I just wanted to let y'all know how much I enjoy shopping at the Publix on Sam Rittenburg Blvd in Charleston, SC. Every single employee (cashiers, stockboys, management, etc) always greets me every time I pass them in the store. The fresh produce is what got me started shopping at Publix, but the customer service is what kept me coming back. Not to mention there is a guy in his 20's that works in either customer service or management that is smokin' hot!!! :)
Hi I'm writing to let you know that the newly opened Publix in Chelsea,Al. So far, there has been four (4) employees turn you in to The US Dept.Of Labor. My friend who works their has had a call back for the Al.branch office. You write the employees up,if they get any over time and and give them more work than you could do in the time allowed them you make them take the time off, instead of paying time and a half. But you make them take straight, time off. Not Time and a half. This store is also prejudice against older people, telling them"your to slow,so we'll put you on closing and the faster ,younger people on earlier jobs. Forced to take that time off during their lunch hour and then, tell them to come in an hour later...you write them up for that. Managers are not trained in middle management. I am birth right Quaker and going to get my group to protest in front of store. You have sent QC officer their and they seem to think the only problem is in the bakery...LOL... I am turning this over to the state Attorney General You do have big trouble coming on your Corp...
Dear Pulbix Corporate Headquarters: I wanted to write and let you know of the wonderful service that I always get from the Publix on Cobblestone Village at 125 Jenkins St, St Augustine, Florida 32086 I shop at this Publix probably twice a week and every time, your employees... ---from the stockers, deli, bakery, produce personell, cashiers, bag persons, & customer service representatives-- all have been so helpful and pleasant to me and my family. Today, I found out why this is so...I was shopping early this morning and was ready to check out my groceries. Because, it was very early and not very busy, there was not a cashier with open register yet. Then, a very, professional well dressed man came up to me and said, "I can help you here, Miss" and he opened the register and started checking me out. As I was watching him check out my groceries, I noted his name tag... Chuck Hooper--Store Manager. How very surprised I was to see a man of his position take charge and help a customer immediately, instead of calling someone else to assist me. I was completely impressed by his helpfulness, professionalism and kindness to do so. Now, I see why all the employees at this Publix are so wonderful. They have an excellent store manager who sets an incredible example for them. I hope you acknowledge Mr.Hooper and his staff for a superb job in making the shoppers of Cobblestone Village very happy and grateful for all they do for making our shopping a pleasure at Publix.
When the employees use the open door policy they get yelled at, put on finials and set up to be fired. Management runs there jobs through fear and intimidation, we all brake our backs for this company and this is how we are treated. We called corporate with some concerns and now nine of us are being set up to be fired. We have had enough, if management can say and do anything they want with no consequences than it's time to get the UFCW in here for a vote, so there will be some accountability.
I recently left Publix employment after almost 4 years. I had vacation time accrued and was not used. I was told after I left that my vacation time would not be paid out to me because there policy had changed. When I called Corporate office they informed me that they should have posted this by all the timeclocks. Since this was not done at the store that I was working at, I was unaware of this policy change. I feel that I left in good standing with this company and now, this is how I am being treated. It honestly is not a matter of the money, but the principal of the thing. I worked hard and deserved the vacation, everytime I asked to take the time off, I was told "No" because someone else was on vacation or they just couldn't do it. How fair is that? What is my next step to do in getting my vacation pay? It looks as though I will have to take this matter into my own hands.
