This Publix Managers are a joke no training in customer service at all......They get paid big bucks for nothing.....This Publix is in Miramar fl. 140 and Miramar Parkway First of all the Manager Tom Klem is a racist as* hole for sure....Alicia Serrao is customer service manager that needs to go back for more training quickly...I brought an item which was a dip cost 3.99 got to car and drove off then look at receipt and it said 5.99 went back to store and the witch said that many items don't have tags...and my response to her was they should because how would a customer know what they would be buying....????? The publix promise is that if you buy something and it rings up different then what you seen....you get the item and your money back.....I file an complaint with corporate......now I will file one with BBB and federal agency because if we are spending our hard earn money when we should be what we are promise....period....This get Publix get an 0 star
I dont get how big business look down and treat individuals so bad . I made a formal complaint to Publix and to The Office of Civil Rights about the violation they continue to do at there drug store . I asked to be contacted by mail and instead I got one phone call on a Holiday weekend . The phone call I received only addressed half the problem (Left on a message machine and I never got a return call ) . My second problem is also with the pharmacy , I was humiliated and refused service with three forms of ID . One, a drivers licence , two, a state issued government Insurance Licence ( with photo government stamp ) and third a insurance card . I asked the pharmacy why she refused to fill my medication and she yelled something out loud in front of everyone and said she was not going to fill a type 2 prescription and refused to speak with me . So I asked the assistant to call and verify with my doctor , insurance company and they said no . To lazy to verify and yet made me fill I was doing something wrong and I was not . On top of that I have had the same perception filled there for about two years when in stock . Company's who dont value customers fail and company's that dont follow HIPPA laws get fined .Its Unbelievable how this company has treated me. PUBLIX does not have the courtesy to make a customer happy but they do love to humiliate .... I AM DONE WITH THEM !!! Renee Maneen Cantonment Fl CC
That's a skillful answer to a diffiuclt question
they DO NOT want you to write your own. they want one that they can recognize cuz that way the know how it is speuospd to sound as compared to how you performed it.and generally they like you to do one from a play or book not a tv show.i'd be sure it is from a play that has a chacactor in your general age group cuz they are most likely looking for you to be a child/teen actress.and remeber when you go in there don't look at any one of the people in particular you are suppoesd to pick a spot on the wall behind them and make that your focus. and simply walk in state your name, say that you are there to audition. state i will be reading the part of (what ever character) from (what ever book or play) by (who ever wrote it) and then just start the monologue.personally i'd pick your favorite book or play you've read or seen and find a monologue from that. it will be much easier than finding something you've never read and trying to act as that person would when you don't even know the characters background or mannerisisms. i'd stay away from anything tv or movie related and go for books or plays (of course if the book or play was made into a movie then thats fine)i'd recommend somethng like this:Dorothy: But it wasn't a dream. It was a place. And you and you and you and you were there. But you couldn't have been could you? No, Aunt Em, this was a real truly live place and I remember some of it wasn't very nice, but most of it was beautiful but just the same all I kept saying to everybody was I want to go home, and they sent me home! Doesn't anybody believe me? But anyway, Toto, we're home! Home. And this is my room, and you're all here and I'm not going to leave here ever, ever again. Because I love you all. And Oh Auntie Em! There's no place like home!good luck.
I Am Very Unhappy With The Local Publix Stores Here In Jacksonville Florida. (3) times i have went to interviews for a job, and not got the job, i am qualified and eager to work, but i was told on my last interview: and i quote: how in love are you with your moustache? what kind of place bases a hiring on the fact you have a moustache? besides the publix store i am speaking of has an employee with tattoos all over his body, what gives? my work record is a consistant one, and i deserve to be working, but companies like publix are not being fair.
Why is PUBLIX a member of ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council), the bill mill behind the Stand Your Ground and Voter ID laws spreading across the nation? Why is PUBLIX and its lobbyist Michael Mitchell weighing in on ALEC'S push to revoke my access to health insurance thru the Affordable Care Act? Why does corporate "person" PUBLIX thru its hired gun lobbyist, Michael Mitchell, have more say about what gets passed in the Florida legislature than actual human voters? Urge PUBLIX to drop its lobbying efforts that hurt its loyal customers! PURGE PUBLIX FROM THE VOTING ROLES! NO MORE CORPORATE PERSON BILL MILLS!
work in the area of Dade, I have been waiting for the full time for long, but just lay on almost ... I think just keep playing with the employee need only trying to keep a motivational message, and I almost know #@@%$&
Bought a case of Publix Spring water in FL and one bottle i opened tasted and smelled HORRIBLE...i brought it back to the store and they said it would be sent off to be tested. So far all the other bottles in the case tasted and smelled fine. I got a call today from the bottling company saying they can not test it because it was open. How else would you know it wasn't right unless you opened and tasted it? They said they would send me a shipping label to send the other bottles and if one of those unopened bottles were not good then they would test the opened one which there is obviously something wrong with it. It doesn't make sense to me that they have a bottle with something wrong but won't test it! CRAZY!
