I would like to say that if there are so many unhappy people/customers out there and there are that many unhappy employees out there, why not, get new staff, who are excited about their job. Motivate your employees..........this is the managers job. Train your employees before placing them on the floor. Have check ups/inspections and training classes updated and mandatory to keep on improving on service. It is an ongoing thing, not just get a job and that's the end of it. I wish I would have an opportunity to work in corporate office to incorporate and implement such ideas. There are many of us out here who are excellent at customer service, marketing and so much more if we are given the chance can help make a difference. Thank you for reading. I can be reached at nefishakh@hotmail.com for anyone willing to offer me a job to help build their business with class, reliability and enthusiasm.

I have been shopping at the University and Tuttle Publix in Sarasota Fl 34243 for a very long time and when I went to the deli I noticed a older lady talking down to one of her young coworker... I was shocked and embarrassed!!! I couldn't get the ladies name her name tag was hanging down and I could not see it. I continued to shop and relaxed a bit so I didn't go to customer service with the complaint, but when I got home it bother me and I felt bad for the young employee. I am 59 years old and I hope I never treat anyone like that shame on her!! Besides this complaint I really like shopping at this store and enjoy everybody in all the other depts. GREAT STORE!!

PUBLIX MANAGER HAS TEEN'S CAR TOWED AND STRANDS SEVERAL HIGH SCHOOL HONOR STUDENTS IN A LIGHTENING STORM! TREASURE ISLAND BEACH FL PUBLIX MANAGER DID THIS!!! The kids were going to a drum circle on a Sunday night. Publix would be closed and they parked in the Publix parking lot. Their car was towed leaving them on Treasure Island Beach in the thunder storm. I will NEVER EVER shop at any Publix ever again and I will be starting a Facebook page for people to BOYCOTT Publix Super Markets! So far it will cost $155.00 just to get this student's car out of the impound!

I BELIEVE PUBLIX HAS GONE DOWNHILL,LIVING ON PAST PERFORMANCE AND ADOPTING AN ALMOST ARROGANT ATTITUDE. I QUIT SHOPPING A PUBLIX ON MY WAY HOME BECAUSE OF STORE RESET.THE PRODUCTS IN THE STORE WERE COMPLETELY RESHUFFULED, MAKING IT VERY DIFFUCULT TO SHOP. I COULD NOT FIND THE FOOD ITEMS I NEEDED,CONSEQUENTLY I QUIT SHOPPING AT THAT LOCATION AND FOUND ANOTHER PUBLIX IN THE AREA. I WAS SHOPPING AT THIS LOCATION,WINDSOR COMMONS JACKSONVILLE,UNTIL TODAY. THEY DID THE SAME THING AND RESET THE ENTIRE STORE. I WAS TALKING TO A NEIGHBOR IN THE STORE AND SHE REMARKED HOW EASY IT IS TO SHOP WAL-MART JUST UP THE STREET. RESETS ARE DONE TO GET SHOPPERS IN THE STORE TO WALK ALL THE AISLES MAKING IT MORE DIFFICULT FOR YOU TO MAKE YOUR PURCHASES IN A TIMELY MANNER. MY NEIGHBOR COMMENTED'' THEY SHOULD HAVE PAINTED A RED LINE OUT OF PUBLIX STRAIGHT TO WALMART''. PUBLIX WILL NOT GET ANY OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY EVER AGAIN.

i would like to inform you of an incident several people witnessed outside of the publix sttore in key west fl.on sept.11th, 2010.It was a publix customer and a manager by the name of kevin piper, this manager brutally attacked the customer from behind, beat him really bad.I still see this manager working,i wonder how he treats his employees, has anyone looked into this?Is he allowed to go around beating people, and noone does anything about it,I really hope corporate takes this matter in their hands.thank you.

