After much run around phone calling I still have not been able to reach anyone who can answer my question. "Can I take advantage of the 12 month no interest charge if half is at Pottery Barn half is at Pottery Barn Kids and all charged on the same card?" If no, Why??? I can't purchase this large amount without a dispensation of the 12 months. No one cares about helping me make this purchase. Amazing apathy!
Ordered a bedroom set, got the armoire delivered damaged, they send incompetent people to repair it, they can't,. They decide to remove the armoire and repair it and bring it back even more damaged then originally. Then when I refuse it, they order a replacement and never told me that the item is on back order and I will not receive it for TWO MONTHS. I will NEVER buy another thing from Pottery Barn.
I absolutely agree with the poor ratings. I have contacted the company 4 times via email and 3 times via phone complaining about the Emma dishes that I paid hundreds of dollars for, which were all chipped and unusable for company within 6 months. I received no answer other than, "Sorry, Have a great day!". More recently, I bought a rug for $600 and used $300 worth of credit, but PB charged my credit card for the full amount. I spoke to an agent who assured me that she'd look into it and get back to me on Monday morning at 8am est. It's now Wednesday and I haven't heard back from her or anyone and no charge has been reversed. I will no longer shop PB, WS or any other company and I'll do my BEST to spread the word about their poor customer loyalty. Better service at Home Goods!
Can I give the in-store service a -0- star...I have never experienced such rudeness..the associate that I spoke to was curt, nasty. Here's my story...I had returned 8 Great White 12" dinner plates...a few weeks after that, I went to the same PB store and the same assoc. remembered the return. I asked her if she had the same GW dinner plate in 11.5"...she proceeded to bring out the 12" and said "is this what you want"??...she knew it was the 12"...I replied "not if it's the 12"...I had to repeat "I need a 11.5" dinner plate if you have it"...I than asked, "do you have the same style and color in anything else that would match the set"...this is when I knew the associate was trying to be difficult on purpose...She shows me a cream colored rustic plate, that looked nothing like what I asked for...I said, "do you really think this goes the the Great White set"...the assoc. said "no, but you asked for anything else"...in addition to this horrible service, or lack there of, I asked for the Great White rimmed Pasta/Soup bowl...the assoc shows me the cereal bowl...either she doesn't know her own merchandise or this was another attempt to pull my chain....I'm reporting her to corporate this morning...I don't need this type of treatment...I do love the PB, but I'd rather buy online and pay the SH than deal with this assoc again.
I am very disappointed with the customer service department that handles Pottery Barn credit cards. It appears this department is not clear on its own policy. I was told there was no minimum due , as shown on online statement, when there actually was. I called a representative to clear up the confusion who verified there was in fact no minimum due. A week later, my credit line has been decreased and I am showing a past due amount. Please beware you cannot take the representatives for their word. I was spoken to when I called back like a child. I was told I was responsible for the minimum due, which was zero but now they wanted to collect $159.00. They said even though I had returned merchandise and was showing zero due online, I was responsible for this amount? Ridiculous.... The customer service is lacking substantially in the service department.