On 10/18/2011 at 4:00 p.m. I dropped off 3 prescriptions at the Publix Pharmacy in Oak Valley (store #00273). Two of the prescriptions were anti-biotic that I needed to start the following day. The pharmacy tech asked me if I would like to wait for them to be filled and since I am a busy working mom I told him I would just pick it up the following day. This Publix is very close to my home and I do a majority of my grocery shopping in this store. On 10/19/2010 at about 11 a.m. I received a call from the pharmacy stating my prescription was ready for pick up. I returned to the pharmacy on 10/19/2011 at 5:00 p.m. to pick up my prescriptions. The same pharmacy tech waited on me and indicated my prescription was in-fact not ready because he was confused due to a two check marks being written on the prescription. He then asked me if I really needed one of then (the non-antibiotic one) or would I like to keep it on file. I told him I needed the antibiotics A.S.A.P. to prevent infection. He came back a minute later and said that they did not have one of the antibiotics and that I could drive to the next store that is almost 10 miles away. I then said if I knew I was going to encounter these kind of issues that I would have just gone to CVS right across the street. I requested that he give me my prescription back so I could go and have it filled at CVS pharmacy. He responded and said "are you really gonna go to CVS?" and I said yes I am. He then walked over to his co-worker, blatantly made fun of me, and called me a rude name and quickly handed me my prescription. I had a few groceries I needed to pay for at the counter and he did not offer to ring them up. At this point I grabbed my groceries went to the customer service desk and requested to speak to the Manager. The customer service desk and the manager were very nice and extremely helpful. I informed the Manager of my problem with the pharmacy and indicated that I would now be using CVS and that my husband also refuses to use this pharmacy due to problems he has had with them in the past. She was very nice and apologetic and informed me she would take care of the problem immediately and make sure it did not happen again. I went to CVS and it took them less than 5 minutes to fill it with me as a walk in. I don't want this to happen to someone else who has a more severe medical condition.
Jacksonville fl there is a publix in Riverside that the Deli and bakery are so amazing, the staff there know me by name and treat me amazing, there is a real community feel there, as it is a smaller store, which works out in its favor. If your wanting to shop somewhere where the service is top notch and the staff is pleased to serve you because they love their job hit up Riverside store number 0849... XD
I have suspected for some time now that Publix Super Markets were price gouging, much like the oil companies. Today I recieved absolute proof of my suspicions. I went in to purchace my Miller HighLife Lite beer in the 18 can pack like I have done for the past 6 years at my local Publix. I might add that I had to encourage the previous manager to carry this beer and now it is a very big mover. My eyes could not believe the price had gone up from $11.49 to $12.99, a $1.50 increase. I went to the store manager and ask why the price had gone up so much? Was it the beer company or was it Publix pricing policy? He stated that every year in October the beer companies review thier pricing, another wards, they raise thier prices. He went into his computer and checked to see what his cost had gone up to. He told me it was a vendor driven price increase. Well not two doors down is an independant liquor store. I walked down and asked the owner if he had just gotten a major increase from his beer vendors. He said a small increase would effect his pricing. He happen to have the new price list fom Miller and showed it to me. Remember this is an independant liquor store, his increase on the Miller High Life 18 can case was going up .25 cents. I go back to Publix and confront the manager with this new information. He can only tell me that corporate sets the pricing BUT, it will be on sale next week.......WOW. This is a huge price gouging by Publix Super Markets. Other products have gone up an unusual amount and I feel, just as in this case, the dramatic increases are NOT vendor driven. Publix is a privately held company who doesn't have to answer to anyone, except those of us will vote with our feet and simply not return to add to a bloated bottom line at the expense of consumers.
after shopping at the store in saint cloud fla. for 6years i fell on or about 9/10/2011 due to something on the floor i sustained a fracture and displacement of vertebras i was told by store personal that if i needed any help to call i did and the response was we are not responsible for your injury butt will offer x amonunt i daclined but this mornning my wyfe of 46years need to go to the hospital and i needed $400.00 than was offered i tried to explain to Laura Aldridge claims adjuster that if i would recieve this added $400 i would sign a release and that the added cost so small would be less than what it would cost to deffend the case and would show me publix really cared for their costumers but was told take it or leave it i'm desperate to get my wife treatment and they are using this to force me to sign and i have no choise but to take this unfair settlement to get my wife treatment i will sign under duress but i have no choise no one in lakeland wants to listen this is publix costumer relations ROGER NOA SAINT CLOUD FLA. I HOPE THE PUBLIC RELATIONS NIGHTMARE I WILL CAUSE THEM BY TELLING THIS STORY TO ALL THAT WILL LISTEN WAS WORTH THE MEASLY SUM THEY SAVED BY FORCING THIS ON ME
I have had continous problems with management customer service at the store on 950 W. peachtree st. Midtown Plaza in Atlanta, Georgia. The store manager is Keith Tait, poor customer service, giving incorrect information, when I asked him about a product he gave me 3 different answers, and then later he said I never asked him about it , liar, liar!!!!