I have been utilizing the Publix Palm Valley, Fl. pharmacy for three years. In the past three months, it has taken an average of TWO visits to get my prescription completed.....they never have enough stock to complete my rx. Additionally, the now "lead" pharmacist has made several errors regarding copay(had to return twice for refunds) and now has switched my usual med to a generic - without my approval - incurring yet another trip to get it right. This store is a wonderful shopping experience. In the past, the pharmacy was a top notch operation. Now, the store and its staff continue to be terrific. However, since the new computer system has gone into the pharmacy (with the change in phone message that is simply horrid!!) and change in "leadership" - the pharmacy is a mess. PLEASE CHECK INTO THIS!!!!! Respectfully submitted, Mrs. Samantha Sager

I shop at the publics market in Palm coast Fl at the store on Palm coast pkway and Belle Terre from time to time when I am down here.I am a life long NYer.On 3 seperate occassions I purchased your alledged filet mignon. All three times it had a weird taste like the meat you get @ outback it was grissily and chewy.I was charged 18 dollars a pound,is this stuff from downed cattle or something? you people should be arrested for charging so much for meat that slaves would not even eat.If you sent it to Africa the poor would send it back !additionally I purchased some beef back ribs. One package was ok the other package was obviously repackaged and the date was changed.I know this to be a fact because when I opened the package it smelled like a dead body and was brown and dry on the bottom. It seems when the people go North after the summer the quality of your meat goes south. Please be advised that I intend to contact the board of health as well.If you want to see what filet mingon suppose to taste like shop a store called hannaford. They sell filet mignon tails for 7 dollars a pound and they are outstanding

I live in key west florida,i am a customer at the publix grocery store,i'm just letting everyone know what poor value the managers in that store have, i have witnessed several times how rude they are with the customers that go there. They look at everyone as if they were delinquents,i will not shop there anymore and will let everyone know that employees there have no manneres, they need to rehire everyone in that store,it's so disapointing to know there are human beings like that. THANK YOU,SINCERELY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER!!!!!!!!!

I've been shopping at Publix stores since 1972 in various Florida counties, I also worked with Publix as a representative of a Dade county milk company, "Home Milk", and participated in new store openings, midnight resets and PR with store managers, dairy managers and supervisors. Every person I have dealt with at Publix has been professional, courteous, intelligent with common sense that the company requires. I have been shopping at the New Port Richey, Chelsea Place on Seven Springs Boulevard Publix store for over seven years, all of this time I have been treated with respect and courtesy, until I attempted to receive a Western Union money transfer yesterday 7/29/10 at 5:00 PM. I handed the receive money form to the employee at the service desk, she informed me that there was an error in the spelling of one of the words and could not cash the money transfer even though I had the ten digit control number. An assistant manager also concurred and said she couldn't tell me what was misspelled, just that they couldn't honor the transfer. I phoned Western Union and spoke to a representative and a supervisor who informed me that indeed the transfer was valid and I should have received my money. They also informed me that the misspelling was the name of the city, "New Port Richey", the "e" was left out of "Richey" by my son when he sent the money. The supervisor called the store and explained that the transfer form was valid, someone in store management apologized to the WU supervisor. I went to another Publix on Little Road to cash the transfer. Bottom line, I realize the employees thought they were doing the right thing, even the manager who I called before calling WU, who used the word "fraud" more than once, and stuck by his belief that the transfer was invalid which made me feel humiliated. Intelligence is a prerequisite for all Publix employees, however common sense should also be of major importance.

July 23, 2010 Dear Sir or Madam, I have been going to Publix ever since I moved to Florida to take care of my elderly father. I work at a large company full time and shop for him every few days. It is frustrating to find that when I go into the Publix in Freedom Square, Naples they are out of items repeatedly that I shop for. It is very frustrating for me as my time is limited as is many other peoples. Now that it is off season things should be running efficiently as it is not as busy. I can't believe that you have the ability to track what you run low on or in my case... out of...at any time of year and therefore have the supplies necessary. After many frustrating times going to your store and having this experience I have now unfortunately given up. I just can't go in that store any more. Sincerely, Kathy I was in there tonight

I went to Publix today and had a rebate check for sugar, the cashier informed me that I had to take the rebate check to the store where is was written, My mother gave me the rebate check and I have no idea which store she went to. Why do I have to go to the same store, isn't all Publix the same. Why can't you keep the item stocked and then we wouldn't have a problem to begin with? I will be talking to the manager about this and see what he has to say, You have to take a 45 minute computer test to see if you can work there to begin with, why don't they practice what they make the employees do?

