The KinderCare in Franklin,Tn is becoming a nightmare. The director is fake and she is distroying the class rooms...im sorry she is making them look like prison cells. I don't see how the teachers put up with her and her crap. Kids were suppose to be moved 3 weeks ago and just did it. Coming into the center each morning was like going through a maze. The kids cubbies would be in different classes and its very irratating. The teachers deserve a better director cause she does not care, you can see it in her attitude. The asst. director is wonderful she is always so helpful and the teachers are great I really feel sorry for them.
RUN FAST!!! This is the worst place you could ever bring your children. The student to teacher ratio is ridiculously high! They go OVER state ratio, as I worked there and had my child attend with me. He was 2 years old and SMARTER THAN HIS TEACHER! He would actually correct her! How sad! They treat their employees like crap, and the kids too. It's all about enrollment. The regional district manager, Michael Decoufle is a flaming moron! The kitchens are filthy and filled with bugs and improperly stored food! The classrooms and carpets never get cleaned!! It's so disgusting. You have to ask to sanitize toys, and they get all huffy with you if you do. BAD, BAD, BAD. Their teacher turnover rate is outrageous because REAL, good teacher would never stay!!
Kindercare in matteson is boring. I miss the old director Ms. Mitchell. She was a good and fun director. The new director is boring and i can tell the teachers don't like her. She is always in the office with the door close, on the computer or on the phone. It has definetly changed.
My Kids have been attending Kindercare for a few years. I love ALOT of thier teachers but recently it has not been the same. Kids are being placed together in the morning classroom that should never be. My 3year olds is in with 5th graders that are running arround getting ready for school. Some goes for in the afternoon, as child ratio numbers dropped kids are thrown together to cut cost. Teachers in the school age rooms are much to bust talking to one and other, playing on cell phones, and doing paper work to pay attention to the kids. It is a chaotic enviorment with extensive amounts of bulling. My son cried till we cut his hair because other students in the class kept picking on him and calling him a girl. My oldest son was picked up for school with hand prints onhis neck for a teachers child at the center... AND I HAD TO ASK for a incident report to be wrote up!
My 3 year old's class has recently undergone a change. One of the teachers has my kid in tears constantly, this part is normal. It gets better! We have been given a new teacher. You can tell the lady isn't quite right. She is always yelling at the kids and she can't even read to them. You should hear her, my dog could read better. I am all for hiring people with disabilities but come on, in a preschool? Can't we find her a job at McDonalds?
These people are right. Everything they are saying is true. But thats not the half of it.If you work there or as a parent hung around long enough. You would see these exact things going on. The sad part is the children are the ones losing out. Everything is false about them. They advertise falsely and expect you to cover-up their lies. The managers and directors are told to enroll, enroll, enroll. We need more kids is all you hear from them, that means more money. The food is limited to the children, they are shoved around from room to room everyday. Some of the directors show special favoritetisim to certain children while other children are made to feel bad about themselves. What a bunch of liers.
I removed my child from Kindercare recently. The teachers are amazing and they love and care for the children. However, the management is abysmal. The school is understaffed and the children are shuffled from one room to another to maintain teacher/child ratios. Additionally, the teachers are moved around as well and this creates an environment for the children that makes them feel insecure due to the inconsistent care. They maintain the absolute maximum classroom size while also having the largest teacher/student ratios allowed by the state of Texas. These maximums are frequently surpassed due to under-staffing in the morning hours as children arrive combining multiple age groups into a single room. It is not uncommon to find 14 children ages 6 months to 3 years in a room with only one teacher. Children cannot thrive and develop in an environment this chaotic. Hire more teachers. Reduce the class sizes. Pay your teachers more and stop cutting their hours. Also, fire that awful director, Stephanie. The place has gone downhill from the moment she took over. She cares more about staffing hours and enrollment numbers than she does about the quality of care for the children. She wants to maximized dollars instead maximizing care. That may be the way to run a business, but it's not how you should raise children. As a side note, I sent my daughter to a school that has a maximum class size of 18 with three full time teachers, a 6:1 ratio. Kindercare? 22 kids, 2 teachers which is a 11:1 ratio. The new school only costs $9 more a week and it's worth every single penny.
I was an employrer with kindercare and at first it was great it looked like the directeors really cared and corporate too. In fact i felt like i was part of a team who really cared about the children and parents. But then everything changed and things started to happen like chidren being shuffled from room to room like cattle and treating children like just a number from the management. Also not providing us with the supplies needed to do the job and then when we would spend our own money to make the class rooms looks appropreate no thank oyu from anyone. They want us to give it our all 100% plus percent but are not willing to respect us in return. To stingy to pay what we are worth and give teachers the respect they deserve then theres the forcing teachers to come to work even when they are sick or injured. The demands of this job is high enough and you have to have areal love for the children to do this job well. But not at the expences of being human beings to me all they care about is the money IT TO BAD THE PARENTS DONT KNOW ABOUT ALL THE HUSH,HUSH THAT THEY TELL THE TEACHERS TO HAVE IN ORDER TO WORK FOR THEM.
The kids are treated as if they were in the military, all you hear is, "How many do you have?", "Ten? Okay I'm sending two over!" I walked in on that many times. I've also seen teachers constantly doing paperwork and trying to watch the kids at the same time, I don't know if corporate members have children but multi-tasking with one child is hard enough, let alone more than one! Some of my favorite teachers have quit because of low pay, pay the employees more so our children can keep learning with the teachers they love and stop changing teachers on them, that does affect a child! I thought I would really enjoy KinderCare but I wasn't pleased, nor are many other parents, ask your parents and employees what changes they would like to see! Maybe not all centers are this way but I didn't enjoy my experience with you.
The KinderCare location I sent my 5 year old child to is located in Fishers Indiana. My child went to school on last Thursday perfectly health, When I want to pick my child up she had a huge swollen black eye. I was totally caught off guard and very angry. No one at the school bothered to contact me and report that my daughter had an accident and her eye was completely swollen shut. The director blamed the teacher and the teacher blamed the secretary and no one took responsibility to contact me. There have been times in the past when I have been in a rush and forgot to pay the morning tuition was due and the staff would continuously call my cell, house, and work line, until I came in the afternoon to pay. I was really shocked that the school is more focused on the money than the care of my child. If they would have contacted me earlier I could have got my daughter to the doctor and avoided much of the swelling. My child is last name is Moore if anyone at the corporate level even bothers to investigate this situation.