I wish to praise the bakery department at Publix store 1106 in Summerport! Last week we ordered a birthday cake for our adult son, to be served after dinner at an area restaurant. When my husband went to pick it up, it was not there. Apparently a newer employee had filed it under the wrong day. They immediately created another cake and then delivered it as we were having dinner along with a singing birthday balloon. All at no charge to us. I recently spoke to one of the store managers expressing our praise. This is service above and beyond! Thanks, Publix, for making our hometown store in Windermere part of our home once again!
I wish someone would recognize what a gift Mr. Chris Conrad is to the Publix system. He was transferred from Buckwalter Publix to a Publix in the north end of Hilton Head. Why he was moved is a mystery and a great disappointment to my husband and I. This young man has served Publix so well. He has in his mind to do always the best for people shopping in the store. He works hard for the system and Miss Monica the Manager. This is the type of worker who needs to become a manager of a Publix store not kept as an Assistant Manager so long. Thank you for your interest in this note. :)
Publix has been a company that has taken care of its employees making it the biggest private employee own company in the Nation, but now with this new oasis scheduling system is making employees work very long hours with no brake and as a result this could result on employees having circulation problems this could cause a lot of health risk plus there are no set schedules and you never know what your schedule is going to look like next week Publix in a way is trying to push out older women employees that have been there for 10, 15, 30 years, if that employee leaves they could hire somebody getting pay less but if they don't they cover the whole day with full time employees so they don't have to hire a lot of partimers. Solution for publix problem is to hire a second shift and keep the employees with seniority with the better shift, now with all the social networks you are going to hear more of employees not being satisfy with publix since publix is the biggest employee own company they could vote out the people responsible for this oasis, this oasis publix scheduling system is also manipulated byt store managers at store 550 some employees keep a good schedule with set days off this is also not fair for other employees.
WHO EVEN NEEDS PUBLIX ANYMORE???? Publix has gone way, way downhill...totally living on past impressions and reputation. I was shopping for a few last minute sale items in my Winter Park Publix Store, located at 2295 Aloma Ave, Winter Park, FL 32792-3303, 407-671-3403 [Mr. Bill Gefffert Manager], and was treat so poorly while trying to use a manufacturer's coupon along with a Publix Advantage Savings coupon on an item, that I simply refuse to shop at the store anymore. The cashier made me feel like I was trying to steal something from the store, when I had just made this same purchase at another Publix with no problemS at all. I would have even taken the item using just one of the coupons if the cashier had been at least professional. She was so rude and to top that off the store manage proceeded to embarrass me as well. I guess because I just came from the local dog park, I did not look like I should be allowed to use the coupons...funny thing, when I shop the same store without my glasses and in my business attire I am treated very differently. I absolutely hate these people...this store is beyond a misery to shop. Employees are so rude and unprofessional. I had an issue with the pharmacy months ago and asked for the store manager's name...and the customer service people refused to give it to me...told me to call a customer service number that they gave to me. Well, ya know something interesting...I proceeded to shop at WalMart after my rude encounter at this Publix...and WalMart took the Publix's store coupons, gave me the sale price, actually lower than Publix's original sale price and also took the manufacturer's coupon. I saved a lot of money... I don't enjoy shopping at WalMart as much as I used to at Publix...but Publix has changed. Not for the better. I can get cheaper prices, using Publix coupons and even get the B1G1 at my local Casselberry WalMart. WHO NEEDS PUBLIX ANYMORE?
Do your district managers take a class on how to be an asshole? They need to know that the store managers and department managers on actually on their team and not the enemy!! Chris Megow, for one, is belittling, unfriendly, arrogant and rude!!! He gets off on intimidating people and is nothing but a BULLY!!!! Perhaps if the DM's were taught to value their employees and give them praise every now and then, that maybe they would get better results and respect! They are human beings, not machines!! Just remember, Chris...Karma is a bitch!
