Is anyone out there aware that Petco outsources their call center to the Philippines? Here's a company that is supposed to help rescue dogs & cats and they have your phone call routed to a country that EATS them!! This just seems wrong and two-faced on Petco's part.
BEST EXPERIENCE EVER
So I went Into the new gambrills petco and I was buying a cat tree I asked a guy if he could help me because the box was way to heavy. So not only did he put it on the cart for me, he carried it to my car all the way from the store I called to speak with the manager and he was the one to answer his name is Chris and he was the best :) made my day. Its very far and few between that you find someone who will stop what their doing to help you and go out of their way just to make you happy :) I was never a huge fan of petco...but I will be a frequent shopper now :)
Customer Service
Today I purchased a hammock for my back seat and window protectors. Chris the assistant manager was wonderful. He went above and beyond to help me and even install the items to ensure that they fit. I was thrilled and all I had to do was pack up my Aussies and go. Thank you
My local store is great,
But the more I look into this company, they really bite! I joined their "Pals Rewards" program when they would give you "Buy 10 Get 1 FREE!" Great deal! I got one or two free bags of cat food for my 4 rescues a year. Loved it! Now I have to spend $100 to get a $5 coupon that expires on 30 days if I don't get back to the store, Oops, nothing for you! They exhibit the worst kind of Greedy Corporate behavior & I am looking to move on.Too bad, my local store is nice with nice people but it just got to be too many insults
puppy playtime
Love the puppy play time but I brought my puppies shot record but no one wanted to look and check if she was up to date (she was) now she is sick and had to take her to the vet and now on antibiotics cuz of her cough.

As an employee they don't treat you any better. A horrible company to work for. They play games, take forever to get things done because they all pass the buck.
WE CAN'T GIVE ANY OLE WILLIE NILLIE A RAIN CHECK'
I am appalled at how I was treated. The Store Manager, as well as the Dog and Cat food Manager of the Homewood Petco, were very condescending, disrespectful, and extremely rude. I simply requested a rain check for an out of stock item, and I was told Petco does not issue rain checks on out of stock items. If a store advertises an item, and it is out of stock, they should be happy to offer the consumer a rain Check. Not this Petco; i was told that i had to keep checking back to see if the items came in. No one wants to burn gas going back and forth I'm search of the out of stock items. Needless to say, I left the store without a rain check after 45 minutes of back and forth deliberation with the Dog and Cat food manager. The Store manager was was not in the store at the time this incident occurred. The Store manager was actually called at home, to verify giving me a rain check. The sale offer was; if you purchase two of this particular item , they would deduct ten percent off both items. I could not believe what I was experiencing, so i called the customer complaint line on the back of my receipt. I made a formal complaint about the way in which I was treated. It took the store manager 4 days to return my call. When the store manager called me back, he accused me of lying, and proceeded to argue with me, saying that I received a rain check . I tried to correct him, and it went down hill from there. I tried to tell him likewise, and nothing I said made a difference. I have never encountered such treatment from a General Manager before. It is my understanding that customer service is most important to any viable establishment. And, the most appalling of all of this was what the store manager said to me. He made this statement, "We can't just give any ole Willie Nillie a rain check". I asked him what he meant by that Comment and he continued to speak on further as though i was trying to over speak him. I have patronized that store for over 10 years, spent thousands of dollars with Petco, and I can not believe this is how an establishment treats DEDICATED VALUED CUSTOMERS! I am very concerned that they even have my address after this!

I see all these one star, I think it I need to sho 5 stars for the San Juan Capistrano, CA store. Lauren S. was awesome and everytime I have gone there the employees are so amazing
Petco needs to close
Petco you have provided the worst customer service I have ever seen. I sure hope you treat your animales better then you do your customers. I will definitely be checking on the poor littles ones you have in your store.
PETCO SOUTHAVEN, MS.
We have been an ADOPTION PARTNER at this store since it opened and we have never been treated so well, the new manager and staff are GREAT, before she got there you could not get help, long lines to pay and the stock was a mess. The store is now clean, staff helpful, products available. The manager makes time for any concerns of customers and even helps adopters, they work hard to help promote the Think Adoption First Program and are sincere in their efforts, What a wonderful difference a Excellant manager and proper employee staffing can make!!!!!!!
Rude,disrespectful
There rude when asking for an item. They change pricing in seconds to over charge. They never order what you want. Their lazy and want to do less work like cleaning tanks or cages. Call corporate office and what do you get something nothing done so that's a wait of time I figured that they don't care about customer service so I will not go there again for anything I will wait or go somewhere different to get it. Watertown petco you suck at everything close and leave town.