Kudos to the staff at the Silver Springs Florida Publix for good customer relations. They are the most personable people I've found in any Publix store. This particular store gets my business because the mood in the store is so good. And it's not a phony friendliness---they are just genuinely pleasant people.
My family was very much pleased to know a Publix was in the area we bought our first home. For the first few years we have waivered back and forth between Kroger and Publix. I finally bought into the idea that the Quality and Customer Service was such that I would pay a little more for the outstanding Quality and pride Publix takes. ....Until last Sunday. I have never in my life seen such incompetence at the management level. This "Asst. Manager" could NOT make complete, coherent sentences. Did you hear what I just said? This man was unable to properly communicate with me to the point of awkwardness. His approach to me was unfriendly. He acted as if he had never worked a day in his life. I had to walk him through the process to find a solution to the problem. How embarrassing is it when a customer has to suggest to a, well paid I’m sure, manager to look in his MRP system for the product. This man would have allowed me to walk unsatisfied and without the good or product I came for. As he reluctantly stumbled through his inventory program, getting help on how to use it from a bagger, he looks to me and says, “the search is not authorized” I finally said don’t worry about, feeling sorry for this over paid warm body that manages the best grocery store in my community. Wow! To Kroger I go. This is at Winchester Rd in New Market/Huntsville area. July 16th 2012.
I'd purchased 3 whole uncooked chicken (Perdue brand) from Publix a few weeks ago. On the first time cooking one of the chicken, after cutting the plastic wrapped, I noticed the chicken was mushy and was able to ripped apart without a knife. IT also didn't smell very fresh. Thinking I might have gotten unlucky and bought one spoiled and old chicken, so it was tossed out. A few days later after unwrapping the other two it was the same like the first, smells funny and mushy. Is this a problem with Perdue chicken? or is Publix selling old meat? I was planning to return the two to Publix. But I never kept the receipt. I just know I'll never shop from Publix again.
I have been shopping at the Publix On SW 40th Street and SW 117 Ave for 30 years. In Miami Fla. I am so tired of employees who don;t speak english. I have complained numerous times to the store managers.....but still they hire people that don;t speak english. That is BULLSHIT......we live in AMERICA. I will not shop at Publix anymore. Please hire only English speakers.
I've noticed that the management team practices of the Florida stores are discriminatory towards minority employees. The complaint that will be sent to the EEOC will describe specific information outlining the discrimination issues raised in the charges. There are times when there are issues that need to be resolved. No one truly likes complaining but occasionally this is the only way you can properly settle a grievance. when a corporation has hardworking dedicated employees who actually make it a pleasure for customers to shop in their establishment it would appear that those placed in management would be disciplined for discriminatory behavior rather than promoted. However this is not what has been observed. I am requesting the management team at the Punta Gorda, FL store be reviewed and that something be done about the reprehensible behavior such as management openly referring to employees as "Niggers", being condoned; and where the same dedicated employees are fired and reprisal is feared for those who witnessed the behavior of management. Maybe it is time for the NAACP and the media to become involved if corporate has no interest in resolving this issue!!!
I went shopping tonight at the Publix in Pooler and their customer service rep Shauna was HORRIBLE she was yelling about one of her co-workers in the middle of the store in front of customers. God knows what she says about the customers. I will not shop there anymore as long as she is working there. Never met a worse employee at Publix before. She should work at walmart instead. She would fit in perfectly!
Just wanted report an incident that my husband witnessed today at Publix on Ives Dairy Road and NW 2nd Ave (RT441). A lady in the check-out line next to his caught the cashier with a portable credit card swiper up his sleeve. She saw him swipe the card of the previous customer, and then he swiped hers. He thought he had been fast enough to go undetected, but she saw him, grabbed the swiper and called for the manager. Lee says that she actually had to demand that the police be called, (the manager said that he would handle the matter). He also says that the cashier had told the customers that the card machine on his line wasn't working. Soooooooo, if you are shopping (anywhere) and need to give your card to the cashier, check to be sure that person doesn't have a little something extra up his long sleeves, and watch him like a hawk! Check your bank accounts daily.