These folks pretty much have said it all. Snottery Barn is a well earned and deserved sobriquet would also give them a 0 if I could! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Run as fast as you can AWAY from this company! Everyone, even in corp. level are all so hateful, non helpful and rude. So sick of the snooty attitudes and lack of respect. This co. does not no the meaning of CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!Come on guys directed to the PB,s in GA. Get your s*** together. Some advice for the people who promote or hire the managers of the stores, you should really hire people who care about the job and actualy no how to do the job would be helpful to the staff as well as the customers. some one with a nice personality and is not a complete narcicistic a**. Very DISGUSTED with this co., I WILL NEVER SHOP OR ENTER A POTTERY BARN AGAIN IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ordered my teen furniture on Oct 1st, 2011 and it is now April 9th, 2012 and I am still waiting for the bed, headboard, and have a box of furniture that needs to be assembled(that they said would get assembled with the shippment of the bed). They informed me after my numerous phone calls that my product did not pass final inspection in Jan and has been held. You would think that I would be informed asap of the matter. Now I called numerous managers with no one answering my voice mails and at the end still left hanging. I hope that they prove me wrong but at this point, 7months later, I would be very nervous to order from them again. If you need furniture by a certain date do not trust that you will see it remotely close to that date. I will write again if this gets resolved in a positive manner, however this is still taking a lot of my time, energy, and causing me a lot of stress. No one seems to want to to make this right. Pottery Barn has horrible customer service. I live overseas and have an APO address. On their web site they state they do offer international shipping to APO/FPO addresses and give directions on how to do so. After following directions, it would not allow me to input my address, so I called the customer service help line. The woman was rude and said "you just type your address in," I explained how it wouldn't let me and she hung up on me. I called back again and explained how I got hung up on and the woman responded "yea," so I explained my problem and she said you just type in your address, I explained it would not let me so she put me on hold for 20 minutes until I finally hung up. She never got back on phone saying she's still trying to figure it out or anything. I am convinced she just put me on hold until I would eventually hang up. I tried to contact the corporate office and was not able to. This company needs to be put out of business by the looks of all the comments above. If you don't care to train your employees and your whole business has a lack of respect for their jobs and the people they are supposed to help, you should be put out of business. Horrible company!!!!!! Funny how the lowest score is 1 star instead of zero! I am so disgusted with Pottery Barn!!! I made a purchase for a large piece of furniture that was on back order. When I called to check on when I could set up my delivery, a representative said the item had already been delivered, wtf?! Delivered where?! My exhusband called their customer service and had the order rerouted to his home, wtf?! How can this be? How can someone just call Pottery Barn and change my information without Pottery Barn calling me to see if this request was even valid? Well, I still don't have my item and was told that they couldn't do anything because the item was already delivered. Not good business practice if you ask me. The way identity theft has been allowed to succeed in our society, I cannot believe this. He said he was my husband and they just changed the shipping address. So I asked the representative, what married couple did she know live at separate addresses? Her answer, (she didn't have an answer). So I will not go down without a fight. This man has committed an act of fraud and Pottery Barn is partly responsible. The corporate office will now be involved and I will NEVER buy from this company ever again! I ordered two exact same pillows on line and when they arrived they were different dye lots. One looked like it was in the sun for the month of July and the other vibrant and yet they are the same pattern. When calling customer service, they informed me they were discontinued and that their stock had none. Low and behold the same store that she called for me in Arlington, Virginia have them and I will bring them there and match them up. Not at all the standards of Pottery Barn. They have gotten very cheaply made and it was so obvious that these pillows were not the same. I ordered $6500 in PB furniture and paid with my PB credit card. I then paid the PB card the same amount, the same day, as I don't like to carry balances. I kept wondering why they weren't calling me to arrange the delivery. Finally, I called customer service and found out they've been holding the order because they said that PB card wouldn't approve the purchase. PB card said that I had a $6500 credit. Both pointed the finger at each other. I was so upset, I cancelled both the order and the card. PB card won't give me my money back for 5-10 working days. Now, it's nearly Thanksgiving, and I have no furniture and my account is still out the $6500. Thank you Pottery Barn. Worst in store customer service ever. Shopped the King of Prussia P.B. looking for a bridal gift. My niece created a bridal registry. P.B. is NOT equipped to fulfill bridal orders. They did not have a box for a three tier cake plate- so the associate (who assured me that they did have a box) shoved it sideways into a box that was too small and gave me paper and an odd gift tag to wrap myself. What a disaster. Don't do bridal registry if you can't offer the service and ability to wrap a gift. Shame shame Pottery Barn. Taking my business elsewhere. There are too many other fine stores to shop for a gift!!

Pottery Barn Kids has become a totally unacceptable company to deal with. The quality of the anywhere chairs has deteriorated! I ordered a "My First Chair" for my grandson for Christmas. When it arrived I went to stuff the cushion into the chair and discovered that the zippers were not closed on the cushions. I went to zip them and the zipper pulls of both cusions came off in my hands! Unacceptable merchandise! With the holiday a few days away I decided to put the cover on anyway and get the problem resolved while we used the chair. I put the cover on and sat the chair up. THE NAME OF THE CHILD RAN ACROSS THE CHAIR IN A DOWNWARD SLANT! THE NAME HAD 6 LETTERS SO THE SLANT WAS REALLY NOTICABLE. It took a total of 3 weeks for the new item to arrive. Meanwhile the chair went home to Virginia with my grandson and I live in Illinois. Now I have to pay to ship the new chair to him! My granddaughter asked for a purple polka dotted chair for her birthday so I ordered it yesterday. Today, I still 15 hours later, have not received confirmation of the order. According to customer service there is no order. Last night I called about an hour after I ordered and was given the supposed order number. No one seems to know whether the order exists or not. I called the corporate office and got transferred to a voice mail box. I called back and the same woman hung up on me! NO MORE WILL I BUY FROM POTTERY BARN OR ANY COMPANIES AFFILIATED WITH THEM!

