I purchased the teeth whitening deal with PearlNation on the 17/12/2011 cost price £69 through Groupon for One Hour Laser Treatment in South London. I made my appointment with Pearl nation directly for the 17/01/2012. On the 16th/01/012 I was contacted by someone from Pearl nation saying that my appointment would have to be re-scheduled to 30/01/2012, I argued that this was not fair notice by them for me and as a result I would lose a days pay for time I had taken off work. Never the less, the caller said there was nothing she could do except to offer me another appointment for today. She asked me for my voucher number and secuity code for my voucher. I have taken another day off work and I travelled down to London to the address at Amadeaus House Floral St. Covent Garden WC2E 9DP. On arrival I was told by the receptionist that no such company was and had ever been at Amadeaus House. I asked to speak to the manager who asked me for any relevant phone numbers for Pearl nation, as he has had to turn away numerous other people from their premises and was getting very concerned that their address was being used. The manager did get to talk to Pearl Nation while I was there but was given a refusal to speak to the person in charge of Pearl Nation and infact the phone was slammed down in the middle of the conversation. I noticed that Groupon were still selling vouchers for teeth whitening from Pearl Nation up untill a few weeks ago. This worries me as I can not have been the first to complain about this bad and extremely dodgy probably illegal practice by Pearl Nation. For this reason I asked for a refund of my total amount paid £69 within the next 5 working days. This complaint was made on Tthe 30th January. No one replied to my email untill 7 days later. They said they would look into my matter and offered me £69 but only to go back into my credit with them and only to buy deals in the future with them. I refused. I wrote back saying it might be seen as a goodwill gesture if they had dicided to compensate me for my wasted time and shoddy treatment by them and their bussiness partners! They have told me they will look into my case again as it seems that my voucher has been redeemed, (used) thereby saying I have recieved treatment!! I explained to support at Groupon that this is certainly not the case! I havent been happy with their customer sevices in the past.(I waited 4 weeks for a refund before christmas for teeth veneers that turned out to be not suitable). I am thinking very seriously of reporting this to a consumer watchdog programme which airs on Radio 4, so others wont be duped into parting with this kind of money and so much valueble wasted time!
I had an idea.. Similar to the movie, Supersize me, Groupon should do a documentary in similar fashion. You can only do things, eat etc.. Things purchased from Groupon for 30 days.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. I BOUGHT GOODS THREE MONTHS AGO AND STILL DON'T HAVE THEM. THE MANAGERS AT GROUPON WONT SPEAK TO ANYONE ON THE PHONE AND I AM CONSTANTLY FOBBED OFF WITH EMAILS WHICH SOLVE NOTHING. THEY ALSO HANG UP ON YOU WHEN THEY GET FED UP TRYING TO RESOLVE YOUR QUERY. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM!

Groupon is the worst company. They have charged me money and are not delivering the product. There customner care is pathetic...trying to call them for last 4 days and the number is always busy. DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM GROUPON. GROUPON YOU SUCK.
I never used a single groupon offering and have clicked on the unsubscribe line at least 30 times. I still receive them. I called Groupon twice and stayed on hold forever both times and gave them an earful both times. I received an apology and was assured I would be removed from their mailing list both times. I'll be in chicago next week and intend to raise a ruckus in person. Lowlifes.

Your phone number is not giving an option to speak to a person and it all starts to seem like a con! Please revert asap to the mentioned email!
So far, I have not had a good experience with Hong Kong Groupon, which I joined recently. I accidentally bought two vouchers for a service and tried to cancel one. I called the number and emailed the HK Groupon. I have been ignored. I suppose that they are waiting for the time limit to run out so that I can't refund my second voucher. I am hesitant to continue to doing business with this company.
