I am stuck in Houston after missing my flight home last night to Sao Paulo. I was on a flight in Dallas at 4:30 p.m. which ended up being CANCELLED due to mechanical problems. Confirmation number CLZNWJ. Once we got to Houston, by the time we got to our gate (even with the help of taking a ride on a cart), when we arrived at the gate the plane had left 2 MINUTES before we arrived.
I am an experienced traveler. Most of the time in these cases, the airline will hold the plane for a few minutes so that people can make their flight. Even when it is NOT the airline's fault that the traveler misses the flight - like for weather reasons, etc., they hold the plane.
We were given a room, vouchers, and of course passage for tonight. I would have been MUCH happier had they also offered an upgrade for our inconvenience of delaying our trip and other amenities.
Instead, the woman who waited on us was very unfriendly, talking with the other women behind the counter. She didn't even look us in the eye, didn't say she was sorry we missed the flight - nothing.
We will NOT be flying Contiental again!
I would give them NEGATIVE 10 stars!