Well, I bring in my nice young american bullies, and they are all so nice, our store is layed out to where you can find what you are looking for, the employees come over and ask if we need help with anything or if we have any questions. One even showed us a few pictures of her cute pit bulls. They are ALWAYS nice and we LOVE going to our PETCO in Rochester, MN!!!
i was in the osage beach,mo store today, i bought a bottle of vet's best natural health care hot spot foam, i was in store at 12:01pm. i got home at 2;40PM. when i took my product out of the bag it was half empty, it had leaked all over he bag. i called the store at once, spoke with a person who said she was the manager, i told her what had happen she said there was nothing she could do. that they got products in all the time that where damaged and they just had to eat it. i told her did not think that was good customer service,she said that she would not do anything about it. I then tried several times to call corporate office only to get someone in the phillppines. i will never shop in this store again or any other petco, and i will tell everyone i can what happened.
Rude
I was at the Petco store at the lake of the Ozarks and I couldn't find an item. I saw 2 associates talking and laughing by the biscuit bar area. I excused myself and asked were I could find the item. The girl pointed to the other side of the store and said "it's over there somewhere" and continued to talk. As I walked away she thought I wasn't in ear range and she said if I werent so fat I could walk around the store and find it myself! I will start making the trip to Jeff City to PetSmart, prices are better and help is much nicer.
Survey
I just filled out your on-line survey which would entitle me to a $25 gift card. I filled out and completed survey, in which they acknowleded that I successful completed survey.A box appeared asking once again for my phone numbe, I gave my number the reply was to wait for a pin to be text to me. I did not receive a text and the computor went back to original page asking if I would like to fill out a survey. I gave all that information and feel this is a total scam!! I would appreciate some one getting back to me about this. Thank you
Customer Service Terrible
Did not receive a $100 item. Customer service would not replace it, even though they did not require a signature for delivery. Tried everything imaginable to avoid replacement, telling me I was several days outside of their return period (nothing on their website states there is a timeframe for reporting non-receipt of items), that FedEx claimed they delivered it to my house (no signature or way to prove that FedEx did not deliver to the wrong house), would not give out corporate address so I could send a letter. Spent $1000s at Petco over the past 6+ years but never will again. If I could rate zero stars, I would. Should have ordered from Amazon.

I have called customer service several times regarding this program. Most never heard of it --the petco petstore nver heard of it...then I had a customer service "associate" tell me --oh I just got an email on that let me forward it to you..it never happened . the other associate told me the program has been out for a long time so we dont know much about it. I said you dont know much about a program that has been out for over 8 months? well she said we need to call corporate and ask them about it. No one can give me any answer but the internet was full of stories about this program.I am starting to believe that this was a PR stunt. If there was a negative star I would have given it to them. PS they should stop selling Red eares sliders since no one can keep them for over 50 years which is how long they live in captivity

Order # 10599288 i place an order for items that were in stock. i received an email with order status and one item was backordered! i spoke to a gentleman? who was very rude, told me i could not cancel the order and the item will be available January 7, 2013. i expected my item in a week, now it's three weeks! After your employee rudley put he returned and explained to me that the item will be refunded. Your customer service rep need more training. Music while on hold was not appropriate! Never Again! Thank you for your cooperation.
I went in on a Sunday to the Orange location on Katella in city of Orange Ca. I did not have an appointment, but they were familiar with my dog at this grooming location. I asked if there was an opening to trim and shampoo my medium sized dog. The red headed girl with glasses named Sara said she will check. So she went to the back for a out 5 minutes. Meanwhile there was a couple there before me that had an appointment with a large dog. It was their first time and they did not have their shot papers to get their dog accepted in. So after 10 minutes of me standing there a groomer came up from the back and took a look at my dog through the glass and I heard her groan. Then the red headed girl Came out and i was still standing there waiting. Then i saw a hand from the back knock on the glass partition to get the Sara's attention to go to the back. When Sara came back she started paging for her manager who was no where to be found. Then she looked at me and said we can't take your dog today. And right in front ofe she refused the dog of the couple that had an appointment due to their lack of paperwork. She asked them for another appt , they refused and said they are going to another groomer. I then asked her if I could take their spot and she said no. So 25 minutes went by of my time and then I get a no even though there was a cancellation right in front of me. This is not the first time I have had issues with this location. I will not ever go again.