Dear Sir/Madam, I'm writing to complain my recent unhappy purchase experiences at Groupon Hong Kong within the three months. One was the refund process that I never receive my refund for a mint-design shoes which were not delivered in September 2011, and I wrote a refund email to Groupon HK but did not receive any reply. Another cheating experience was a purchase of a salon service that four of us were cheated with the money but Groupon HK did not reply us either by email or telephone. P.S. We found the hair salon did not exist when we wanted to use the service two months after purchase, but before it's expired. Although the money is amount HK$660 but Groupon HK is no more a reliable company for us. I've asked to delete the email subscription but they also failed to do so. I'm thinking to send a letter to Groupon Hk for any claims I should have including the lawsuit fee if any. As Groupon HK claims in the website, they always put customer service first. I bought a Groupon voucher, with the Groupon in Spain (I live in Barcelona currently but am from England). The voucher was 130 euros for a trip to Florence, when I contacted the hotel to make the reservation they told me I couldn't use it at the weekend) the voucher had not stated this. When I contacted the support team in Spain they told me I could have the money returned to my groupon account, I emailed to ask what this would mean exactly and that was three weekes ago. I have emailed them at least ten times and called them about 15 and they have neither replied nor answered the phone. I am quite happy to have the money returned and be able to use it for other offers if this is the only option but at the moment I am 130 euros down with no way of contacting Groupon. I feel like I have been robbed and I have no way of speaking to anyone, it seems like fraud to me. Having searched on the internet I have found that many people are having similar problems and are contacting lawyers/ the police. Pleas advise me what I can do Poor is not the word.
Hi, You were at five stars but you went down quickly on my radar on that one below so I ll note this specific problem. after waiting 8 days to get my fifth deal in less than a month I finally got worried about my deal I bought for me and my girl friend getting anxious and wondering why after receiving 2 emails a day from groupon Paris which I admit I was enjoying both the emails and the deals all of a sudden I was not getting anything not only that I was waiting to get the usual email with my coupon? but nothing was coming so I decided to write a request mail (below) to the Paris office (response is also below). After the thrill and the excitement of buying 5 deals it all went down to a complete silence and along with it a complete disapointment...if you want your deal go get it yourself pal ok txs I m glad you r telling me If it was not for my email I will still be waiting for my coupon...ao txs

For an American company you should be ashamed that you are allowing Singapore companies to act in a racially discrimative fashion (even though no discrimation law exists) vouchers for Singaporians and PRS only. For the other 1.5 million expats and foreigner workers the vouchers are not available. Shame on Groupon for being apart of this and creating such ads. I am done with groupon!
Hi, I'm in Peru and groupon is doing the same thing here, they sold me an offer of a hotel with pictures as the hotel is on the beach, now when I tried to make a reservation the manager said that the groupon hotel is in town, 20 minutes drive to the beach and the procedure for reservations for groupon is different, and they will determine when can I use the voucher, a total FRAUD, I hope they go under soon at least I will deter everyone I know to buy groupon and of course I'll block them from my e mail....... never again
i have had nothing but a bad experience when dealing with groupon as a seller in Hong Kong. Unanswered phones, non replying to emails delaying or never getting back to you, NIGHTMARE people to work with
I tried for over a month to reach Groupon by phone and email to discuss featuring our business. I got fed up with the lack of response (no communication after over 6 attempts). Finally I got spammed by them to try them for free even though I was willing to pay during my multiple attempts. I was so fed up, I told them I'd gone to other places to offer a discount which was true. Conclusion: - they play hard-to-get to attract a participating business - doesn't sit well with the business - whatever the discount, the competition for being a broker isn't a fat margined busines on the internet - it will be thin, so there is no future in the margins they collect in my opinion. I think the bottom line for coupon brokering is about a 2-5% skim on the transaction. - personally, I can see why they are rushing for an IPO, might as well cash in on the hype in my opinion Good luck to those "investors" but if some of the analysts did their homework, I think the reviews would be poor in my opinion. Anyhow, the stock market is all about greed.