Whats going on with your chicken? I dont ever buy chicken in bulk, i buy it to cook same day. i have opened packs of chicken twice and the strong rotted smell is unbearable! Please dont even think to tell me that i didnt refrigerate it or that my freezer isnt freezing well. i would be insulted. my husband never agrees with me on things but this is one we surely did agree on. by the way, the quality of your meat sucks! very fatty and unhealthy. i only buy it when i know it will be grilled/bbq to burn off some of the fat. Id rather eat steroids than all that visible fat. other than that, the rest of your services and products esp your produce is superb and exceeding expectations every time. thank you.
Publix Corporate Headquarter Dear Sir/Madam, Today at approximately 1:00 pm, I went to your Publix store no. 0418, Camelot Isles Shopping center, 1616 Cape Coral Parkway W. #5, Cape Coral, FL, 33914, 239-945-6222. I waited for the women’s/Family rest room which was occupied by a man. When he finally came out, by himself (no family was present with him). I went in and closed the door. A large mirror that was not secured on the back of the door fell completely off the door, hitting me in the head. I was shocked, hurt and my reflexes were to grab it before it sliced me open! I then opened the bathroom door, saw the customers and employees staring at me and I said, “This mirror just fell off the door and hit me in the head! It wasn’t secured properly this is extremely dangerous!” I leaned the 2’x 4’ mirror against the lotto machine. No one said anything, no one took the mirror and no one helped. Basically, no one did a thing to assist me! I closed the bathroom door to use it. I then came out and the mirror was still precariously leaning on the lotto machine. I demanded to speak with a manager. Mr. Wilbur Mitchell finally came over to me and made a bagger put the mirror in his office. I was shaken up, in pain and wanted to get an x-ray of my head. I know a bump on the head can be fatal. Mr. Mitchell said I could but they weren’t responsible. I do not have insurance and unfortunately can not afford an x-ray. Wilbur said all he could do was write my name down. I said that I wanted a report and he said, “We don’t do that. All I can do is take your name and key it in to corporate.” I then called 911 for assistance. At that time the man that was in the bathroom before me is now telling Publix employees that the mirror didn’t hit me! He was on the other side of the bathroom door. He saw nothing! When I opened the bathroom door after it happened, everyone was starring at me because the crash was so loud! The medics came and checked my blood pressure and asked me who the president was. So I guess I’m ok, I wasn’t bleeding, my blood pressure was fine and I knew who our president was! Not one employee came to my aid! John Lohan the grocery manager was just standing there ignoring me. Wilbur Mitchell wouldn’t even get me ice. I am appalled at the lack of concern, empathy, sympathy, assistance, courtesy and help! You should be ashamed of yourselves to hire such callous, incompetent employees. I found them to be condescending and rude! I will never shop there again! You’re lucky I didn’t have my child when I went in there and that I was strong enough to catch it before it sliced me to pieces! I have video and pictures of the broken hooks that were trying to hold this mirror on the door. I am in pain and disgusted with the lack of service I received! I will be mailing a hard copy of this letter to Corporate, Store # 0418, the newspaper and a lawyer. When I receive my police report I will send you a copy. The case # is: 11-014832. Sincerely, Professor Dina Kelm dkelm@edison.edu
I shop at Satellite Beach Publix but have been a loyal customer for over 25 years. I love Publix! With the many buy one get one free offers I now save more $ than if I had to endure WM. Go Publix!
Since I retired 2 years ago- I have shopped with the wife at Publix in 5 different locations in Coral Springs, Florida. Have experienced nothing but good things from Publix. The employees, items offered,The store are bright and clean. Prices could be a few cents cheaper... but my thinking is if it is too costly - go to Walmart down the street to save a few bucks. Read with interest numerous publix customers complaining. Why do they shop at Publix ? Go to another supermarket. YOU DO HAVE A CHOICE. I am very displeased with the Miami Dolphns - after 20 years with season tickets.... I simply STOPPED going ... GO Eagles !
Cumming, Ga Castleberry Road - Wonderful store. Everyone very helpful - goes beyond expectations of the norm. Everyone is from manager to baggers. I have found most of Publix with same helpfulness and care of customer and their shopping needs.