Over the years I have ordered several items from Pottery Barn - and it had always been a positive experience Obviously, in 2011 - some changes took place with this company - I WILL NO LONGER SHOP POTTERY BARN! Despite cute products - I am finished with this company! Mid December 2011 I placed an order to have a $200 gift card delievered to our friends home in Texas as a gift. They mailed it to my home, no once, but twice! When I called Potter Bard to complain - the supervisor stated I could have just put it in the mail to end it to the correct location! Really! If I wanted to do that I would have driven to the store bought one and mailed it! I ordered from customer service for a tracking reason to ensure they received it sending a sizeable amount of money in the mail. He stated he understood it and would resubmit another one. He informed me he would follow up with me in a week to and ensure the progress went smooth. Well, it's been two weeks, no follow up call - I gave him my cell number and my home number. My friends still have not received their Christmas present, and it is now halfway into January! Today to follow up I have been placed on hold several times and they disconnect me. I tried calling corporate, and the phone number automatically disconnects you! I have NEVER placed a formal complaint on-line with about any company before, but I am finished with this horrible customer service! I wish i would have researched and viewed these other online comments before making my order! I have spent HOURS on the phone with pottery barn, still no gift delievered to my friends address in Texas, however, they put the full charge on my visa! Imagine that!
In the last year I have replaced several Pottery Barn products that I have had for almost 8 years with their exact new products. I am so disappointed with the quality difference. I noticed that the drapes are now made in China - they were previously made in India. I can see the corners that have been cut to save money. They weigh less, there is less stitching. We also replaced a floor rug and the quality difference her is striking. It is not wearing well at all. I guess in an effort to save money, they have moved their manufacturing to China. The quality is poor. With Walmart and Target copying their styles at an already low quality and price, what's to keep me buying at PB? Nothing. It's disappointing.
I have been a PB customer for years and have been very pleased with the exceptional customer service and items I have purchased. However, this year has been very disappointing to say the least. The PB in Cool Spring Galleria, Franklin TN has hired some very rude and impolite employees. One afternoon two staff memebers couldn't be bothered to help me as they were having a conversation with a staff members husband. Five days later I returned to exchange one of the items I had purchased and was told that I could not and the manager point blank asked me "what are you looking at me for?" when I was trying to understand why I couldn't exchange said item. When I asked if she could place my purchased item back in a bag so I could leave she stated "don't you have a bag?" I said no, the sales clerk took my bag when I gave her the item I wanted to exchange. I need to be clear that this was an in stock item that I was changing out for a different color. I was not looking to exchange a picture frame for a sofa. Manager said, "What is that crinckling in your hand?" I said that it was my receipt for the purchase I made and she said "oh" and proceeded to hand me a bag without making any eye contact at all. As much as I adore the PB,I simply will not pay good money to be treated badly.
Can pottery barn STOP sending me emails i sent them a email to stop but they dont
I used to "LOVE" Pottery Barn, but the quality over the past couple of years has really plunged. Everything is made in China and doesn't have the quality it used to. In the past I have easily spent a hundred or more at a time with each visit. No More! I went in the store yesterday and found the quality lacking, and doesn't even warrant the sale price. I am not going to pay $7.00 to $10.00 a piece for a single Christmas ornament MADE IN CHINA that I can buy anywhere else for a tenth of the cost. If patrons refuse to buy these products Pottery Barn, as many other stores, will have no choice but to provide better quality products. As is, I would rather pay more and buy "made in America." Sorry Pottery Barn, you have lost a long standing customer because your products are no longer worth the money you ask.

Called today to order a shower curtain and found out it will be on backorder for 3 months. Shame on you for listing this product. I am going to purchase another one some where else now. You are loosing business and looks like to could care less.
