Worst customer service in my life

Trying to get an answer regarding the third nook touch glow light that is unusable due to screen light cracks. Have written 7 emails and 8 hours of telephone calls only to be disconnected when I ask for a supervisor. A product is only as good as its customer service support. Kindle/amazon...here I come

Worst Customer Service

This is the worst customer service that i have ever experiences. For what seemed like a simple issue, it is still not resolved. For such a big company, they really need to fix their customer service.

Great luck to have Crystal the day I walked in to decide on what Nook to buy. Here's a stellar employee with personalily to wait on the public. Enthsiastic & knows the product; excellent communcation skills; patient with undevided attention; nothing is too much bother despite trivial or repeated questions; never pawns you off to another - she gets the answers. Not so lucky with others; some need closer attention to their personal presentation; more patience hearing the same questions; improve skills in working with the 'very mature' buyer.

Glad that stores are closing

I can't believe that No one at Barnes and Noble gives a rip about Customer satisfaction. As stores close, don't blame just the economy.Blame the Ceo and upper management. Complaint after complaint goes ignored and we just have no recourse.I have tried to get help with my Nook but NO one will help and it doesn't matter where I go or how many times I call. The people they have in customer service are rude and don't know up from down. The Nook is a joke and has many problems.I agree with contacting the Attorney General and I will also make sure Everyone I know and anyone that I come in contact with to go to Amazon and forget Barnes and noble altogether.

Worthless!

I gave Barnes & Noble one star ONLY because I can't give them zero stars! Their customer service is worthless! Don't order egift cards through them, it takes days for them to process egift cards and ALWAYS takes a bunch of calls to their "customer serivce" department in the Phillipines to attempt to resolve the issues. They like to blame credit card companies for the hold up, but it is simply incompetance at Barnes & Noble that causes the delay. So much for "immediate delivery!" What a worthless company!

Customer Service

I am extremely disappointed in B&N customer service. After more than 2 months, my daughter is STILL trying to get her NOOK replaced. She has received nothing but empty promises; after being told several times that a NEW Nook would be sent within 3-5 days, she's still waiting -- totally unacceptable!

customer membership

Don't buy it! I bought it in Dec. and they didn't have fliers but promised coupons and bells and whistles. Said I'd get it in email or mail - I've emailed Barnes and Noble 4 times and stopped in 2 stores since then to get the membership packet - 1.5 mos. later, I'm still waiting. I'll NEVER do business with them again - order from Amazon. You won't waste a trip or unfulfilled membership promises.

If you want good Customer Service from B&N go to a store and save yourself the aggravation of talking to complete idiots on the phone. Does anybody there even speak English?? It's pretty pathetic when you have to tell the Supervisor what needs to be done. Had a problem with updating software to my Nook. 2 1/2 hour 3 phone calls later I still couldn't upload the file. So the said it was the Nook and sent me another one. Went into the store and in less than 10 min my Nook was updated. The Tech People are utter idiots.

worst company ever worst customer service ever, still havent been able to get money back owed to me two calls to cust service and one e-mail that was answered about a month later, and it told me to contact customer service, will make a trip to my local barnes and noble store, if nothing gets resolved may have the attorney general in my state and the state where the store is located look into this.

Stores

I have had great experiences with your stores and especially the one in New Town in Williamsburg VA. I just read that you are doing away with many stores. I have always used B & N rather then other on line companies because you do have stores. On line is ok but when you need something right now you need stores. If you go just on line there is no reason for me to be loyal to you.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Nobody speaks english and no one is helpful with any situation. Everyone gave me the run around with my Nook tablet I purchased for my daughter. The product will no longer cut on and no help at all from Barnes and Noble. I will never again shop here again.

lego ninjao golden dragon

I pre-ordered the new golden dragon lego toy on december 31st for my son and his 6th birthday to be shipped on january 28th. I checked the order status today and found out the order was cancelled all together and I was never contacted. The manager on duty said it was a mistake on their part and that they were very sorry. I practically had to beg to speak to a manager and at that point all she could do was send a $5. gift card to me. Unfortunately this will not cover the shipping cost if I can find it at another store. I will be very lucky if I do since this toy was new and hard to find. I am very disappointed in the customer service at this point and will reconsider buying from barnes and noble again. I have a week to try and find this toy for my son and his birthday party not to mention how upset he will be.

school store

I was so very angry with the charges for my books at my university store that I started a campaign to inform students of the advantages of ordering online. I see the impact of my efforts, as this semester, the price of textbooks are much lower. Perhaps the next step will be to fire the manager at the B&N store at University of Baltimore.

THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE

I ordered a book through B&N and it is supposed to come from another seller but the seller does not provide a contact number or tracking number. I contacted B&N and they said they do not have a phone number for the seller, but I purchased the book on their site... over a week now and still no book, the book shipped on 1/13/13, its now 1/22/13

Beware Memberships you did not request!!!

I just received a letter with a new membership card. I was really surprised because I knew I had not requested it. I was annoyed, but then, as I read the letter, I was more than annoyed, I was furiious! They advised me that if I did not cancel this membership which they sent me unsoliciated, that they would charge my credit or decit care $25. I called to investigate and they told me that someone had enrolled on Jan. 3, 2013. Well, it sure as heck was not ME! But it had my name and address on it. I have made two purchases from Barnes and Noble in the past 6 months, one local and one on eBay, so either my personal data was used from the local sale or my personal data was used from the eBay purchase from Barnes and Noble. I most certainly did NOT enroll. I am furious that Barnes and Noble would use personal information from sales to enroll people in a membership and then threaten to charge them if they don't cancel. I will never, ever, ever buy from Barnes and Noble again... and from seeing all the complaints online here, it looks like that is a really good decision.

barnes and noble is the worst. I've been waiting on a replacement nook for over 2 weeks now, and every customer service rep is giving me the run around. They are very incompetent with answering questions. I see why they have shut down most of the barnes and noble book stores. They are the worst. I will be moving on to the amazon kindle products in the future....

sad and disappointing

so listen i got a nook color for my daughter. and the charger stopped working around august and i got a car charger for $25.i told myself i would use my replacement thing so i can get a regular charger but clean my room today i remembered about it so i called them and about after a 20 min. of their dumb song i talked to them and what my paper said about the date i purchased it they said they had a different date so i could not get my nook and after about 5 calls they told me they had no manager at the time so they could not help me so i have to deal with these fools tomorrow and after i was done with calling them my daugther came to me and said "mommy did you get my charger" so happy. i had to tell her no and say i am going to try again tomorrow.But next time i am getting apple do the same.

people read the books, and rip out pages. Si when you go to buy a book, and notice the rips, if you don't have a recipt, they will not even consider giving you a credit to change out the book, they manager was very rude and sarcastic 152 Miracle Mile Coral Gabl;es, Fla.

bad customer service

Ive called the san antonio, san pedro location 3 times now and been hung up on. They answer the phone and I hear rustling around, and then click. I understand theyre busy with the holidays and what not, but its a bit unnerving to be on hold for over 20 mins listening to the b&n nook intro over and over just to be hung up on. If you werent the only decent book store, you would loose my business.