One month ago I bought through the GROUPON in BRAZIL, I travel package to Orlando, that includes airfare tickets, hotel and car rental. After spend the entire month try to get in touch with the Travel Agency (GroupOn Patner on the promotion), finally someone answer the phone, just to tell me that the Agency New Way Travel - DO NOT HAVE THE PACKAGE THAT THEY SOLD WITH GROUPON. First, I couldn´t believe, how the GROUPON will sale something it doesn´t have it. I start to call the GROUPON´s customer Service in Brazil. I explain to them, what was going on. The Customer Service said that someone would get back to me. NOBODY EVER CALL ME BACK. I have more than ten protocol numbers, for each time I contact the customer service. I call and e-mail the GroupOn costumer Service several times and never got an answer. Last Time I call and e-mail, on October 15th. I told the Customer Service I would go to the police and file I police report for fraud. GroupOn in Brazil, sold to 700 people a travel package that does not exist, and to not return anybody calls or complain. Any person would consider this kind of act - fraud the large scale. After feeling that GROUPON has stole my money, as a journalist, I start to research about the way GroupOn does it business in Brazil. What I found out would leave astonished. The “ Modus Operandis” of the GroupOn in Brazil is defaulting people on their money. The GroupOn in Brazil fraud people that are think in save money. Most of the promotions are completely phony. Thousand of Brazilian bought with GroupOn a Tablet branded Fluent, just to find out, they would never get the tablet. More than 600 people bought a travel package to Buenos Aires and a week later the Travel Agency close it doors, and none of the customer ever got the package to Buenos Aires. The same things happen with travel packages sold to Cuba and to Orlando (like my package). Other thousand people bought a discount in a restaurant ( Churrascaria OK Grill) and then they found that the place was close by the Health Department in São Paulo. In few months of operation, GROUPON became one of the company with the largest numbers of customer complain with the Brazilian department that regulates customer relation in Brazil (called PROCON). Thousand of deceive customers in Brazil are claiming that THEY WOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM GROUPON AGAIN. The word of mouth of fraud and deceiving, regarding the way GROUPON in Brazil treat its clients, is spreading around really fast. Thousands and thousands of people are being fraud and losing their money, just for trusting in GroupOn in Brazil. I sure that is not the way your company operates in USA. I´m begging you to take a close look in how the GROUPON is operating and conducting it is business in Brazil. Is scaring what they are doing here. I know you value the brand and the company you created, please DO NOT LET THE BRAZILIAN BRANCH DESTROY THE REPUTATION OF YOUR COMPANY HERE. PLEASE, I URGE YOU TO START A INVESTIGATION ON THE GROUPON IN BRAZIL BEFORE IS TO LATTE. I´m a deceived customer whose pay U$ 3,000 (three thousand dollar) for a travel package that I never got it. The GroupOn´s Customer Service NEVER call me back, return my money or delivery the travel I paid for. Now, all I have is a lawyer that will try to get my money back. I will never use GROUPON again. I am being telling all my friends about this fraud. Please, do something about the Brazilian operation of your Brand. As a Journalist I never saw a company with so much disregards to their customers. Just a little (read: extremely) ticked off at Groupon for failing to provide simple customer service. I had an issue last week with a voucher, emailed them on Monday of this week - no reply at all. Emailed them again on Thursday - still nothing. Sent a very angry email this morning AND posted something on Groupon Montreal's Facebook wall - and guess what? They DELETED my post! Here's what I posted again (at about 2:30 Montreal time): "Why would you remove my post from earlier today asking for some simple customer service??? How incredibly unprofessional! Instead of dealing with the issue, you ignore it and delete my message." And guess what? THAT comment was deleted!! Groupon has my contact information - why won't they simply help me with the issue??? Groupon has lost a majore amount of credibility in my mind today, and I'm sure I'm not alone!
All you have to do is INFORM YOUR CREDIT CARD CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT, tell them you were defrauded, and they will reverse your transaction, giving you a refund.
Groupon is bad for small business. I was asked to participate in a Groupon campaign in Dayton, Ohio. I operate a small nationally chained cafe. Our most expensive item is $6.49. Groupon convinced another franchisee to list all the locations in the market, so each location would benefit from Groupon's large database. The night before it was to go live I receive the "Rules" of the offer. After reading it, I determined that this was not in my businesses best interest. I replied to their email I did not want to participate. The next day my location was displayed and over 110 Groupon's were sold. I felt I had to honor the Groupon coupon to save face with customers that bought them. I would perceive my potential losses over $1,000.00 Group will no longer acknowledge my emails requesting a remedy for a campaign I did not want. Stay away.
