for this individual customer who would typically spend $60 to $ 80+ per week...adios mi amigos. [What was once a quality supermarket is now a Roundy's market with high prices, very poor selection of produce, meat, bakery and actually, most everything a housewife would shop for. Compound that with promotions that are of little benefit to the consumer, one has to wonder what is going on with the Roundy chain. Many times only l or 2 register's are open...clerk's are pushed to doing everything from retriving carts from the parking lot to bagging their own items - even when the store is busy and there are long lines. It doesn't take much to understand that the employees who have been providing excellent service under the former management are only staying with the store because there are limited jobs all over. ]

I am so disappointed with the way Rainbow has treated Mr.Ostrom. First he was stabbed on the job, then fired. I don't believe the corporate explanation. He won the hearing for unemployment. He's being railroaded by Rainbow. We have spent lots of money at Rainbow over the years. We've been loyal customers. No More. We have a Cub near us, too. They will get all our business.
I don't know who in heaven's name decided to construct the parking lot in the fashion it is at the Greenfield, WI Pick and Save. It is dangerous. You have to be so watchful at each division of the islands, PLUS the outgo and incoming entrances. I just can't wait to see how it will be in winter when the snow plows have to cope with where to pile it, or the customers having to cope driving through it in horrible conditions. Very, very, dangerous situation. I'll shop at a Sendiks near my home which I have done for over a year. At least their shelves are fully stocked at all times and the parking is a pleasure.
To whom it may concern: But I have become more & more disappointed in the managers, that Have been so controling and disrepectful to employeers, and so fake its sad there not true ..its my worst Job i ever had ,hate it and im being honest, they disscriminate against me and favor others ill have to check in to that ...
Metro Market in Mequon. Though the store 'presents' itself well, I recently had a altercation with the store. They accused me of 'stealing' something out of the store, when in fact, AFTER the DA reviewed the taped, clearly dismissed my case. This is what a corporation does to gain customers?? Think twice about going and giving business to anyplace that doesn't appreciate you as a customer. I am taking this one step further, for all the mental grief I had to live with this summer until I got this dismissed. Can't run a store, find another occupation.
I have always purchased Roundy's facial tissue - the boxes matched my bathroom colors - cranberry and the brown boxes matched my cabinets. I was going to stock up on them last week and see that those colored boxes are no longer available and now they are green, orange, and blue which do not match anything! Will the brown and cranberry colors come back?
This is not a review of a supermarket but a review of a Roundys product. I bought Roundys Butcher's Cut Double Smoked Thick Bacon. It is excellent! as good as high priced meat market bacon. PS The store in Eagle River was clean and had good prices but again only two checkouts open. Staff quite helpful.
Not sure what's up at Rainbow in Woodbury (Valley Creed Plaza, MN). Just spent 20 minutes in line to check out (I realize it's 4 p.m. Saturday, but unless it's Thanksgiving, this is uncalled for). A quarter of the lanes were not open. In addition, shelves were a little bare ... I got the last sweet corn worth buying and the bananas that were left I wouldn't feed to an animal. Are there staffing issues? The silver lining ... I was able to read an entire issue of People magazine without buying. You know Saturdays are busy ... staff accordingly! Here's the real kicker ... went on line to send a private message and the automated email system doesn't seem to take comments. Hmmm .... Guess they don't care to hear where they might be able to improve.
the pick n save in sussex has some of the rudest and incompotent people working there, especially in the deli dept.and the customer no service desk.who needs facebook when you only need to stand and wait at the desk and you know all the plans the girls have made.speaking of the deli if i see that dope from austalia touching fresh cut meat with his BARE hands i just might jump the counter
I just opened a package of roundy's deluxe shells and cheddar dinner. I might just as well opened a box of salt and eaten it. It is a terrible product. Like eating salty plastic. How can it possibly be a good thing to add your name to a product like this? I realize now that I should have taken the time to read the label before purchasing, but foolishly thought a roundy product would be a good one. With the price of food being what it is I weep as I scrape this into the garbage and go to bed hungery. I probably will not stop shopping at Roundy's but I sure will be a lot more careful of what I buy.