I have made 5 trips and 3 phone calls to my Public Pharmacy to get a test strip prescription filled and have yet to get the problem solved. They say it's rejected, though I have been getting it regularly for months, Medicare says they haven't filed a claim - or haven't filed properly - so they have no record of a requet for refill. Pharmacists "just don't have time" to deal with it!! Can you help? Please contact me: 941-792-6892 or thingsolde@aol.com. Publix is about to lose all my business!

I enjoy shopping at the publix store in Rockledge at the intersection of Barnes and Murrell. I think this company overall has been one of the few places that shine in the state of Florida since I have lived here for the past 8 years. They keep the store clean, the prices are decent as is the service and most all the employees are pretty friendly. I don't need much more from a grocery store than that and I appreciate this store being in our community. I wish the lowes store nearby treated their customers as well as pubix does, then I would really be a happy camper.

I am so disgusted with the manager of this store. His name is George Zaiter and he is the rudest person I have ever encountered. The problems started back in December. He obviously does not like my son who goes shopping with me because I have trouble getting items from the shelves and he assists me in my shopping. This "so called" manager has a personal problem with my son. The manager has approached me on several occasions complaining about my son. He told me in December that one of his customers complained that my son looked threatening. I asked him to produce this customer's name and possibly we could iron out the problem. He said he would contact the customer, but, of course, he never did. I shop in this store every week and spend a considerable amount of money. I feel that both my son and myself have been discriminated against because of this manager. Today I was shopping in the store and the manager and another gentleman who works there (don't know his name, but he is a very nice man), approached me and said that my son said something to them about "some property". It made no sense to me at all and I felt that here again was another opportunity for Mr. George Zaiter to try and say something derogatory about my son. This has been an ongoing problem. Today, I told him that I was fed up with this attitude. I am a 72 year old senior citizen and I do not need this stress in my life. He proceeded to yell at my son and ordered him to get out of HIS store and after I put my groceries in my car, I went back into the store and tried to talk to this manager. He told me that my son was not welcome in HIS STORE and that if my son came back into the store or if he was even in the parking lot, he would call the police and have him arrested. This so called manager stood there as I was talking to him and started "yelling at me" about my son. I told him that I didn't appreciate him yelling at me and I was reporting him to Corporate Headquarters. I am very upset about this incident and I now have developed chest pains because of the stress caused by this altercation. I would expect that the powers that be in your organization would take it upon themselves to tell George Zaiter that he owes me an apology. How dare a manager of a store yell at a customer who shops there all the time. I am seriously considering calling my attorney's office and pursuing this matter if no action is taken on the part of your organization. This store is located at Kernan Square Shopping Center, 12620 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida. I look forward to a response to this complaint.

ILLEGAL Joe Degenhard, the store manager at Publix Super Market at northwood crossings next to northwood lake has been taking beer off the shelf on sunday nights sneaks it to the back and takes it home then he pays for it on mondays. Some associates are aware of this because they call it "sunday night special for joe". Jennifer Hunt knows that Joe is doing this because her dad is also a store manager as well , Ken Hunt. Many associates still says he's been doing this. We have video cameras that play back, I think to 3-4 months. Also heard he might have tampered with them. Joe transfered to another Publix Super Market next to sheltonstate on 69 on the 25th of this month. Thanks, Tammie