I would like to thank the staff at westchase publix for outstanding service. Tina in the florist dept.was able to give me flowers correct for my greiving wife. A Kevin who samples foods was able to instuct me how to cook a dish. Brittney a cashier was able to help me understand about the buy one get one policy....thank you again
I shop at the store at 3343 South Orange Blossom Trail, Kissimmee, FL. I have called corporate numerous times, including the store manager. There is an extremely rude employee there.. her name tag says BECKY. She has blond hair and when I asked one of the kids that worked there what her last name was ( I wanted to make sure I was talking about the right girl) I was told her last name is Waldron. She is the town joke. Why she is the first thing you see when you walk into that beautiful store is beyond me. She swears, is rude, will snap her fingers at you... you can hear her 'F this and F that to these teenagers that work there.. Why is she still there? How many people have to complain? Never have I met such a rude person... as soon as you walk in that's the consensus.. Seriously guys... your store rocks but people are talking about the kind of people you are hiring... She is a waste of your space and money. Please fix it. Thank you.
Publix looks the other way when Welfare (EBT card holders) buy a $600 and up a Wedding cake to feed 100 or more people. It's meant for a needy family for necessary food only. Also against the law is to use the EBT card for non food items, and the wedding cake has a lot of plastic toys, and other non food item on the cake and they put that in the price of the cake. This is been going on forever and still going on at this time, especially in Charleston, SC. It's been encouraged from Publix corp. all the way to store manager. (Store managers get bonuses for their stores sales, etc.) If you do the math, we did, that's millions of dollars being abused from the taxpayers and profit for Publix. Also what it really means of their slogan "Where shopping is a pleasure", is that everybody in the corporate offices, their computer is always on the stock ticker page and that's where the pleasure comes in play. While their employees are treated like slaves, dictatorship, micromanaged and their store managers are clueless, uneducated and no experience in dealing with employees nor customer service and most have personality issues, and the track record shows that's the type they promote to Store managers besides nepotism and cronyism.
I have worked for 4 years,,The manergers are rude to employers,no respect, and they will treat employers like shit expecially Publix in Miami Hallandale Beach,OH MY GOD theres a Bakery supervisor and assistance supervisor still presently working there she is a nasty azz woman be on the phone talkin bout what guy she picked up and screw and what they did, there was a lady work in the bakery who wrked in another bakery for another company, she was treated like a dog(coloured not from America)i witness carlos curse her shout at her tell her why she do not quit and when she reported him to the store manager (he wanted her to be fired)instead of him being punished for cursing at her he lied on her and had the Deli supervisor come in the meeting and lied on her also ,the lady was crying he told her to go home or he will override her clock in ,well at the meeting she was supsended for 2 days no pay because she answer him back, she has been picked onn by him at every chance ,hes hispanic shes black, there are some very nice hispanic ppl but he is nasty, than the assistance supervisor started to pick on her timming her when she go for the mop bucker, telling her she stealing publix money and shes a slacker if she making a cake and mess up they take pictures and tell her she getting paid for nothing but other decorators who been there 15-25 years are allowed to make mistakes and nothing is said to them,if the lady checkin the book to make sure shes fixing something correct the assistance supervisor will fuss her saying you been working her long enought to know how to fix stuff you slackin on the job staling time, this lady cannot do anything without being a victim of these 2 slime balls I felt so sorry for her but we were told to mind our own business sometimes this lady cry because of the disrespect she recieves from these ppl, other ppl go for mop and bucket no one gets timed ppl talk on the phone its okay if she do it shes told to get out other ppl call in sick she called in once and they gave her AWOL every week she got a pink slip.and than she tried to get a transfer to another store where she was told to transmit a transfer and they will take her ,they put so much crap in her transfer that the other store told her they cannot take her anymore, plus he transfer another hispanic into the bakery and took all the lady hours from 30 giving her 2 days a week 14 hours and the other lady who has no experience 28-30 hours weekly even tho the first lady was hire as a decorator, well after trying all she could and never understang why they hated her so much she quit,it so sad that people are treated like thgat for no reason and she never knew that he never wanted to hire her from the start, but because she answer him back he forced her to quit knowing she could not pay her rent without her hours she will have to move again, but Karma will come to both of them.
I have a Companion Assistant Dog. He is a seizure alert dog and I need him with me all the time. Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis limit me in doing all I would like to do. Publix Store at Bayside Plaza in Clearwater has been wonderful to me in providing me an easy way to food shop with my dog. An employee, Susan, has been there for us with the correct answers in how a person with a CAD should be treated. Will be writing a letter to the corporate office in Lakeland to make sure Susan gets recognition for her services to me and as well as others. 99% of customers are wonderful to the dog and I as they talk to us and I tell them why I have him and how comfortable I feel with him at my side. There is that 1% who get nasty, however, I do not let them bother me, they are in the minority.
