Your marketing people should know that sponsoring a celebrity/athlete is based on the fact that the targeted consumers admire the person in question and want to be(come) like him/her. So by sponsoring Michael Vick you are influencing the American youth to look at him as a role model, despite the fact that he is a SERIAL animal abuser and killer! You may do well financially, but morally not at all. And for me that is what matters, and therefore I no longer buy any of your products.

I know you don't care about your former customers, your to big to care. I know you are going after the dollar of the kids and adults that follow and don't have a mind of there own. But for what it's worth and I'm guessing on my families end worth about 500.00 a year, we will never buy your products or any other brand you represent again. Why don't you just go all in and offer a new pair of Vick brand sneakers made from dog hide, at least then you would be acting on how you really feel. You don't care about his past, you don't care about the message it sends to kids, you don't care about animals, and you don't care about your customers. I hope I live long enough to see the Nike brand take a hit on popularity like k-mart. I will tell everyone I know that your company should be boycotted and your products are cheap.

A mistake is when you forget to put the toilet seat lid down but 6 years of torture of dogs from Vick is a character flaw that is not to be applauded...there are other athletes so more deserving and that really are role models....I will NEVER buy any of your products!

I am appalled but not surprised (tiger Woods, child labour?)at your sponsorship and endorsement of Michael Vick. To torture, abuse, drown, hang, electrocute those dogs, to watch them suffer, to make money and bet on the outcome of brutal fights is the action of sick individuals. No matter how often he "goes to Church" he has not apologised for his behaviour, nor, in a recent interview re what he would change in his life, does he say he would change his behaviour towards those dogs - he only wants to shorten his prison sentence. His time was for gambling and not for animal cruelty, so how can anyone say that he has paid for his crimes? Does he give any money or help to any animal sanctuary or rescue group? You Just Blew It Nike. I've explained to my children exactly why we won't be buying your products this year. They are 12 and 10 and THEY GET IT. It's a shame you don't. Glorify an animal abuser and murderer? What in the world makes that the right thing to do? Sorry, but we don't celebrate people who are one step short of Serial Killer around here. Nike, You will probably not even read this...but it is worth my time and I hope you see that these comments are worth your time as well. Nike products are pretty well made shoes and worn by students, children, athletes and everyday people. You are out there with the public in their eyes and I wonder why you don't want to be noticed as a Company that just "Does the right thing" (Just Do It)....You are using a monster (And I do not use the discription lightly)to promoteproducts. What does that tell us about your Co? Maybe you didn't start out this way but it is not too late to change and rise above the greedy, immoral, shallow position you have made for yourselves. Please make a change for the young people yet to fill your shoes. Stand up and do the right thing...It would have such a huge payoff for you if you will only try. Dog walkers, fosters, pet owners and Veterinarians all wear sports products as well. Help do your part and make a change it would have a global impact. What kind of human could have done with his bare hands what Vicke has done...not just once but repeatedly. To dogs that are now great, loving pets and even therapy dogs??? The ones that made it out alive still breathing are fare from recovering a lifetime of brutallity. Would you want your children growing up with his children thinking this is normal? All Psycholpathic serial killlers start out killing animals. That kinda of total lack of concious is a dangerous thing. Do you think he would clean up and look so well without your paychecks? If I could have given you a negative rating, I would have. Hopefully, you are receiving hundreds of negative comments lately in regard to your endorsement of an admitted dog killer. That puts it mildly. He didn't just murder them, first he tortured them. When they wouldn't fight to his expectations, he would hang them, drown them, electrocute them, shoot them...and if they managed to live through that, he and his thug buddies would grab them by the legs and slam them to the ground until they were finally dead...and they got enjoyment out of it. Is that the kind of person you want touting your cheap products, made by children in sweat shops? You dropped him once. What changed your stance on animal abuse? Why not endorse someone who has morals? Thiere are so many other athletes out there that are more deserving. We will not back down..we will continue to educate the ignorant as well as those who simply refuse to listen to fact. Your stock has been steadily dropping since we have started our campaign against your decision to support a thug who lies, is a felon, and enjoys inflicting pain on defenseless animals. Shame on you. I realize that you supposedly see Vick as "reformed" or that he's paid his debt. What I do wonder about is this?.....have any of you read the book "Lost Dogs"? Have you actually watched his interviews and seen any video footage of him giving fans the finger or saying...."F..k those dogs"??? I keep hearing about forgiveness...what about the golden rule of "thou shalt not kill"? I truly would like to know why you didn't sign up an athlete who is deserving? Have you watched the interview where he was asked if he would change anything about his past and he said, "No". Then later added that he would change how long he spent in prison? Nothing was said about regretting what he did to those dogs. And, the only thing he paid any time for was the gambling part of his charges...not for dog abuse! As far as it being a "mistake".....it's a mistake is you do something wrong and then don't do it again or try not to do it again. His situation was intentional and planned...for SIX years! How is that a "mistake"? And, now he was involved in some sort of violence involving guns and people....can't you see that he doesn't value any kind of life...human or animal? It's only a matter of time before he abuses humans, too. The only life he values is his own and how much money he can make....and it doesn't matter how! I can only hope that our children don't follow his lead. and, for a corporation the size of yours, I would think that you would not be promoting this for the sake of the children! Our voices ARE being heard and will continue to make a difference.....look at your stock numbers......dipping every day......and it's not due to the economy, it's due to your lack of responsibility to society. I'm glad there are other choices for golf apparel, clubs and balls because with representatives like Michael Vick I would rather quit playing this game that I love than put another thing with the Nike logo anywhere in my possession.

I am 62 years old and have worn Nike shoes exclusively all my life. However, after reading that Michael Vick will be a spokesperson for your company I have thrown away my Nike shoes and anything with your logo attached. Once again the dollar is mightier than moral decency. He may have "paid his debt to society," but he is still the same person that made a profit torturing and killing helpless creatures. His contrition is self-serving. just as Adolph Hitler would still be torturing and killing the helpless, Michael Vick is still the greedy, heartless and cruel person he always was.