I moved to Hephzibah ,Ga to be close to my family after my divorce...broke and starting completely over....giving up a great job and great money because there were no Winn Dixie's in this area. I was desperately seeking a job..anywhere..doing what I was qualified for, making the money I was use to making. I applied for a job with Publix in N.Augusta. While I was there,my resume was given to Mr. Phil, the DM. He interviewed me and was very pleased with what he had seen in me. He found me a job working at store #526. Although I have 18 years of deli/bakery management experience,I was hired as a cake decorator. Without any formal training on how Publix cakes are made, the icings,or the expectations of me in this job,I have been expected to maintain all orders, cases and back-up production. After 6 months and ALOT of frustrating times,I have already turned bitter towards my job. I do give 100% of myself while at work and have managed to teach myself the job and production. This store does an extremely high amount of cake business and they have no cut of time for orders on the weekends and a no turn down policy, which makes it very hard to keep up with all the orders and cases on the weekends. We only have two cake decorators and we just can't keep up with the business we do. We wind up working 10 to 12 hours on Saturday just to do all the cake orders we get in,heaven forbid we ask for a smoke break or a lunch either!!!!!!!!! I am VERY frustrated!!!!! The store manager has had an "attitude" conference with me two weeks ago and informed me that I am not worth the money he is paying me!!! Even told me that I either needed to get in the right frame of mind to be a Publix employee or maybe it would be best to move on. What a crappy thing to tell someone that is busting her ASS to keep up with a pace that even Wonderwoman herself couldn't do!!!!!!!!! Anyway, out of the blue I received a job offer with someone I worked with at Winn Dixie. Doing what I used to do,Making the money I used to make. The interview was for today, but the DM had to postpone until another time. Just wanted you to know that the man running the bakery in running it in the ground and the entire crew is frustrated with how he runs things and talks to us. I,on the other hand,am plainly irritated, frustrated,TIRED,and am at the point that I don't care anymore. I have never worked in a place that made me feel so inapt or treated so rudely. The way the store manager so "politely" told me off....well...that was my breaking point. I WANT OUT OF THIS STORE!!!!!!!!!! If I can't find another job,I do want a transfer SOON!!!!!!!! Thanks for letting me vent.

I have been a loyal shopper for over ten years at the store at the Windsor Commons in Jacksoville Fl. For several years my wife has continued to ask me why I continue to shop at this store where I had shop at Wal-Mart, which is less than a mile down the road from your store, and save on our food items. I tell her it the employees and the friendly folks that are there that make me shop there each day, until last night(6-07-10). It seems that our store has been going through a remodeling period which I know that all business need to go through, but does the remodeling have to inconvince our lives. Your store closing hours are already at 10pm, which is understandable due to the child labor laws, but closing at 8pm and not letting your customers know ahead of time is really again an inconvince. I stopped last night to pick up some few items only to be told that the store was closed (8:30pm) and been told by a customer was really upsetting. As I was driving off I say one of the assistant managers helping to open the doors for an employee, I stopped and open my window to remark that I was truly upset at the closing of the store so early and that now I was having to drive to Wal-Mart or even Food Lion down the road. The assistant manager (first name Josh)said sorry but that Publix was remodeling the store for us and that we should be glad for the remodeling. I in returned said since you already close at 10, why close at 8pm and make us go to another store. His remark again was "Sorry". I told him that sorry did not cut it and that I might just finally take my wife advise and shop at another store. And I was taken by surprise when his remarks was "Good Luck at shopping at the other stores". After all the years that I shopped at this store and the way the economy has turned I have continued to shop at your stores, where I could of save countless of dollars, this remark has made me so upset that I will not shop at your stores no more. In fact I will recount this story to all my friends and to anyone that will listen and maybe we may all change our shopping habits regardless to what every remodeling of your store accure. Now I know that my few dollars will not hurt your stores or this store, but if enough people see and know the type of management personal that Publix hires and the economy continues to change, folks may change there shopping habits and you stores may suffer. In closing, if you wish to have my patronage to Publix returned I have two suggestion, 1.to have the assistant manager openly apologize at your store in front of your store manager(Wes Oliver)to me; 2.or have this assistant relocaled to another Publix store and given customer serve trainning, for without the customers, businesses do not last. Sincerely Guadalupe Vallejo III 13015 Azalea River Place Jacksonville Fl. 32224 904-992-4594

I have shopped at Publix, on Peachland Blv. in Port Charlotte, Fl. since the store opened. It seems, just when all the winter people leave...so doesn't the service from Publix go down. I have been living in Port Charlotte almost 31 years and shopped at Wal-Mart and Publix and Winn Dixie. Publix, is the best, I shop for the cleanliness of the store, convince to my home and most of all...the service of someone to bay my articles and to put them into the cart out to my car. What is happening to your store? Once again, I had to do pack my articles and load the cart and walk it out on my own. I have complained many many times to management about the service. It hasn't changed from one week to another. People, pay the extra money to shop at Publix for this service.
