My son took his car to the McHenry Illinois location to have the muffler worked on and the mechanic broke the shifter gear as he couldn't seem to get the vehicle into gear. They admitted to my son they broke it and only completed a temporary fix. They refuse replace the part unless my son pays for the part. Why would they think he would want them to replace it when they can't even drive the car properly is beyond me.

I am writing a review concerning your customer service from a Midas shop in Marina Del Rey. My daughter went there to get some repair work done. She had made arrangements with one of the guys there. This person Harry was very rude to her and when she ask to speak with the guy, he would not let her talk to him. My daughter took time off work and drove 47 miles to have this work done. I don't understand his rudeness and my daughter left upset and crying by his horrible customer service. I just don't understand this kind of customer service from a company like yours.

went to Midas in Peoria Il had oil change they said I needed a new transmission pan and a flush had it done now my transmission is slipping. Called them they won't even look at it said its not their fault. I had absolutely NO transmission problem before they did the flush, I filed a complaint ( my 1st one) with the BBB have been a loyal 25 yr customer Never again!

Check the Better Business Bureul and the Bureul of Automotive Repairs on this company? They are really bad!!!! Go in for a oil change and tire rotation, And you will need a new/rebuilt motor or trans when your done or stitches in your face if you complain to much about the service. It is awful!

Midas Muffler on York Blvd Hamilton,Ontario tried to charge me over $200.00 to install 2 side step bars on a Honda CRV.The manager claimed that 2 employess worked on it for an hour so he doubled their hourly rate of $89.50 plus tax.The Honda dealer told me that this job would cost $105.00 to have it done at their shop.I thought that I could save a few bucks by going to Midas.I will never go to another Midas shop for work ever again!

I am giving this place a zero star since they are a scam. The people that reply my brake drum and charged me for almost $ 1500 in Brigdeville they replaced it with a broken one and told me they never did it. Well, obviously they did since right after they reply it the next day i took my car for inspection and there the guy at jeffey lube told my husband the Midas people replaced my brake drum broken. People stay away from this guys they are horrible.

We were leaving to go out of town. We thought we would get an oil change before heading out for our vacation. The Midas in Reyonldsburg, Ohio YOUR SIGN SAYS YOU OPEN AT 7:30AM!!!! Change your sign to WE OPEN AT OUR CONVIENCE! Then paying customers like myself would known you aren't open until 8:00am despite what your sign says! Thank You, Not returning Customer

I just got off the phone with Midas customer relations or service or what ever it is they call themselves. I really doesn't matter because they don't get involved with the consumers issues anyway. Basically their position on most matters is going to be, it's up to you to deal with the franchise owner. My truck was damaged when I took it in to get a simple oil change a week ago and the mechanic and owner are absolutely denying responsibility. All I'm saying is BEWARE, take pictures of your vehicles BEFORE you entrust it to any one at Midas. It's my opinion that they are liars, and can't seem to be bothered with getting involved with issues they claim are "He said She said". I'm telling you people document, photograph and if possible watch over every step they take while your vehicle is in their possession, My rating for Midas Corporate F F F-. The only reason I marked them with one star is because the review CAN"T be posted without choosing one.

Why is it that if you go to the BBB website and do a search on Midas Corporation, almost ALL of the franchises are NOT members of this organization. Take a look at all the reviews below rated at one star. They'll paint a good story as to why. Rating less than zero.

It would seem that this company continues to fund the hate speech of Rush Limbaugh. I will certainly not be purchasing a muffler from them as long as they continue this!

This corporation seems has the sole intent to sell franchises and take no responsibility for the less than below average work done by these shop. Bait and hook strategies are used by franchise owners and a class action suite should be formulated. A textbook header change and they drilled into my water jacket to remove a broken stud. Qualified shops do this problem free on a regular basis. I will be personally suing Midas Corporate for a replacement as this so called shop suggested sealing the damage they did to the block. Is that not laughable?

Kevin Taylor asked if we wanted the 3 part cleansing. I told him not this time. The next time we changed our oil we would get the cleansing at that time. I thought this was put to rest. Kevin said the maintenance would be $630.00. I agreed. When we were ready to leave Kevin let me know we needed to get gasoline as soon as possible because the cleansing agent needed more gasoline than I had in the car. When I asked him about our agreement to wait until the next oil change he acted very surprised. I only want your representative at Midas to be respectful of women as well as men. Your business in this area has a lot of working women that drive cars.

bob the manager awesome guy , work and prices came in under budget an honest guy , honest shop quality work,cant say enough good about this shop! I will refer others, bob is a great hands on guy!!!

Horable. I was lied to about what needed to be done and garaunteed it would be fixed 300.00 after being lied to by Loyd and nate also insulted by Michael by saying You have money why you worried! I was told 700.00 would fix it then had to pay 1000.00 and called corperate, several days later nothong and car still vibrates horable worse than when taken in 2 weeks ago.that is 1264 31 indy.

I went to our local midas in Manteca, CA for an oil change and they refused my service because I said no to synthetic oil. They tried to pull a fast one on me by saying my 2012 Nissan Altima "requires" synthetic oil only! Since we got that car we've been getting regular oil even the dealership put regular oil on our 1st oil change. I'm so disappointed with them!! All they care is about up selling and not the customer! I'm telling everyone I know about this! I rate them a big fat 0!!!

I will send my certified letter return receipt in the morning. Who knows, perhaps corporate will respond correctly. Those reading this will probably laugh knowing what my point is in the customer service world having been there already. That said, I will try....Midas, run from this outfit and save yourself money. Go elsewhere.....

I took my car into the Huber Heights, OH location for a new exhaust system. The car runs fine, except, being retired military, I did not receive the 10% military discount on the invoice. I talked to Corey Burk on 4/17 who assured me that I would receive a check in the mail by COB 4/19. No check

I went to the Midas in Hawthorne NJ to take advantage of the $19.99 oil change. I drove off and not even 10 minutes later my check engine and ABS light comes on. I was puzzled being that I took my car for an oil change a half an hour before the lights came on and I had no issues with my 2010 rav 4. So I call them and I was asked to bring my car back in so they can do a quick diagnostic and reset it. The mechanic tells me that I may need to replace the oxygen sensor and if the light comes back on after resetting it I need to come back. Both lights come back on, so I call my brother who happens to know a thing or two about cars. Immediately his first thought is that they messed with my car to get me to pay for things I didn't need. I call midas again the following morning and i was given a price quote of the upper sensor at $350 and lower sensor at $310.64. I then drive to the R&S Strauss for a free diagnostic. My brother proceeds to open the hood and the air flow tank hose was disconnected. My brother reconnected and the technician at R&S Strauss walks over and I tell him the story and before I could even finish my story he completed it for me. It so happens that he knows people that work at the Midas in Hawthorne NJ and this scam is a common practice for them especially women to get them to pay for unnecessary work. The check engine light came on due to the simple fact that the air flow hose was purposely disconnected. I am dropping off my car at the dealership where I purchased my car so they can look into the ABS light. I have a feeling they screwed with that as well. Ladies stay away from this place. They are scam artist and will run you and unnecessary bills because we are vulnerable and uneducated when it comes to cars. You are better off paying a little extra and getting an oil change from a reputable place and not get scammed. Not only did you lose a customer but I will make sure to tell everyone I know thus story and to stay away from your business. Rating is "NEGATIVE"

My twenty year old daughter took her car into Midas at the Lawrence Kansas location for an oil change and was told she needed ball joints to fix a shimmy. $200.00 and new ball joints did not fix the problem. Poor customer service and scare tactics are used to bolster their sales at this location. Shame on Midas!
