My daughter's (ages 11 and 13) just returned from a trip to the mall and a horrible trip to Hollister. Both my girls had 100.00 to spend, but 5 minutes later we walked out of there with our ears ringing. The music was so loud that I could not hear any of the sales people when they spoke to us and I had to be standing with my ear to my daughter's mouth to hear them. Before we walked out the manager came up to us and asked if she could help us find anything.I told her that due to the loud music they just lost out on 200.00 worth of sales. She just shrugged her shoulder's.I told her that they should start selling beer and food and turn it into a bar.Needless to say we went to one of their competetiors and spent the monet. We will not go back there again.
I bought a Hollister jacket in 2009, but did not wash it until 2010. I washed it explicitly according to the washing instructions. The label never said anything about dry cleaning the jacket. When I removed the jacket from the dryer, the faux fur around the hood shrunk and turned into a fuzzy mess. It was ruined and could not be fixed to bring it back to it's original fur-like look. I had my receipt, but the manager at the store refused to give me my money back or store credit. If the care instructions had specifically said that the jacket could only be dry cleaned I would taken it to be dry cleaned. This is unacceptable. I would never trust Hollister again and will never take my business there again.
I made an online purchase of three sweatshirts for my daughters and paid with my debit card. I was checking my bank account and was shocked to see it was overdrawn and pending were not one but three charges to Hollister. I called to find out why and was told they put a hold on my card and release that hold when my items are shipped out. I understood that part but pointed out that my items had shipped so the hold shoud be removed. I was told it could take 7-10 days to "fall off" of my account. I told the sales rep that wasn't acceptable - were they going to pay my overdraft fees? She said there was nothing she could do and to talk to my bank. I then called my bank and they said they couldn't remove the hold that had to be done by Hollister (which is what I thought but...) So I called Hollister again and got a different sales rep who was quite rude so I admit I was rude back and was told the same thing again. I asked to speak to a manager and was told there was nothing a manager could do that they couldn't do. In frustration I hung up and once more called my bank. I was then told a three way call could be made. I called Hollister again and was told they do not make phone calls out. Grrrr. Well I explained my situation again and this lady gave me the codes I needed to give my bank to release those funds! Why I wasn't given those in the first place I do not know! So six phone calls later my account was finally fixed. But I will NEVER shop online at Hollister again and I will probably actually never buy Hollister product again.
This message is regards to a purchase that I made online. I spent $85 worth of clothes through the website and I used paypal to pay for my purchase. When using my paypal account, the billing address was different from the shipping address. I wanted my order to be shipped to my boyfriend's apartment under his name. Well Hollister made a mistake and shipped to package to his apartment but under my name. Because of this mistake the package was not left at the apartment and instead I had to go pick up the package from the post office. Then at the post office I found out that they shipped the package back to Hollister on accident. Then when I requested a full refund from Hollister they only refunded me for the actual items and NOT for shipping and handling! How is that my fault? Hollister sent my package to the wrong recipient and therefore I must pay for their mistake? Now I am out of $10 and I don't have the items that I wanted either! I feel like Hollister robbed me of $10 and when I called customer service they told me that there was nothing that they could do! I don't know how you can steal from your customers like that when it is your mistake!!!
Hollister is a bad store. The manager didn't even care if you tell them the music is so loud. They are not going to do anything about it. The manager didn't even report this problem to the corporate office to let them know about customer concern. Hollister in Westminster Mall and Main Place, California don't have good clothes and so expensive. Hollister store have the music so loud that could kill my ear. I don't like to go in there but every time I pass by, the music distract my shopping spirit. This store is look like a night club than a store for young kid. Loud music, dimmer light, this doesn't work at all for most of people. You guy are teaching kid to become bad because of your loud music. Corporate people you all have to awake and listen to customers concern. Your music is so distracted and interfere people communicate and listening. Corporate office need to pay attention more about how to run a good business.
I shopped at Hollister in Mcallen, Texas and I purchased a blue jacket and paid cash within two hours I went back to the store and told the guy in the register that I want to return it and purchase a red one instead he then did the transcation as even exchange I realized what he did and I questioned it and told him i would feel more cofortable if her gave me a regular recipt and not one with an even exchange, beacause i didnt want to have any trouble if i needed to return it.Although i told him this he said that recipt would be fine,so i left. Then 3 weeks later my daughter informs me that she didnt want the jacket anymore so when I went to return it they could not give me my money so the gave me a merchandise credit. I am very upset because the manager should not have lied to me....
I bought a pair of pants on Tuesday at 40% off and discovered they were the wrong size. I went back on Thursday to exchange them for a different size and was told I would have to pay the difference since the pants were no longer on sale. I explained it was an even exchange-- not a different item-- but the manager insisted she was right. Still waiting to hear back from corporate because nowhere in their written return policy does it say that. Very upset.
